Liam: (Sighs) (Groans) (Sighs) (Grunts) Hope?

Brooke: Hope? Hope, are you here? That's strange.

Stephanie: Hello?

Brooke: Stephanie, hi. It's Brooke.

Stephanie: Hi, honey.

Brooke: How are you doing?

Stephanie: I'm fine, thanks. (Chuckles) What's up?

Brooke: Well... (sighs) I've been thinking a lot about Anthony lately.

Stephanie: Your friend from, uh, Skid Row, yeah.

Brooke: I'm really worried about him. I know the holidays are coming up, and I don't want him spending them on the streets alone. Do you know where he might be?

Stephanie: Uh, no, actually, I don't. Um, but, you know, Dayzee might. They're really good friends.

Brooke: Could you ask her next time you see her?

Stephanie: I'm actually here at the Insomnia, and I'm, um, I'm gonna see her for coffee, so I can do it right now.

Brooke: Oh. (Laughs) That's perfect. Well, let me know what she says.

Stephanie: All right. Talk to you later.

Brooke: Bye.

Dayzee: Hey, Stephanie.

Stephanie: Hi.

Dayzee: Hi. Whoa, the place looks deserted.

Stephanie: Yeah. (Chuckles) I know. It's kind of strange.

C.J.: Hey, it's Mrs. F.

Stephanie: C.J., How are you?

C.J.: I'm great. How are you?

Stephanie: Where is everybody?

C.J.: Oh, you guys must have missed the sign. We're closed.

Stephanie: (Laughs) I guess we did.

Dayzee: Yeah.

Stephanie: Uh, what kind of hours are you going to be keeping here?

C.J.: Uh, actually, as of today, none. I'm closing the place down.

Stephanie: Oh.

Stephanie: So you're gonna close the Insomnia. I-I don't understand.

C.J.: Well, I-I live in San Francisco now. Mom's not in town anymore, so I just... kind of figured it was time, you know?

Stephanie: I'm sorry. Oh! (Chuckles)

Dayzee: (Chuckles)

Stephanie: Dayzee, this is my friend C.J. C.J., This is my friend Dayzee.

C.J.: How rude.

Stephanie: (Laughs)

Dayzee: (Laughs)

C.J.: Nice to meet you.

Dayzee: You, too. I'm sorry to hear that you're closing your place down. It looks like it was a really cool spot.

C.J.: Yeah. (Sighs) Yeah, it was.

Dayzee: (Sighs)

Stephanie: His mother's an old friend of mine. How's she doing?

C.J.: Ah, she's great. You know Mom. Sally Spectra will live forever.

Stephanie: (Laughs) I think she probably will. Last I heard, she was in the Caribbean on a yacht sailing around with a bevy of body builders. Is it true?

C.J.: Uh, Mom's definitely in heaven, that's for sure. (Chuckles)

Stephanie: (Chuckles)

C.J.: (Sighs) Let's see. I'm gonna--I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that you two ladies came in here for some coffee.

Stephanie: Mm, mm-hmm.

C.J.: I think I can hook you up. I've got one last pot, the last pot this place will ever see, actually. (Chuckles) You know, Mom would get a real kick out of knowing I was sharing it with you, Stephanie.

Stephanie: Oh, honey.

C.J.: Here you go.

Dayzee: Thank you.

Stephanie: Thank you so much.

C.J.: Shall we?

Stephanie: Sure.

C.J.: Well, cheers.

Stephanie: Cheers.

(Mugs clink)

Liam: Hope? Hope? You awake? (Grunts) Hope? Hey.

Amber: (Sighs)

Liam: (Sighs) Wha-- oh. Most

Stephanie: So there's no... no way you think you can hang on to this place?

C.J.: (Sighs) I wish that I could. I really do. But I-I don't know. I think it's just time for me to let it go.

Stephanie: What are you gonna do?

C.J.: Well, like I said, I mean, things are going well for me up in San Francisco, and my life is there now. I hate selling this place. I really do, but... I don't know. At the end of the day, it's--it's just a coffeehouse, right?

Stephanie: No, I think, actually, it's much more than that.

(Door opens)

Hope: Hey, Mom.

Brooke: Oh, honey, there you are. I've been looking for you.

Hope: Oh, yeah, I just went out for a walk, just clearing my head.

Brooke: You okay?

Hope: Honestly... (sighs) um, no, not really.

Brooke: What's up?

Hope: I walked out on Liam last night.

Brooke: At his party?

Hope: Yeah. I-it was really hard, Mom. It--I know that it was his big night, but everything was about him being William Spencer III, the most eligible bachelor.

Brooke: Oh, honey, I'm sorry.

Hope: It... it hurt.

Brooke: Well, I'm sure it did. You're his girlfriend. He's so darn lucky. He should be shouting it from the rooftops.

Hope: (Chuckles) I just shouldn't have reacted the way I did. I shouldn't have. It--Liam was just going along with what his dad wanted, and--and personally, I couldn't stand it, so I left. I shouldn't have done that.

Liam: (Scoffs) Oh, God. Okay. That's-- this is not happening. This-- (Grunts)  This is a dream. It's like a bad dream. (Sniffles)

Amber: Sorry, Charlie. Come on. You don't remember anything from last night?

Liam: (Breathing heavily) Okay. Oh, God. What happened? What? What happened? (Sighs) I can't remember anything. (Winces)

Amber: Oh. That's too bad, 'cause we had lots of fun.

Liam: Ow. Ow. What-- why--why do I have a huge knot on my head?

Amber: Ew. Wow. You really did a number on yourself. Must have happened after the party.

Liam: How do you know about that?

Amber: Well, because I was there. I was hanging in the back. I was worried about you, so I followed you home. I just--I wanted to make sure you were okay, because I watched Hope walk out on you.

Liam: Okay, okay, don't-- don't--don't follow me home anymore. I don't-- I don't remember... I don't remember any of this. How did you-- how did you get my clothes off? I don't... I wouldn't... I wouldn't do this. I-I wouldn't-- I love Hope. I know... I know that I w-- I didn't. I-I-I didn't.

Amber: Oh, no. Make no mistake. It happened.

Liam: (Sighs) Okay. Oh, boy.

Amber: Hey, listen. You just need to chill out, dude. You just need to relax, calm yourself. Take a bunch of deep breaths.

Liam: (Groans)

Brooke: You shouldn't feel bad for leaving Liam's party.

Hope: It was so over-the-top, Mom. I mean, Bill was parading Liam around like--like he was the king of bachelorhood. I-it--it was like I didn't even exist.

Brooke: You know how Bill Spencer can be.

Hope: Yeah, I do, and that's why I'm kicking myself, because this wasn't Liam's fault. You know, this whole act was-- was Bill's idea, and I got upset with Liam. I should have stuck it out. I should have been a supportive girlfriend and--and just let him have his moment, women and all. Instead, I walked out.

Brooke: (Sighs) Honey, don't be so hard on yourself. I'm sure Liam will understand.

Hope: I've called him a bunch of times, but his phone keeps going straight to voice mail, which is weird, because he never turns off his phone. I don't know. Maybe the battery died. I-I don't know.

Brooke: Or maybe he's still sleeping. Sounds like he had a pretty major night.

Hope: I should have gone over there last night. I was in my car on my way over to his apartment, and I... I changed my mind, and I-I came back home. I-I never went over there. Now I really wish I had.

Liam: Oh, God. Oh, I'm serious. I feel like I'm gonna barf.

Amber: (Chuckles) You'll be fine.

Liam: (Winces) I-I am so disappointed in myself!

Amber: Well, I'm trying to help.

Liam: Yeah, like you were trying to help last night? (Scoffs) Amber, you shouldn't have followed me here. You shouldn't have come here. I had no intention of this-- none. You're out to get me. That's what's going on here. You're out to get me, and I have a girlfriend... at least I hope I still do. (Groans)

C.J.: Well, uh, I'm gonna have to excuse myself.

Stephanie: Mm.

C.J.: I've got a ton of work to do in the back, but feel free to stay as long as you like. Make yourselves at home. You ladies are my very last customers, so the coffee is on the house.

Stephanie: (Chuckles) Thank you so much.

C.J.: It's really good to see you, Mrs. Forrester.

Stephanie: Same here.

C.J.: And very nice to meet you, Dayzee.

Dayzee: You, too. Take care.

C.J.: I will.

Stephanie: You gonna be hanging out in the back a bit?

C.J.: Yeah, I-- like I said, I got a ton to do. So, uh, oh, you know, um, I'll be right back there if you ladies want to give me a hand.

Dayzee: (Laughs)

Stephanie: (Laughs) I-I don't think so.

Dayzee: (Chuckles) Sounds like this place was a real neighborhood institution.

Stephanie: Mm-hmm. Still could be, you know. Uh, when I spoke to Brooke earlier, she asked me, uh, if you knew were Anthony was, because she's concerned about him.

Dayzee: (Sighs) No, I don't, and I've been looking for him. I'm worried, too. Especially around the holidays, things just get so tough for people.

Stephanie: I know. They need a break. It's amazing-- one little break-- how it can transform a life.

Dayzee: What they need is employment. Of course, times are tough, and nobody's hiring.

Stephanie: I know. What if we could do... something with this place? Would--would you be willing to help?

Dayzee: Mm, what do you have in mind?

Stephanie: Jobs... here. Suppose I buy the place. Don't you think we could turn it into something pretty spectacular? Of course, I would need someone to operate it day to day. Would you be interested in something like that, Dayzee?

Liam: I need you to do me a favor.

Amber: Shoot.

Liam: I need you not to tell Hope about this. The holidays are coming. I don't know how I'm gonna handle it, but I gotta be the one to tell her.

Amber: Mm. My lips are sealed.

Liam: Thanks.  Oh, God, why is the room still spinning?

Amber: Whoa.

Liam: (Sighs)

Amber: You know, uh, you--you should really get that bump checked out. It looks really bad.

Liam: Yeah. Yeah, okay, I'm gonna-- I'm gonna go... I'm gonna go check it out. (Sighs)

Amber: (Whispering) A concussion. (Quietly) No wonder he didn't try to wake up when I took his clothes off last night. Oh, wow. My plan is already starting to work. The most eligible bachelor in the world thinks we just made love.

Liam: Um... I think I hit it pretty hard.

Amber: (Normal voice) Would you like me to kiss it and make it better?

Liam: I'm okay. Tha--thank you. (Sighs) (exhales) (sighs)

Amber: You know, I like you, Liam. I'm sorry if you're so freaked out. If you need a friend, I'm here for you. If you need to talk, I'm here for you. If you want--

Liam: No! No. No. Stop it. I can't.

Amber: You mean we can't again.

Liam: I really think I have a concussion. I mean, I can't remember anything and this whole--this-- this is such a disaster. (Scoffs)

(Cell phone rings)

Liam: (Sniffles) (Sighs)

Liam: (Sighs) It's Hope, so just...

Amber: (Whispers) I'm as quiet as a mouse.

Liam: (Grunts) Hey, Hope.

Hope: Hey, I-I'm glad I finally got you. Um, I'm so sorry about all the messages that I-I left you, but I just... I really wanted to talk to you about last night.

Liam: Yeah, I-I need to talk to you about that, too.

Hope: I am so sorry that I walked out last night. I--that was your big night, and I-I never should have left, ever, ever. I am so sorry.

Liam: No, I should be the one apologizing. After you left last night, it was a... it was a disaster. Just know-- just know that I love you very much.

Hope: I love you, too.

Liam: I just screwed up my entire life.

Amber: Aw.

Liam: I think I need to be alone.

Amber: Okay.  Bye.

Stephanie: The people I talked to down there, what do they want? They want a job.

Dayzee: Yeah.

Stephanie: They want to work. They want to make a living.

Dayzee: Mm-hmm.

Stephanie: And I'm thinking that maybe in some small way, this place could begin to address the needs of the community.

Dayzee: (Sighs) You for real? I mean, this sounds amazing.

Stephanie: I think that's why I end up down there. I've given money. But this time, I wanted to do something... you know, I wanted to roll up my sleeves and-- and do something concrete. And this might just be the vehicle.

Dayzee: I literally don't know what to say. (Laughs)

Stephanie: (Laughs) Well, you could say "yes." I mean, I know how much you love working down there. You'd have to give that up. But this is a real opportunity for you. It'd be real opportunity for a lot of the people down there. Would you be willing to give it a try?

Dayzee: Yes. (Laughs) Yes, count me in. I mean, anything to make this happen, I'm here.

Stephanie: Good.

Dayzee: Yeah.

Stephanie: Thank you for saying "yes."

Dayzee: Thank you. (Laughs)

Stephanie: (Laughs)

Dayzee: And--and thank you, Stephanie, for know believing in me. I mean, most people say they're gonna help, then you never see 'em again. Not you. I mean, for me to be able to look at my friends and tell them they have a job-- do you know what that's gonna do for them? It's gonna change their lives. (Laughs) I'm so excited. I just--I-I already know who I want to hire.

Stephanie: (Laughs) Well, go on down there and get them hired.

Dayzee: Okay. Well, should I tell them to come here to Insomnia?

Stephanie: No. Tell 'em to come to Dayzee's. This is gonna be your place, kid.

Dayzee: (Laughs) Thank you.

Stephanie: (Laughs)
