Whip: Thank you again for understanding and forgiving me.

Taylor: I just don't like it that you had to go to such extreme measures.

Whip: I know. It was stupid.

Taylor: No, you were right about the one thing-- that--that Ridge has proved out that he isn't going to do a thing. He isn't gonna lift a finger to help our son.

Whip: Yeah. Thomas and Brooke...

Taylor: (Sighs)

Whip: You really think that he's falling for her?

Taylor: (Scoffs) I hope not. It's just that-- see, I-I know that all of our behavior is emotionally tied to childhood experiences and--and our upbringing.

Whip: Right. Right. Right. Very--Oedipal complex.

Taylor: And when Thomas was a child, yes, I-I was gone. I was suddenly taken away from him, and then guess who stepped in?

Whip: That's right. Right. That's when Brooke came in, and she became his mother.

Taylor: And I wasn't there for him when he really... he really needed me. He really needed his mother, and Brooke was there for him. And it's just that, you know, all of these feelings that he is probably starting to develop are--are really related to his past.

Whip: It's Oedipal complex.

Taylor: Thomas is a classic candidate.

Thomas: Mm. You want some more champagne?

Brooke: Mm... maybe just some water. We have a big day ahead of us. Don't want to get carried away.

Thomas: Right. (Chuckles)

Brooke: What?

Thomas: Nothing. (Chuckles) Once a mom, always a mom.

Brooke: Mm-hmm. It is kind of funny, actually. We're on a jet going to most-- the most magic city in the world and... (Chuckles) You're stuck with your stepmom. Sorry about that. Oh, go ahead. Have another glass. You deserve it.

Thomas: (Chuckles) You know, when I suggested the men's line, I... (Sighs) I knew it would be successful, but I just... I never expected this-- flying to Paris. (Chuckles) And, by the way, there's nobody else I'd rather have on this plane with me. All this is happening because of you.

Aggie: I'm supposed to text you after the ceremony?

Nick: No, I want you to let me know when they've left the house. I don't want to be there for any of this garter and flower throwing.

Owen: Sorry to interrupt. I, uh, just wanted to stop by and let you know that everything's all set up at your house. And, uh, thank you again for letting us have the ceremony at your house. I appreciate it.

Nick: Mm-hmm.

Owen: Your mom really hopes you're gonna be there. All right, well, have a good evening.

Nick: Don't even think of saying it.

Aggie: Just think how happy she would be.

Nick: Aggie--

Aggie: Nick, you have to be there. You know how much it means to her.

Nick: Aggie--

Aggie: Listen, you love your mother too much to let her down.

Nick: "Naggy."

Aggie: (Chuckles) Really?

Nick: Yeah, I kinda like that, Naggy.

Aggie: (Chuckles) I do have a little brother. It's not the first time I've heard it.

Nick: Well, if you stay on my back like this, it won't be the last time. (Sighs)

Whip: Didn't Oedipus kill his father? I just don't see Thomas doing that.

Taylor: That was only in the story.

Whip: Oh.

Taylor: No, but see, when-- when a--when a boy wishes to replace his father, it is because he wants to possess his mother figure.

Whip: Mm-hmm. Okay. So the men's line.

Taylor: Yes. And see? That's exactly my point. Why did Thomas want to-- want to do this? He's the one who proposed it. He's doing everything he can to become just like Ridge. See, now he's a designer, and he has his own line, and he wanted to work side by side with Brooke Logan, his father's muse.

Whip: Mm-hmm. Replacing his father.

Taylor: Thereby possessing the mother figure. See? See why I'm concerned? This is a very real thing. I-I don't think I'm making that up.

Whip: No, no, no.

Taylor: I'm not inventing this, I'm not.

Whip: No.

Taylor: What I'm really afraid of is how far Brooke will let it go.

Brooke: That's very kind of you to say.

Thomas: Well, I mean it.

Brooke: But this line is all about you-- your hard work and your tremendous talent. I've just--

Thomas: Supported me every step of the way. I just... I hope you know how much I appreciate you.

Brooke: What can I say? It was a good idea.

Thomas: Yeah, but it is more than the clothing line. It's--its how you've treated me my whole life. You've--you've encouraged me to do my best no matter what. (Sighs) Brooke, you have this way of making people better than they are, a-at least, you always have with me.

Brooke: It's kind of strange to think about when your mom was gone, and I had to step in and help raise the three of you.

Thomas: Yeah. It must have been daunting.

Brooke: No. (Scoffs) Oh, my gosh, no. Not at all. I-I loved it. I loved helping out with all of you kids, especially you, Thomas. I used to watch you when you were sleeping at night and think about you growing up into a strong, talented, amazing man, just like your father. And here you are... (Chuckles) Just like I had imagined. I'm so proud of you.

(Basketball game plays on TV)

Nick: Yeah, put anchovies on that, too, okay? Right. What do you think? Maybe-- hang on one second. (Makes whooshing noise) 30 minutes? Okay, great. Thank you. Okay, we're good here. We got a pizza. We have cigars.

(Cheers and applause)

Nick: I have the game. And Mother can have her little fantasy ceremony with her six-pack Cowabunga boy. I am just fine where I am. Bingo.

[Nick remembering]

Jackie: I want you to be there, Nicky, please. Come and support my marriage to Owen.

Nick: I'm sorry, Mother. I can't.

Owen: Just a step.

Jackie: Tell me when, all right? (Squeals)

Owen: Don't look.

Jackie: I'm not. I promise.

Owen: Stand here. Stop. Stop.

Jackie: Now? Now?

Owen: No. Okay.

Jackie: Now? Now?

Owen: Now you can look.

Jackie: Okay, good.

Owen: Voilá. Look at the stairs.

Jackie: Oh. Oh, Owen, this is just... beautiful. Oh, it's beautiful. Oh, I just cannot believe you threw all this together.

Owen: Well, your dress is upstairs. The pastor's gonna be here any minute. Aggie's gonna be here, too. All you gotta do is get changed, walk down those stairs and meet me at the altar.

Jackie: So much pageantry just for us.

Owen: Yeah, I mean, I kind of assumed that you wanted to keep this a private event. I mean, was I wrong? Should I have invited people?

Jackie: No, no, goodness, no. No, I'm just surprised, that's all, that you'd want to do this with Bridget and Logan being out of town.

Owen: That was the point. I planned it exactly for that.

Jackie: You did?

Owen: Look, I want this ceremony to be about you and me, about us. Yes, Logan and Bridget are family, but this is our moment, and you're the only one that I am committing myself to.

Taylor: Really, it's-- it's no wonder Thomas has never had any kind of lasting relationship.

Whip: But he's had girlfriends.

Taylor: Oh, he's had some, but nothing, you know... no relationship of any substance or anything. But now I see him wanting to spend all this important time with Brooke, and--and it's almost like he's waiting for a chance, for something to happen.

Whip: Seriously? I mean, you think that Brooke would cross that line?

Taylor: You're the one who said she doesn't have any boundaries.

Whip: No, absolutely, yes. But at a certain point, even Brooke has got some.

Taylor: No, she--she doesn't. She doesn't know when to stop. She thinks that all Forrester men are fair game. And my son Thomas is the next one in line!

Brooke: This is quite the itinerary. Steffy really is detail oriented. I'll give her that.

Thomas: Yeah. You know Steffy won't be there, right?

Brooke: Yeah. It's too bad she's got all those meetings in Milan.

Thomas: I'm glad she won't be there. Things will be calmer. Plus, I'll get you all to myself.

Brooke: How sweet. (Chuckles)

Thomas: That's the smile.

Brooke: Uh, what smile?

Thomas: Yours. "The smile that brings success."

Brooke: (Laughs)

Thomas: (Chuckles)

Brooke: Oh, come on.

Thomas: Well, it's true. I mean, when you smile like that, I-I can totally see why you're-- you're such a force. I-it's genuine and charming. When people see you smile, they can see your spirit. I like it.

Owen: There's a part of me that thought Nick might be with you.

Aggie: Owen, I'm sorry. I tried.

Owen: Yeah.

(Cell phone rings)

Owen: Ooh, one second. I think that might be the pastor. Father Parshall. You almost here?

Fr. Parshall: Hey. Slight problem.

Owen: Wait, what do you mean?

Fr. Parshall: I took a fall, Owen. (Sighs) Twisted my ankle real bad. I can't drive anywhere tonight, let alone walk on this thing.

Owen: Okay, well, we're all set up, and we're ready to go. What am I supposed to tell my wife?

Fr. Parshall: Sorry. I'll make some calls, see if I can get someone else to head over there tonight. Pastor over at St. Timothy's owes me a favor. Anyway, I'll-- I'll call you back.

Owen: (Scoffs) Man!

Aggie: What's going on?

Owen: The pastor can't make it.

Aggie: Are you kidding? What are you gonna do?

Owen: I don't know. I-I... I guess I just better get on the internet and make some phone calls or something. Gosh! Dang it.

(Basketball game plays on TV)

(Cell phone rings)

Nick: Yeah?

Aggie: Nick.

Nick: Hello, "Nag-us Jones."

Aggie: Okay, that's a new one.

Nick: I've been thinkin' about that for a while.

Aggie: What are you doing? I mean, you've gotta get over here.

Nick: No, no. I'm very happy doing exactly what I want to be doing.

Aggie: Watching the game?

Nick: Absolutely. Great game.

(TV volume increases)

Aggie: Nick, listen to me. Put down the remote control. You need to turn off the game. Is that really more important than your mother?

Nick: (Sighs)

Jackie: I am so glad that you came, Aggie. It means a lot to me that you'd be here today to witness this. (Scoffs) I just wish Nicky could have swallowed his pride and been here, too.

Aggie: You know how he is. He's just so stubborn.

Jackie: Oh, yes.

Aggie: Once he makes up his mind, it's impossible to get him to change it.

Jackie: (Sighs) You know what? I'm not gonna let this get to me, because he's the one that chooses not to be here. And I do understand why. I really do. And it breaks my heart that he is still hurting so much. He could have seen today as an opportunity, couldn't he? I mean, to have been here, to have supported Owen and me, that could have been a way to help him heal and to move forward... to much better things.

Aggie: Listen, don't worry too much about Nick. Today--this is your special day for you and your husband, and I know Owen didn't go out of his way to make this day so beautiful for you to be upset.

Jackie: You're right. I am not going to let Nicky ruin this. Owen is my husband. He's the man I love. And I'm committing myself to him again today, and I'm gonna do that whether Nick's here or not.

Aggie: Good for you.

Jackie: (Chuckles)

Aggie: Okay, I'm gonna go downstairs, see if Owen needs anything at all.

Jackie: Okay.

Aggie: See you.

Jackie: (Sighs)

Owen: Out of town until next week? All right. All right. Listen. Thank you anyways. Um, look, take care of the ankle. All right. Dang it.

Aggie: What? What? No luck?

Owen: I-I cannot believe we have to cancel.

Aggie: No, no, no, Owen. Don't you dare. Do not cancel.

Owen: No, but we don't have anybody to--

Aggie: Listen to me, okay? When the time is right, when it's the right time, I want you to come out here, put on that music, and you wait for your beautiful bride to walk down those stairs. That's all you have to do. I will take care of the rest, okay?

Brooke: (Yawns) Sorry about that.

Thomas: Are you tired?

Brooke: Yeah. Yeah.

Thomas: You should probably get some sleep.

Brooke: Mm, not yet. I just want to make sure that I'm ready for the press.

Thomas: Come on, Brooke. You're not the one who has to worry about the questions they'll be asking. Go on. Go get some sleep. It might be the only chance you'll have for a while.

Brooke: Okay. (Sighs) Maybe you're right.

Thomas: Yes.

Brooke: Good night, Thomas.

Thomas: Good night, Brooke.

Aggie: Owen, start the music.

Owen: There's nobody here.

Aggie: Start the music.

Owen: But we--

Aggie: Come on. Do it.

(Classical music playing)

Owen: Wait, Nick. What--what are you doing here?

Nick: Well, I'm a sea captain. I heard you lost your minister.

Owen: (Laughs) Gnarly!

Nick: Please. Don't ruin this already. Save the eloquent dialogue for your vows.

Jackie: Thank you.

Jackie: Thank you.

Taylor: Well, I'm so glad you-- you believe me and you agree with me.

Whip: Of course I do.

Taylor: You know, Stephanie and Brooke and--and Ridge, they--they all tell me that I'm wrong.

Whip: Honey, what do they know?

Taylor: Well, what-- what if I am? What if my instincts are--are not right, they're not on?

Whip: (Sighs) Taylor, look. You have history so--to support it. You're--you have evidence in front of you, okay? You--you have the instincts of a gifted psychiatrist. Your instincts are not wrong.

Taylor: But you would tell me if you thought I was.

Whip: (Chuckles)

Taylor: You would tell me that, wouldn't you?

Whip: Yes, okay. Okay.

Taylor: Okay.

Whip: (Sighs) Look, even with everything that you know, there may still be a chance that nothing could happen between Thomas and Brooke.

Thomas: (Sighs) (Whispering) I'm sorry.

Brooke: (Quietly) Are we there?

Thomas: No, no. Not yet.

Thomas: (Normal voice) Brooke? (Sighs)

Thomas: (Sighs)
