Oliver. She doesn't belong here.
Amber: Aggie, your brother invited me to stay with him.
Aggie: Oh, yeah, just like Nick invited you to go work for the company. We all know how that turned out.
Oliver: That's not fair. Amber thought that Nick ordered her to.
Aggie: You know what? Don't defend her. Oliver, she's using you. She is still using you. You need to tell her to get out now.
Taylor: Thank you so much for coming over. I-I know you're very busy.
Ridge: You said it was important.
Taylor: It is. Um, it's about Thomas.
Ridge: And Brooke.
Taylor: I thought I saw them kissing in the office today.
Ridge: You thought you did?
Taylor: Well, it wasn't her. I-I guess there's this lovely blonde model that has taken a liking to our son, and, um.... I saw Brooke. It just seemed so real.
Ridge: Taylor, you've let yourself get completely and totally stressed out over all of this.
Taylor: I made a fool of myself, okay? I screamed... very loudly.
Ridge: (Sighs) How did Thomas react?
Taylor: Oh, he already thinks I'm nuts.
Ridge: He thinks you're overreacting.
Taylor: (Sniffles) Well, he's right, because I have been.
Ridge: You know what I think?
Taylor: You think that I am getting myself all worked up over nothing, and that I have pushed myself to the edge. See? I know that you know me that well. That's why I wanted to talk to you, because you understand me. You know me better than anybody. And you know my heart. You know everything I... I really feel.
Ridge: Taylor, you're his mother. It's perfectly natural for you to worry.
Taylor: But if there's no reason...
Ridge: I don't believe there is a reason.
Taylor: Well, I'm wanting to believe that. It's just I-I know that there's been a lot of distance between Thomas and me. And it's just been getting... wider and wider, and I-I-I think maybe it was when I gave Steffy the--the shares to the company that I had-- I think... I think that upset him, and it's just created this gulf between us, and it's just been getting worse and worse, and I-I think maybe that's why I just started panicking and--and getting myself so upset, and I got really scared.
Ridge: Taylor, you're not gonna lose Thomas. His work with Brooke is just that-- it's just work. It's important to him. He's excited by it. And he's been around this business long enough to know the difference between personal and professional.
Aggie: You're a liar, and you're a thief.
Amber: I know you don't like me very much.
Aggie: Understatement of the century.
Amber: Well, Oliver does.
Aggie: I did, too, Amber. I thought we were friends before I found out you were goin' after my man, and I realized you don't care about anyone or anything but yourself. Oliver, I know that you're lonely and things have not been right in your life since you and hope broke up, but shacking up with Amber? That's not the solution. In fact, it'll probably ruin any shot you have whatsoever of ever getting back together with Hope. Amber stole the designs from Hope with your help.
Oliver: I know that, all right? Hope understands that.
Aggie: Would she understand this? She tried to hurt the woman you love. Where is your loyalty, Oliver? You need Hope to believe that you are completely committed to her.
Aggie: No, it's not okay. Hope certainly would not think so.
Oliver: Okay. Okay. I get it, all right? Thank you for caring. But I need to be alone with Amber now.
Aggie: Not a good idea.
Oliver: I heard you, Aggie, all right? And I get where you're coming from. But this is my life, my decision.
Aggie: Make the right one.
Taylor: And the tension just kept building, and I could just feel Thomas pulling away from me. (Scoffs) I mean, given the things that I've been through with Brooke, though, it's--it's kind of understandable. But I hated that I couldn't communicate that to him. I couldn't help-- help him understand what I've been through with Brooke and my concern, or--or that he would-- I didn't know that he would even believe it, and so we just... kept getting further and further apart the more and more I tried to explain myself. (Sighs)
Ridge: Until today?
Taylor: Yeah, we-- we finally had a real talk, a very honest talk. It was a very grown-up talk.
Ridge: Because that's what he is now.
Taylor: I know. But he'll always be my little baby. You know that. (Sighs) And I know that I-I can't treat him like that anymore, though. Just like I know I... I can't go on treating Brooke like... like she's this evil person. What? Aren't you going to say, "I told you so"?
Ridge: (Laughs) No. No, I'm not. Taylor, you're a good mother. Nobody's gonna fault you for wanting to protect your child. I'm just very happy that you have finally realized you don't have to protect him from Brooke.
Taylor: I'm just so sorry that you got in the middle of it.
Ridge: It made things very uncomfortable for everybody. But you have taken a huge step now with this change in attitude. Now we can all move forward, for God sakes.
Ridge: But the only way we're all gonna be able to do that is if we all somehow just... end up trusting each other.
Taylor: I can-- I can do that. I mean, it's not going to be exactly easy for me with Brooke, but, you know, I just want to be honest with you. I'm just saying that I'm trying. I will try. I give you my word. (Chuckles)
Hope: Come on. Tell me your honest opinion. I want to know what you think. I can handle it.
Marcus: Well, I'm... (Sighs) I'm not exactly a critic or anything, but--but, no, I-it's gonna be a good speech, Hope. I mean, it makes you think.
Hope: Yeah. Yeah? It's not too preachy or anything?
Marcus: No, it's sincere. Look, I feel you. I mean, look, the things that Stephanie and Dayzee are doin' at the shelter down there, it really makes you inspired. I mean, here. I'm even inspired.
Hope: Right. M-me, too. I mean, that's what inspired me to write this speech. Really, I want to help people get involved. I see Stephanie down at the shelter doing so much good, and I just--I want to inspire other people to do that. Like--like, okay. Right here. Right here. "What if we all opened our eyes and our hearts a little wider? What if we could see ourselves as part of something larger? Every decision we make impacts our world-- the way we spend our money, the way we treat other people. It all matters. It can all make a difference, but first we need to wake up and see the big picture-- just how many people there are who need our help."
(Knock on door)
Hope: Oh. Oh, hey, Aggie.
Hope: It's just a speech I'm working on.
Marcus: Hey, the girl's got some big ideas.
Aggie: I'm impressed.
Marcus: Yeah, a lot of people will be.
Marcus: Look, I gotta run.
Marcus: It's great, all right?
Marcus: See you soon.
Aggie: Uh, I-I hope its okay that I just dropped by like this. Like, I told the guard. I-I think he thought I was here to see my brother.
Hope: Oh, a-are you not?
Aggie: No, I'm not. I'm here to see you.
Amber: I know you said this would happen. I just, um, I didn't think it would be so soon.
Oliver: I just said I wanted to talk.
Amber: Oh, come on, Oliver. I know what that means. I mean, your beloved big sister just told you I'm bad news. Does it really matter what more I have to say?
Oliver: Yeah, it does.
Amber: (Sighs) I ca-- I can't even defend myself. I mean, everything Aggie said about me is true.
Oliver: You don't have to defend yourself. We've already gone over this. I know why you stole Hope's designs. It's not an issue for me.
Amber: So that stuff, um, Aggie said about me being a liar and a thief...
Oliver: Her opinion. It's not mine.
Amber: 'Cause if I had to do it over again, I wouldn't.
Hope: You're here to see me? Why? W-what's up?
Aggie: I don't want to make you uncomfortable.
Hope: Oh, no, no. Oliver and I are still friends.
Aggie: Good, I'm glad.
Hope: Yeah, he's someone I will always care about.
Aggie: But I shouldn't waste my breath talking him up?
Hope: You're gonna be preaching to the choir.
Aggie: Well, if you're such a big fan, maybe the two of you still have a chance.
Oliver: Aggie's got the wrong idea about you, Amber.
Amber: Well... (Sighs) Can't really blame her. I kind of gave her that idea.
Oliver: You've made some mistakes. (Chuckles) But I have, too, and having you stay here wasn't one of them. It's actually been pretty nice.
Amber: Yeah. We've had a lot of fun.
Oliver: Pretty amazing, considering how bad things have been for me lately.
Amber: (Chuckles) I needed a friend, and so did you.
Oliver: We were lonely.
Amber: And we helped each other a lot. I pulled that trick on, uh, Liam so you could have more time with Hope.
Oliver: (Sighs) I'm sorry, Amber. I promised Hope I would do nothing else to hurt her, and having you stay here-- it's just not gonna work.
Amber: So you're asking me to leave?
Oliver: You can't be surprised. You already packed your bags.
Amber: That was just for show.
Oliver: Now it's for real.
Taylor: Now I'm not gung-ho about this Taboo line, okay? I'm--I'm not comfortable with what it implies or--or what it insinuates and what it's flirting with, but I am--I am trying to just trust what-- what you're doing, because I know you're backing it. I know you're in charge of it. I know it'll be fine. And--and that's why I'm not fighting it, okay?
Ridge: You are right. It is risky. But I think we're gonna have a lot of success with this Taboo line. I think it's gonna be a smash for us because Thomas was willing to take that risk.
Taylor: But is that how we really want to determine how we think about what's acceptable in life?
Ridge: Taylor, I give you my word. If things had been a little different, if your fears had been founded, my marriage would have been over. And there isn't anything Brooke could have said or done to save it.
Aggie: You said that you made up your mind, but Oliver told me that the two of you have kissed a few times.
Aggie: Y-you know, if you have any feelings left for him whatsoever, and I think that you do, please don't give up on him, Hope. You will never meet a better guy, and Oliver needs you right now more than ever.
Amber: Come on, Oliver. You don't really want to kick me out.
Oliver: I really want a future with Hope.
Amber: And I'm cool with that.
Oliver: You staying here could make that impossible. She wouldn't understand.
Amber: Kicking me out is not gonna solve your problem, Oliver. I mean, Hope, she could still find out that I was here. And--and what if she found out after I was gone? That would be worse, wouldn't it? I mean, if she found out after you told me to leave, then she would wonder, why did I have to go if nothing was going on between us?
Oliver: That's a chance I'll have to take.
Amber: (Sighs) But you-- you can't put me out, Oliver. I-I came to you because I didn't have anywhere else to go.
Oliver: I know it seems like I'm being a jerk, but this is the way it has to be. Hope is my number one priority.
Amber: Hope doesn't appreciate you. She doesn't realize how special you are. You took me in when no one else in this world would even talk to me. The one person that I hurt more than anyone in this world opened up his heart and his home to me. Yeah, I mean, we joke about it. We say, "We're havin' so much fun. It's all just fun and games." But it's more than that. I need you, Oliver. (Sighs) Listen, I understand that you want to get Hope back, that you're committed to getting Hope back. I get it. I'm not gonna mess that up. Please, Oliver. Don't make me go.
Taylor: (Laughs) Brooke has done a lot of questionable things, and you always forgive her.
Ridge: I'm not saying anything like that would ever happen.
Taylor: But if it did?
Ridge: It'd be over. Oh, you don't believe me?
Taylor: That just sounds shocking coming out of your mouth.
Ridge: Some lines can't be crossed.
Taylor: Oh, I agree.
Ridge: I think Brooke understands that completely now, too. That's why I felt it was okay to run with this Taboo campaign. My family has seen its last scandal. There will be no more.
Taylor: Oh, you've said that before. (Sighs)
Ridge: Look, you had a very honest, open talk with Thomas about all this. I did the same with Brooke. I made it very clear to her that another scandal would be the last straw.
Taylor: I'm gonna hold you to that one.
Ridge: You won't have to. But you already knew that, didn't you? That's why you invited me here today.
Taylor: Maybe because I've missed you.
Ridge: We don't do this enough.
Taylor: (Laughs) Really? It feels like there's a crisis every other week.
Ridge: Well, I mean talk honestly, openly like we used to.
Taylor: We've always been so good at that.
Ridge: Among other things. I wouldn't trade our years together for anything.
Taylor: Neither would I, Ridge.
Ridge: I know we're not married anymore, but you will always be one of the most important people in my life, and not just because of our kids. It's because we have a history, a very special connection. It's like we can depend on each other. I meant what I said. There can be no more scandals in my family. If anything were to happen between our son and my wife, my marriage would be over. I would take flight to safety... straight to you.
