(Camera shutter clicks)
Ridge: April, we need to bring this in tighter, show off your incredible figure.
April: Flattery from the boss.
Ridge: No, it's not flattery.
Ridge: All right, I like this. A half an inch will make all the difference between trampy and tantalizing. This is Forrester. We're going for tantalizing.
(Camera shutter clicks)
Ridge: Nice. How's it feel?
Ridge: That's all, Ladies. We're done here. Take these notes down to the sewers. Thank you.
Oliver: The designer in action. These are gonna be great for publicity shots in the press kit. You know, that--that last dress? That would look great on Hope. How is she?
Ridge: Oliver, I don't know what's goin' on with her. This whole thing is such a mess.
Oliver: She's so loyal. I know she's tryin' to be there for Liam.
Brooke: Just the man I wanted to see.
Brooke: Hi. Mwah. You almost done for the day?
Ridge: Oh, I wish.
Brooke: You wish? That sounds like another late night.
Ridge: We have so much goin' on around here-- Hope for the Future, our classic lines, and, of course, Taboo. Look at this mountain of stuff I've gotta get through.
Brooke: You have to do all of that tonight?
Ridge: Yeah, last night, actually.
Brooke: Oh, well, I'll help.
Ridge: I'll tell you what you could do to really help out. (Sighs)
Ridge: You could unbutton that first button.
Brooke: Oh, this?
Ridge: And the second one while you're at it, too.
Brooke: Okay, this is not gonna get us home any sooner.
Ridge: Logan, I need some inspiration here, okay? Give me a goal.
Brooke: (Sighs) You know what? Goals are good.
Brooke: I need a little inspiration, too. Where are your buttons? Hmm.
Ridge: I'm sure you can find them.
(Knock on door)
Hope: Hey... can we talk?
Brooke: Honey, what is it?
Hope: It's over. We ended it.
Ridge: You and Liam, huh?
Hope: Mm-hmm. We said good-bye. I didn't want to.
Brooke: Honey, I'm sorry.
Hope: And it is all because of Amber. She ruined everything-- everything.
Ridge: She has a way of doing that.
Hope: Yeah. You know, I don't wish bad things on people. I really don't. Um, but Amber has some seriously bad karma coming her way.
Steffy: Amber! Oh, my God.
Amber: Help me! Help!
Steffy: Amber, hold on. Take my hand!
Steffy: Take my hand.
Steffy: Take my hand! Give me the other one!
Amber: No! No!
Steffy: Other hand! God!
Steffy: Amber, come on! Amber, come on! Amber! Aah! Come on, Amber! (Grunts)
Steffy: (Grunts) Come on!
Amber: Oh, my God! Aah!
Steffy: (Breathing heavily)
Ridge: I don't get it. Bill got a house for Amber?
Hope: I don't know. I guess.
Brooke: No, I don't think so. Katie's been looking for a home in that area for quite some time. Maybe Bill decided to put Amber up there once they bought it.
Ridge: I bet that wouldn't strike too many good points with Katie, would it?
Brooke: (Sighs) It just doesn't seem right.
Ridge: No, it doesn't make sense at all. Bill wouldn't put Amber up in a flea-ridden hotel, much less a house on the beach.
Hope: I don't know. Maybe he's trying to move on and accept the situation like Liam is... like we all have to do. (Sighs)
Bill: Steffy, come to my office right away.
Donna: Bill? Why are you sitting here in the dark?
Bill: What is it, Donna?
Donna: Oh, sorry. Um, is Katie around?
Donna: You know, just because you're in a bad mood doesn't mean you have to take it out on everybody else. Okay. (Sighs) (Sighs) You want to talk about it?
Amber: (Sobs) God. Oh, my God.
Steffy: Breathe, Amber. Breathe.
Amber: You saved my life.
Steffy: I thought I was goin' over.
Amber: Me, too.
Steffy: You think you need doctor?
Amber: (Sobs) I'm, uh, I'm just--I'm-- I'm freaked out of my gourd. I am just... I think I'm okay. I'm just-- I've never been so scared.
Steffy: (Sighs) Yeah, me, too.
Amber: That damn branch. I mean, it must have just-- it must have been the branch.
Steffy: Is that what you think happened?
Amber: Yeah. I mean, it was so windy. I mean, what else? It must have just broken off and hit me. I don't know. I just... (Sighs)
Bill: What are you doin' here?
Steffy: I don't know. I was just--
Bill: You need to get in your car and go now.
Steffy: I can't believe it.
Amber: I know. I mean, talk about a-a freak accident. (Sighs) Bill has to be told about those branches.
Steffy: Yeah, he'll be shocked to hear where I found you. Look, um I need to go, but are... you gonna be okay?
Amber: (Sighs) I'm fine now thanks to you.
Amber: You saved my life. (Sighs) Thank you. (Sighs)
Steffy: Be careful, Amber.
Bill: There's nothing to talk about.
Donna: Something's wrong. I mean, not-- not because you're being rude. I-I'm used to that. But... you seem different.
Bill: It's been a long day, Donna. I'm sorry if I'm not providing you with the level of rudeness you've become accustomed to.
Donna: I-is everything okay with you and Katie?
Bill: Of course, it is.
Donna: Okay, um, is it Liam? Did--did--did he take a turn for the worse?
Bill: No, Liam is home from the hospital, and he is resting in his apartment. Liam's going to be just fine. Now I'd like to be alone.
Donna: Okay. (Laughs) Have a-a good night. Um, just tell Katie I'll call her.
Bill: Turn off the light.
Donna: All right. Okay
Hope: It's getting late. I should let you get back to work.
Ridge: Work can wait. You are far more important.
Brooke: Why don't we all go home together?
Hope: No, that's silly. I'm fine. I'm fine.
Hope: I am.
Brooke: Honey, we're here for you.
Hope: (Sighs) I knew it was going to be really hard. I just didn't know how bad it was going to hurt.
Ridge: But it is the best thing.
Hope: Yep. Who knows, maybe somewhere down the line --?
Brooke: No, no, don't say that. Just let Liam go. Okay? Let him be a dad. Down the line, you will find somebody who will commit to you fully. That is what you deserve. He's out there somewhere. I know it.
Hope: Maybe you're right.
(Knock on door)
Bill: Come in.
Bill: Good. You got my message. I need to talk to you about what happened earlier, what you saw at the beach house.
Ridge: She's going to be okay.
Brooke: I know. It's just such a painful thing to go through.
Ridge: Especially at that age.
Brooke: We're lucky that she's so strong and so smart.
Ridge: Logan, that has nothing to do with luck. That is because of you.
Brooke: Mm, I feel kind of guilty.
Brooke: I was telling her not to hold onto Liam and that somebody better will come along. If anybody ever gave me that advice about you, I would--
Ridge: Yeah, well we're different.
Brooke: (Laughs] Yeah, I suppose.
Brooke: Weren't we in the middle of unbuttoning a few things before Hope came in?
Ridge: Yes, actually we were.
Ridge: Yes, you were.
Brooke: Oh, okay hmm-hmm.
Ridge: Yeah, much better, much better. Keep going.
Brooke: Mm. I'm so grateful for what we have.
Ridge: As am I. Seeing what Hope's been going through it makes you really appreciate that a lot of couples don't make it.
Brooke: We almost didn't. (Sighs) But I don't worry about that anymore.
Ridge: Neither do I.
Amber: (Sighs) (Sighs) Everything's okay now.
Bill: Close the door. Did anyone see you leave the house?
Steffy: No, I don't think so. Why? Would that be a problem?
Bill: Possibly. Look, um, I know I seemed a bit, when I saw you earlier. I-I just wasn't expecting you to be there.
Steffy: Yeah, I could tell.
Bill: I told you to leave because something happened. There was a terrible accident, and I wasn't ready to talk about it when I saw you, but you do need to know. You need to be aware in case you are contacted by the police. Amber Moore is dead. She fell from my property down to the beach below. That's why I was so out of sorts and bolted out of there.
Steffy: She fell.
Bill: Yes, I saw it with my own eyes.
Steffy: And you just left? Why didn't you call for help?
Bill: There was no point, nobody could have survived that fall.
Steffy: What about the police, Bill?
Bill: If I called the police... if I called the police, word would have gotten out to the press and that just would have made matters worse. Look, Steffy, the girl was pregnant with my son's kid. Now, if the tape of a panicked 911 call from me got out, tabloids would have been all over it. And I don't need that, and neither did Liam. That's why I've kept quiet. When the body's found, police are going to come to me, and I will cooperate fully. I'll answer all their questions...
Bill: As the concerned owner of the property, but I was never there. It's cleaner and less complicated for everyone. I made the right decision, Steffy. Now I need you to do the same. You did not see me there. Do you understand? I do not want to be tied to this.
Steffy: You didn't do anything.
Bill: No, Amber fell to her death on her own.
Steffy: Which means Liam's baby did, too.
Steffy: (Sighs) You know, it's... its crazy how life's little problems seem to just work themselves out. I'm sorry, Bill. I'm sorry. I can't cover for you on this. This is serious. You're lying to me.
Bill: What are you talking about?
Steffy: I know what you did. I know why Amber was there, why you were at the house. Amber didn't fall by accident, Bill. You pushed her, and you're going to jail for this.
Bill: I did not push her. I know how this looks, but you are wrong. I didn't touch Amber. It was windy as hell. A branch broke, it fell on her and knocked her over. That's what happened. I did not touch her.
