Stephanie: You admit it! You tell me the truth! You set my granddaughter up!

Liam: Whoa! Mrs. Forrester, I--

Stephanie: No, you did. Now you come clean. You tell me right now what you did!

Steffy: I prefer to keep my father's name out of this.

Bill: I just can't imagine. He thinks you're lying to his face.

Steffy: Well, the evidence is pretty damning, so...

Bill: I assume you're determined to do what you have to to clear your name.

Steffy: I tried. It's a dead end. My computer, my voice-- end of story, not that it matters.

Bill: Why would you say that?

Steffy: You know, even if I could prove to my dad that I was innocent, it doesn't change anything. I have to change my attitude about Brooke, and if I do that, then I really will be lying.

Taylor: Our daughter is heartbroken because she... she thinks that you think she's lying about this tribute. I can see it in your eyes. You're having second thoughts. I know you want to believe in her, Ridge. So just go tell her. Go tell her that you believe her, please.

Aggie: Dude, they're still out there.

Oliver: They follow me wherever I go.

Aggie: I've always wondered what it would be like to be hounded by reporters.

Oliver: It's not fun, not when you're at the center of a scandal.

Aggie: So what are you working on there?

Oliver: I'm putting together something for Hope.

Aggie: I thought she broke up with you.

Oliver: She did. I'm hoping this will change that.

Hope: (Sighs) Okay, this is where you and my mother, um... yeah, only--only you thought that she was me, and she thought that you were Dad. And I can't stop wondering how that could possibly be.

Madison: How are you holdin' up, girl?

Hope: I'm hangin' in. (Sighs)

Madison: Hey, this is me.

Hope: (Sighs) I, uh, I thought he knew me, you know? I thought he understood, but I-I was wrong. I mean, I-I still love Oliver a lot, you know? But I-I can't be with him, not now.

Aggie: What is it that you're putting together?

Oliver: A video for Hope.

Aggie: A video of what?

Oliver: How much she means to me, all the reasons we should still be together.

Madison: Hope, if you still love him--

Hope: I know. I know. I-I should be able to forgive him. I've tried. But I-I can't.

Madison: He says it was unintentional.

Hope: Yeah, I know. You know, people say that-- that you always remember your first love. You know, well, what do I have to remember? (Scoffs) My mother and my boyfriend betraying me.

Ridge: I want to go to Steffy. I want to put all this behind us, but how can I?

Taylor: You make a leap of faith.

Ridge: So in other words, just lie to myself, pretend she had nothing at all to do with that part of the tribute.

Taylor: No, you believe she had nothing to do with it.

Ridge: How is this so easy for you?

Taylor: Because I'm her mother, and when I look into her eyes, and she tells me she didn't do it, I believe her.

Ridge: Despite all the evidence out there?

Taylor: The look in her eyes is enough for me. That's all I need, and it should be enough for you.

Steffy: So even if I could prove to my dad that someone sabotaged my computer, there's still the issue of Brooke.

Bill: Well, it seems pretty harsh asking you to embrace a woman who did what she did with her daughter's boyfriend.

Steffy: You know, it's--it's not so much that. Brooke can do whatever she wants. But it's my dad. It's--it's my father. He puts so much of himself into that relationship. And then she goes off, and she does something like this, a-and he forgives her instantly. After everything else she's done, he forgives her, and he fires me for something that I didn't do.

Bill: You have too much going for you, Steffy, to let something like this stop you.

Steffy: Bill, I have nothing going for me if my own dad thinks I'm a liar.

Bill: Well, then stop living for your father's approval and start living for Steffy. You have so much to offer the world.

Steffy: I do, huh?

Bill: Yes, you do. And I can help you make a new start, Steffy. I'd like to.

Stephanie: Tell the truth! How did you cha--you cha--- you changed what she wrote!

Liam: Whoa! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait!

Stephanie: You did! You were in her office. You had access to that computer.

Liam: Yeah, but that doesn't mean that I--

Stephanie: Stop the B.S.! You work for Bill Spencer. It all fits. Now you tell me the truth.

Liam: Mrs. Forrester, I gotta go. What, you--you gonna, like, hold me hostage or s--

Stephanie: I could have your kneecaps broken for you. Don't think I'm not capable of that. This is my family. I will do anything to protect them, and believe me when I tell you you have no place to turn, no place to run.

Liam: (Stammers)

Stephanie: I will find you.

Liam: Okay. I know what happened. But it wasn't me.

Stephanie: I knew it. Get your stuff.

Liam: (Sighs)

(Door opens)

Liam: (Sighs) Jeez.

Stephanie: Get out there.

Liam: Whoa! Whoa! Ow! Ow!

Steffy: How are you gonna do that, Bill? How are you gonna help me make a new start?

Bill: Easy.

Steffy: Hmm?

Bill: You're beautiful, intelligent, talented. The future of Forrester Creations should be in your hands, but it won't be, not ever, because of Brooke and your father's blind loyalty to her. Steffy, you need to walk away, start over, create your own legacy.

Steffy: Oh, that's all? (Sighs)

Bill: You can do it.

Steffy: With your help.

Bill: Yes. Because I can make you a very rich woman.

Stephanie: Good. You're alone. Get over there.

Ridge: Hey, Mother, what's going on?

Stephanie: This is Liam. He works, uh, I.T., and we hired him to work on Steffy's computer.

Ridge: Go on.

Stephanie: He also works for Bill Spencer.

Ridge: And?

Stephanie: He is the person responsible for tampering with the tribute. Your daughter's been telling you the truth all along. She had absolutely nothing to do with it, but he did, and now he's gonna tell you the whole story, aren't you?

Oliver: (Sighs) There it goes, off to Hope's e-mail at Forrester.

Aggie: Oliver, are you sure she's even gonna open it?

Oliver: I don't know. Maybe not when she sees it's from me.

Hope: (Sighs) (Sighs) Hmm, who left all these messages?

(Telephone buttons beeping)

Hope: Oh, my God. Delete. (Sighs) (Scoffs) Yeah. Will they ever stop calling? (Sighs)

(Jason Castro's "That's What I'm Here For" playing)

Jason: That's what I'm here for that's what I'm here for that's what I'm here for when you need a little less or you want a little more when you need someone to find you when you're hiding from it all that's what I'm here for that's what I'm here for that's what I'm here for yeah

Steffy: So you're going to make me a very rich woman. Hmm. I wonder what that's gonna cost.

Bill: Let's just say you're one of those special people in my life.

Steffy: You're my benefactor now?

Bill: I can make a lot of things happen for you, Steffy. I already have.

Steffy: That's true. That's true. You gave me one glowing moment of triumph when I handed the company back to my father.

Bill: Well, I didn't exactly give it to you. You forced it out of me.

Steffy: (Chuckles) And you hate me for that.

Bill: Hate you? How could I hate someone as beautiful, talented and so much like me as you are, Steffy?

Steffy: Drives you a little crazy, doesn't it?

Ridge: You changed my daughter's tribute to Brooke?

Stephanie: On Spencer's directive, no doubt.

Ridge: I remember you now. You were in the office working on the computers the night I had that meeting with Steffy about the tribute.

Liam: Yeah, you-- I mean, you asked me to leave, and I did.

Ridge: Only you set it to record, didn't you? You set it to record everything Steffy and I were talking about.

Liam: No, I didn't do it on purpose.

Ridge: How did I not put this together? It was all there in her old laptop. You used that as a remote access. You edited all that stuff into the tribute. That's what you did, didn't you?

Liam: No, that--that's-- yes, that's how it was done, but it wasn't me.

Stephanie: Oh, don't deny it. You did it, and you know it.

Ridge: Oh, my God. Steffy's been telling the truth all along. She had nothing to do with it. It was you.

Liam: No. No, it wasn't me.

Ridge: What did Spencer promise you? A better job? A raise?

Liam: Spence-- he didn't--he didn't even know.

Ridge: Oh, don't give me that.

Liam: No, he didn't. It was somebody else.

Ridge: Who was it?

Liam: It--I--

Ridge: Who was it?

Liam: It was Justin Barber.

Ridge: Justin? Justin?

Liam: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was--I was working on Steffy's old laptop. She hired me to wipe all the files and recycle, and when I realized what I accidentally picked up, I-I was, you know, I was gonna delete it, but Justin already overheard the whole thing and--and...

Ridge: So that's why he was at the tribute.

Stephanie: Mm-hmm.

Ridge: All this time, I've been accusing my daughter of lying. She told me over and over she didn't do it, but I didn't believe her, 'cause it was you. You kept the truth hidden from all of us. You knew, and you kept it to yourself. I rejected my daughter for something she didn't do? You did that to me! You did that to us.

(Knock on door)

Oliver: I know you're in there, Hope. Open the door. I'm not leaving.

Hope: (Sighs) (Clears throat) (Sighs)

Oliver: It's not-- it's not over. I won't let it be.

Steffy: What do you want from me, Bill? Or do I even have to ask?

Bill: Sell me your shares of Forrester Creations.

Steffy: Wow, you are not wasting any time.

Bill: Well, who's got time to waste? Not me. Certainly not you.

Steffy: Seems like the only thing I have now is time.

Bill: Because your father kicked you out of a company he wouldn't even have if it weren't for you.

Steffy: Thank you. Thank you for reminding me.

Bill: Steffy, it is time for you to move on. Look, even if your father invited you back to the company, you'd still be banging heads with Brooke, and you would still have to deal with her daughter. Is that what you want?

Steffy: That's not how I planned it to be, Bill.

Bill: Well, then sooner or later, you're gonna have to accept it. Brooke and her daughter will always have a greater influence over your father than you ever will.

Bill: I know that's painful, and I also know that it sounds self-serving coming from me.

Steffy: Because your agenda is to get your hands on my stock.

Bill: That's part of it. But there's more to it than that. You have tremendous business savvy and the ambition to back that up and do some great things. But your father doesn't see that. If he did, he wouldn't have set you adrift. So do it, Steffy. Take the very generous package that I'm offering you and start your own dynasty.

Steffy: Wha-- what? This is a generous package, I'll say. You're offering me twice what the stock is worth? (Sighs) After all the effort I put in to get this company away from you. Wow. You just think I'd give it right back?

Bill: You're not exactly giving it back.

Steffy: I'm sorry, Dollar Bill. You thought you had me, didn't you? But no. I don't even want to think about selling my part of the company right now. First things first-- I have to clear my name.

Bill: It's that important to you?

Steffy: Yes. I can't stand knowing that my dad thinks I betrayed him. You know, I would do anything, anything if I could just find some kind of proof to convince him that I'm innocent.

Bill: Anything?

Steffy: Yes.

Bill: I know you didn't do it, and I can prove it.

Steffy: Wait. How?

Bill: Because I know who did. It was one of my men... without my authorization. You deserve to know the truth, Steffy. And you deserve to clear your name. I can do that for you.

Liam: I-I feel horrible about this.

Ridge: I don't give a damn how you feel.

Stephanie: You've made my granddaughter's life a nightmare.

Liam: No, no, it wasn't me. I told you.

Stephanie: But you knew the truth, Liam. You should have spoken up and put a stop to it!

Liam: All right, I'm sorry! Okay? I'm really sorry. I hated myself for what I did, okay?

Ridge: I don't want to hear your excuses. I broke my daughter's heart over this. I took away the two things that mattered most to her-- her job and my trust.

Liam: Okay. Okay. So give me a chance to make it right.

Ridge: Make it right? Do you have any idea what you've done here? Do have any idea what you've cost me? You hurt my daughter. You hurt my wife. You hurt my family.

Liam: Don't hit me! I'm your son.

Stephanie: What did you say?

Liam: I'm your son.
