Whip: You okay?

Taylor: Mm-hmm. Yeah, I'm fine. Isn't that really odd, though? Look at those two.

Whip: Oh, you mean Brooke and Stephanie?

Taylor: Yeah.

Whip: Well, isn't that kind of a Christian tradition? They make nice now, and then they're at each other's throats by New Year’s.

Taylor: No, this is different. This is different. They're closer. They really are. It's like this whole experience has bonded them in some way.

Whip: Well, isn't that a good thing?

Taylor: Yeah, of course.

Whip: It's not a good thing. (Chuckles)

Taylor: It's just that I don't know where this leaves me. I-I'm the one who's always been close to Stephanie, and now I feel like I'm being marginalized.

Whip: Oh.

Taylor: It's like I'm the one who's a troublemaker, and Brooke... okay, you know what? It's Christmas.

Whip: Mm-hmm.

Taylor: And we're here celebrating, and I'm not going to spend the time talking and complaining about Brooke.

Whip: Okay.

Taylor: Why don't you show me that mistletoe again?

Whip: You read my mind.

Eric: Oh, come here.

Hope: Oh! (Laughs)

Eric: Come on.

Together: In a one-horse open sleigh.

Hope: Come up here. Come up here.

All: O'er the fields we go laughing all the way ha ha ha bells on bobtails ring making spirits bright what fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight oh, jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the way.

Pam: Ho, ho!

All: Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-hoe open sleigh, hey! Jingle bells, jingle bells jingle all the way oh, what fun.

Hope: (Laughs)

All: It is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh hey!

Eric: Jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the way it's the only song I know. All oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh hey! Jingle bells, jingle bells.

Eric: The "Hey" was good.

Hope: That was good. I liked it.

All: Jingle all the way.

Pam: Ho, ho.

All: Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh hey! (Cheering)

Leilani: Thank you.

Hope: Thank you.

Felicia: (Laughs) Let me get you a refill of Dad's great eggnog.

Stephanie: Oh, no, not the eggnog. Anything but the eggnog, please.

Dayzee: Stephanie.

Stephanie: Hi, Honey.

Dayzee: I got something for you.  (Laughs)

Stephanie: Did you steal it?

Dayzee: No. Open it.

Stephanie: Well, I will open it. I'm sure it'll take a little while. It looks like you wrapped it really tight.

Dayzee: Yeah, I did it army style.

Stephanie: So, um, if you didn't steal it...

Dayzee: No.

Stephanie: Where did you-- oh, for gosh sakes.

Dayzee: Yeah, Leilani showed me how to do it. She's really good at that stuff. She showed me how to mat it and mod podge it and all of that.

Stephanie: These are your favorite quotes.

Dayzee: You remembered.

Stephanie: How could I forget our time together?

Dayzee: (Laughs)

Stephanie: "Tough times don't last, tough people do."

Dayzee: Mm-hmm.

Stephanie: Oh. "If you can't feed 100 people, then feed just one." I like that. That's Mother Teresa.

Dayzee: Yeah.

Stephanie: Oh, and one more?

Dayzee: Mm-hmm.

Stephanie: Oh, wow. "After the verb 'To love, 'To help' is the most beautiful verb in the world."

Dayzee: Yeah, these are great quotes from women who are really wise and strong and women I idolize, and now I've got one more woman that I idolize to add to it.

Stephanie: Oh, let me get the shovel.

Dayzee: (Laughs) So, yeah, I thought they'd be perfect for you.

Stephanie: Thank you, Sweetie.

Dayzee: You're welcome.

Stephanie: May I make a suggestion? I mean, and you don't have to do it if you don't want to.

Dayzee: No, proceed.

Stephanie: How about if we hang them here?

Dayzee: That sounds great.

Stephanie: Yeah? It's all right?

Dayzee: Yeah, I like it.

Stephanie: (Laughs) Thank you so much.

Dayzee: Thank you. you're a doll.

Pam: And?

Caroline: Mmm-mmm.

Pam: See that? Okay.

Caroline: Mmm, mmm, mmm. Can't resist it.

Pam: You're not gonna-m regret it. I promise. I promise.

Kevin: Okay. All right.

Pam: She won't have one.

Felicia: Oh, yes, I will. Give me one of those.

Pam: You will?

Felicia: Watch me. Mmm. I have to do that. My aunt takes her lemon bars very seriously.

Kevin: So I see, yeah.

Felicia: But they're tasty.

Caroline: We're all gonna take 'em seriously, too.

Felicia: (Laughs)

Kevin: So you're Stephanie's daughter?

Felicia: Yes. Yes. I'm Felicia.

Kevin: Nice to meet you.

Felicia: Nice to meet you.

Kevin: Yeah, you are blessed to have her as a mother.

Felicia: (Sighs) I didn't always appreciate her growing up, but you're right. I am very blessed.

Caroline: You know, as we get older, we appreciate our parents more.

Felicia: Yes, we do.

Caroline: 'Cause I did.

Felicia: (Laughs)

Hope: I think I'm starting to get what you were saying about--about living is giving.

Stephanie: I guess once you realize that, it really does change your life.

Brooke: You don't use this anymore, right?

Ridge: What?!

Brooke: Hi, Anthony. (Sighs)

Anthony: Hey.

Brooke: How your foot?

Anthony: Eh, it's fine. listen, I want to thank you again for today. The shower, the clothes-- it was all very kind.

Brooke: Well, it's not a problem. There's something else that I'd like to give you. I feel really bad about what happened with your guitar. So Ridge and I would like to get you this.

Anthony: You're not serious.

Brooke: (Laughs) Yes. Merry Christmas. You just promise you'll play a few songs for us.

Anthony: Oh, wow. This is incredible.

Brooke: (Giggles)

Anthony: I saw this at your house, Ridge are you sure you don't play it anymore?

Ridge: Well...no.

Brooke: Oh, no. Only back when he was a player. He used to serenade all the women. (Giggles)

Ridge: Look, Anthony, just, um... take care of my baby.

Anthony: Ridge, I will cherish this. Thank you. Thank you both.

Brooke: Thomas.

Taylor: Oh, no.

Ridge: What?

Brooke: Thomas, come here.

Taylor: You've gotta be kidding me. Ridge, do something.

Ridge: You didn't just think that...

Taylor: Well, mistletoe, Brooke, you know-- you do the math.

Ridge: Taylor, Taylor, Taylor. You don't have to worry about that anymore. I promise you.

Stephanie: Kevin, I want you to meet Dr. Hayes, the psychiatrist that was talking to you about.

Kevin: Oh, your -- your best fiend.

Stephanie: That's right. This is Kevin.

Kevin: Pleasure to meet you.

Taylor: Hi. Nice to meet you.

Stephanie: (Stammers) (Chuckles) I was talking to him--I hope you don't mind--about your practice... Because you said to me that you might be willing to help.

Taylor: Oh, yes. Yes. Absolutely. I do want to.

Kevin: Well, could we get together sometime, discuss some of the mental health issues I see on the street? There are a few people I'm trying to connect with, and I'd love some advice as to how to help them, I mean, if you have time.

Taylor: Oh, yeah, um, I've got my card, actually, right here, so give me a call, and--and we'll set something up.

Kevin: Oh, that's excellent. Thank you so much. I appreciate it.

Taylor: Thank you.

Stephanie: Okay, see you later. (Clears throat)

Taylor: And thank you.

Stephanie: For what?

Taylor: For making me still. Feel like your best friend.

Stephanie: Well, you are. Why would that change?

Taylor: (Stammers) I don't know if I'm just sensitive 'cause of the holidays or what, but I just... I feel really alone.

Stephanie: Well, you've got Whip.

Taylor: (Sighs) Stephanie, it's--it's all of these things I'm going through with--with Brooke and--and Thomas, and I feel like I'm the only one dealing with it besides Whip, and--and I feel like you think I'm overreacting. And... (Sighs) There's all of these things going on with you and Brooke cause she's been going through this with you while you've been sick. And--and, I don't know, I just feel like I'm losing somebody really special to me, and I-I know I'm rambling.

Stephanie: Taylor. Taylor, I love you. A bushel and a peck. You're not gonna lose me till I die.

Taylor: (Laughs) Will you please forgive me? I'm sorry if I'm irrational.

Stephanie: What's to forgive? Honey, that's what best friends are for. I love you. I love you.

Taylor: I love you, too.

Stephanie: Merry Christmas, Baby Girl.

Taylor: Merry Christmas...

Pam: Hi, everybody. Who would like cookie? Does the baby want a cookie? There we go.

Brooke: (Chuckles)

Ridge: You look happy.

Brooke: Yeah. This is my favorite time of the year.

Ridge: Are you thinking what I am?

Brooke: Best Christmas ever?

Ridge: Actually, I was thinking, you just gave away my guitar.

Brooke: Oh, yeah, I did.

Ridge: Do you know what kind of guitar that was?

Brooke: Not really.

Ridge: I've had it for years.

Brooke: I know.

Ridge: Yes, maybe I haven't played it that frequently recently, but that still has a bit of sentimental value.

Brooke: Okay. I understand. Well, maybe I could go over there and pry it out of Anthony's hands.

Anthony: This is a nice... (Chuckles)

Kevin: It looks like a real...

Ridge: I don't think so.

Brooke: (Giggles)

Ridge: That guitar doesn't need to be gathering dust. It needs to be played.

Brooke: It's true.

Ridge: I have a feeling the streets of L.A. will have never sound better.

(Cheers and applause)

Boy: It's what I always wanted!

Girl: Mama, look at I!

Boy: (Laughs)

Boy: I've wanted to this all my life.

Boy: I know. Me, too.

Boy: There she is. (Cheers and applause)

Stephanie: (Chuckles)

Eric: Happy?

Pam: Do you love it? Oh, yay!

Stephanie: Pretty much.

(Cheers and applause)

Stephanie: It's pretty much what I thought it would be.

(Cheers and applause)

Stephanie: I guess so. Yeah. Selfish reasons, though. I hope my end doesn't come soon when this gets all finished.

Eric: (Chuckles) No matter what happens, I'm gonna continue the fight and so will your children and so will your grandchildren.

Stephanie: You'll see to that?

Eric: Mm-m.

Stephanie: Thank you.

Stephanie: I wasted a lot of time.

Eric: Stop that. You were living your life just like everybody.

Stephanie: Mm. I think I was hurtling toward the deul.

Eric: (Scoffs) What?

Stephanie: Well, you know how life is. You get up in the morning. You have breakfast. You go to work. (Sighs) You have lunch. You go in, yell at Brooke, call her the Slut of the Valley, and, um...

Eric: Yeah, you should stop doing that.

Stephanie: Oh, she knows I'm teasing her. You know what I mean. You get into that routine in your home. You make a martini. So much wasted... (Sighs) Time and momentum and life and... took me forever to figure that out.

Eric: You're living now.

Stephanie: Yeah. As long as this body hangs in there.

Eric: (Chuckles) I don't think-- I don't think the world is done with you, not yet. Do you know, I think, um... cancer came to scare you into doing something more with your life, not to take you away from me.

Stephanie: Maybe you're right.

Eric: Would it embarrass you if I gave a speech?

Stephanie: (Whispers) How much eggnog have you had?

Eric: Why do you always have to ask me that?

Stephanie: Here we go.

Eric: Everybody, uh, pardon me for a second. If I might just have your attention for a moment.

Pam: (Tapping on mug)

Eric: (Chuckles) Thank you.

Dayzee: (Chuckles)

Eric: I want take just a second this Christmas to, uh, pay homage to the woman I love, this...

Stephanie: (Scoffs)

Eric: This woman right here. I know you know that Stephanie is fighting cancer, and that is a battle that I am convinced she's gonna win.

Leilani: Yes!

(Voices overlapping)

Eric: But if by any chance I end up spending next Christmas without you...

Crowd: (Gasps)

Leilani: That's not gonna happen.

Pam: (Chuckles) That's right.

Eric: I want to promise you something right now right here in front of all these people-- that I personally am gonna see to it that everybody lives up to the ideals that you have set. You have, uh, opened our eyes, and you've created something wonderful for the community here. And I am more proud of you than... (Sighs) Anyone I've ever known in my life. You know, she's a pain-- she's very, very difficult to work with.

All: (Laughing)

Eric: No, she is. She's demanding, and-- and she orders me around. And it's very, very difficult, I have to say, but I wouldn't trade you for anyone else in the world.

Stephanie: This year.

Eric: This year or any.

Stephanie: (Laughs)

Eric: You're my love, my life. I will treasure every moment I have left with you in this world. Merry Christmas.

Stephanie: Merry Christmas, Sweetheart.

All: (Cheering)

Anthony: Have yourself a Merry little Christmas let your heart be light from now on our troubles will be out of sight yeah, yeah, yeah.

Dayzee: Have yourself a Merry little Christmas make the yuletide gay from now on our troubles will be miles away.

Anthony: Mm, mm here we are back in olden days happy holidays of yore yeah, yeah.

Dayzee: Faithful friends who are dear to us gather near to us once more.

Anthony: Whoa through the years we all will be together if the fates allow.

Dayzee: Hang a shining star upon the highest bow.

All: (Cheering)

Together: And have yourself a Merry little Christmas.

Anthony: You know what, Dayzee? Have yourself.

Dayzee: (Laughs)

Anthony: Have a Merry little Christmas.

(Cheers and applause)

Dayzee: Ooh.

Anthony: Have yourself a Merry little Christmas now Merry Christmas, Dayzee.

Dayzee: (Laughs)

(Cheers and applause)

Anthony: Now Christmas, Merry Christmas, Brooke.

(Cheers and applause)

Anthony: Thank you for the guitar, Ridge.

Stephanie: Oh.
