Tawny: Amber, what are you waiting for? You know what has to be done.

Amber: Oh, you just can't wait for me to go to Liam and blow his whole world apart.

Tawny: Y-yeah. I am anxious for him to find out that you are carrying his child. What? Don't give me that look.

(Cats meowing)

Tawny: No, he is the father now. That's just the way it has to be.

Amber: And, Carl, you really believe you can make this happen?

Carl: I do. I explained it to you.

Amber: (Sighs)

Carl: If I didn't believe it, do you think I'd risk my good name?

Amber: Okay, this is... aah, this is all happening way too fast.

Tawny: Honey, this man here, Carl, I mean, he has the personal connections to-- to Bill Spencer and to his personal physician. He can make this work out the way we want it to. But you have go to do your part. Come on now. You have to go and tell Liam that he is expecting a bundle of joy.

Hope: Amber didn't say why she wanted to see you?

Liam: No. She was very insistent.

Hope: Okay, well, what exactly did she say?

Liam: Just that we have something to talk about.

Hope: What does that mean?

Liam: I don't know. I don't know. Who knows? I have no interest in talking to her about anything, so...

Hope: (Sighs) Oh, this worries me.

Liam: Don't-- don't let her get to you.

Hope: Mm, well, I know Amber, and she's trouble.

Liam: (Sighs)

Stephen: So have you come to an understanding?

Donna: Oh, yeah. We understand each other perfectly.

Pam: (Sighs)

Stephen: Well, then, may I bring my fiancée to your wedding?

Donna: (Sighs)

Brooke: Hi, Dad.

Stephen: Katie. Brooke.

Pam: Hi.

Brooke: Pam.

Stephen: So you've, uh, heard the news.

Brooke: Oh, yes. Katie filled me in.

Stephen: Well, then. There's going to be not one, but two weddings in the family.

Brooke: Mm.

Katie: Yeah.

Brooke: We're very pleased about one of them. Justin and Donna are gonna make a perfect pair.

Stephen: Well, now I think that Pamela and I are good together.

Brooke: Uh, Dad, just so you know, I asked Stephanie to come over.

Stephen: Stephanie?

Pam: Now why'd you go and do that, Brooke? It's only gonna cause trouble.

Katie: Well, Pam, don't you want your sister to know what you two are planning?

Stephen: Honey, I think the girls are right. We have nothing to hide. We should just put it all out there on the table.

[Hope remembering]

Amber: Well, I'm not as lucky as you. I've had to fight and claw for every single thing I have gotten in this life, and I'm not gonna stop now. I may have been knocked down, but I will get back up.

Liam: Why so serious?

Hope: (Sighs) I just wonder how much of it is revenge? Or jealousy even.

Liam: Hmm?

Hope: Amber. Um, after we busted her for stealing the Hope for the Future designs, she all but threatened to get back at me.

Liam: (Scoffs) She steals your designs, and she's making threats?

Hope: Uh-huh. But, hey, that's Amber. Do something wrong, and it is everybody else's fault. It's just the way she is, and I can't stand people like that. You know, it--it's like she thinks that the world owes her something. She's probably on her way here to collect.

(Cats meowing)

Tawny: Amber, what are you waiting for? You gotta go tell Liam.

Amber: (Sighs) (Stammers) I'm not sure I want to do this.

Tawny: Oh, Honey, come on. Come on. You have got to stop waffling. You've gotta do this. You've gotta tell Liam the wonderful news-- that you are carrying his baby. Come on. A kid is on its way. (Gasps) It just makes your heart feel good.

Amber: (Sighs)

Brooke: Oh, I'm glad you could make it. They're inside.

Stephanie: Well, you want me to handle this?

Brooke: Yeah, please do.

Stephanie: Hi, everybody.

Katie: Hey.

Stephanie: Hi, Honey. (Sighs) Pam, um, you think we should take a walk on the beach?

Pam: You're not gonna change my mind, Steph. I love this man, and we are getting married. Let's get Chinese.

Amber: Nothing about this feels good. It is so wrong.

Tawny: (Sighs) Honey, I know. I-I get it. You're having a lot of qualms. You're a sweet girl. You don't want to hurt anyone.

Amber: Mother, I don't know if I can live with this. I mean, this is-- it's a lifetime.

Tawny: Honey, the only thing you should be thinking about right now is your child-- is your son or daughter. That's all that matters. And that baby is counting on you to make the right decision for them. Come on. You cannot let your baby down.

Amber: (Sighs)

Liam: Sorry to bring it up, but Amber's gonna be here soon. So...

Hope: Mm, I know.

Liam: I wish I knew what she wanted to talk to me about.

Hope: I-it's strange, you know, that she's been this quiet for so long.

Liam: Yeah, I know, and now she has, like, this big important thing she wants to lay on me.

Hope: You... you--you still don't remember anything about that night?

Liam: No. I mean, I've tried. I've racked my brain. I-I've tried to... (Sighs) Reconstruct, but...

Hope: Still no memory?

Liam: No. I went back to my doctor. He said sometimes short-term memory comes back. Sometimes it doesn't. I mean, I just hate... (Groans) I hate feeling out of control. Like, I don't remember anything that happened.

Hope: Yep, so now it's your word against hers, and we all know what she says happened that night.

Liam: Yeah, but you know what? The more I think about it, the--the more I don't believe it. The state I was in that night-- that I would be aroused? That--that what she says happened happened, and I wouldn't even remember it? I don't--I don't buy that.

Hope: Mm.

Stephanie: I don't think I realized that you were still seeing Stephen.

Pam: What? You--you knew that we were dating each other.

Stephanie: But I thought that was over. I mean, I didn't realize that it had continued.

Pam: Well, we didn't really think it was everyone's business.

Stephanie: Well, I'm not everyone. I'm your sister, and we've never had secrets from each other.

Pam: I just didn't want to bother you, Steph. You've had a lot on your mind, you know, with your illness and all the work you've been doing with the homeless.

Stephen: Yes, that's wonderful what you've been doing.

Donna: Uh, I-I think that we were talking about my wedding. Who's gonna be on the guest list tomorrow? (Chuckles)

Brooke: I think at the very least, you two should slow this down.

Stephen: But we don't want to slow it down.

Stephanie: Well, what's the big rush? Are you afraid that, uh, you know, she'll change her mind if she stops and thinks it through?

Pam: I have done all the thinking that I need to do, Steph.

Stephanie: Really?

Pam: Mm-hmm.

Stephanie: What about the old... have you thought about that?

Katie: All right. All right. Why don't we just stay on topic? And the topic is Donna. She's planning a very special day in her life, and I think it's obvious that she wouldn't want Pam there, given what this woman has put her through.

Stephen: Now wait a minute. We have all made mistakes. Everyone. Pamela and I have made more than our share, and we regret every one of them. Maybe that's why we appreciate each other so much. Girls, I will always love your mother. I don't think I have to tell you that. But your mother is gone, and so is your brother. And I honestly didn't think that I would ever recover from the loss of my wife. But thanks to Pamela, I've learned that my life doesn't have to be over. And with everything that she's been through, maybe--maybe it's just destined that we would be good for each other. And we are. We are good for each other. I love this woman. And she loves me. Can any of you not appreciate that?

Brooke: We love you. We know that you've suffered a lot, but this just doesn't feel right. We're concerned.

Stephanie: Yeah, I mean, why, Stephen, would you think that... you know, we'd accept this? (Sighs) Come on. You don't like anybody in my family. And my family isn't particularly crazy about all of yours, so other than Ridge and Brooke's marriage, I just think another marriage between the families isn't going to work.

Stephen: And I would have said the same thing. In fact, I did for years. But love has a way of conquering hate, Stephanie. I mean, look-- look at your relationship now with Brooke. Who would even have thought that that was likely? Stephanie, the truth is your sister makes me happy. And I seem to do the same for her.

Pam: (Sighs)

Stephen: And we have found companionship and love at a time in our life when we had neither. So this is going to be good for all of us. Now we both know how much our families love us. And that love has taught us something. It taught us that the differences between the Forresters and the Logans are far outweighed by their similarities. Stephanie, your loyalty and your dedication to your family is... (Chuckles) It's legendary. And I think you know I feel the same way about my family. What I'm trying to say is is it possible that it's time to put aside all those differences? It's only caused us nothing but misery. Think of what we could all accomplish if we just focused on-- on... good, if we just let there be a little peace and love, like the love I have for your sister.

Pam: Steph, I know that you've always been worried about me, and probably for good reason. But you don't have to worry anymore. I found my soul mate. He knows me better than I know myself. And I love him. And for the first time in my life, I feel loved. Please, tell me that you can accept that.

Stephanie: Donna, do you have anything to say about this?

Donna: I just want you to be happy, Dad. I mean, that's all I've ever wanted, and I... you are. I-I can see that you are. (Sighs)

Stephanie: Katie?

Katie: (Sighs) I-I-I guess I have to agree with Donna. I... I just want what's best for you, and you seem to think that this is, so...

Brooke: I think... (Sighs) You and I need to talk alone.

Liam: All right. That's it. We are outta here.

Hope: Wait. What about Amber?

Liam: I'm-- I'm tired of waiting. And I told her I didn't want to talk to her. So maybe she, you know, thought better of it and decided not to show.

Hope: Well, that's wishful thinking.

Liam: Whatever she has to say, not gonna be that important. She can darken our door some other day. Come on. (Sighs) When you've been together as long as we have --

Stephanie: I take it you still have issues with, uh, your father and Pam getting married.

Brooke: You don't?

Stephanie: Well, I don't know what to think anymore. (Chuckles) I mean, if you tried to convince me that it was a terrible idea, it wouldn't be a hard sell.

Brooke: That's not why I wanted to speak with you alone.

Stephanie: Oh, what do you want to talk to me about?

Brooke: It was pretty significant what went on here in this room.

Stephanie: What almost happened here in this room. You were right when you said everybody should take a step back.

Brooke: Or a step forward.

Stephanie: So now you approve?

Brooke: Well, you saw Pam and my dad. I mean, there's no doubt that they have feelings for each other.

Stephanie: (Scoffs) Oh, this would be a disaster. You've got to know that.

Brooke: You know, a few weeks ago, I would have thought the same thing. I never wanted my father to marry that lunatic.

Stephanie: Excuse me. That's my sister.

Brooke: Sorry. It just slipped out.

Stephanie: Your father's the lunatic.

Brooke: (Sighs) They've just taken our cue. That's all.

Stephanie: Oh? And what cue would that be?

Brooke: Two people who despise each other, and in a few short months, they've reinvented their relationship.

Stephanie: Oh, that's frightening.

Brooke: (Laughs) Yeah. That's terrifying.

Stephanie: So what do you want to do?

Brooke: Well, you and I could band together, and we could put a stop to those two.

Stephanie: Well, that would be ironic, wouldn't it?

Brooke: Or... (Sighs) We could take advantage of the situation and put an end to the hostilities between our families once and for all.

Stephanie: (Sighs) If they turn out to be the dysfunctional couple that I think the are going to be, then we'll be at war all over again.

Brooke: No, no, we won't. I mean, look at everything you and I have been through recently. We're not gonna go back there.

Stephanie: Well, don't count your chickens. You and I, like my cancer, aren't out of the woods yet.

Brooke: (Laughs) That's a nice analogy.

Stephanie: Who'd have thought? (Sighs)

Brooke: They're waiting for a signal. So I think if... you and I solidly support it, Dad and Pam, I-I really do believe it would change the dynamics of our families. And isn't that what we want?

Stephanie: Love conquers all?

Brooke: Well, yeah. (Laughs) Yes, it worked for you and for me, and I do love you, Stephanie.

Stephanie: Oh, stop that.

Brooke: And you love me, too.

Stephanie: Oh...

Brooke: You know it. Just think about it, what you and I could do together. This is our time. We can end the battling and the feuding, and think about what it would mean for our children, for your grandchildren, and everything that we could actually accomplish together. Forgiveness, Stephanie. A wise woman told me about forgiveness this Christmas. Forgiving is living. Yes. So let's do it. You and me. Let's end this feud between our families. Come on.

Amber: You were leaving?

Hope: Well, did you think we were gonna wait around all day?

Liam: (Sighs) Come on in, Amber. So what is it? What'd you need to see me about?

Amber: I told you it was important.

Liam: Yeah. Took you long enough getting here.

Amber: Yeah, I was just trying to get my head on straight.

Hope: Maybe you should have done that the night of Liam's party.

Amber: Yeah, maybe I should have.

Hope: Instead, you followed him home and tried to seduce him. You know what? It--it wasn't even a seduction, really. You just broke into his apartment and crawled into bed with him.

Amber: He didn't send me away.

Liam: How could I? I was completely out of it.

Hope: Yeah, which you should have realized, but obviously, that didn't stop you.

Liam: Hey, can we, uh, can we get to the point? Say what you came here to say.

Amber: (Sighs) Maybe I should just talk to Liam alone.

Hope: Oh, you'd love that, wouldn't you? No, Amber. I'm not going anywhere. I am Liam's girlfriend, and whatever you have to say to him, you can say to me.

Amber: Okay, fine. I'm pregnant, Liam, with your baby. Congratulations. You're gonna be a daddy.
