Brooke: Sweetheart. I wish I could tell you it didn't happen. I wish to God it never had, but it's true. The reason Ridge left...
Hope: (Breathing heavily)
Brooke: Thomas and I... we made love on the island.
Stephanie: You and Brooke both ate the berries, am I right?
Stephanie: She can't seem to remember anything. She says that she blacked out. So I think that you should remind her that the two of you had sex on the island.
Thomas: No, Grandma, I told you. We didn't have sex.
Stephanie: No, Tom, you did.
Dayzee: Do you want to talk about it?
Thomas: I'm just struggling with something.
Dayzee: Well, obviously it's complicated...
Dayzee: And personal, too, I'm guessing. Hey, I'm just sorry it's weighing on you.
Nick: Aha! Told you. Told you. Pay up, Buddy. Pay up.
Whip: Ha! Uh, no. No, see-- what? No, no. What are you-- what are you talkin about? No, no, no the bet was Owen shirtless. He's not.
Nick: No, no, no, no, no, no. The bet was that he would have his mouth wrapped around my mother's face, and he does.
Nick: Pay up.
Whip: You know what? You're lucky you're the boss. There.
Nick: Thank you. Thank you. (Chuckles) (Scoffs)
Owen: Is there something that we can do for you guys?
Whip: Yes, as a matter of fact. Forrester Creations is winning the media war, so we gotta step up our game, which means we're gonna have to develop a better relationship with Bill Spencer and his media conglomerate pronto.
Bill: So that's it?
Vanessa: Justin wanted me to remind you about the Berlantif proposal.
Bill: Tomorrow. Tell him I said you're done for the night. That'll aggravate him.
Vanessa: Good night. Thanks.
Steffy: My father left Brooke, and he is never going back. Brooke made sure of it. (Sighs)
Whip: I've come up with some ideas.
Jackie: Hopefully how to woo Bill Spencer and his considerable influence in the fashion world over to team Jackie M.!
Whip: Yes. Unfortunately, though, there's one little person in our merry little band that Billy boy's not too keen on.
Owen: Which could work against us, unless that certain someone is willing to play nice.
Nick: The man came onto my boat and punched me in the mouth. If is wife wasn't there, I would have drowned him.
Jackie: Well, I'm sure that being the bigger man, you won't mind turning the other cheek. And you did work together to find Brooke and Thomas.
Nick: A crisis situation that is now behind us. Now we move back to sheer hatred.
Bill: O-okay, Steffy, help me with this. Why would Ridge walk out on Brooke when he just rescued her and Thomas?
Steffy: Well-- well, there's more. My mom ended her marriage with Whip.
Bill: Okay, so now your father and Taylor?
Steffy: I guess she never stopped loving him. Look, I know this sounds sappy, and I get that divorce happens and families fracture, but, you know, if my mom and dad-- if they never get back together, it doesn't mean they don't love Thomas and me any less. They've always made sure of that. But if they do reunite, God, it's gonna be the best day of my life. Thomas's, too.
Dayzee: (Sighs) Whatever's going on, I am sure you're gonna do the right thing.
Thomas: (Scoffs) For who, though? Dayzee, I thought I knew. Now I'm not so sure.
Stephanie: Tom, I-- (Gasps)
Stephanie: What a nice surprise.
Stephanie: I didn't know you were here.
Dayzee: Yeah. Oh.
Stephanie: (Laughs) Am I interrupting something?
Dayzee: Oh, no, um... (Clears throat) I was actually just asking Thomas why I hadn't seen his grandmother at Dayzee's lately. And now I know why. You've been keeping an eye on him after what happened on the island.
Brooke: I understand why you can't look at me and the disgust you're feeling I keep asking myself, "Have Taylor and Stephanie been right all these years? Am I really a sexual predator? Is that who I am?" My own husband's son. I mean, no wonder Ridge left me. He should have. And maybe you should, too, after everything I've done to you.
Bill: Well, I hope, uh, everything works out.
Steffy: You know, for the first time in a long time, I think it just might. But... that is not why I'm here.
Bill: What is it?
Steffy: I need a favor.
Bill: A favor. Everybody needs a favor. What?
Steffy: Okay, you know, I said this before, but, um, I want to be the host of "The Catwalk."
Bill: You were serious about that?
Steffy: Yes, I am. And it is the perfect venue to promote Taboo for Women. Plus I guarantee you, I will get you way better ratings than Pam and Donna ever did. So what do you say, Boss? We have a deal?
Dayzee: I have to go. We're shorthanded at Dayzee's.
Dayzee: Sorry. Okay, um, don't be a stranger. Come by and see me.
Dayzee: Everyone misses you.
Stephanie: I miss them. Give them big hugs for me.
Dayzee: I will. And you-- you and Brooke survived the unthinkable, and I know itís changed you, Thomas. I know it has. I noticed it from the moment you got back. But now I'm sensing that something else has happened, something more that you're keeping in. I could be making it all up. I know. But whatever it is, I'm here for you, okay? So is your grandma. All right, bye.
Stephanie: I see you wrestling with this whole dilemma. Well, so am I. I haven't forgotten, you know, what Brooke did, what we shared down there on skid row. I'd given up on life, and she refused to let me die. I hate this. I hate the fact-- and I know you don't believe it-- that we've had to lie, and we have a-a secret to keep. But I know Brooke. If you love her, you end up disappointed. Ask her own children.
Hope: I want the truth, all of it. The berries that you and Thomas ate, did--did you know that they were going to have that effect on you?
Brooke: No. (Sighs)
Hope: (Sighs) Oh, God. But you did seduce him. I mean, you're-- you're not denying that?
Brooke: I don't-- I don't know.
Hope: You don't know? Mom, what are you talking about? For God sakes, stop lying to me.
Brooke: I am not lying. I don't remember.
Hope: You don't remem--okay. You--okay, but you remember going into the cave with Thomas after you ate the berries. You remember the-- the walls of the cave coming alive and-- and there was apparently a waterfall, and you remember falling onto a bed of poppies. But you don't remember anything about the seduction?
Brooke: Sweetheart, please.
Hope: My God, how am I supposed to believe that that's all that you can recall until--until what? You woke up with your clothes on, off, what?
Brooke: I told you. We don't remember too much what happened after we ate the berries. It wasn't until we got home that Thomas started having these flashes.
Hope: Oh, God, the two of you making love.
Brooke: I don't want to believe it happened. I-I-I can't imagine that I would do something like that. But Thomas, he-- he wouldn't lie, not about this.
Hope: How do you know? I mean, how can you be sure? You say that you don't remember anything. I mean, maybe that means--
Brooke: No, no, no, don't say it. James already did.
Hope: Wait a second. Dr. Warwick thinks that Thomas is lying?
Brooke: Well, he's wrong. Thomas is a victim of me, of my perverse sexuality.
Hope: Is he?
Hope: O-or are you a victim of a very, very sick lie?
Bill: "The Catwalk," huh?
Steffy: Yes. Yes, I have a million ideas how to make the show hot, fun, fresh. And plus, as host, it'll give me a reason to be near you, other than the obvious.
Bill: Which is?
Steffy: You know how I feel about you. And I know how you feel about me. You said that you love me, and you know I love you, too. And I get it.
Steffy: Okay? I get it. I'm not gonna push. I know that it's complicated. But just please-- just give me this job. You'll be happy you did. I'll make sure of it.
Whip: Okay, so we got a plan? Excellent.
Owen: (Chuckles) Look at you. This is really good to see you taking charge again, Whip.
Jackie: Our campaigns were masterful when you were at the top of your game, Whip. I mean, indulge, cabana boy, safari.
Owen: Ohh, yeah.
Jackie: God, they were great times. I so miss them.
Whip: Well, you know what? I think our cougar is ready to prowl again. (Snorts) (Growls)
Jackie: Oh, grr.
Whip: Yes, Ma'am.
Owen: Oh, you, Cougar, you.
Jackie: Oh, Baby. Mm.
Jackie: Yes, yes, yes. (Laughs)
Hope: Is Dad leaving you?
Brooke: He's taken off his wedding band, so I'm...
Brooke: I'm afraid it could be over.
Hope: Over... for you two, but just beginning again for him and Taylor. You know, Thomas has had trouble with us in the past, I mean, especially with Rick a-and our family. I mean, if he wanted to cause problems again...
Brooke: No, no, Hope. Please, that doesn't make sense.
Hope: No, what doesn't make any sense, Mom, is that you can remember every detail of what happened while you were under the influence of whatever was in those berries, except you can't remember making love to Thomas. It's a complete blank for you. But not to him.
Brooke: That doesn't mean he's lying. I'm probably blocking it out.
Hope: No. No, I-I-I-I think, Mom, this is--this is part of a pattern. I mean, think--think about this. Think about it. There was that kiss on the runway. There--oh, God, there was that kiss on the plane while you were sleeping. I mean, he was the one who initiated both of those kisses, right?
Brooke: Yes, but--
Hope: Okay, well, Thomas says that this was all innocent on his part, but I-it has certainly caused a lot of problems for you and Dad, so much so, in fact, that I-- I mean, Dad said if-- if a line were ever crossed again, then that'd be the end of your marriage, and that is exactly what's happened. Dad is gone. He's off with Taylor, and their family is probably reuniting right now all because Thomas claims that the two of you made love while you were drugged.
Brooke: (Sighs) I just can't fathom that Thomas would be lying... (Sighs) Not that I didn't question his claim.
Hope: Okay, well, you should question it, because your marriage and family are hanging in the balance. (Sighs) Oh, God.
Brooke: Are you leaving?
Hope: Yes. But I am not leaving you.
Hope: Okay? Hey. It's okay. (Sighs) Its okay. I will be back, okay?
Stephanie: No, it's me.
Stephanie: He's not coming back, you know.
Stephanie: You've gotta get some help. I mean that. I-I don't care whether it's a minister or a psychiatrist, but you've gotta get some help to fix yourself. You're gonna have to face some very difficult truths about yourself, and you just can't avoid it any longer.
Hope: So I talked to my mom today. I found out that, um, my dad didn't come home last night. I also found out why. You know, a-a-at first, when I found out, I felt sick, thinking that she had done something this scandalous again, something-- something so reprehensible that I would want nothing to do with her. Really, her-- her own daughter, so--so repulsed by what you say happened between the two of you on that island that I-I don't think I could even look at her again. You know where she is right now, Thomas? She's, um, she's at home totally consumed in self-doubt, guilt, questioning herself and soul-searching, wondering is--is-- is she really the person that your mother and grandmother always claimed her to be-- a sexual predator, totally without morals? You know what, Thomas? She's not. See, I think that we both know that she's not. She would never, ever betray my dad that way. She loves him way too much. She loves both of you too much to ever, ever do what you are claiming that you did on that island. And you know what? I-I-I think that's why she doesn't remember having sex with you, but--but she--she can remember everything else so vividly. It's because it never happened, did it, Thomas?
Thomas: Under any other circumstances--
Hope: She would have never let it happen.
Thomas: No, but these weren't normal circumstances, Hope.
Hope: Yeah, mm-hmm.
Thomas: The berries made us hallucinate, and things happened that we never could have imagined, okay?
Hope: Oh, yeah, I'm sure, yeah, but not sex, Thomas, not while you were so weak and emaciated especially. I'm sorry, but it just-- it doesn't make any sense, and neither do these "Flashbacks" that you're all of a sudden having, which, I'm sorry, is just-- it's way too convenient. My mother's world is falling apart. You know, Dad gave her back his wedding band. And now he's spending time with your mother. I mean, isn't that so nice that, while my family is falling apart, yours is just coming together? And, you know, what kills me the most, Thomas, is that she keeps defending you. She keeps saying that you're telling the truth. You're right. That's how much she believes in you, but you know what? I don't believe in you. I don't believe you for a second, Thomas. It didn't happen, did it? Admit it. Do the right thing here and admit that you are lying.
