Brooke: Well... (Sighs) That's very nice of you to say, that you love me.
Thomas: (Scoffs) I mean it, Brooke. You've been there for me since I was a little boy, when my mom was missing, presumed dead. You've become a mother to us. And just like when I was younger, here you are. You're here for me now. And I know I probably never said it before, but I-I-I appreciate everything you've done for me. When I--when I think about how my heart was pounding out o my chest on the jet-- just the anticipation of what was gonna happen in Paris. (Scoffs) And all of it's happening. All because of you, your incredible ability to charm the world.
Thomas: Brooke, I'm--I'm new at this, the fame, the recognition, flying to Paris for one day for international meetings. (Scoffs) But you've made it easy. Thanks to you, people recognize me. Th--they know me all over the world. People on the street, they know who I am. I feel like a rock star. Y-you've--you've done this for me, Brooke.
Brooke: (Sighs) Thank you. That makes me feel very, very special.
Thomas: (Chuckles) Brooke...
Brooke: (Clears throat)
Thomas: You are very special. You know what? I see you like fine wine-- aged to perfection...
Thomas: Even more beautiful and more humble. I mean, you becoming friends with my grandma-- that--Brooke, that's awesome.
Brooke: Yes... (Chuckles) Life is interesting. It takes you to amazing places.
Thomas: Just being able to share this with you, it's... (Sighs) It's a privilege. I respect you so much. (Sighs) I will always care for you, Brooke.
Brooke: This has been a trip of a lifetime for you, hasn't it?
Thomas: (Sighs) One I'll never, ever forget. Cheers.
Ridge: Hey, Mother.
Stephanie: Hi, Sweetheart.
Ridge: What are you doing here?
Stephanie: Oh, I thought I better come in here and make sure you hadn't run the company into the ground while I--by my not being here.
Ridge: Well, it's good to see you, too. Don't come around much anymore.
Stephanie: I'm pretty damn busy down at Dayzee's. You know. She and I are, um, I guess you could say burning the candle at both ends.
Ridge: It's all been worth it, right?
Stephanie: Oh, it's great. It's wonderful to see some new creation sort of emerge. You know, one that's got a real purpose. I think I would say that opening that coffee shop's one of the nicest experiences of my life.
Ridge: Well, you should be very proud of yourself. Doing very meaningful work. But I guess I have no choice but to forgive you for, uh, slacking off around the company.
Stephanie: Oh, I think you've managed very well without me.
Ridge: We're just glad you're happy and doing so well. But I have to say it, I'm happy to have you on board.
Stephanie: On board?
Ridge: Yeah. This mission, the--the things that have changed since you, uh, had that adventure downtown, being with all the new friends, sharing the holidays with these new friends you've introduced to all of us. It's great. But I'm mostly happy with your relationship with Brooke. Mother, your acceptance of Brooke means a hell of a lot to me.
Stephanie: Well, I never thought I'd say this, but... (Chuckles) She's got a good heart.
Ridge: Well, I've been trying to tell you that for years.
Stephanie: I guess I had to find it out for myself. It only took me half a lifetime.
Ridge: Well, that's something I've wanted for a very, very long time.
Stephanie: I know. And I'm very happy that you and I are not fighting over her anymore. Boy, what a waste of time that was. You know what drove me crazy? I always thought... I always thought it was just her... sort of sexuality that attracted men, not that she doesn't still have an overabundance of it. But you know, there's something else. There's a goodness about her that makes her very attractive as a person.
Ridge: That's something I've known all my life. Brooke is a very special woman. And you know what? It doesn't surprise me at all that, uh, just about anyone could be drawn to her.
Thomas: I never thought I'd be feeling how I'm feeling right now. Being here with you in Paris, e-everything that's-- that's happening with the--the Taboo line, international success, it's all because of you.
Brooke: You've earned this, Thomas. They're your designs, and they're extraordinary.
Thomas: It started off as my concept, but then you came along and added your special touch. Now it's our line. We're a team.
Brooke: We make a pretty good team.
Thomas: (Chuckles) You know, I had a vision of what my men's line would--would be, but... but then you-- you--you were there, and changed the whole game. And being around you, soaking up all your knowledge, your expertise...
Brooke: You should be very proud of yourself.
Thomas: I'm proud of us. I'm proud of... everything we've accomplished together. I mean, so what if we had a little help with publicity?
Brooke: (Laughs) A little? A lot.
Brooke: A lot of publicity, but publicity's good, right? The Taboo line has proven that.
Thomas: Yep. Who'd have thought that my crazy idea to kiss you at the end of the runway of my fashion preview would strike such a chord?
Brooke: (Mouthing words)
Thomas: And then that-- that photo of us in the dressing room came out.
Brooke: Everybody went wild.
Brooke: And then we became a huge international hit.
Thomas: I-I... (Scoffs) Having this time with you, Brooke, it's been tremendous. It makes me appreciate you just that much more.
Brooke: I have loved every single minute of working with you.
Brooke: And I look forward to seeing what the future brings.
Thomas: Me, too.
Brooke: But we're not gonna have more success if we don't get any sleep, so...
Thomas: (Chuckles) Right. Right.
Brooke: (Chuckles) Sweet dreams.
Thomas: Good night.
Stephanie: Sweetheart, I... I just want to take a moment and talk to you about Taylor. She's really concerned about Brooke and Tom in Paris.
Ridge: I know she's not happy with the two of them being over there alone together. She even wanted me to tell the pilot to turn the jet around and come back here. I think she's gotten too worked up over all this.
Stephanie: Well, I'm feeling a little guilty because I just-- I just haven't spent as much time with her as I usually do.
Ridge: Mother, you've been busy, too.
Stephanie: Yeah, I know, but it's more than that. It's... (Sighs) She's resentful of the relationship that I've established with Brooke. I--and I've tried to reassure her. I tell her over and over again, "I love you, Taylor. You are my best friend in the world."
Ridge: She knows that. Maybe she's feeling just a bit of distance.
Stephanie: She's not about to accept Brooke any time soon, believe me. She--and she actually said, "Donít let your guard down with her."
Ridge: Yeah, well, I'm a little concerned about Whip. He has a big influence over Taylor, and I don't trust the guy. I still think that he's the one responsible for those pictures of Brooke and Thomas and he's the one that's plastered them all over the damn internet.
Stephanie: Maybe you're right. Maybe she is feeling a bit distant, and she thinks whip's the only person in her corner. But you know, he does love her.
Ridge: Yeah, but he keeps fanning the flames. He's--he's perpetuating Taylor's paranoia about all this. I know it's her mother's prerogative to be worried and all that, but I think she's just taking it too far.
Stephanie: Yeah. She just doesn't-- you know, she can't seem to--to really grasp the idea that Tom is a grown young man. He's got a good head on his shoulders. He's no dummy. I mean, as charming and as delightful, you know, as Brooke can be, he's not... (Sighs) He's not gonna place himself in some situation that's untoward.
Brooke: I would just like to say that this man is as creative and as talented as anybody I know. And yes, he is irresistible...
Brooke: Just like the fashion line that he represents. So keep on watching, because you never know where Taboo will take you.
(E-mail alert chimes)
Thomas: New Taboo promotional song. Hmm.
Stephanie: There are a lot of people out there.
Dayzee: I know. Business is booming.
Stephanie: (Chuckles) That's what I like to hear. And so does my accountants.
Dayzee: I bet. And actually, this "Pay what you can" policy is working out really well. I mean, people from the neighborhood are glad to come in and patronize the business, 'cause you know, the whole giving back, they really like that. Everybody else is just really glad to have a place to relax and a cup of coffee. So, yeah.
Stephanie: Well, that's the idea.
Dayzee: Yep. Oh, and your sister, she's been so great. Literally, ten dozen lemon bars a day.
Stephanie: (Chuckles) Oh, my God.
Stephanie: That woman lives to bake.
Dayzee: I can tell. We're actually having trouble selling them all.
Stephanie: Oh, well, then give them away. I mean, don't--don't let anything go to waste.
Dayzee: Okay. Will do.
Stephanie: How's everyone else working out?
Dayzee: Oh, really well. Some of them have actually already found places to live.
Stephanie: Oh, wonderful.
Dayzee: I know.
Stephanie: What about Anthony?
Dayzee: Good. Good. He found a really nice building with a-an elevator. So, yeah.
Stephanie: That's great. This place is really humming, and that's due to you.
Dayzee: Oh, no. I mean, obvious--
Stephanie: It's all your hard work. Thank you very much.
Dayzee: You're welcome. But I--it's clearly working out better than we could have ever dreamed, and people's lives are being changed. So it's really 'cause of you.
Stephanie: Oh, get out of here.
Stephanie: Hi, Honey. What a nice surprise.
Eric: I thought I would find you here.
(Video chat alert chimes)
Brooke: Hi, Honey. (Chuckles)
Ridge: Hey, Logan. Glad you're still up.
Brooke: Yeah, I was just getting ready for bed.
Ridge: I miss you.
Brooke: I miss you, too. I have this huge, beautiful hotel room and nobody to share it with.
Ridge: Well, I wish I was there. You're looking pretty cute in your PJs and your new haircut.
Brooke: Mm. Thank you. (Giggles)
Ridge: How's everything going?
Brooke: Ohh, everything's great. I mean, today couldn't have been better.
Ridge: Good. And Thomas, how's he doing?
Brooke: He is on cloud nine. I think he's in love.
Ridge: I'll bet. Well, he wanted to be at the center of the international spotlight, and now he is. He's gotta be loving it. Is he still up?
Brooke: No, he went to bed. He's in the next room. But this whole trip is working out perfectly. You would be so proud of him. Thomas has been so professional and such a gentleman.
Ridge: Good. Sounds like you and Thomas had quite a day.
Brooke: Oh, yeah... (Sighs) Jetting all the way from L.A. to Paris and doing an international publicity event and press conference. (Laughs)
Ridge: I know. I watched in online. You both handled yourselves beautifully.
Brooke: Thank you. We've been having a fabulous time. And Thomas is so grateful.
Ridge: For what? You two are the brains behind Taboo.
Brooke: Yeah, but he's just happy to be in the spotlight, center stage.
Ridge: Well, I felt I owed him that. I'm glad he's enjoying it.
Brooke: Yes, he is. Oh, you'll never believe what he said to me tonight.
Ridge: So should I be worried whatever my son said to you?
Brooke: No. Nothing like that. But it is something in all these years that we never really talked about.
Ridge: What's that?
Brooke: When I stepped in to be a mother to the kids when we thought Taylor had died.
Ridge: Thomas talked to you about that?
Brooke: Yeah, about how I was there for him when he was really young and going through some hard times, and how I'm there for him again, now.
Ridge: Well, I didn't realize he even thought about that still. I guess I should have.
Brooke: Yeah, I know. Me either. But your son, Ridge, he is such a sweet, sensitive person. And he is so much like you. We really have shared a very magical time here in Paris together. And I know that Thomas has gone through some rough times. But it really seems like he's come through them he seems in a good place now. He truly is an exemplary person.
Ridge: Well, I'm glad he talked to you about it.
Brooke: I was very moved.
Ridge: I am one very proud father.
Brooke: You know what? Morning's gonna roll around any moment.
Ridge: Well, you better get some sleep then.
Brooke: Okay. I will.
Ridge: I can't wait to see you tomorrow, Logan. I love you.
Brooke: I love you, too. Good night.
Brooke: Oh. Oh, Thomas, I didn't realize--
Thomas: I'm sorry. Uh, I didn't mean to scare you. You and Dad were talking, so I didn't want to interrupt.
Brooke: Oh, no. No, that's okay. Uh, how long were you standing there?
Thomas: I heard what you said.
Brooke: I meant it.
Thomas: I just got the new Taboo promo song from Oliver. Thought I'd play it for ya.
Brooke: Yeah, I'd love to hear it.
Eric: Did you know--
Dayzee: So, Mister Man, did you come here to help us wash some dishes?
Eric: I will wash dishes. I'll mop the floor...
Eric: As long as I can spend time with her. She doesn't come by Forrester very often anymore.
Dayzee: I see. I see. We did, um, kind of steal her away, didn't we?
Eric: Yes, you did. But it's okay, as long as I get to steal her back once in a while.
Stephanie: Well, wait-- I was at Forrester a little while ago. I saw Ridge. I saw Thorne. I saw everyone. I didn't see you. Where were you?
Eric: My lunch meeting went long. See what I have to put up with?
Eric: I heard what Dayzee was saying, and I agree. You were right to do this. Now you have to admit that I was right about something, too.
Stephanie: Uh-oh. What's that?
Eric: Brooke Logan is no longer the bane of our family's existence.
Stephanie: That remains to be seen.
Man: Was it just a passing glance? That lingered for too long? Or was it just a gentle touch that turned from right to wrong? I know now so well I'm under your spell
