Whip: Taylor?

Man: She's going into anaphylactic shock.

Whip: Taylor?

Thomas: Mom? Mom?

Whip: Taylor, hang on.

Thomas: Please, do something!

Whip: Hang on. Get her-- get her out of here!

Thomas: She can't breathe, okay? Help her! Mom?

(Indistinct radio chatter)

Brooke: This probably doesn't make any sense to you.

Ridge: There's a lot goin' on inside of you. You need to get it out.

Brooke: Yes. (Sighs) I do.

Ridge: I'm listening.

Ridge: Logan, there's nothing you can't tell me. There really isn't. I want you to open up to me here.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: Just tell me everything.

(Door opens)

Stephanie: Oh. I guess I should have called.

Man: Pupils are dilated. Pulse ox is 80.

Whip: You're gonna be okay. Just hang on, all right?

Man: Breathing is shallow and tachypneic.

Man: Dispatch, alert University. We're inbound with a female patient, 40s, possible anaphylaxis or unintentional poisoning.

Whip: Poison?

Thomas: No, she--she's gonna be all right. Okay, she has to be.

Whip: Hang on, Taylor.

Man: University E.T.A. ten minutes.

Whip: I'm gonna ride along in the ambulance. You gonna be okay?

Thomas: Yeah.

Whip: All right. Hang on, Taylor. Stay with me. You're okay.

Stephanie: Well, everybody at Dayzee's just adores you. They were very concerned about you.

Brooke: Oh, that's lovely. So nice of everybody, including you, for bringing this over.

Stephanie: You're welcome.

(Cell phone rings) (Ring)

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: It's Thomas. Yeah?

Thomas: Dad, you have to get down to the University Hospital.

Ridge: What's wrong?

Thomas: It's Mom. Uh, she was-- she was accidentally poisoned.

Ridge: Taylor's been poisoned?

Stephanie: What?

Whip: Doctor! Can we get a doctor, please?

Dr. Lewis: Taylor, can you hear me? It's Dr. Lewis.

Man: O2 sat and B.P. are low. Patient is altered and unresponsive.

Man: We administered epinephrine. No improvement.

Dr. Lewis: What did she ingest?

Man: A berry of foreign origin.

Thomas: I-I brought them back from the pacific. It must have gotten mixed up in her food.

Dr. Lewis: How many?

Thomas: I don't know.

Whip: Look, Doctor, I-I'm her husband. She--she was hallucinating, and--and then she collapsed.

Dr. Lewis: We'll take it from here. Get her into exam two. I want a C.B.C., Chem 12, and a Tox screen. Also administer 0.4 grams of Naloxone I.V.

Whip: Hang on, Taylor. Hang on.

Dr. Lewis: I'll do everything I can.

Whip: Thank you, Doctor. Where are you going?

Thomas: I should be with her.

Whip: Not until you give me some answers.

Thomas: Whip, it was an accident.

Whip: You bring poison into our house?

Thomas: They aren't poisonous. I had them tested. Look, I don't know why she's reacting like this. It must be a reaction from her food or her medication, okay? She's gonna need all the help we can give her.

Whip: No, not we, Thomas. You. You did this. Listen, you're gonna tell that doctor everything, and I mean everything that she needs to know to make your mother well.

Thomas: (Sighs)

Brooke: come on, Thomas. Answer. (Sighs) Thomas, I heard about your mother. Ridge said she may have been poisoned. What happened? Call me. (Sighs)

(Monitors beeping)

Dr. Lewis: Tell the lab I want those test results A.S.A.P.

Whip: How is she?

Dr. Lewis: Her heart rate is elevated. Her breathing is labored, but her oxygen level is improving.

Whip: Good.

Thomas: That's good.

Dr. Lewis: You said you were with her. She was hallucinating?

Whip: Yeah, I didn't realize it. I thought she was just jokin' around. She was talking about being on the--on a beach, and then... then she just collapse and she started breathing heavy.

Dr. Lewis: Her respiration has slowed. She's getting oxygen. But I'll have to order a blood gas if I don't see more improvement. I administered a dose of an antidote to opiates. We use it to treat overdoses.

Whip: You think those berries were opiates?

Dr. Lewis: I have no idea.

Thomas: Dr. Lewis, look. Mom? Mom?

Whip: Taylor?

Dr. Lewis: Taylor, its Dr. Lewis you're at University Hospital. Taylor, no. Uh, no. We gave that to you so you could breathe. You were having problems breathing. Do you remember what happened? Relax. Are you in any pain?

Taylor: (Sighs)

Dr. Lewis: Good. (Sighs) Your husband and your son are here

Thomas: Mom, you're gonna be okay.

Dr. Lewis: I'll have to administer more tests, but she seems to be coming around.

Whip: Thank God.

Ridge: Taylor?

Taylor: (Sighs)

Ridge: You all right?

Taylor: Yeah.

Dr. Lewis: Her vitals are improving. Let's take off that mask and check on her breathing. Okay, Taylor, I'm gonna take this off. Here, help me out there. How you doin'?

Taylor: Mm, I'm fine.

Dr. Lewis: I'm going to check on her blood work, and I'll get back to you about the results.

Ridge: Okay.

Whip: Thank you, Doctor.

Ridge: How did this happen?

Taylor: I don't know. The last thing I remember... (Sighs) I was...

Ridge: Were you-- were you drugged?

Whip: She was hallucinating, and she collapsed.

Ridge: Did you take something?

Stephanie: Was it a drug interaction?

Thomas: (Clears throat) This is all my fault, okay? I-did this. I accidentally drugged my own mom.

Stephanie: Berries?

Ridge: You brought them back from the island?

Stephanie: Why would you do that?

Whip: Yeah, that's what I'd like to know.

Thomas: I wanted to have them analyzed, okay? Okay, I've never seen anything like 'em before.

Ridge: So you gave one to your mother to eat?

Thomas: No, okay? Mom, I had--I had them out. You were--you were eating berries for lunch. (Sighs) It was an accident.

Taylor: I know. I know.

Thomas: Mom, I'm so sorry. But don't worry, okay? I--my--my friend who looked at 'em said there won't be any lasting effects.

Whip: Oh, a-a-a friend, that's who analyzed 'em, huh? A friend? We're supposed to trust that?

Thomas: She's reliable, okay? She's a chemist.

Ridge: Look, Taylor's all right. She's feeling better. That's all that really matters okay?

Dr. Lewis: Good news. The labs look normal. Whatever affect the berries had, they are wearing off. But I would like to keep you here for observation, but I think you will be home with your family tonight. I do have one further examination I would like to do.

Stephanie: Oh.

(Cell phone rings)

Brooke: (Sighs) Thomas, I've been trying to reach you.

Thomas: Mom's fine.

Brooke: What happened?

Thomas: She ate the berries.

Brooke: Oh, Thomas, no.

Thomas: I know. I should have gotten rid of them. I-I was going to. Look, it--it was a fluke. I didn't even realize what was happening until I saw hr reaction.

Brooke: She was hallucinating?

Thomas: She was hallucinating. She, uh, got sick and couldn't breathe.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Thomas: She's feelin' a lot better and could possibly come home today.

Brooke: (Sighs) Well, that's a relief.

Thomas: Brooke, don't worry. It's okay. Just meet me at the office, and I will explain everything.

(Monitors beeping)

Dr. Lewis: I'll be back to check on you in a bit.

Ridge: Thank you, Doctor.

Whip: Thank you, Doctor.

Thomas: Everything okay?

Whip: Yeah, no thanks to you and your poisonous berries.

Stephanie: I don't understand. Why did you bring them back? Why are you so curious about them?

Ridge: Did you know what they'd do to your mother?

Thomas: Look, Mom, when I saw you on the floor, I-it completely freaked me out.

Whip: Yeah, well, it didn't take you long to figure it out, did it, Thomas?

[Stephanie remembering]

Brooke: Everything was lost because of... of drugs.

Ridge: Let's just focus on your mother right now, okay?

Stephanie: Yes.

Thomas: Mom...

Stephanie: She needs some rest.

Thomas: Look, I didn't mean to hurt you.

Taylor: I know that.

Thomas: But I have, okay? I've caused you so much stress and so much pain. I don't want to do that, and I'm sorry. I'm sorry if I made you feel like... you were in my way or intruding.

Taylor: I only want to see you happy.

Thomas: Want that for you, too I love you, Mom.

Taylor: I love you.

Thomas: I'll call Steffy, uh, let her know what's goin' on.

Stephanie: Whip, could I talk for a minute outside, please? It's okay. We'll just be right outside. We'll be back. Take it easy. Keep getting better. Whip?

Whip: Just give me a minute.

Taylor: I'll be fine.

Whip: You gave me quite a scare, you know.

Taylor: I can only imagine.

Whip: You don't remember anything you s-said, anything I said?

Taylor: I was someplace else.

Whip: Well, I'm glad you're back. Check it out. Huh?

Stephanie: Exactly what happened?

Whip: I don't know exactly what happened, Stephanie. I was actually trying to get that out of Thomas.

Stephanie: Well, when did-- when did you realize-- I mean, when did you know she was ill?

Whip: Right around the time that she collapsed.

Stephanie: And she was hallucinating?

Whip: Yeah, I-it just-- it didn't make sense. You know what? It--she was on her way to--to--to the hospital. She went upstairs to get her lab coat, and then she came down and all of a sudden, she starts talking about the beach and--and-- and a treasure hunt.

Stephanie: A treasure hunt?

Whip: Yeah, I know, I should have realized it sooner, but, you know... (Sighs) Things haven't been all that great between us since she's been back so... we haven't really...

Stephanie: Became amorous?

Whip: Yeah, yeah, if you must know.

Stephanie: So... oh, so these berries are sort of a-an aphrodisiac?

Whip: I've never seen her like that. You know- those berries could have killed her. I don't care what Thomas says about there's no residual effects. I mean, why was he having them analyzed in the first place? Why is he so interested?

(Door opens)

Brooke: Oh, you scared me.

Jake: Oh, I'm sorry. Uh, if you're lookin' for Ridge, I think he went home.

Brooke: Yeah, he did.

Jake: Anything I can help you with?

Brooke: No, no, I'm-- I'm okay, thanks.

Jake: Okay. Okay.

Ridge: You look a little shaky.

Taylor: N-no, I feel fine.

Ridge: It sounded like you were pretty far gone. It might take a little while for you to actually come back down from all this.

Taylor: I'm not sure I want to. (Sighs) I know I should have been scared, but I wasn't. I wasn't scared.

Ridge: You told Whip you don't remember.

Taylor: I don't remember him being there. I know he was there, but... it was... it was really different for me.

Ridge: You were hallucinating?

Taylor: It's like, um, my mind... opened up and it-- it took me back to the most special time in my life, and, um, I went back to St. Thomas, back when you proposed to me.

Ridge: (Sighs)

Taylor: And everything just-- it felt so right-- the most incredible feelings... every single feeling that I felt then, I felt it again, and... (Sighs) That where my mind went-- to the island we named our beautiful son after. You know, Ridge, of all the places my mind would take me, that's where it--it went. Like it went back in time, and it was real, and it was happening at that moment, and I was there with you. And everything was perfect. Everything was exactly the way it was. All I knew is that you were in my life, and I knew that I had you, and I knew that you were everything, and we had a future. And I knew that I loved you, and I... and all I wanted to do... I gotta tell you, those berries, tho--those are powerful aphrodisiacs.

Ridge: (Chuckles)

Taylor: You know what? Every single sensation in my body was on fire. It was like I could just feel every muscle in my body was tensing with desire, and I just wanted you. I relived everything, Ridge, every single hope and dream we talked about-- everything, everything before we lost Phoebe, everything that was right, everything before our family fell apart and that's all I wanted. I wanted to hang on to those feelings, because now it's like there's a big hole in my heart. All I could feel was you and how much I love you. It was such a deep, deep love. And I thought I'd moved on from that. I thought I was better, and I'd put my life back together. And I know those feelings are never gonna come back. I know this hole in my heart's never going to come together and feel normal again. I-I keep telling myself I'm happy, but I'm not. I'm not okay. (Sniffles) I want... I want to feel better. I want those feelings back. I-I didn't even know that they were gone. I forgot what it felt like to feel that happy. All I know is I'll always love you. I will always love you. That's never going to change.

Ridge: I love you, too, Doc.

Taylor: (Sniffles)
