Ridge: Leaving Forrester? Brooke, it doesn't make any sense.

Brooke: (Sighs) Please, Ridge. It's what I have to do. Don't fight me on this.

Ridge: I have to fight you on this, because there's something else going on here.

Brooke: Can you just leave it alone? I'm doing what has to be done.

Ridge: And what has to be done, Brooke? I really want to know.

Brooke: (Sighs) All right. All right, fine. I will tell you.

Hope: (Sighs) Um... you--you want me to go to Boston?

Oliver: Yeah.  I think you should call the recruiter back, accept the scholarship, tell her how excited you are for all the opportunities you're gonna have there. Look, I-I know it seems like I'm doing a 180 here. But things happen sometimes, Hope, things you-- you didn't see coming, and life takes us in a different direction. Now's one of those times.

Jackie: They say when you're at the end of your rope, tie a knot and hold on.

Nick: My marriage is over, and I'm dealing with it and moving on. So I suggest that you watch and take note, because you're gonna have to do the very same thing very soon.

Owen: (Breathing heavily) (grunts) (grunts) (grunts) (breathing heavily)

Bridget: Believe it or not, there was a time when I could 20 or more reps and not even break a sweat.

Owen: Hey, Bridget. What's going on?

Bridget: Oh, don't stop on my account, please. Working out is very important. (Sighs)

Owen: Yeah, it is, especially when you're pregnant.

Bridget: Yeah, well, I'm--I'm doing everything I'm supposed to be doing, including, you know--

Owen: Avoiding stress?

Bridget: Yeah. Well, let's just say I'm just trying to look ahead. It's actually why I came down. I wanted some advice... (laughs) from your wife.

Hope: Um, I-I don't understand this. I mean, I thought we-- I mean, I thought you and I-- was I wrong?

Oliver: I love you, Hope. I can't imagine not loving you. But I don't want that love to hold you back, either.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: I'm waiting. Why are you leaving Forrester? And I want the truth.

Brooke: Uh, because. Because you now have to run the company with Steffy.

Ridge: Logan, what the hell are you talking about?

Brooke: (Scoffs) Ridge, she went to all the trouble to get the company back from Bill Spencer. She handed it to you.

Ridge: Yes, that's true, but there's still room for you there.

Brooke: We wouldn't be in this position if it weren't for Steffy.

Ridge: Yes, I know. What my daughter did was extraordinary.

Brooke: Look, I just want you to be happy.

Ridge: (Sighs) My mother and Steffy have been pressuring you. Is that why this is happening?

Brooke: I know you so well. It's so bizarre that that happened. (Sighs)

Ridge: What's bizarre is that you're giving up here, Logan. You've never done that before. (Sighs)

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: What is going on?

Jackie: I didn't come here to talk about Owen. I came here to see how you are.

Nick: Well, I'd be a lot better if you were telling me you were calling your divorce attorney tomorrow.

Jackie: Oh. I have no intention of divorcing my husband.

Nick: Even though he fathered the child that your son's wife is carrying.

Jackie: Will you stop? Please stop. Stop. I know you're in pain. I know it, but--but Owen and I, we worked through what happened that night, and we are going to work through the rest of it, too.

Nick: With Bridget, the woman that he used to have a thing for, the woman that he is now so protective of, that woman. My God, Mother, open your eyes. Don't you see what's going on here? He is going to leave you for Bridget. That's where this is headed. Deep down, you know it.

Bridget: I know this is a precarious pregnancy. You know, but planning for the baby is...

Owen: It helps take your mind off of other things.

Bridget: Yeah. This baby is what I'm living for right now. (Sighs) Uh, a-anyway, I didn't mean to interrupt your workout. What am I doing? I just thought that if Jackie was here, it would be nice to kind of go over some things with her.

Owen: Hey, come on. You don't have to leave. I'd be more than happy to take a look at that baby catalog with you. I mean, that is, if you're not uncomfortable being alone with me like this.

Thomas: Hey, sis, I got a question for you about this press release on Hope for the Future.

Steffy: Oh, haven't you heard? There is no Hope for the Future.

Thomas: Oh, that's, uh, that's depressing. Maybe not? Okay, sis, you got this look in your eyes like you're up to something. What's up?

Oliver: I'd do anything for you, Hope, even if it hurt like hell, as long as I know it's what's right for you.

Hope: And--and what's right for me is going back east to college?  Don't you want to be with me?

Oliver: Of course I do but--

Hope: Okay, then what? What aren't you telling me right now? Because I'm--I'm really starting to think... wait a minute. Does this have anything to do with Steffy? It does. It does, doesn't it? You--you think that if I'm thousands of miles away... You're trying to protect me, aren't you?

Oliver: I wouldn't want Steffy to do anything to hurt you.

Hope: I know. I know, and you think she will if I stay, because she's got power over us-- over you, especially... doesn't she?

Brooke: More than anything, I want peace in this family.

Ridge: I want that, too.

Brooke: Ridge, it'll never happen with me around. Just run the company with your mother and Steffy. It's what they want. There will be no more drama.

Ridge: Logan, that's not what you want. It's not what I want either.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: You belong at Forrester. I'm not gonna let you leave.

Steffy: Okay, I can't tell you everything, but I can say this much. If everything goes well after tomorrow, the two remaining Logans are gonna be gone from Forrester Creations forever.

Oliver: I don't want you ever to be hurt.

Hope: I know, and I love you so much for that. But I'm not afraid of Steffy.

Oliver: You don't want to think like she can run you off. But you're not running from anything. You're running toward an opportunity of a lifetime.

Hope: (Sighs)

Oliver: So I was so sure you'd see it my way, I bought two tickets. I want to take you to Boston, help you get settled in. I know it'll be a big change at first-- for me, too, coming back without you. But I want this for you, Hope. I want this, because I know what it'll-- what it'll mean for your future, for your--for your whole life.

Hope: What about our future? You know, I-I mean, you're gonna be here, and I'm gonna be there.

Oliver: Loving you as much as I do doesn't change just 'cause we're apart.  Everything's gonna be okay.

Hope: (Sighs)

Oliver: All right? It's gonna be okay.

Hope: I-I still need time to think about this, you know, and I'm gonna have to talk to my parents-- my mom, especially. I mean, this-- this is gonna hit her hard.

Ridge: Look me in the eyes and tell me you want to leave. You can't do it.

Brooke: It's not what I want. It's what I need to do. Can you just accept that?

Ridge: Where is my wife? Where is her fighting spirit? You're letting my mother and Steffy get the better of you. They're guilting you out, and you're letting them get away with it.

Brooke: Ridge, I'm going. Do you understand? That's it. I-I can't take the fighting anymore. I need peace. I need to be-- to be able to breathe.

Ridge: (Sighs)

Brooke: I'm--I'm finished. My time at Forrester is over.

Ridge: (Sighs)

Brooke: Just let me go.  Let me go.

Owen: Wow, who knew they had all those cool things in a baby's catalog?

Bridget: (Laughs)

Owen: You know what the only problem is? I don't know what half of those things are for.

Bridget: Oh, I'm sure a lot of first-time dads feel that way.

Owen: So what are you hoping for? A boy? Girl?

Bridget: I think it would be awesome for Jack to have a little sister. I'm sorry. (Scoffs) It's just so weird. I thought I would be doing all this stuff with Nick.

Owen: But instead, you're stuck with me. (Chuckles)

Bridget: Owen, no, that's not what I meant. There's just a lot to still figure out, you know?

Owen: Like what? Like how you really feel about your baby's father?

Jackie: I'll say it again. Owen is committed to me and to our marriage.

Nick: Well, why wouldn't he be committed to you? Why wouldn't he love you? Thanks to you, he's rich, he's famous, he's respected, he has a career, a credit rating, and nobody can take any of those things from him. But he's also committed to this kid, and that commitment is gonna grow just like his feelings for Bridget are gonna grow. Mother, come on, he's a simple guy. He wants what he wants, and he finds out who has it, and he falls in love with them in order to get it. And Bridgetís gonna need someone, too, which is why I told her to go for it.

Jackie: You what?

Nick: Mother, I realize that... Owen was "it" for you, you know, the man you were meant to be with, your last stop. But it's his first stop. You took this kid, and you wiped his nose, and you knocked the little boy earwax out of his ears, and you dusted the sand off his surfer-dude butt, and you taught him how to live, how to talk, how to dress and how to love like a grown-up. But let's get real here, Mother. Life's just beginning for him, and the life he wants is connected to Bridget and this baby and this ideal family that he has always dreamed of, and you better start facing that fact.

Jackie: Okay. I can take you lashing out at me, because I know that you are in such pain. But I'm not gonna have you diminish what Owen and I share, not in any way. Our love is real. Our life together is real. And you may never accept it, but it doesn't make it any less true. Oh, and excuse me, as for your advice to Bridget to go for it with my husband, well, the least said about that, the better.

Nick: (Sighs)

Bridget: You want to know how I really feel?

Owen: Yeah, about telling people that I'm really the baby's father, you know, 'cause I assume you-- you haven't told anybody anything yet.

Bridget: Oh. Right. Yeah, only my mother. I don't have the nerve to tell my dad or the rest of the family yet.

Owen: 'Cause you don't think that they'll understand?

Bridget: I think that I am the last person anyone ever thought this would happen to. But--

Owen: You're dealing with it, all right? You're dealing with it the way that a strong woman like you would do.

Bridget: I don't really feel so strong right now. I've lost my husband. I lost our home, and my thoughts are... you know, when a-a woman has a baby growing inside of her, everything she always thought she needed just become secondary. And the most important thing... (sighs) is what the baby needs.

Owen: Hey. He's gonna make it.  Look, and I'm not gonna let myself believe anything else. I'm not gonna let you believe anything else either. Come here.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: There's more, isn't there?

Brooke: Ridge, I've just been through so much... (sighs) lately, you know-- my mother's death, my father being in jail, Donna trying to get the company back-- and I don't want to leave Forrester. I donít. But please, just don't ask me to explain any more. I just really need you to--to support my decision.

Ridge: I'm sorry, Logan. (Sighs) I thought this was all about Steffy and my mother. But there's so much more, isn't there? All the stress you've been under. Look, if this is really what you want, and as much as I'd miss you at Forrester, and I would... (sighs) of course I'll support you.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: Of course.

Brooke: (Sighs) Thank you. Thank you.

Ridge: Your commitment as a mother, as a wife-- you're always doing everything for everybody else, always putting your family first, giving them what they need. That's the part of you, Logan, that I know so well. (Sighs) That's why you're leaving.

Brooke: (Sighs)

(Cell phone rings)

Brooke: (Sniffles)

(Ring)

Ridge: Hey, sweetheart. I-I'm with Brooke right now. This is not a good time.

Steffy: What's going on?

Ridge: It's Steffy. Do you want me to tell her?

Ridge: Brooke has made a decision. She's decided to leave Forrester.

(Telephone rings)

Steffy: Dad?

Ridge: Hey, hold on. Steffy, look, it's Thorne. I've got to take this.

Steffy: Oh, um, can I speak with Brooke for a second?

Ridge: She wants to speak with you.

Ridge: Thorne, it's about the invoice? Okay, hang on. I'm gonna fax it to you from downstairs.

(Door closes)

Brooke: What is it?

Steffy: Thank you, Brooke. As for tomorrow, um, I'll have everybody meet in my dad's office. You can make your announcement there. But remember, Hope has to be out, too. Brooke, I'm sorry, but this is what I need. I don't expect you to understand, but this is gonna give my father and I an opportunity to finally justó

(Phone hangs up)

Steffy: Brooke?
