Ridge: You don't have to be so afraid.

Taylor: (Sniffles) I'm just--I'm so frightened for him, Ridge.

Ridge: Taylor, listen to me. I'm keeping an eye on things.

Taylor: (Sniffles) But you saw the pictures. Why did they have to have their hands all over each other like that?

Ridge: That's not happening, not like that. I told them.

Taylor: But did they listen?

Ridge: They will. You have my word. I promise.

Nick: (Smacking lips) That butter sauce is awesome.

Aggie: You get out of there!

Nick: (Chuckles)

Aggie: It's béarnaise sauce, actually, "Sailor Boy."

Nick: Oh. How did you know?

Aggie: What?

Nick: How did you know that I so needed a night like this to just...?

Aggie: We all need a night like this, and you and Jackie and Owen are in burnout mode. Somebody had to do something.

Nick: Yeah, but, I mean, you went to all this trouble-- the steak, the sauce, the this, the that.

Aggie: It's filet mignon with béarnaise sauce, okay?

Nick: (Chuckles)

Aggie: Get it straight. It's no trouble. You know how much I love cooking for you.

 (Doorbell rings)

Aggie: Mm, show time. Let's hope she likes my food.

Nick: Hey, hey, hey. Don't worry about her. I like your food. In fact, there's nothing about you I don't like.

Aggie: Wait. Wait. Wait.

Nick: Thank you.

Aggie: Wipe your mouth.

Nick: Now get the door.

Aggie: Okay. Hi.

Jackie: Oh, hi.

Owen: Hey.

Jackie: Good evening, Dear. (Chuckles)

Aggie: How are you? Thank you.

Jackie: Oh, my word. What a delicious aroma.

Aggie: Oh, chocolate soufflé.

Jackie: That is my favorite. How did you know?

Aggie: I did a little research. (Chuckles) I'm just hoping everything goes perfect tonight.

Jackie: So where is the darlingest grandson in the entire western hemisphere?

Nick: He is at a friend's on a play date.

Jackie: Oh.

Nick: I'll get him after dinner. You look gorgeous, Mother.

Jackie: Well, thank you, Sweetheart. Credit my husband. He chose it.

Nick: I'm impressed.

Owen: She dresses up pretty well, doesn't she?

Jackie: (Chuckles)

Nick: Looks like you're going to an event.

Jackie: Yes, well, I actually did want to go for it this evening, seeing that our friends across town are having yet another fashion show.

Summer: For good luck, not like you need it.

Thomas: Thank you. (Chuckles)

Summer: So are we getting together after the show?

Thomas: No, I plan on being busy with the press. Come on, Summer. You know where we stand. I'm not up for anything serious. I got one priority, and that's Taboo.

Summer: Such a waste.

Thomas: Let's get back to work-- a lot to do.

Summer: (Sighs)

Taylor: It isn't too late for you to stop this, Ridge.

Ridge: Yes, it is. I can't pull the plug now. The fashion show is tonight.

Taylor: Ridge, aren't you worried? Aren't you worried about anything wrong that could happen? I mean, I know you're not comfortable with this. You've admitted that to me.

Ridge: Yes. I'm a little torn. Yes. But I can't do that to our son.

Taylor: You could be saving our son.

Ridge: He would never see it that way, Taylor. I'm not gonna cancel on him, not now.

Taylor: I just... I hope with all my heart, I hope that you're not going to live to regret this.

Ridge: Try not to worry. I better get downstairs.

Taylor: (Sniffles) (Sighs) (Door closes)

Whip: You're still in love with him.

Nick: This one thing I'll eat, any time of day

Owen: Wow, this is all delicious, Aggie.

Jackie: Mm-hmm.

Aggie: I hope you're okay with anchovies on your salad.

Jackie: Caesar with anchovies, chocolate soufflé for dessert-- we wouldn't by any chance be having filet with béarnaise for an entrée, would we?

Nick: (Whistling)

Aggie: I did a little research. (Laughs)

Jackie: Uh-huh.

Aggie: Am I trying too hard?

Jackie: Oh, God, no. You're doing fine. How do you like the kitchen here?

Aggie: Amazing. Industrial--I love it.

Jackie: (Chuckles) Yes. It's wonderful. I would have loved it, too, when I lived here many years ago with Nicky's father, if I could have cooked.

Aggie: (Laughs)

Nick: (Chuckles) Mother.

Jackie: Okay, let's talk business, shall we?

Nick: If we must.

Jackie: These are very difficult times, Nicky, I do know, but we've faced them before.

Nick: Yeah, but we've never faced them without a lead designer or a line to put out, mother.

Jackie: (Sighs)

Owen: And meanwhile, Forrester's really pourin' on the pressure with the Hope for the Future and the, uh, Thomas Forrester Taboo line.

Jackie: Which they are presenting, once again, this evening.

Nick: Mm. I don't know how Forrester let this one slide. His wife and his son? That family's trying to be more twisted than ours.

Ridge: Thomas, we need to talk.

Thomas: You're good to go. Dad, look, if it's about the photo shoot, Brooke and I were just workin' the market. It's what Taboo's about, right?

Ridge: What I walked in on was totally inappropriate. I want to make sure you're getting this message.

Thomas: I am. We're on a roll here. You've seen the sales figures.

Ridge: Thomas, understand me. I don't want you pushing the boundary of good taste here. That kiss on the runway maybe have worked for us back then--

Thomas: That kiss put Taboo on the map. You signed on for this. You named the line. Come on. Ease up. We got a show tonight, and it's gonna be a huge success, so just relax, okay?

Ridge: Look--

Summer: Excited, Mr. Forrester? We sure are.

Thomas: Everything is going to be fine. Trust me.

Ridge: I want to trust you, Son, but we're talking about my wife and my son. Do not push this. There's a very definite line that cannot be crossed.

Whip: I saw you and Ridge. You were in his arms again... (Chuckles) The second time today.

Taylor: I was upset, and he was trying to calm me down. It--it doesn't mean I'm in love with him.

Whip: No, Taylor... I saw the look in your eyes.

Taylor: I don't want Ridge. I want you.

Whip: You have me. You have me, and I love you, but I'm just not sure that it's enough.

Taylor: Yes, of course it's enough. It's enough. I'm very happy in our marriage.

Whip: You know what I think? I think you want to be. But sometimes I just f-- I feel like you're fooling yourself. I don't know. Maybe you're in denial.

Taylor: No, no, Whip. Whip, this marriage is everything I've ever dreamed of. I mean, it's everything I wanted. I-- the other night was meaningless.

Whip: Me--meaningless? You called out the man's name while we were making love. How is that meaningless?

Taylor: Whip, I... you know about my history with Ridge. I-I've been very open with you about that. But we're going through something right now, and we're in the middle of it between this problem going on with--with Brooke and--and our son, and it's weighing on both of us. (Sighs) I know it shouldn't have followed us into the bedroom, and I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Please forgive me. I'm sorry. It doesn't have anything to do with you. It doesn't mean anything. It's no indication of how I feel about Ridge at all, all right? You are the man I'm married to. I love you, and I want to be with you. I want to spend the rest of my life with you.

Whip: (Sighs) You are spectacular. You know, when I first fell in love with you, I thought that... I thought that you were too good for me. And, yes, I-- yes, I did know about you and Ridge, and I knew how close you were. That is why I had to be absolutely sure that you were over him before we got married. And then I come in here, and I see the two of you. You're embracing, and he's laughing at me. (Sighs) What happened in the bedroom...? Taylor, how would you feel? Hmm? I don't want to lose you, but I feel like I am.

Thomas: (Sighs) Look, Dad, I hear you. I do, but everything's in the works. I got a show comin' up, and I gotta get ready.

Ridge: You understand what I'm saying?

Thomas: Of course. It's the art of the tease. Brooke and I are just workin' it, and the whole world is responding. It's paying off for us big-time.

Ridge: Yes, I know we have a huge investment in this.

Thomas: So enjoy this with me. This is my first big success. Do you know how much this means to me, Dad, to feel like I'm finally carving my own way, making my own huge contributions to Forrester? Taboo has put our men's line front and center. My name is recognized all over the world. Dad, this is my coming of age.

Ridge: Yes, that's true, it is. The show tonight is about your collection, and I'm very proud to have the Forrester name on it. I'm very proud of you, but I want to make sure you understand something. I don't want any stunts, nothing salacious between you and Brooke. Am I understood?

Marcus: Hey, Thomas? We need you for the press check, Man.

Thomas: All right.

Marcus: Yeah.

Ridge: Go.

Taylor: You're not going to lose me, not to Ridge, not to anyone.

Whip: Uh, well, I want to believe that.

Taylor: Well, you can believe it.

Whip: (Scoffs)

Taylor: I can't imagine my life without you. I can't. I made a horrible mistake, and I'm sorry. I apologized for it. (Sniffles) I wasn't thinking of Ridge when--when we were making love. I wasn't. You're everything to me. You're all I want. (Sighs) I love you. I just--please, I want you to forgive me.

Whip: I love you, too, Taylor. I love you more than you know. And I trust you. I-I believe in you, in--in us. (Sighs)

Taylor: But I betrayed your trust. I know that, and I'm sorry.

Whip: Yes, and unfortunately, when trust is gone, there isn't anything left.

Taylor: Well, tell me that it isn't gone. Tell me that you could just accept my apology and--and forgive me. Whip, don't-- don't just give up on us. I'm--I'm--please, just forgive me. Let's just put it behind us.

Whip: You know, this marriage has given me so much happiness. I mean, I can't imagine a future without you.

Whip: And I don't ever want it to go there, okay? So, yes, I accept your apology. It's gonna take me a little while to--to trust again. But I do believe in your love for me. And I'm good for you, Lady.

Taylor: (Laughs)

Whip: Yeah, I am.

Taylor: (Chuckles)

Whip: And I will protect you always. (Sighs) But you gotta protect us. Okay? I love you. Mm.

Taylor: I love you.

Ridge: Where is Taylor? Where is Taylor?

Whip: She left.

Ridge: Whip, you shouldn't be in here alone. After all, you are head of P.R. for the competition.

Whip: Yeah, I guess that's what we are, huh-- competitors, and not just in business, right?

Ridge: Oh, come on.

Whip: Oh, uncomfortable talking about Taylor behind her back? Seemed pretty comfortable talking about me behind mine.

Ridge: You're overreacting.

Whip: Am I? She's my wife, Ridge. We're a family, and you're invading it. I'm not gonna put up with it any longer. It's gonna stop right now.

Owen: Kudos to you, Aggie, for bringing us together.

Aggie: My pleasure.

Owen: And to my beautiful wife...

Nick: Mother?

Jackie: Oh, thank you, Darling.

Owen: Without whom none of us would be here tonight to enjoy Aggie's dinner.

Nick: (Clinking glass) Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding. I want to make a little toast here, so stop kissing.

Jackie: (Chuckles)

Nick: I don't think any of us could have imagined sitting down for a meal together, especially recently, without a food fight.

Jackie: Hmm.

Nick: So I'd like to toast you, oh, beautiful one, for putting this together tonight. Please. And here's to all of us. The Jackie M. family are facing some tough times, but we will stick together, because if we do, we will persevere, and we will overcome. (Glasses clink)

Aggie: Cheers to that. (Glasses clink)

Nick: Mother. (Glasses clink)

Nick: Cheers.

Ridge: Okay, I understand you're upset. I apologize.

Whip: I don't want your apology. I want you to stay away from my wife.

Ridge: Taylor and I have children together. We're dealing with an issue.

Whip: Yeah, whose fault is that? I think you were the one who came up with the Taboo line, right?

Ridge: Whip, I'm not gonna debate that with you. Businesswise, it's paying off.

Whip: Yeah, and keeps her totally freaked out, right, which I'm sure you're well aware of.

Ridge: I've tried to calm her down.

Whip: Yeah, maybe. It's convenient, the way she keeps running back to you, though.

Ridge: I have not encouraged this, but I'm not gonna push her away either.

Whip: No, you're just gonna keep telling her how much she means to you.

Ridge: She does. She always will.

Whip: You don't even see it, do you?

Ridge: See what?

Whip: The way you keep leadin' her on.

Ridge: That's not true.

Whip: Oh, come on, Ridge. It is. You've got this proprietary feeling about Taylor like--like she belongs to you... I mean, no matter the fact that you are married or that she's married. I mean, you just keep teasin' her along. I mean, what is it with you? You want the blonde and the brunette?

Ridge: Now this conversation is over.

Whip: Oh, why? Did I hit a nerve?

Ridge: Brooke is my wife. She is the only woman I want and need.

Whip: Great. Then why the juggling act, huh? Why the hints, the constant innuendos? Why do you constantly keep bringing Taylor back to you? Look, you keep feeding her vulnerability to come back to you, and then you use your children to keep her tied to you. I mean, you got her all worried about--about Brooke and--and Thomas, and first it was Steffy. I mean, when is it gonna end?

Ridge: Look, I told her she doesn't need to be worried about Thomas and Brooke. I'm doing everything I can to reassure her.

Whip: Yeah, and she keeps runnin' right back to you, graspin' for more, doesn't she?

Ridge: Well, I can't help that. All I can do is try to calm her down and give her a perspective. What the hell do you want me to do?

Whip: I want you to quit getting inside my wife's head and keeping her tied to you.

Ridge: Whip, the last thing I want to do is interfere in your marriage, but I'm not gonna cut myself off from the mother of my kids. When we have issues involving my children, we're gonna deal with them.

Whip: So I see. So basically, you're telling me you're not gonna stop messing with my marriage. How would you like it if somebody messed with yours?

Ridge: Whip, I'm sorry. I'm not trying to invade your marriage. Taylor and I happen to share a son and a daughter. We relate about our kids. That's it. That's the way it is, and it's not gonna change.

(Knock on door)

Marcus: Hey, Ridge. Oh, sorry.

Ridge: It's all right. Mr. Jones was just leaving.

Marcus: We'll need to know about placement of those screens you wanted, and the lighting guys were asking about the scrims.

Ridge: Whip, you can take off. We have a fashion show to get ready for here. Be a good husband to your wife. Stay out of my life, because there really isn't anything you can do to me.

Ridge: All right, get this down to Thomas. Tell him the rundowns look good. Have him adjust the screens however he wants. Tell the lighting guys to go along with the plan as it's been approved. No changes.

Whip: Nothin' I can do to you, Ridge? We'll see about that.
