Thomas: Brooke and I didn't sleep together.
Stephanie: Oh, would you please-- don't let this maneuver that she's pulled change your mi--
Thomas: M-maneuver? Grandma, she's put almost every dime she has into a foundation named after you. She's trying to make amends for this-- this horrible thing she did, except, Grandma, she didn't do anything.
Stephanie: Oh, well, she's done plenty, okay, things you have no knowledge of, things that people will never forgive her for or forget, all right? Come on, your father's free. Let's just move on.
Brooke: I'm gonna have to live with that, but you don't have to, Ridge. You can heal. You can heal yourself. You can heal your family. I want you to be there for Thomas and for Steffy and for Taylor. (Sighs) I don't want to bring you any more pain, and I love you enough to know that I need to do what's right, given what I've done. Reunite your family. Marry Taylor.
Taylor: Ridge? What are you doing here?
Katie: Brooke, hey.
Donna: Why have you not been answering your phone?
Brooke: (Sighs) Because I needed some time to myself.
Katie: Listen, there is obviously something going on with you. We want you to talk to us. We're not leaving until you do.
Stephanie: When you inherit my shares in this company, you will have the controlling interest. You'll be the head of the company. You'll be the head of the family.
Thomas: You make it sound like I accepted a bribe.
Stephanie: Well, when I offered you the opportunity, you certainly grabbed at it. Oh, come on, Tom. This is your chance to make your mark on Forrester.
Thomas: Yeah, but do I deserve it if I lied to get it?
Stephanie: Oh, Tom.
Steffy: Hey, I heard you were here. Um, guess what?
Thomas: (Sighs) Seriously, not now, Steffy.
Steffy: Dad's over at mom's house. He pulled up when I was laving.
Stephanie: Oh, well, then I think the two of you should get over there right away.
Steffy: No, I think we should give them their privacy.
Stephanie: Sometimes these things need a helping hand. This might be one of those times.
Taylor: I was up at the office earlier, and I didn't see you there.
Ridge: I left early.
Taylor: Oh. Well, I was about to make something to eat. Do you want anything?
Ridge: No, thank you. Are the kids here?
Ridge: It's so quiet when they're not here. It wasn't like that when we were together, was it? I remember the noise...
Taylor: (Laughs) Yeah.
Ridge: The CD players, the video games, the blaring TV. (Sighs) The arguments.
Taylor: Yes, the arguments.
Ridge: Feet on the stairs.
Ridge: How was it for you, Doc? How is it for you being here with all the memories?
Taylor: I love this house. I always have. After Phoebe died, that--that was pretty difficult, but, um, I think all I could feel was her absence for the longest time.
Ridge: When I'm here, I-I feel her presence.
Taylor: Yeah. I think... I think I feel that, too. But, you know, with any change or--or loss, it always takes a little time to adjust.
Ridge: You always seem to have the advice I need.
Taylor: So is that what you came over here for, some advice? Or is there something else you need?
Katie: Honey, we're worried about you.
Donna: You really shouldn't be here all by yourself.
Brooke: Hope will be home tonight.
Katie: Yeah, well, Hope is celebrating her boyfriend's freedom from Amber. Sorry, Donna.
Donna: (Chuckles) Yeah, see? You're not the only Logan sister with problems. And you know what they say. If you can't solve them, share them.
Taylor: No, I understand. That's fine. Sure. We'll just reschedule next week. No problem. All right, thank you. Bye-bye.
Taylor: You still haven't answered my question.
Ridge: When was this picture taken?
Taylor: I have no idea. What? Oh, years ago. (Chuckles)
Ridge: What do you remember about it?
Taylor: I think I was actually shocked that I was able to get everybody in the same room at the same time. We were all so busy.
Ridge: I must have missed hundreds of moments like that.
Taylor: Well, Ridge, you-- you had two families, you know? You love them both, but you can't be everywhere at the same time. I'm glad you're here now. Although, you still haven't told me why.
Ridge: I saw Brooke earlier. She's very serious about changing her life.
Taylor: That's good for her, although it doesn't change what has happened to our son and the pain that she's caused him or you.
Ridge: She knows that. So do I. I only mention it because I feel like I have to do something to change my life, too.
Taylor: Nothing as radical as what Brooke's doing, I hope.
Ridge: She's giving up everything for a cause, Doc. It's a very understandable impulse, wanting to be a part of something much greater than yourself.
Taylor: You're not thinking of starting your own foundation, are you? (Chuckles)
Ridge: No. I don't feel I really have to do that, 'cause I'm already part of something greater than myself. I just haven't been giving it the attention it deserves.
Stephanie: Please do not let guilt get the better part of you. Brooke's foundation, your parents getting together-- I mean, this is all so positive.
Thomas: Grandma, all those things-- it doesn't make what I did right.
Stephanie: If you want your parents to be together, if you want this story to have a happy ending, then make it happen.
Steffy: So you still don't want to play matchmaker.
Thomas: No, I want my parents back together just as much as anybody.
Stephanie: Well, good. Go home. Spend the evening with them.
Thomas: I'm sorry. I told the guys downstairs I'm working late.
Stephanie: Do something for me.
Thomas: Hey, guys.
Steffy: Well, I can try, but you know what? Thomas does have a point. Dad's still processing what Brooke did...
Steffy: And we can't just push him towards mom if he's not ready.
Stephanie: You know, when it comes to business, your father is very decisive. When it comes to Brooke, mnh-mnh. He needs a little motivation.
Steffy: She had sex with his son. How much more motivation does he need?
Stephanie: Take this. Keep it.
Thomas: All right. I told the guys downstairs that I'm leaving early. Are you happy?
Stephanie: I'm very happy. Go home. Spend some time with your folks.
Katie: Look, we know that something is going on.
Donna: Something's wrong, honey. I--you're not yourself.
Katie: You haven't been since you got back, since Ridge rescued you.
Donna: And you're acting a little bizarre, giving away almost everything that you own.
Katie: Yeah, why didn't you mention that earlier?
Brooke: You heard about the foundation?
Katie: Yeah. I-I can't believe you-- you didn't tell us about it.
Donna: Why didn't you tell us about it?
Katie: I mean, this is a huge decision. I can't believe you didn't discuss it with your family.
Brooke: Well... (sighs) there's really nothing to discuss. It's done. It's--it's over.
Donna: What's over?
Katie: Look, we just heard that you quit your job, too. Uh, did you do something else?
Brooke: I told Ridge to make a life with Taylor. I told him to marry her.
Katie: Why on earth would you do something like that?
Brooke: It had to be done.
Donna: Brooke, my God, look at you. You're--you're like the walking dead.
Brooke: (Sighs) It was a difficult conversation.
Donna: Because you still love him and he still loves you, doesn't he?
Taylor: You're talking about our family.
Taylor: And this change you want to make somehow involves us?
Ridge: I hope so. Doc, I didn't think that Brooke would ever cross the line with Thomas.
Taylor: Of course, you didn't. Brooke is your wife.
Ridge: Was my wife.
Steffy: Good. You're still here.
Ridge: Hey, come on in. Hey, Thomas, where are you going?
Thomas: To my room.
Ridge: No, you're not. Son, I'd--I'd like you to stay. No matter what happened, we're still a family. And we should be together.
Taylor: Your father had just stopped by and- and was telling me that he wanted to make some changes in his life.
Steffy: What kind of changes? You're not going back to Brooke, are you?
Ridge: No. Steffy, come here. I haven't always been as much a part of your lives as you'd hoped I would be, and that's hurt you. The decisions I've made weren't always in your best interest, especially the ones involving Brooke. (Sighs) Thomas, Brooke... confessed to everything-- how she gave you those berries took advantage. She's accepted responsibility for what's happened. I still can't believe it. But, uh, Brooke has proven to be a danger to this family. And for that, I am extremely sorry. (Sighs) But I didn't come here to--to demonize Brooke. I'm here because... this... is where I need to be.
Katie: (Sighs) I'm sorry, but this doesn't make any sense to me.
Donna: Honey, you and Ridge were fine. When you got back from the island, he'd never been more in love with you.
Brooke: This--this isn't even about my marriage. This is about me and the way I want to live my life, the kind of person I want to be. I was forced to take a very hard look at myself.
Katie: By whom? Uh, Taylor? Stephanie?
Brooke: No. No, this was all my decision, all of it-- Forrester, the foundation, Ridge and Taylor.
Donna: (Scoffs) Look, if--if Ridge wanted to be with Taylor, he'd be with Taylor.
Brooke: Yes, and he will be, and she's going to make him very happy. She's gonna bring him a lot of peace and a lot of serenity, and she's gonna be a great example for Hope.
Katie: Whoa, whoa, you--you're talking about her like she's some kind of saint. I mean, she's not a saint. She's not perfect. She makes mistakes just like the rest of us. I mean, look at what happened with Whip and with Rick.
Katie: And--and don't even get me started on her daughter. Steffy is continuously coming on to my husband, and--and Stephanie--
Donna: Don't even get me started on Stephanie, okay?
Brooke: No, Stephanie isn't the problem here. I am.
Katie: Brooke, what is going on?
Brooke: (Sighs) I did something on that island... (sighs) after I ate the berries, and it was--it was horrible and so perverse. (Sighs) I-I'm sorry. I can't even tell you. I'm so ashamed.
Katie: Honey, we are your sisters. You can tell us anything.
Donna: Please, Brooke, please. I-I mean, we're gonna find out. Please.
Brooke: I slept with his son. (Sighs)
Steffy: Something major is happening right now.
Taylor: Yeah, you're right. So many good memories.
Ridge: You know what I remember most? How happy we were, the five of us. Our three beautiful children playing on this floor, doing their homework on this couch. And Phoebe putting on her performances right here in this very room, a little shining star.
Taylor: I still miss her so much.
Ridge: We both do.
Taylor: Your marriage to Brooke is over.
Ridge: What she did with Thomas was horrible, unforgiveable under any circumstance. We have to find our own way to move on here, Doc, one that helps us heal, one that helps us and brings us together. Our family has been fractured. We need to pick up the pieces and rebuild. This is our time. This... is our beginning. I want to come home, Doc, put our family back together. Marry me.
