Stephanie: I knew I couldn't trust you. Who else did you tell?
Brooke: No one.
Taylor: No one. I haven't said anything to anybody. I promised Brooke that I wouldn't, but Stephanie, please--
Stephanie: No, I'm not-- I'm not gonna change my mind. I'm going to do this my way. Now, Honey, I love you. You're like a daughter to me. You know that. Please help me keep this secret.
Liam: Now I'm ready to go see my dad. (Claps)
Hope: (Laughs) Well, I'm glad to be of service.
Liam: So I... (Sighs) I wrote up my first interview with Steffy.
Liam: E-mailed it to him.
Hope: He's gonna love it.
Liam: I don't--I Hope so. I mean, this feature I'm doing on her is huge. It's a 10-page spread. If I screw this up, I-I'm going back to the mail room.
Hope: Is, uh, is--is Steffy behaving herself?
Liam: (Laughs) She--uh, she's trying not to.
Liam: But I think that's-- that's just Steffy. She's not really throwing herself at me. That's just... how she is.
Hope: You think there's more to her? I think there is.
Liam: Well, that's cool of you, considering everything she's put you through.
Hope: Well, I don't know. I mean, I guess if I were insecure about it, then I would feel different. But I'm not. I mean, it's obvious that she's looking for something, and I just think it's too bad that she's looking in all the wrong places.
Liam: I gotta go.
Liam: Wish me luck.
Hope: All right. Good luck. (Giggles)
(Knock on door)
Bill: Come in.
Bill: Must have been monotonous.
Bill: Your first interview with Steffy. It would seem she didn't model any of her lingerie for you.
Liam: Oh, yes, she did.
Bill: And this is what you came up with?
Liam: What's wrong with it?
Bill: Well, nothing, except for the fact that it's the equivalent of driving across Nebraska-- long and boring.
Liam: Oh. (Sighs)
Bill: It reads like a-- like a textbook. You even have a bar graph.
Liam: Yeah. I mean, I wanted to show her sales figures.
Bill: The only figure I'm interested in is Steffy’s.
Liam: It's just a couple of numbers. Come on.
Bill: The wrong numbers. 36-24-36-- those are the numbers I'm talking about, Hemingway.
Stephanie: (Coughing) Are we clear? We're not going to tell anyone. (Coughs)
Taylor: Fine. We promise. But please, then, just get medical treatment.
Stephanie: I don't want medical treatment.
Taylor: That's not an option, Stephanie.
Stephanie: It's my wish, and I expect you to respect it. Now you see what you've done?
Stephanie: You've caused trouble again. (Sighs)
Taylor: You're just depressed. That's all this is. That's part of it. I can help you with that if you let me. Please, just let me.
Liam: (Sighs) So I take it you don't find this informative, interesting, intellectually stimulating?
Bill: Intellectual is not the kind of stimulation I'm looking for. You're doing a piece on Steffy Forrester, not some college professor.
Liam: Yeah. What do you want, soft porn?
Bill: (Sighs) Liam, Son, we are in business. The reason we're in business is to make money. The easiest way to make money-- three letters, three-- s-e-s.
Liam: Oh, jeez.
Bill: You know what? I'm gonna have to get somebody else to finish this piece.
Liam: Whoa. Hey. No, no, no.
Bill: Can you give me what I want?
Liam: Dad-- Dad, I've been writing my whole life.
Bill: I know. You have been the editor of your college newspaper, but this ain't college.
Liam: Okay. I just don't think we should treat her like a sex object. I mean, she's a successful, dynamic businesswoman.
Bill: She is a hot piece of tail, that's what she is. She's sexy. She's provocative. Look at the line I changed at the bottom of the page.
Liam: "With Steffy’s perfect body poised right in front of"--
Bill: (Chuckles) There you go, all right? See how that rolls off your tongue? That creates a beautiful visualization for you. Can you give me that?
Liam: Yeah, I'll try.
Bill: Well, if you can, we're good. If you can't, then that is not good enough. This is your final interview with Steffy. You have to give the readers something they can get excited about. Don't squander this opportunity, Liam.
Liam: I won’t. I won’t. (Sighs)
(Door opens) (Door closes)
Stephanie: I'm not depressed. I'm actually having the time of my life.
Brooke: You are in denial, Stephanie.
Stephanie: I'm not in denial. I just don't have time to waste on false Hope. And I do understand my prognosis, Taylor.
Taylor: Okay. If you know that, then you know if it's left untreated, you won't be going out partying.
Taylor: You'll be in pain. You'll be suffering. You'll be barely able to breathe. I can already tell you're sick. I can see it now. I can see you're getting weaker.
Taylor: Stephanie, please, let me help you, okay? I can do that.
Stephanie: You've been so sweet, such a sweet friend to me all these years. You've given me so much joy and happiness. You know, the way-- the way you loved Ridge, the beautiful grandchildren you gave me... (Coughs) Excuse me. (Coughs) (Sighs) I was very proud to have you as my daughter-in-law.
Taylor: Will you stop this? Okay? Do you really expect me to just sit by and watch someone I love die a slow miserable death? I can't do that. I won't do that. Stephanie, please. You're gonna fight this, and I want to be right there by your side.
(Knock on door)
Steffy: Come in.
Liam: Hey. Good, you're ready. I want to--let's get started. Um, I want some shots of you sitting behind your desk, so what are you wearing under that?
Liam: Perfect. Very perfect. Sit behind your desk. Just pretend to work.
Steffy: In lingerie?
Liam: Mm-hmm. I want to paint a picture here. I want to make a connection-- beautiful, provocative businesswoman responsible for a highly successful bedroom line. Do you have glasses?
Steffy: Yeah. Uh, yeah, I do. I think they are just over here. Set--here they are.
Liam: (Laughs) Put 'em on.
Liam: Look at that. I like it!
Liam: I like--Bryce, what do you think?
(Camera shutter clicking)
Bryce: No, hot. Very hot.
("Good girl" playing) Stop being a good girl stop being a good girl if you show what you got then you get what you want want, want, want stop being a good girl when you show what you got then you get what you want stop being a good girl stop being a good girl.
Hope: Hey. Lookin' good.
Hope: I'm sorry. I don't want to stop you or anything.
Oliver: I'm almost done. (Sighs)
Hope: You've been working out a lot lately.
Oliver: (Chuckles) It feels good.
Oliver: How are things with you and Liam?
Oliver: I hear he's taking meetings with Steffy.
Hope: Yeah. He's, uh, he's down there right now.
Oliver: I bet he has his hands full. She can be pretty persuasive.
Hope: I--hey, I can be pretty persuasive myself.
Oliver: Oh, really?
Hope: Yes, really. (Chuckles)
Oliver: You're killing me-- that smile.
Hope: Sorry. (Chuckles)
Oliver: I'm kidding.
Hope: I know.
Oliver: But I'm not kidding about this-- I want you back. It might be a couple of months. It might be a year. But I usually get what I want...
Oliver: Especially when it's something as important as you.
Liam: Thanks a lot, Bryce. Uh, you--you can, uh, put your robe back on.
Steffy: Mm, no thanks. It's hot in here.
Liam: Yeah, you're not making it any cooler.
Steffy: You know, there's something about you. You're different today.
Liam: (Chuckles) Yeah, well, my dad read me the riot act.
Steffy: Mm. He didn't like your first installment?
Liam: No. Too dry. Too informative.
Steffy: Well, you know, maybe he's right. I mean, what are you really gonna say about this piece?
Liam: (Laughs) Steffy, I'm writing this article about you, not just your bedroom line, and I happen to think that it's got a whole lot more to it than sex.
Steffy: Well, I'm not sure that's what your father's gonna want.
Liam: No. No. He wants a turn-on piece wit a lot of heat and a whole lot more skin.
Steffy: Well, maybe we can give him both.
Stephanie: You've been so sweet to me. But there isn't anything that you can do for me now.
Brooke: Stephanie, that's nonsense.
Brooke: You haven't even looked into the various treatments.
Taylor: We have to be aggressive, and I want to make some calls for you.
Stephanie: No, you won’t.
Taylor: You haven't even begun to fight.
Stephanie: (Coughing) Why won't you... (Coughing) Listen to me?
Stephanie: Why won't you hear what I'm saying? (Sighs) I've had a great run. But all things come to an end, and this is my time. (Coughs)
Taylor: Who is this in the room? I have no idea who you are right now. You're acting like you don't have any reason to live.
Stephanie: Well, I don’t.
Taylor: Oh, really? Really? You don't have a reason to live? I'll give you one. Me. What about me, Stephanie? I love you. I love you. I'm not ready to lose my best friend. I'm not. I'm--I'll never be ready for that.
Stephanie: (Pats Taylor’s knee) Honey, you'll be fine. A person has to know when to--to exit gracefully. I mean, why--why drag on with a life that, yes, has been rich and full, but doesn't matter any more?
Taylor: No. No. No. No. No. No.
Stephanie: End of discussion. I--end of discussion. I-I've got things to do.
Brooke: (Scoffs) Where are you going?
Stephanie: I'm going to go and take a ride with the angels.
Taylor: Great. I'm coming with you.
Brooke: Oh. (Scoffs)
Stephanie: Oh, God, now I've got two of them.
Hope: You're a good guy, Oliver. You'll find another girl.
Oliver: I already have one. She just doesn't realize it yet.
Hope: (Sighs) I am with Liam now.
Oliver: So I wait. And I will. You're worth it.
Steffy: Liam, I want this exclusive to be your big break. But sexy, provocative Steffy-- that's what's gonna sell, so whatever you write down, that's gotta be your top note. Hide all the serious stuff underneath. Look, you promoted the Hollywood glamour campaign, the Royalty line. I know what the fashion world wants. And--and I know you can do it, all right? You are an excellent writer. You know, you just gotta spice it up a little bit, all right? If you do that, your dad's really gonna love it.
Liam: Why are you taking me on? I mean, I feel like I'm... your project.
Steffy: I don't-- I-I like you. And I think you're charming and, with the right woman...
Steffy: I think you could be an incredibly sexy--
Steffy: I know. I know I'm not that woman. But, you know, actually, maybe I should pack up one of my designs for you. You know, you could take it home to Hope, and she can model it for you.
Liam: (Scoffs) (Laughs) Okay.
Steffy: Oh, snap! I forgot! She's a good girl, and she won't be wearing this anytime soon.
Hope: Hello? Hey, Guys.
Hope: Hey. How's it going, Steffy? Uh, you two putting some great things together?
Liam: Yeah, I think so. We're just about to wrap up.
Steffy: Yeah. Yeah. The interview's done. It's gonna be a great piece. You know, I want that for Liam, and I know you do, too.
Hope: Well, I'm, um, just glad you're finished.
Steffy: Well, I suppose I should get dressed.
Hope: Good idea.
Steffy: Oh, by the way, you know that job my dad offered me at International?
Steffy: I'm taking it.
Liam: You're going to International?
Hope: You are?!
Steffy: Yeah, for a while, so I am gonna be out of your hair, all right? Liam is all yours. Oliver is yours. There is no competition, 'cause I'm gonna be living it up in Paris when I leave tonight.
Hope: Wow, tonight.
Hope: That's really fast.
Steffy: Yeah. Wait. Do you have a problem with that?
Hope: Uh, nope. No.
Steffy: Of course not. Uh-huh. You know, Liam is a great guy, and if I were still here, I would probably make a play for him. But obviously, he's committed to you, so...
Hope: Well, thank you, Steffy.
Hope: I-I really do-- I hope that you have a wonderful trip.
Steffy: Thank you.
Oliver: Steffy's giving up? Not me-- I'm not giving up on Hope.
Brooke: What are we doing here, Stephanie?
Stephanie: I am going to take a ride on this beautiful little funicular. It's called the angels flight, and it's something that I've always wanted to do.
Taylor: Stephanie, this is not something you need to be doing right now.
Stephanie: (Coughs) They say that when you exit at the top, you’re a step closer to heaven. (Coughs)
Taylor: Stop talking like this. You are not giving up.
Brooke: It's not like you. You never quit without a fight.
Stephanie: A step closer to heaven-- I like the sound of that.
