Thomas: Okay, so these are the last two, right?
Ridge: Ready to go.
Thomas: Great. Well, I'll just tell the pilot to follow the flight plan.
Pam: And your tuxedo is being pressed as we speak.
Ridge: You're going to the ball?
Thomas: Of course. I'm gonna hand-deliver them.
Ridge: Nice touch.
Thomas: Well, I haven't been to San Francisco in a little bit.
Pam: I rescheduled that London call in case you don't get back in time tonight.
Thomas: Pam, I'll be back. It's just a quick business trip. It's not like I'm gonna party or anything. Pam...
Thomas: Could you get these bagged up for me really fast?
Pam: Yeah. Sure.
Thomas: Thank you.
Pam: And I'll, uh, give the pilot a heads-up, too.
Thomas: Appreciate it.
Pam: Come on.
Ridge: You know, there's no reason to rush back... unless there is. A girl?
Thomas: A woman.
Ridge: Mm. Dayzee?
Marcus: Thomas Forrester, the womanizer? I mean, the dude's supposed to be my friend, I'm just sayin'.
Dayzee: Okay, I never said I was interested.
Marcus: Yeah, but he is. It's too bad for him. So am I.
Dayzee: Okay, are you seriously competing over me?
Marcus: Do you really have to ask me that question? You bet I am.
Steffy: Everything goes through me, all right? If you don't know the answers, don't guess. Check with me. Okay, here, let me fix it. Thank you. Great. (Sighs)
Taylor: Let me guess. Something's come up, and you have to get back to work.
Steffy: No, no, no, no. Not at all. It's just a little bit of work. How are you? You look good.
Taylor: Thank you.
Steffy: Nice to see you, Mom.
Taylor: So, uh...
Steffy: Sit, sit.
Taylor: What's happening?
Steffy: I'm flustered. (Laughs) Uh, I have a charity event tonight in San Francisco.
Taylor: Yes. Obviously, you're up and running, and your career is going very well.
Steffy: Mm-hmm. Yeah, never better what?
Taylor: I'm talking about you personally--personal life. You didn't want to talk to your father about it, so I figured you'd rather talk to me.
Steffy: Uh, there's really nothing to say... yet.
Taylor: But there is someone? There is somebody you met in Paris?
Steffy: Oh, well, I met a lot of men in Paris.
Taylor: Oh, I'm sure you did.
Steffy: Okay, but nobody special. No one compared to the guy that I left back in L.A.
Taylor: Liam? Or are you talking about Oliver?
Steffy: Oh. No, no, no, no, no. Those are boys. I'm talking about... (inhales sharply) I don't know--a man, a-a real man... somebody you could probably guess.
Taylor: Not a married man.
Steffy: Bill Spencer-- married? Oh, yeah is, to that shrew Katie Logan. Why I do keep forgetting that? Hmm.
Dayzee: Does this kind of thing impress the girls that you know, being fought over?
Marcus: You don't like it?
Dayzee: It's never happened to me before, and I-I guess, in a weird way, I can see why they find it flattering.
Marcus: I'm not trying to flatter you, Dayzee. I'm trying to show you that I'm interested.
Dayzee: (Sighs) Marcus, I don't need to be swept off of my feet. I like them right where they are, firmly planted on the ground.
Marcus: Now see, that's what makes you so special-- you see, the love for your work. I feel the same way. I mean, International has been a great experience for me.
Dayzee: I'm really glad about that for you. I am.
Marcus: And that's why I want to share it with you. Dayzee, I was serious before. Come to Paris with me. I'll hook you up with a ticket and everything you can stay with me
Dayzee: I have responsibilities.
Marcus: And Stephanie can look after the place for a few days. Come on, Dayzee. Everybody deserves to see Paris at least once in their life. Have that first time be with me.
Ridge: I know you and Dayzee were together at the house.
Thomas: Well, I wouldn't say we're together.
Ridge: Why, because she's still seeing Marcus?
Thomas: He's living in Paris.
Ridge: So they're not seeing each other?
Thomas: Dayzee can see whoever she wants... or nobody. She doesn't need a man in her life to make her feel important. (Sighs) Her life is about more than being somebody's boyfriend. She's making a difference in the world.
Ridge: Your world, too. How does she feel about you?
Thomas: She doesn't even know me.
Ridge: You want to change that.
Thomas: I'd be at her coffeehouse right now if I wasn't going to this charity ball.
Ridge: So take her with you unless you've already invited someone else.
Ridge: Perfect. Take her up there. Fly her in. Surprise her with a Forrester original. It'll be a night she never forgets.
Steffy: Okay, Mom, if you have something to say, say it.
Taylor: It's just that I thought that this whole Bill Spencer thing was a-a thing of the past.
Steffy: Yeah, well, that was a mistake.
Taylor: Sweetheart, pursuing a married man?
Steffy: Well, that's where I went wrong. This time, Bill Spencer's going to pursue me.
Marcus: You want to say yes.
Dayzee: Of course I do. It's Paris. But I told you.
Marcus: What's the point of being your own boss when you can't decide when to take a break?
Dayzee: I can. It's just this is not the time.
Marcus: Are you kidding me? This is the perfect time to be in Paris. It's spring. It's the most romantic time of the year.
Dayzee: (Groans) I am tempted.
Marcus: I can see that. You can take a vacation, babe. That's what people do.
Dayzee: (Sighs) Yeah, people like you, but not people like me...
Marcus: No, they--
Dayzee: And the people I'm trying to help.
Marcus: No, they can manage it without you for a few days. Hey, come on. Even superheroes have to take a break every once in a while.
Dayzee: I am not a superhero.
Marcus: Even more the reason why you should take a break.
Dayzee: Somehow I don't think time with you in Paris would be all that restful.
Marcus: You must be reading my mind.
Dayzee: (Laughs) It would be amazing.
Marcus: I guarantee it.
Dayzee: But we're talking about a weekend, a few days together in Paris.
Marcus: No, unh-unh-unh-unh. Amazing days.
Dayzee: Yeah. And then how many more weeks before you get back to L.A.?
Marcus: You'll be so busy, you'll hardly even notice.
Dayzee: (Sighs) Okay, Marcus, it sounds like a fantasy, but with you there and me here, that's all it can be.
Marcus: (Mouthing words) Well, I guess I'm gonna have to live with that, as long as I'm the only guy that you're fantasizing about.
Ridge: You want Dayzee to know who you are? Why don't you let her see you in action?
Thomas: She knows what I do.
Ridge: But she's never seen you do it in a tux.
Thomas: She's not impressed by that stuff.
Ridge: What stuff?
Thomas: Superficial stuff.
Ridge: (Chuckles) Thomas, there's nothing superficial about a man who knows how to make a woman feel special.
Thomas: That's what I've been trying to do.
Ridge: Then set it up!
Thomas: (Sighs) A charity ball?
Ridge: Make her feel like a princess.
Thomas: I don't think that's her thing.
Ridge: Might surprise you.
Thomas: (Sighs) I've tried. The champagne and caviar was a total bust
Ridge: Well, fish eggs can be a hard sell sometimes.
Thomas: (Scoffs) Dad, Dayzee helps people who don't know where the next meal's coming from. I can't impress her by flaunting how much money I have.
Ridge: Thomas, that's not what I'm suggesting.
Thomas: You just said I should fly her to San Francisco on my family's private jet.
Ridge: Thomas, I'm not asking you to razzle-dazzle her. I'm just saying take her to the ball to show her who you are. Show her what you do. You're Forrester. Fashion's in your blood, and you know what?
Ridge: Seeing a night like that might actually tell her that the fashion world can do a lot of good.
Steffy: You know... (sighs) the more time I spent away from Bill Spencer, the more I realized how extraordinary he is.
Taylor: I'm sure his wife would agree.
Steffy: You know, I don't think she would. Like, Bill Spencer, he's--he's a wild animal. He's fierce. He's unpredictable. And he needs to be with a woman who appreciates that about him, and Katie doesn't. Katie thinks that she tamed him. (Scoffs)
Taylor: What, did Bill express some kind of dissatisfaction with his marriage or Katie?
Steffy: No. He--he just--he--he thinks that he's happy, but...
Taylor: Oh, Steffy, oh, my gosh.
Steffy: Okay, Mom, if their marriage is rock-solid, then nobody's going to interfere, so there's no reason to panic, and there's no reason to tell dad.
Taylor: That's exactly what concerns me. You know exactly how your father's going to feel about this.
Steffy: Which is why we're not going to say anything, Mom. And besides, I-I'm concerned about you. Mm-hmm.
Steffy: Yeah. What, you think I just brought you to lunch to talk about my love life? What's the deal with grandma?
Taylor: She's still getting her cancer treatments. She's progressing along very well.
Steffy: Okay, so when was the last appointment?
Taylor: I don't know exactly.
Steffy: You're her best friend. Don't you go with her to these things?
Taylor: Well, no. Stephanie's--she's been very, very busy. She's had a full schedule.
Steffy: Oh, okay. Would Brooke know? I thought so. What, are they best buddies now?
Taylor: Well, now Brooke's gotten herself involved in Stephanie's fund-raiser for the homeless.
Steffy: Oh, my gosh. Okay, what--let's be honest. Has she lost it? Seriously, first, grandma befriends Brooke, and now she's all wrapped up in this waitress? Mom, it's absurd.
Ridge: Thomas, the way Dayzee has lived her life is humbling.
Ridge: She's been a real inspiration to everybody in this family, but so have you.
Ridge: What you've done with the men's line, the leadership role you've taken in this company...
Thomas: That's business.
Ridge: And business is good. That's why we were approached about this charity ball. That organization is going to raise a lot of money because we loaned them our designs. And you and Dayzee could be right in the middle of that, surrounded by people who would do a lot of good for the causes that Dayzee cares about.
Ridge: Surprise her, my friend. Fly her up there. Give her the address to the airport and tell her to meet you there. And don't forget to stock the jet with plenty of champagne and long-stem roses.
(Cell phone rings)
Ridge: It's the cutting room. Think about it. I know you think that Dayzee is like no other woman you've ever known, but I have never met a woman who didn't want to be swept off her feet.
Thomas: (Sighs) (Sighs)
(Cell phone rings)
Thomas: Hi, it's Thomas.
Dayzee: Oh. Hi.
Thomas: What are you up to?
Dayzee: Um... working.
Thomas: Can you leave for a little bit?
Dayzee: Uh, why?
Thomas: You won't regret it. I promise. I'll send a car.
Dayzee: Oh, well, no. I mean, I've got the food truck. I can take that.
Thomas: No, they might need the food truck. Um... I'll send a taxi. They--they'll know exactly where to go.
Dayzee: Okay. Uh, Thomas, what--what-- what are you doing? What's going on?
Thomas: You're not gonna break my heart, are you?
Dayzee: I wouldn't want to do that.
Thomas: See you soon.
Dayzee: Hey, um, do you guys think you could hold down the fort for me a little bit?
Tony: Sure thing.
Leilani: Where are you going?
Dayzee: (Laughs) You know what? I have no idea
Steffy: Oh, good. He is not here. Okay, Mom, I am a grown woman, so please do not say anything about Bill. Dad and I have a lot to discuss, so I just don't want him to be upset, all right?
Ridge: Well, two of my favorite ladies. How are we today?
Taylor: Oh, fine. How are you doing? Uh, we were just talking.
Steffy: Oh, where are we on the prep for tonight's schedule?
Ridge: We're all finished. I expect Thomas is on his way to the airport now with the gowns.
Steffy: Oh, that's great. He decided to go?
Ridge: And he might not be alone.
Taylor: He took a date?
Steffy: That is great. You know, Summer's already been fitted in our last three designs. This is perfect.
Ridge: Well, it's not Summer. (Sighs) It's Dayzee.
Steffy: (Laughs) Wait. You're--you're joking, right?
Ridge: No, sweetheart, I'm not.
Steffy: No, no, no. I have spent days hyping this event, priming the press. And now Thomas is taking Dayzee as his date? She's gonna be on our jet? You're kidding me right?
Pam: So, um, all the designs are secure in the back.
Thomas: Oh, great. So we're gonna be able to make adjustments when we get there?
Pam: A seamstress will be waiting for you at the airport when you land.
Thomas: Perfect. Okay, and what about the other arrangements
Pam: Should be here any minute.
Thomas: (Laughs) Good. Okay. So as soon as my guest arrives, you can radio the tower.
Thomas: Thank you.
Man: Weather's great. I don't expect any delays.
Thomas: Great. Oh, and make sure it's a smooth ride. I'm not sure if she's ever been on a plane before.
Pam: Well, I guess, um, I'll just get out of your hair.
Thomas: (Chuckles) Oh, Pam?
Thomas: Did I forget something?
Pam: No, Thomas, you didn't forget anything. You're going to have a fabulous trip.
Thomas: (Sighs) I hope so.
Pam: I expect a full report when you get back.
Thomas: Right. Right. (Chuckles)
Pam: Good luck, Thomas.
Thomas: Thank you, Pam.
Steffy: We don't know anything about her. Now she's going on her jet? Oh, no. I gotta stop this.
Ridge: Oh, Steffy, come on.
Steffy: What--what the hell was Thomas thinking? Dayzee?
Taylor: I don't see what the problem is.
Steffy: Look, we know absolutely nothing about this girl. And now she's gonna be in one of our gowns?
Taylor: Dayzee's a lovely young woman.
Ridge: Look, she's a woman of real substance. That's why your brother's attracted to her.
Steffy: God, I thought it was just grandma, but she's gotten to all of you.
Ridge: Look, Dayzee has lived a tough life, but I think if you heard her story...
Steffy: I'd feel... sorry for her?
Taylor: You might be inspired.
Steffy: Inspire do what, buy her another coffee shop? What are you guys smoking? Being homeless isn't inspirational, all right? Look, this isn't the image that we want to present. I understand it's a charity event, but it doesn't mean Thomas should bring his own charity case.
Taylor: There is no reason Thomas should be ashamed to be walking down the red carpet with Dayzee.
Steffy: Well, uh, he should be with some like--like Madison or Summer. Those girls are beautiful, educated girls with careers. Yeah, no, Summer is crazy about him.
Ridge: Thomas likes Dayzee.
Taylor: We--we all do.
Steffy: So write a check to the mission, or why don't you donate some food to her soup kitchen? Don't send her off in the wild blue yonder with your son.
Taylor: I cannot believe you're even talking like this, Steffy
Steffy: Well, I tell it like it is. At least somebody in this family hasn't fallen under her spell. (Sighs)
Dayzee: Thomas? (Laughs)
Thomas: Um... I'm glad you could make it.
Dayzee: What is all of this? Whoa.
Thomas: (Chuckles) Well, my dad thought roses, but I didn't think that sounded like you.
Dayzee: Yeah, I was a little confused when the taxi dropped me off...
Dayzee: And the guard let me through. What--
Thomas: Well, don't get comfortable, because this is just the first stop.
Dayzee: What do you mean?
Thomas: Dayzee, will you go to San Francisco with me?
Dayzee: You mean right now?
Thomas: Yeah, as soon as I tell the pilot we're ready.
Dayzee: And just buckle up and go?
Thomas: That's how it works, yeah.
Dayzee: No waiting in lines, no bags?
Thomas: Yeah, this-- you know, one of the perks when using the company jet.
Dayzee: Oh, my. Wow. That's not really me.
Thomas: No, but it is me. This is a part of my job. It's--it's what I do, and I'd like to do that with you. Dayzee, will you please come to San Francisco with me?
Thomas: I promise I will have you home by midnight. (Sighs) Hey, "Cap," yeah, we're all set. Thanks.
Dayzee: Uh, excuse me. I didn't say yes yet.
Thomas: Oh. I could see you were about to, though.
Dayzee: Oh, I was, was I? (Laughs)
Thomas: Oh, yeah. I'm not gonna let you say no.
