Ridge: Okay, whatever this is about, I want you to get it off your chest right now.
Ridge: Now you said this was, uh, a mistake.
Brooke: Yes, Ridge, a horrible mistake.
Ridge: You know, very often, these kind of things are not really as bad as they may seem at that moment.
Brooke: (Sighs) This is, and I'm just praying that you can forgive me.
Ridge: You've been carrying this around a while.
Brooke: Ever since the night of Hope's graduation party. I was hoping that it would go away on its own, but it won't.
Ridge: And why are you deciding to tell me now?
Brooke: Because if I don't tell you, your daughter will. (Sighs) And I really think you should hear this from me.
Ridge: Steffy? What does this have to do with her?
Steffy: Mm, push everything back to the afternoon. I want tomorrow morning clear. We might be having a little in-house celebration.
Madison: Oh, champagne? Food?
Steffy: You know, I'd have a little bit of both on hand.
Madison: Okay, I will clear your schedule. Do you want the press there?
Steffy: You know, I'll take care of the press.
Stephanie: Wow. This is getting bigger and bigger by the moment.
Steffy: The official end of the Logan occupation.
(Knock on door)
Taylor: How are you? Good to see you.
Steffy: Oh, my God, you look great. I missed you, too.
Stephanie: Hi, honey. How was the conference?
Taylor: Mm, okay. It was pretty good--a great place to have a Gamblers Anonymous lecture. Very good.
Steffy: Well, Mom, you are now standing in a Logan-free zone. As we speak, Donna is giving back her share of Forrester Creations.
Taylor: When did this happen? And what? What, Brooke allowed this?
Stephanie: No, the genius here.
Stephanie: She's the one. She orchestrated the entire thing. And, yes, Brooke, in a way, allowed it, because she resigned. They're all gone, for the first time since I can, I don't know, remember.
Taylor: I guess I need to go out of town more often. What--how did this happen?
Stephanie: It's her secret, and she won't tell.
Steffy: Well, it's better off that you guys don't know.
Stephanie: Oh, oh, oh.
Taylor: Okay, I-is Hope part of this? Is she gone, too?
Steffy: Actually, she's leaving tomorrow for Boston.
Taylor: She accepted her scholarship.
Steffy: Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Taylor: And what happened to the Hope for the Future campaign?
Steffy: Mm, it's in the past, just like the rest of the Logans.
Hope: Mm. (Sighs) Oh, I'm so gonna miss you.
Oliver: Don't think about that. You're going out there to focus on your classes.
Hope: Oh, right. Don't think about the one thing that's most important in my life.
Oliver: This isn't gonna work if you go out to Boston and all you think about is me. I don't want you putting your life on hold. That's not why you're going away to school.
Hope: Then remind me again, Oliver. (Sighs) Why am I going away? Because all I want to do is stay right here with you. (Sighs)
Ridge: Whatever you're trying to tell me here, Steffy's involved? How?
Brooke: (Sighs) She's--she's trying to get rid of me. That's why I had to resign from Forrester.
Ridge: There's more to this than you've been admitting to me. I can hear that.
Brooke: Yes. (Sighs)
Ridge: Okay. Tell me what it is.
Brooke: Well, she threatened to do something if I didn't leave Forrester.
Ridge: What would she threaten you with?
Brooke: (Sighs) She wanted to talk to Stephanie and create some big scandal, and of course, I couldn't let that happen, because it would hurt Hope.
Ridge: Scandal involving Hope now?
Brooke: Yes. (Sighs)
Ridge: Is it something she did?
Brooke: No. No. It was something I did.
Stephanie: I have an announcement to make. Seeing, uh, as you have done so much for this company, worked really hard, I thought it would be a good idea for you to have this office. Welcome to your new digs.
Steffy: Wait. Ser--seriously?
Stephanie: Honey, you've earned it.
Taylor: I agree. I agree. You've been able to do what nobody else has been able to do, bring this family and this company back to what it used to be-- a company owned and operated by one of the world's great fashion families. This is your family, Steffy.
Steffy: Oh, my God, Mom.
Taylor: Of course, you deserve it.
Hope: (Sighs) this is gonna be harder than I thought. (Sighs) Being apart from you, it's just--
Oliver: I wish it didn't have to be this way, but it's necessary... (Sighs) For you, Hope. You've gotta be able to stand on your own, and you'll be able to do that a lot easier in Boston than here.
Hope: I can stand on my own. I'm not dependant on you. I mean, is that what you think?
Oliver: Sometimes I wonder if it isn't the other way around. I mean, I look at you, and I don't know how I'm gonna do it. I can't imagine not seeing this face... and those eyes... and kissing you.
Hope: Oh. God, you make it sound like it's going to be forever. It's not. Is it?
Brooke: The reason that Hope is going off to college is because I encouraged her, Oliver and I.
Ridge: Because you both care about her. You thought that was best. But the scandal you're talking about...
Brooke: We were trying to protect her. That's why she had to get out of town.
Ridge: Protect her from what?
Brooke: Steffy. (Sighs)
Ridge: Steffy? God. I really wish the two of you could resolve your differences.
Brooke: Yeah. I wish that, too. After what happened with Rick, I was hoping that another one of our children would never come between us again.
Ridge: Logan, look, I b--I-I believe that we can resolve any of our differences here if we just are honest and open with each other, all right? Now just tell me what it is you're having such difficulty saying.
Brooke: The night of the graduation party, uh... everybody just kind of looked the same, you know? Everybody was wearing masks, and you were wearing the same jacket that Oliver was wearing. And Hope and I, we had the same dresses on. And... (Sighs) The music was blaring and... (Sighs) And it was just very exciting, but also at the same time, it was very confusing. It was hard to tell who was who. And then Marcus came up, and he gave me Hope's necklace, the one that Oliver gave her, and he wanted me to give it to her when I saw her, and I--of course, I didn't have any pockets, so I just... (Sighs) I put it on.
Ridge: Okay, w-wait. You're--you're losing me here. What--keep going. What's going on?
Brooke: Well, then Daddy Yankee started playing "Pose." You know that song and what it does to me. And it reminded me of when we were in the steam room earlier, when we couldn't really finish what we started.
Ridge: The steam room? Brooke, I don't understand. What does the steam room have to do with all this?
Brooke: I don't know. I-I'm just trying to explain. Uh, we were in the steam room, and we were about to make love, and we had to stop because we had to get ready for the graduation party, and I just wanted you so badly. And then later on the dance floor, it-- (Sighs) I'm sorry. I just... (Sighs) I don't know what really happened, Ridge. But I-I made a horrible mistake, and it's something that I'm hoping you can understand, and something you can forgive me for.
Hope: It's not forever. It's not. It just seems that way. We are going to be fine. I am not gonna lose you just because I'm going off to college. Um, I do have one request, though.
Hope: I want you to stay away from Steffy.
Steffy: Wait, a-are you sure Dad's gonna be okay with this? Giving me this office?
Stephanie: Oh, I'm certain that he feels it's long overdue, as well.
Steffy: I just want to make him proud. That's all I've ever wanted to do.
Taylor: Of course, you will. You always do. All right, I have to get back and unpack. I haven't even seen my husband yet.
Stephanie: (Chuckles) I'm glad to have you home.
Taylor: Well, I'm glad to see the two of you all happy and successful. I'll talk to you tomorrow.
Steffy: Bye, Mom.
Stephanie: (Chuckles) Your mother's so proud of you. So am I. You've turned out to be a wonderful young woman. I have a gift for you, Steff. I hope you like it. It, um, kind of represents, for me, what I would like to think this family is about-- loyalty, integrity, honesty, love of family.
Steffy: Oh, my God.
Stephanie: Well, you accomplished what I... (Laughs) I never could. You got rid of Brooke and her family. Maybe one of these days, your father will be free of her, too.
Steffy: Oh, Grandma.
Stephanie: Love you, hon.
Steffy: I love you so much.
Ridge: Something happened on the dance floor at Hope's party?
Brooke: We were dancing, and the music carried us away, and I whispered, "I'm ready."
Ridge: You did? And then I took your hand and led you outside, and we made love.
Ridge: (Laughs) Logan, I'm--I'm sorry. I-I don't remember any of that.
Brooke: No. No, you don't, Ridge... because it wasn't you. I wish it was, but it wasn't.
Ridge: It was someone else? Who?
Brooke: We were all wearing masks. It was like I said. You had on the same jacket that he did, and I was wearing Hope's necklace, and she and I were wearing the same dresses, and he thought I was Hope, and I thought he was you.
Ridge: (Chuckles) Wait a minute. Wait. Hold on. You're not trying to tell me that you... you're not really saying that you and--you--
Brooke: Hope and Oliver had this agreement that when they were ready to be intimate, that she would say those very words-- "I'm ready."
Ridge: You thought that Oliver was me?
Ridge: And the two of you went--went outside together?
Brooke: (Sobs) Yes.
Ridge: Oh, my God. Logan...
Ridge: You and Oliver?
Ridge: You and your daughter's boyfriend?
Stephanie: I have to go. I have things to do, and you've gotta get settled in here. Get rid of all this stuff that belongs to Rick, please.
Steffy: It's a whole new world around here, isn't it?
Stephanie: I wish you would tell me what you've got on Brooke. I know you won't, but I wish you would. I'm willing to bet that it's sexual.
Steffy: Grandma, she and her family are leaving. That's all that matters. Hope goes to Boston. Brooke goes home. And I've outwitted them. They'll never be a problem for us again.
Hope: I want you to stay away from Steffy while I'm gone.
Oliver: We work it the same building.
Hope: Yeah, I know. That's--that's not really what I mean. Look, I just don't trust her. I know she's gonna be hitting on you every chance that she gets. I trust you, though. I know that you will always be true to me. You know? You would never do anything to hurt me.
Brooke: Ridge, we never took off the masks. I had no idea it was Oliver, and he had no idea it was me, and it just happened so fast. Please, say something.
Ridge: All this at a high school graduation party? Your daughter's graduation party while we were supposed to be chaperoning?
Brooke: I know. I know. I was so inappropriate.
Ridge: "Inappropriate"? Logan, inap-- having a few drinks would have been inappropriate, but this?
Brooke: I'm sorry. I really thought it was you.
Ridge: But it was your daughter's boyfriend.
Brooke: Yes. Yes, it was.
Brooke: And I-- I didn't even realize that until the next day. You've gotta believe me. This wasn't intentional. Now I know that doesn't excuse me, especially after what happened with Bridget years ago, and now this has to happen with Hope? I mean, it just seems so...
Brooke: Look, I... (sighs) I know that you're probably angry, 'cause I promised you I wouldn't do anything scandalous, and here I am, actually hurting the two people that I love the most. I wanted to keep it a secret, because it was a mistake, but then, of course, Steffy found out, and she wanted to tell Stephanie and the whole world. So I had to do something for her. I had to leave Forrester Creations, and I had to get my daughter out of town, go to college. But that doesn't really matter anymore, because Steffy is making more demands. She's gonna hold this over my head forever. It was a horrible, horrible mistake, Ridge. I would never want to do anything to betray you or betray my daughter. You have to know that about me. Don't you?
Ridge: You and your daughter's boyfriend.
Brooke: I know. I know you're mortified, but it's the truth.
Ridge: You know, as far-fetched as this seems, and it does seem far-fetched, this is the kind of thing... that only happens to you.
Brooke: (Sighs) So this is too much for you to forgive?
Brooke: I pushed you too far, and I'm sorry. I would never want to do anything to hurt you.
Ridge: Logan, who else would get themselves in a mess like this except... (Scoffs) Except you? (Sighs) My Logan.
Brooke: You forgive me?
Ridge: Oh, God.
Brooke: I didn't want to lose you.
Ridge: You're not gonna lose me. Do you understand? You're not gonna lose me.
Brooke: (Sighs) (Sniffles) Your love and your trust and your faith in me-- that is the greatest gift that a man could give a woman. And I know you've been so patient with me. You always stand up for me and always defend me. You understand me more than anybody else in this world. And I can truly say this now-- that you are my destiny. I love you. I love you so much.
Ridge: Oh, Logan. What am I gonna do with you?
Brooke: (Sighs) (Sighs)
