Steffy: Brooke, are you hearing me?
Steffy: I am not trying to cause you unnecessary pain. I'm doing this for my family. Forrester creations should belong to Forresters and only Forresters. We've waited too long to get our company back, all right? So go to Donna and get her to give back those shares to my granddad, or I'm gonna tell everyone about you and Oliver.
Brooke: I met your terms, left the company. Hope is leaving for Boston tomorrow. Now you're trying to blackmail me again?
Steffy: Just think of it as an amendment to our previous agreement. Come on. You don't think Donna deserves a share in this company.
Brooke: I-I don't agree. Look, you're just holding this horrible mistake over my head.
Steffy: Look, I'm all for being sexy. There's nothing wrong with that. A little naughty once in a while. But you people, you take it way too far. You and your daughter's boyfriend? Even your father seducing my poor Aunt Pam. I have worked way too hard. So convince your sister to give back that 12.5%. The way I see it, you don't have a choice.
Whip: Anyone know why Nick called this meeting? Anyone? Great.
Aggie: Hi. I haven't seen you since...
Bridget: Since you told Nick about the baby?
Aggie: Look, I'm sure that you're mad at me.
Bridget: Mm, no. I just don't think it was your place. I think I should have told my husband. Of course, I should not have been in that position in the first place.
Aggie: Well, I told him 'cause I thought he had a right to know.
Bridget: Hmm. Well, undoubtedly, that was part of your motivation. He's single and available now.
Jackie: Uh, Bridget, I know it's been some time since you've seen Amber.
Bridget: Yeah. It has.
Amber: Yeah. I really hope we can move on from the past now that we're working together.
Bridget: Wow. Well, you're helping out while I'm pregnant, and I don't know that I'll be in the office that much, so maybe our paths just shouldn't cross that often right now.
Nick: Hello, everyone.
Whip: (Clears throat)
Nick: What's with all the long faces? I'm just a man showing up to work to run a company. So let's get to it.
Nick: I think this company's a mess. I think it needs a complete and total overhaul.
Whip: Nick, shouldn't we wait for Owen?
Nick: Owen's not invited. I told him to take the evening off, spend some time focusing on his pecs. Amber, welcome aboard.
Amber: Thank you.
Nick: Glad you could be here in this time of, uh, transition.
Amber: Yeah, it's really great to be here. I-I appreciate the opportunity, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
Nick: Well, I'm sure we all feel that way. Well, unless you're blind, you know that Bridgetís pregnant, and that my wife, who's soon to become my ex-wife is pregnant with "the abdominal showman's" child. That would be my mother's husband's child.
Whip: W-wait. Owen? What?
Nick: Mother, they didn't know?
Jackie: They do now.
Hope: (Sighs) All right, all packed.
Ridge: Bringing a lot of sweaters and coats? It gets kind of brisk in Boston.
Hope: Oh, yeah, don't remind me. But it's still warm here, you know, so I figure we can go for a swim. You know what? I can't imagine a better way to spend my last night in California. What do you think?
(Front door opens)
Hope: Mom, hey. I'm glad you're home. Uh, me and Oliver are just gonna go for a swim. Do you and dad want to join us?
Brooke: Sure, yeah. That'd be lovely.
Hope: Everything okay?
Brooke: Yeah. Just a little sad. That's all.
Hope: It's okay. Boston is only a 6-hour flight. You know, it's not bad. And--and you'll come visit for parents' weekend, you know?
Brooke: (Chuckles) Yeah.
Hope: (Sighs) All right, Dad, you want to go find a swimsuit for Oliver to wear?
Hope: Don't worry. I'm feeling generous, so I won't make you wear one of dad's old Speedos.
Oliver: (Chuckles) Better not.
Brooke: (Sighs) (Sighs) Oh, God. We have a problem.
Oliver: What's up?
Brooke: It's Steffy. She's blackmailing me again.
Oliver: What? Oh, no. What are you-- what are you gonna do?
Brooke: The only thing I can do. I have to tell Ridge the truth about what happened between us that night.
Nick: So we're clear on this? Owen is the father of Bridgetís baby. And I'd prefer that we keep that information between us in this room.
Whip: Well, it's gonna be tough to keep it from gettin' out. The press is gonna have a field day. Uh... I mean, we're not gonna be able to keep it contained.
Nick: No, I guess we won't, will we?
Jackie: We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
Nick: Given the strangeness of the situation, I hope you all understand why I took a little time away to think and collect myself.
Amber: (Chuckles) I'll say. I thought Forrester was drama.
Nick: Well, make note. I'm back, and I'm more determined to make this company thrive. So from now on, it's business as usual. We move forward.
Whip: Wait. Wait. Nick. How do you want me to handle this?
Nick: Well, I'm sure you can figure that out with the other great minds in the room.
Hope: (Sighs) I love nights like this. So quiet. So peaceful.
Ridge: And warm.
Hope: (Chuckles) You remember when, um, we used to come down here all the time and play music, and you guys would all sit around the firepit?
Ridge: You would be in the pool for hours.
Ridge: At the end of the evening, your fingers would be like little prunes.
Hope: (Giggles) Oh. (Sighs) I have a lot of good memories here.
Ridge: You don't have to go.
Hope: Yeah, I know. But, um, Mom and Oliver think this is what's best for me, and I trust them.
Oliver: What's Steffy after now?
Brooke: She's demanding I persuade Donna to return her share of the company to Eric. And if she doesn't, then she goes public with what happened between us that night.
Oliver: Well, can't you talk your sister into it?
Brooke: That's not the point. This isn't going to end. I can see that now. She's gonna keep holding this over my head.
Oliver: Maybe if you agree to this one last thing, she'll give it a rest.
Brooke: (Sighs) She's gonna blackmail me for years, Oliver. She owns me now, and she knows it, and I can't live like this, under her thumb. She's controlling my whole life.
Oliver: Please don't tell me that you're gonna--
Brooke: Yes. Yes. It's the only way to end this. I have to tell Ridge the truth.
Whip: You two knew about this, didn't you?
Aggie: Yeah, I... I sort of found out by accident.
Amber: And you must have known. Otherwise you'd be freaking out.
Jackie: Yes, I've known for some time.
Amber: (Sighs) Wow. And you're still with the guy. Well, that's some love.
Jackie: Nothing's going to come between Owen and me ever.
Whip: Yeah, unfortunately, I don't think the same is true for Bridget and Nick.
Nick: Well, just give me whatever you've got. No, I understand that it's last-minute, but...
Nick: Just bring me whatever you have first thing in the morning. Thanks.
Bridget: It's really good to see you back at work. It's difficult having you gone. Jackie M. really needs you, Nick. (Sighs) I really need you. Look, I know that this is asking a lot... but can you give me another chance? Can you give us another chance to make this right?
Bridget: We can work through this together. Please just give me another chance.
Nick: We can't erase what happened, Bridget. We can't make that baby mine. You know, when I look at you, I... I see the most gorgeous woman in the world, and sometimes I just... you know, I forget about everything that happened, and I see that... I see that glow in your face. And then I remember... you're not my wife anymore. And that baby you're having is not mine, and that glow on your face is not because of me.
Bridget: But you make me happy, Nick. I love you. I don't want to live my life without you.
Nick: I know myself, and I'm not gonna be able to get over this. I'd love to tell you that I can. But I just canít. I will always love you, and you're gonna be an amazing mother, and that's one lucky child inside of there, and I'd love to say...
Nick: I could do this the way you want me to, and be part of this child's life, but it's not going to happen. So it's time that we just move on.
Oliver: Y-you can't tell Mr. Forrester what happened. What--what if Hope finds out?
Brooke: I'll do my best to see that she doesnít.
Oliver: I don't want her to get hurt.
Brooke: I know. I don't want that either, but I can't keep this secret from my husband any longer.
Oliver: Well, what are you gonna tell him?
Brooke: (Sighs) I have to be completely honest.
Oliver: (Sighs) Why don't you let me talk to Steffy first?
Brooke: No. Steffy won't listen to you or to me. But there is one person that she will listen to, and that's her father. Now if I can get Ridge to accept this, then he'll be able to convince Steffy not to tell a soul about what happened.
Stephanie: I don't know, Steff. (Sighs) All the hard work and energy that you've put into this, and where are we? Right back at square one.
Steffy: You know, there might be a little loophole somewhere. In fact, I'd be willing to bet this company will remain 100% Forrester.
(Jason Castro's "That's What I'm Here For" playing) Good-bye, Los Angeles you said with some regret I'll do my best to find a way to help you to forget
Oliver: Jason Castro. Buddy of mine.
Hope: Yeah, sure. I buy that. (Chuckles) Oh, "That's what I'm here for"-- one of my favorite songs. I keep playing it over and over. (Chuckles) My last night in L.A., you know? It feels like he's singing right to me.
Oliver: I hate this.
Hope: Yeah, I know. But it'll be okay, you know? You'll visit, and I get off for-- for winter break in 127 days.
Oliver: You counted?
Hope: Maybe. Is that pathetic?
Oliver: No, it's sweet.
Oliver: You know I love you no matter what, right?
(Jason Castro's "That's What I'm Here For" playing) I heard you saying that you're finally feeling free.
Ridge: Hey, you almost ready? Hope and Oliver are waiting down by the pool. I wanted Hope's last night to be kind of special.
Brooke: Yes. I do, too. But I... (sighs) I need to speak to you first.
Ridge: Sounds important.
Brooke: Yes, it is. It could affect the rest of our lives.
Jackie: How was your talk with Nicky?
Bridget: It's over, Jackie. It's really, really over.
Jackie: I'm so sorry, sweetheart. I'm so sorry.
Aggie: Nick? I need you to double-check the figures for tomorrow's shipment.
Nick: Thanks. Really, thanks. Thanks for being honest with me when no one else was.
Aggie: You needed to know. I'm just sorry for what you're going through.
Nick: (Chuckles) Well, believe me, I was ready to set sail and take off away from this insane asylum, but, you know, it's my business. It's where I belong. Besides, Jackie M. is just a band of nut cases, and I figure I fit right in.
Aggie: Well, I guess I pretty much do, too, then.
Nick: (Chuckles) So if there is, uh, anything I can do to repay you, you let me know.
Aggie: Well, a girl's gotta eat.
Nick: A girl's gotta eat? Well, that's true. Would you care to have dinner?
Aggie: That would be great.
Nick: Thanks again. It means a lot to me.
Stephanie: Steffy, I know that you are the future of this family and this company. I know that in my heart. You're gonna get those shares back for your grandfather, aren't you? You're gonna beat those Logan girls at their own game.
(Jason Castro's "That's What I'm Here For" playing)
Oliver: Sorry if I'm overdoing it. I don't know when I'm gonna be able to kiss you again.
Hope: Hey, by all means, keep 'em comin'. (Sighs)
(Jason Castro's "That's what I'm here for" playing) That's what I'm here for yeah.
Hope: Hmm. I wonder what's taking my mom and dad so long.
Ridge: What is it, Logan? What's wrong?
Brooke: (Sighs) I have something to tell you. It's about Oliver and... (sighs) the night of the graduation party.
Ridge: Well, I thought we already discussed this. Remember, I explained that I was the one that organized it and not Oliver? It was me.
Brooke: No, it wasnít. It was Oliver.
Ridge: Brooke, listen to me. I'm telling you. It was me.
Brooke: No, it-- it wasn't, Ridge. I wish it was, but it wasnít. (Sighs) I-I really had no idea. I thought I was just being fun and spontaneous. (Sighs) I didn't know that I was going to be hurting the people that I love the most. (Sighs)
Ridge: Brooke, whatever you've done here, uh, I support you.
Ridge: But you just have to tell me what's going on. What is this?
Brooke: (Sighs) Every time I try to tell you, I just--I get scared and-- and closed up. You just seem so wonderful and so supportive.
Ridge: Sweetheart, I know you've been through the wringer the last while. There's been a lot of turmoil surrounding everything. But, yes, I-I am understanding.
Brooke: Well, there's more to the story, Ridge. So much more, and it's not good.
Ridge: Does this have to do with Steffy?
Brooke: Something is being held over my head, and at first, I gave in, and I went along with it, but, Ridge, I just can't live that lie anymore. And I need you to know that I'm really, really ashamed about this, but you really must know. I-I can't keep it from you any longer. I made a horrible, horrible mistake. (Sighs) And I just pray to God that you could... (Sighs) You could forgive me.
