Ridge: She's hangin' in there, Mother. She finally fell asleep after being up all night.
Stephanie: Well, I think the three of you really need some sleep, don't you?
Ridge: No, I can't.
Eric: What's the next step?
Taylor: Well, Ridge and I, we want to go back out there.
Ridge: Hey, is, uh, R.J. close by?
Stephanie: Uh, no, no. Hope took him out for breakfast. Uh, we're trying to keep things as normal as possible.
Ridge: Okay, good. We want to go back out to where the pilot's body was found and continue searching from there.
Stephanie: Uh, honey, uh, uh, Pam and, uh, and-- and Stephen just arrived.
Eric: Uh, Ridge, you're not just blindly searching the ocean, are you?
Ridge: I know it sounds futile, Dad, but what else can we do? I mean, what if they're holding onto a piece of the plane, drifting farther and farther away? We've gotta get back out there.
Taylor: And there are hundreds of islands out there. I mean, they--they could have washed a-ashore some place.
Ridge: That's what Bill is working on right now-- assessing the islands.
Katie: Um, is-- is Bill there? Can I talk to him?
Bill: Katie, you doin' okay?
Katie: I miss you.
Bill: I'll be home soon, and I'll have Brooke and Thomas with me. I have no doubt about that.
Brooke: (Whispering) Thomas?
Thomas: (Sighs) (Coughs) Morning. (Sighs)
Brooke: Good morning.
Thomas: Anybody feel like getting rescued today? (Groans)
Whip: Well, the plane is fully wired. They're using cell, Internet, everything. They're using Bill's satellite phone from the boat.
Owen: I still can't believe this happened. This is horrible.
Jackie: You know, please tell Taylor if there is anything we can do...
Nick: I think maybe there is.
Nick: This is where they think the plane went down. This is my old shipping lanes. I've been through these waters hundreds of times. I know these waters. I can help find them.
Katie: Um, yeah, no, I think that's a good idea, and-- and if you can't pick R.J. up, then one of us can swing by and get him later on.
Stephanie: Oh, I'm hoping that's Dayzee. I asked her to come over.
Katie: Yeah, all right. I'll see you soon, sweetie. Bye. So R.J. wants to stay at Matthew's for a little while longer, and his mom knows everything, so I think it's-- it's a good idea.
Stephanie: No (Sighs) No news. Oh, honey.
Steffy: Is there word? Where are you going?
Taylor: No, there's no news, sweetie.
Ridge: We're-- we're heading back to the boat to keep looking.
Taylor: Go back to sleep. Get some rest.
Steffy: No, no, no, I'm not-- I'm good. I'm good. I-I can come.
Ridge: No, Steffy, it's better you stay here. You keep us posted if you hear word from the team, okay?
Bill: Steffy, stay. You can help me here. I'm ready to take this search up a notch.
Brooke: (Sighs) Any luck? (Sighs)
Thomas: It's only a little bit. It didn't rain last night. Here. (Sighs)
Brooke: Did you have any yet?
Thomas: Yeah. (Sighs)
Brooke: No, you didn't. We share.
Thomas: I don't need it, okay? Just drink. (Sighs) (Coughs)
Brooke: (Sighs) We need more water.
Thomas: It'll rain again soon. We'll figure something out, okay? We're gonna make it through this.
Brooke: (Scoffs) What's happening? This dress!
Thomas: Hold on. Hold on. Here. (Sighs) Put this on.
Brooke: (Sighs) Oh. Thank you.
Brooke: You know, we really should eat those berries.
Thomas: It's tempting, I know, but we can't. Brooke, these berries, they're our last resort for food. Let me try fishing again. Then we'd get some protein and some water.
Brooke: Okay. Okay.
Brooke: I'm gonna help.
Thomas: (Coughs) No, no. You need to rest.
Brooke: No, no, we're-- we're starving, Thomas. I'm gonna help.
Thomas: Okay. Maybe try to find some food while I fish. If you find something that we can eat, just... just bring it back, and we'll see.
Brooke: We're gonna take this day by day.
Thomas: (Chuckles) Not too many more of those. They're looking for us, Brooke.
Brooke: I know. Your father's coming.
Brooke: He is. He spoke to me last night directly. He told us to hold on, Thomas. He is. He's--he's coming, and he's going to rescue us, take us back home.
Stephanie: (Quietly) I didn't think you liked those things.
Dayzee: (Laughs) I saw the look on her face when I said no.
Dayzee: I don't want to upset anybody else today. You know?
Stephanie: I-I know.
Dayzee: There's too much to be sad about already.
Stephanie: (Sighs) Yeah.
Dayzee: I, um, I told Thomas that I would be his girlfriend.
Dayzee: Yeah. (Laughs)
Dayzee: Um, the day before he left. Yeah.
Stephanie: Oh, wow.
Dayzee: Do they hate me?
Dayzee: The Logans.
Dayzee: Because I came as Marcus' date to the wedding.
Stephanie: Oh, honey. Honey, they don't have time to worry about something like that now.
Stephanie: Nobody does, okay? Don't worry about it.
Dayzee: Mm-hmm. All right.
Whip: Yeah, these are the coordinates that the rescue team gave you?
Nick: That's right.
Jackie: Well, which way are they headed, because you keep looking over there.
Whip: Yeah, what if they go-- what if they went in the wrong direction, Nick? How far could Thomas and Brooke have drifted?
Owen: Yeah, I mean, could they have drifted as far as over there?
Whip: And how do you know which way the current goes?
Nick: I appreciate your help on this, but I think it'll go a lot faster if I do this alone.
Jackie: You're absolutely right. Come on. Let's skedaddle.
Whip: Jackie, come--
Jackie: Come on. Everybody out. Leave him. Let us know if you find anything, okay, honey? Come on, guys.
Nick: Well, let's hope that I do.
Bill: Within the hour is perfect. Excellent work, Hillary. I'll be waiting. All right.
Bill: Now we should get rolling here.
Steffy: You're seriously friends with the general in the military?
Bill: I told you I was takin' things up a notch. He's a friend of a friend.
Steffy: You know what? Why don't we just take a look at the maps, and maybe we can follow my dad and my mom and just give them advice about--
Bill: All right, Steffy. Steffy, take a breath, all right? Everything's gonna be okay.
Steffy: I just feel like we're not getting anywhere.
Bill: Well, we're about to.
Steffy: Because you're tying to get in touch with the general?
Bill: Uh, planes, boat, helicopters--they can only take us so far. We're going high-tech.
Steffy: What does that mean?
Bill: That means satellite imagery.
Captain Waisea: I just radioed the rescue team. We can be where they are in about 15 minutes.
Ridge: No, let's split from them.
Taylor: Try a different area.
Captain Waisea: Okay. Where do you want to go?
Ridge: Let's start where they found the pilot's body last night. We'll start from there.
Captain Waisea: Very well.
Brooke: (Grunting) Maybe just one. (Sighs)
Bill: This could be it. Bill Spencer. Yes, I will hold for the general.
General: Mr. Spencer, you have about two minutes of my time, which is more than I should give considering I don't believe we've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Bill: No, sir, we haven't but if you could give me--
General: Well, you obviously have friends in high enough places. What seems to be the problem?
Bill: I need a favor, and it's a matter of life and death.
Nick: This is it. This has to be it.
Captain Waisea: We are almost to where they found the body.
Ridge: Any islands near there?
Captain Waisea: Sure. Quite a few, actually.
Ridge: Okay, we'll start searching one by one. They've gotta be near.
Captain Waisea: It will take weeks, my friend.
Ridge: I don't give a damn.
(Satellite phone rings)
Taylor: Nick. Hold--hold on one second. Let me put you on speaker. Hold on.
Nick: Are you there with the rescue team?
Taylor: We're not very far from them.
Nick: I talked to Manasa earlier today. They gave me the coordinates of where they feel the plane went down. They headed north from there earlier. Now I've lost contact with them, but I gotta get in touch and get a message to them.
Ridge: Well, the captain of the boat's been in contact with them through the shortwave radio. We can definitely get a message to Manasa. Why, Nick? What the hell's going on?
Nick: I'm puttin' you on speaker. You're in my old shipping lane, Forrester. I know those waters. I've been tracking the currents, the weather pattern there. I think there's a good chance that Brooke and Thomas-- they went the other way.
Brooke: (Breathing deeply) (Gasps) (Sighs) (Breathing heavily) (Sighs) (Gasping) Mmm. (Sighs) (Breathing heavily) Oh, my God.
Brooke: (Sighs) (Grunts) (Gasping) (Breathing heavily) Mmm. (Laughs) Mmm. (Sighs) Mmm.
General: I'm very sorry you went to so much trouble to get ahold of me. I can't give you access to government satellites.
Bill: I was told you were the one to talk to. If that is not the case, I would appreciate if you could direct me--
General: You misunderstand. I'm the one to talk to, and I'm the one saying no. Are we finished?
Bill: No, sir, we are not finished. Two people are missing. Their plane went down in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. People I care about are affected. I'm on an island in the middle of nowhere on day three of a rescue attempt that is going to fall short if I don't have every resource possible available to me. I need that satellite feed, so I can scour every inch of every island that I can see. Now I want to bring these people home, but I am running out of time to do that. To that end, General, through certain, shall we say, discretionary channels I contribute huge sums of money to the United States Armed Forces. Now as a patriot, and as someone with enough clout to--
General: And you're asking as someone with enough clout to get in touch with me in the first place. You can't have clearance. But I'll send someone to you who does. He'll get everything you need uploaded on your computer, and he can take it away again when you're done.
Bill: Thank you, General. I appreciate your help, but I have to emphasize that time is of the essence, and I can't sit around and wait for somebody who's going--
General: I'm not an idiot, Mr. Spencer. I'm sending someone from our base in Samoa. It won't take him long. You'll hear from him soon, so stay by your phone.
Steffy: Oh, my God, Bill. Thank you.
Bill: This is it. This is it. Now we're going to find them.
Steffy: Oh, my God, thank you. (Sighs)
Captain Waisea: With all due respect to your friend, Manasa wants to stay on course. They’re quite confident in their plan.
Nick: They're not taking into account the crosscurrents.
Ridge: Nick, are you saying that they're heading in the complete opposite direction from where Brooke and Thomas are?
Nick: If they're headed north, yeah.
Taylor: What do we do?
Ridge: Are you sure about this?
Nick: No, but it makes the most sense to me.
Taylor: Nick does know this area. He knows these waters. This is where he worked all those years for-- for Marone Industries.
Nick: Trust me on this, Forrester. You want to see your wife and son again?
Ridge: All right, tell us what to do. We'll go where you say.
Nick: Give me the coordinates of where you are right now.
Captain Waisea: One moment.
Taylor: Thank you, Nick.
Thomas: Brooke! Brooke! What are you doing?!
Brooke: (Laughs) It's fine. It's the berries. They're great. They're delicious. Have some.
