Stephen: Beth. Tonight finally you will be able to rest in peace. Stephanie Forrester will never harm our family again. (Sighs)

Stephanie: I'm going to drive into the village and pick up the prescription.

Pam: I told you, Stephanie, I don't need it!

Stephanie: Yes, you do.

Pam: (Sighs)

Stephanie: And you're going to take them.

Pam: You always think you know what's best, don't you?

Stephanie: You know, I don't want to argue with you, all right? I just want to get you some help.

Pam: I don't need help! I'm fine. I am happier than I have ever been in my life. I'm in love!

Stephanie: I tell you what, let's make a deal. You take...

Pam: (Sighs)

Stephanie: You take the medication, and once it starts working, if you still feel the same way--

Pam: Why won't you listen to me?! What I have with Stephen is real, and no medication is gonna change that.

Stephanie: Okay. All right. We'll--we' work this out when I get back. Sit! And stay.

Pam: I don't need those pills. I am not sick. And I am not staying. (Sighs)

(Cell phone rings)

Stephen: Hello?

Pam: Stephen.

Stephen: Pamela. Are you all right?

Pam: Stephen, you've gotta get me out of here. Stephanie is being horrible to me.

Stephen: I-I'm almost there.

Pam: You are? You're not speeding, are you?

Stephen: Of course, I'm speeding. The woman I love is in trouble.

Pam: Well, how far away are you? Stephanie just went to the pharmacy, so maybe if you get here, we c--we can leave before she gets back.

Stephen: Don't worry. When I get there, Stephanie won't be a problem for us anymore.

Pam: (Sighs)

Stephen: Not for us, not for my daughters, not for anyone... ever again.

Brooke: Those are excellent ideas. Thank you very much.

Katie: (Sighs) Brooke, I've left you lots of messages. Why haven't you returned my calls?

Brooke: Haven't even checked yet, and I'm late for Bridget's baby shower. Why? What's wrong?

Katie: (Sighs) It's Dad.

Bill: He's involved with Pam Douglas.

Thomas: Ooh, it looks good.

Whip: (Clears throat) Oh, that's very inventive.

Oliver: (Laughs)

Whip: Don't go and hurt yourself, okay? (Speaking indistinctly)

Steffy: Oh.

Jackie: Hello, everybody. Look, I told you that we weren't late.

Whip: Wow, Owen, what do you got there?

Owen: Got the safest car seat on the market.

Jackie: (Chuckles) Yeah. We had to go to virtually every store in town to get this particular model.

Taylor: That was very practical of you.

Thomas: Yeah, it's just the kind of gift you'd expect from a grandpa.

Owen: I'm gonna put it on the pile here.

Jackie: Okay. Taylor, this is so sweet of you to throw this baby shower for Bridget. Thank you.

Taylor: Oh, well, you and everybody over at Jackie M., you're like family to Whip, and now that we're married, that makes me family, too, I guess.

Jackie: It does. (Chuckles)

Taylor: (Chuckles)

Nick: Whoa! Whoa! They did it.

Steffy: Hey!

Whip: The guests of honor have arrived.

Steffy: Whoo!

Nick: Wow. I like it very much. I like it.

Bridget: Wow. Oh, my goodness. I can't believe this.

Nick: Thank you.

Bridget: Thank you all for being here.

Nick: Thanks.

Aggie: Oh, where else would we be? You and Nick are having a baby.

Nick: (Chuckles) Yes, we are.

Whip: How many more we got?

Thomas: Uh... a lot.

Steffy: Uh, shouldn't you be over there with the guys?

Oliver: Is that how these baby showers work?

Steffy: You've never been to one before?

Oliver: My family's not big into get-togethers.

Steffy: Yeah, well, mine are. And since your cousin is married to my mom, we'll be seeing a lot more of each other.

Brooke: I don't understand.

Katie: (Sighs) Apparently, Dad and Pam are seeing each other.

Bill: Actually, they're living together.

Katie: He says they're dating because they have this bond that she's been victimized by Stephanie, as well. But I don't buy any of it.

Brooke: No. (Scoffs) Dad is not involved with Pam.

Katie: Oh, we went over there, and he went out the back. I have no idea where he went.

Pam: (Sighs)

(Knock on door)

Stephen: Pamela, it's Stephen. Let me in.

Pam: Oh, God. Oh, Stephen. Stephen, thank God. Oh, you're here. Mmm. You have to get me out of here right now. Stephanie's being horrible.

Stephen: No, no, no, no, Pamela. No. No. We can't run away from this.

Pam: Wh--

Stephen: No. You have to stand up to your sister tonight. We will end this cycle of abuse once and for all.

Pam: No.

Stephen: Yes.

Brooke: (Sighs) Is it the grief? Has it been too much for him?

Katie: He says 's trying to protect us from Stephanie.

Brooke: But what does that have to do with Pam?

Katie: I guess maybe he's trying to save her, too. But that doesn't make any sense, after everything she's done to Donna. Dad should hate Pam just as much as he hates Stephanie.

Brooke: But he's living with Pam.

Katie: (Sighs)

Bill: Know your enemy. He's using Pam to get to Stephanie.

Brooke: We really need to talk to him. This war with Stephanie's gone on too long, and it's cost our family way too much pain. Whatever he is doing with Pam, it's gotta stop before somebody gets hurt.

Stephen: (Sighs)

Pam: I-I-I don't want to confront Stephanie.

Stephen: If you don't, nothing will ever change.

Pam: Please, please, Stephen, let's just go back to L.A.

Stephen: And--and do what? And do what, my love? Hide out in your apartment? Do you think that will stop her? You have to make Stephanie listen to you.

Pam: But--

Stephen: No, you have to take a stand. Oh, Pamela, you're not the same woman that you were a few days ago. You started to spread your wings.

Pam: Mm.

Stephen: And when you did that what did Stephanie do? She drug you up here, and she tried to brainwash you the same way she's brainwashed you your entire life. You can't let her do that. You have to stop her. And you're the only one who can.

Pam: (Sighs)

Nick: I love this. I love the color. I know I'll fit in it. Thank you. Thank you.

Bridget: (Chuckles)

Jackie: (Chuckles)

Bridget: It's very thoughtful of you, Owen. But you shouldn't have.

Owen: Just doing my part.

Nick: Love this guy, huh? Thank you.

Aggie: What do you think about that?

Oliver: Owen's present, from him and his wife?

Aggie: It's the kind of present parents usually pick out for themselves.

Oliver: What are u thinking?

Aggie: Nothin'

Oliver: Hey...

Nick: Okay, what's this? Here, Bridget.

Owen: Stuffed animal.

Oliver: Hey, I thought you were over that. You and Bridget are good now, right?

Aggie: Yeah, we are. I just--I'm worried about Nick, you know. He's so excited about this little baby, and--

(Indistinct conversation)

Nick: Thank you. Thank you.

Aggie: Bridget-- something's off. I know they're concerned that she won't be able to carry the baby to term, but... maybe it's that. Maybe she's concerned that Owen is the father.

Oliver: What? No way. They slept together, like-- like, one time.

Aggie: That we know about. And she didn't tell Nick about that.

Oliver: Bridget wouldn't lie about the baby. She's not that kind of person. All right? What happened with Owen was a mistake. And people make them. Cut 'em some slack, Aggs.

Aggie: I don't know if I can. Look, if--if Nick's not the father of that baby, he deserves to know. And if she's not gonna tell him, I will.

Nick: Put that there if it's too sunny. We have to have something to hold that up. But thank you anyway. We'll work that out soon. Get yourself a burger, anything you want. Okay. This thing is my favorite. But it's confusing. I'll be honest.

Bridget: I'll be right back. (Indistinct conversation) Um, please, I need to talk to you. Can you meet me upstairs now?

Brooke: Dad? (Sighs)

Katie: He's not here.

Bill: Obviously, neither is Pam.

Brooke: Well, he's not answering his phone, so we might well just call Pam.

Katie: We, if he sees it's us, he's not gonna let her answer.

Brooke: Where else can we find him?

Katie: I don't know. I was hoping that he was gonna come back here.

Brooke: So you mean Dad really... (Chuckles) He's real living here with Pam?

(Knock on door)

Katie: Maybe that's him.

Brooke: Oh, Dad!

Mike: Oh, no.

Bill: Who are you?

Mike: Nobody. Sorry, uh, wrong apartment.

Brooke: Mike? Mike Guthrie? What are you doing here?

Bill: Funny he's not asking us the same question. Mike, come on in. Join us, won't you? Tell us who you're looking for.

Mike: (Sighs) Obviously, I'm breaking up a family gathering. Uh, I probably really shouldn't stay. Your dad around?

Katie: You know our father lives here?

Brooke: We don't know where our father is, and we don't know where Pam is either. And how are you mixed up in all of this?

(Doors slams shut)

Bill: You better start talking. You're not going anywhere until we get some answers.

Pam: Please, Stephen, I want to leave. Want to leave.

Stephen: Okay. Okay.

Pam: Okay.

Stephen: We can do that, if--if that makes you happy. Because that's what I want. I want you to be happy. That's what I care about. And how many people have ever treated you like that?

Pam: (Sighs)

Stephen: Certainly not Stephanie.

Pam: No, but she thinks she's helping.

Stephen: But she's not. She wants to keep you the way you were, alone and--and insecure. And if she keeps the two of us apart, she has back her poor lonely little Pammy.

Pam: Yeah, but that's not gonna happen.

Stephen: Well... if--

Pam: What?

Stephen: If you're afraid to confront her--

Pam: No, Stephen, I'm not afraid.

Stephen: I'm just saying that if you're afraid, I understand. I was afraid of her, too, for a long time. She made me feel like I was useless and worthless.

Pam: You? Stephen, you are so beautiful.

Stephen: And so are you. So are you. You're beautiful. You're--you're capable. And you're stronger than you imagine. And you stay here-- Pammy, if you stand up to Stephanie, you will astonish yourself.

Pam: (Sighs)

Stephen: And--and-- no, no, you will. You can do this. You need to do this.

Pam: I know, but Stephen, I'm just feeling so tired. It's been such an emotional day. I-I--

Stephen: Pam, Pam, how many times have you repressed your own feelings and done what was right for the family? How many times did you just shut your mouth and smile when inside, you wanted to scream? My love, you deserve better than this. But Stephanie is not going to give it to you. All Stephanie does is take and take and take. And now she wants to take your only real chance of happiness.

Pam: I know, but I won't let her. I'll make her understand. I will.

Stephen: No, no, sweetheart. No, no, no. Shh, shh, shh. Words won't do it.

Pam: Well, then we'll show her, Stephen. We'll just show her over time. She --she'll see. She'll see.

Stephen: No, there's no time. There's no-- Pam, there's no time. She's coming back from the pharmacy. She could walk through that door any minute. Then what?

Pam: What?

Stephen: It's me or Stephanie. It's a new life or just more of the same. And sweetheart, I'll give you the power. I'll be here beside you. Together, we'll see it, an end to all of Stephanie'- Stephanie's tyranny and freedom for you, freedom from all the misery that she's caused you. Can you do it? Will you do it?

Pam: Yes.

Stephen: Yes.

Pam: Yes, Stephen, I-I will. I will. Mm.

(Door opens)

Stephanie: (Sighs) I should have known you'd show up.

Nick: Hey, thanks for being here, all of ya. I know baby showers probably aren't your thing, guys.

Thomas: (Chuckles) That's okay. I'm just happy for you, Nick.

Steffy: Yeah, it's great everything's working out for you and Bridget.

Nick: Thank you. And thank you, T. You're not getting away just yet.

Aggie: (Laughs) Hey, no.

Nick: I-I appreciate it. It's just nice to know we have so many people pulling for us.

Aggie: I am, Nick, you know. More than anything in the world, I want this baby to be the answer to your prayers.

Nick: Thanks.

Aggie: Yeah. (Sighs) Hey, could you excuse me for a minute? I just--there's something I have to check on.

Nick: Sure.

Bridget: You mentioned something a while back about Oliver. You were worried. Remember, he had just moved into the beach house? And you thought that he might suspect something.

Owen: Yeah, but he doesn't.

Bridget: Are you sure?

Owen: I mean, yeah. Why?

Bridget: I've been getting the weirdest vibe from Aggie. I--especially tonight. I just -- (sighs) I mean, have you noticed anything?

Owen: No, I haven't noticed anything.

Bridget: Oh, God. I mean, maybe I'm just paranoid. We have gotta be careful.

Owen: Yeah. (Groans) Bridget, you're gonna keep an eye on Aggie, and I am gonna keep an eye on this baby that is getting bigger and bigger in your belly. All right?

Bridget: But this is what I mean. I'm sorry. I'm really glad that you're excited about the baby, 'cause you' right. You're right. It--it's a miracle. But--

Owen: Yes, its a miracle, and it would be very easy to lose sight of that. Hey, look at me. What did you and Nick promise each other? That you're gonna look beyond all of your mistakes, and you're gonna live your life together. You gotta stop worrying that something's gonna happen, because everything's fine. You and Nick are fine. Jackie and I are fine. But most importantly, our baby is fine.

(Indistinct conversation)

Nick: I don't know. It's so uncomfortable. Can you imagine...

Mike: All the shady stuff is in my past.

Bill: I know shady, and I'm looking at it.

Mike: Hey, I'm not the one out to get--

Brooke: The one out to get who?

Katie: Who are you talking about? Our father?

Bill: The lady asked you a question, Mike.

Mike: Look, it's not my fault your dad's got problems. I wasn't looking for any trouble.

Brooke: What kind of trouble is he in?

Mike: The worst kind. He's out to get Stephanie Forrester, and I have a hunch he's gonna use her sister to do it.

Pam: I called him.

Stephanie: I guess I should have taken your cell phone.

Pam: He was worried about me, Stephanie.

Stephanie: He's not worried about you.

Stephen: You see, don't you. You see what she's doing.

Stephanie: He's filling your head with fantasies. He's convinced you that you don't need your medication.

Pam: I don't need my medication! I--

Stephanie: If you don't need it-- if you don't need it, why are you so agitated and so confused?

Pam: I am not confused.

Stephanie: I don't want this man to hurt you, Pam.

Stephen: You're the one who's hurting her, Stephanie.

Stephanie: That's not true.

Stephen: You are undermining her confidence. You beat her down year after year.

Stephanie: You know that's not true, Pam.

Stephen: Well, she's not gonna take it anymore. She is fed up.

Stephanie: You know what I'm fed up with, Stephen? I'm fed up with you and your B.S. Come on, we're going.

Pam: What? Where?

Stephanie: We're--we're going back to L.A. I'm going to the police.

Pam: No, Stephanie! No! You know what? Stephen's right.

Stephanie: We're gonna get a restraining order from the police.

Pam: I have let you bully me long enough.

Stephanie: I'm no bullying--

Pam: Let go of me!

Stephen: Stop it, you two! Stop it! Nobody is leaving this cabin. No one is going anywhere
