Stephanie: Perfectamento.

Steffy: Mm, you, too.

Stephanie: You ready to take on the whole world?

Steffy: Oh, you got it.

Stephanie: Cut from the same cloth.

Steffy: Oh, and heaven help anyone who gets in our way.

Stephanie: I guess we showed those Logan bitches, didn't we? A good, hard lesson.

Steffy: Oh, but we already got rid of them-- first Katie and then Donna.

Stephanie: And Brooke.

Steffy: And Hope. Oh, a bunch of alley cats, searching for some dumpster to live in.

Stephanie: None of it would have happened if it hadn't been for you. I'm so proud of you, Steffy, my brilliant "mini me."

Steffy: My mentor. (Laughs)

Stephanie: Where did you get that brooch?

Steffy: Oh, this? Oh, you gave it to me.

Stephanie: I did?

Steffy: Yeah.

Stephanie: Oh, what good taste I have.

Steffy: Mm.

Ridge: Are you listening to me?

(Record needle scratches)

Brooke: Hmm? Oh. Oh, no. I'm sorry. What were you saying?

Ridge: (Scoffs) Where did you just go?

Brooke: Uh... (sighs) I can't get those two out of my mind. (Sighs)

Ridge: Those two who?

Brooke: Your mother and your daughter. It's bad enough I had one Stephanie to deal with. And now I have two. They're out to get rid of us, Ridge-- Hope and me, the last two remaining Logans in this company.

Ridge: Steffy and Hope are working on the new line together.

Brooke: Right. And in my opinion, that spells disaster.

(Indistinct conversations)

Steffy: Okay, so after my intro, then it's your entrance, all right?

Hope: Yeah, and my speech is all on the teleprompter, yeah?

Steffy: Right.

Hope: Okay. I mean, I've been over and over it. You know, I know what to say, but, um...

Steffy: Oh, no, no. Don't worry. No need to memorize a thing.

Hope: (Sighs) Okay. Thank you. Thank you, Steffy. (Sighs)

Oliver: What do you think?

Hope: Wow. (Chuckles)

Oliver: How does it feel to have your name in lights?

Pam: She thinks she's gonna be a household name after today's press conference.

Steffy: Oh, she'll be a household name. Another scandal for the Logans.

Katie: I love this picture of Mom. She looks so happy. I always want to remember her this way.

Donna: I wish I could remember her that way. (Sighs) Aah! Mom! Mom!

Stephen: Oh, hey, now. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.

Donna: (Sighs)

Stephen: Sweetheart, your mother wouldn't want any more tears.

Donna: I know, Dad. I know, but she shouldn't have died.

Stephen: No, no, she shouldn't have. And if it weren't for Stephanie, she would be here right now. So believe me when I tell you that Stephanie will pay for what she's done. She will.

Katie: I don't see it happening, Dad.

Stephen: Believe me, honey. Her time will come.

Donna: Well, I hope that Pam goes down with her. I mean, god, I can't believe the last stunt she pulled.

Stephen: What stunt?

Katie: You didn't tell him?

Donna: Uh...

Katie: When Donna left Forrester...

Donna: (Sighs)

Katie: She was hauled off in the back of a van.

Stephen: What?

Donna: Yeah. The pest control guy was exterminating the building, and somehow I got locked in the back with the pests. Dad, Pam--it was her doing.

Stephen: The abuse that you have suffered at the hands of that woman, and everything that Stephanie has done to your sister-- this has to stop! It was your mother's last wish to protect you girls, and because of Stephanie, she can't do that. Well, I am going to do that. I'm gonna defend you girls from Stephanie and her sister no matter what it takes!

Katie: Um... why don't we talk about something happier, okay?

Donna: Like what?

Katie: Like Hope. She's got a big evening ahead of her.

Donna: Right. Right. I mean, today is her first press conference. And, uh, she--she steps into the world of high fashion.

Katie: She's gonna be a big star.

Hope: (Sighs) Oh, there's so much riding on this.

Oliver: And you're gonna do great.

Hope: Yeah, well, I better. The success of Hope for the Future depends on it.

Oliver: You're gonna nail it.

Hope: And if I don't, then they cancel the line, and I go to school in Boston.

Oliver: Hey, they're gonna love you. And you're going to school right here in L.A. where I can keep an eye on you.

Hope: (Sighs)

Steffy: Almost show time. Here. Wear this.

Hope: Oh, no, I can't wear that one. It's too revealing. Um... uh, look. I'll wear this one, okay? It's--it's less revealing. It's my favorite, okay?

Oliver: She'll look great in anything.

Steffy: There's an unbiased opinion.

Oliver: Come on, Steffy. Cut her some slack, okay?

Steffy: Hey, I'm head of P.R. I'm doing my job. She needs to show off her body. A little skin gives a big draw.

Oliver: You're not trying to rattle her, are you?

Steffy: Would I do that?

Ridge: Dad's still not coming to the launch?

Stephanie: Oh, honey, he doesn't want to deal with the press. Uh, besides, you're the head of the company now. You're the one that should be in the spotlight.

Brooke: It's the breakup with Donna, isn't it? Oh, you don't have to answer me. I know he's still in love with her.

Stephanie: Well... (chuckles) honey, he knows it's over. I mean, she's the one that left him.

Brooke: People have been known to change their minds.

Stephanie: Mm.

Taylor: I think we need to go. It's about time for the showroom to be ready.

Stephanie: Oh. And Hope, is she all prepared, or is she having second thoughts?

Brooke: Don't be ridiculous. The press is already gathering, and Hope is going to be brilliant.

Stephanie: Mm. She better be.

Pam: Hope's shining moment. We're in the countdown phase.

Steffy: Okay, is the teleprompter ready?

Pam: All set.

Steffy: Good. Great.

Pam: Hey, it's not just about Hope, is it? I saw the way you just looked at that young man.

Steffy: (Whispers) Stop.

Pam: (Whispers) That Oliver.

Steffy: (Quietly) First things first, all right? Sweet, little Hope can be a star back east at college. She doesn't belong here, not as a spokesmodel.

Pam: No.

Steffy: And I know just the thing to prompt her to fall flat on her face.

Pam: (Laughs)

Steffy: (Laughs) Oh.

Pam: You're so bad.

Steffy: I know. I know.

(Indistinct conversations)

Jarrett: Another Forrester debut? (Chuckles)

Steffy: (Chuckles)

Jarrett: You must be so excited.

Steffy: I am, very. Hey, how's your boss?

Jarrett: Well, needless to say, Bill will not be attending.

Steffy: Well, it's gonna be a great show.

Jarrett: Yeah. There's a lot of buzz about this Hope for the Future line. Uh, any comments?

Steffy: I think I'll let Hope speak for herself. I know she has a lot to say.

Stephen: You're right. You're right. We should be celebrating Hope and her success.

Katie: I'm sure Mom's looking down on her right now.

Donna: Let's hope she's watching Stephanie. (Sighs) That woman would love to see Hope fall on her face.

Katie: I know she's watching out for Hope just as she watches out for you and all of us.

Donna: I'm not so sure about that.

Katie: Oh, come on. Look at all the support you've had since you've left Eric.

Donna: Yeah, Bill's been great.

Katie: I know. He's amazing, isn't he?

Donna: He's treating me like family.

Katie: You are family. He'll always be there for you.

Donna: Well, I'm gonna have to lean on him, Katie, because, uh, he's the only one who can stand up to the Forresters.

Stephen: Honey, I'll stand up to the Forresters. They have treated our family like doormats ever since we came into their lives. Well, not anymore. Those days are over, and they're gonna know it.

Pam: I can't wait. I can't wait. I can't wait. I can't wait. (Chuckles)

Thorne: You're kinda wound up, aren't you, Pam?

Pam: Oh, no, I-I just get all excited at these, you know, glitzy Hollywood events.

Thorne: Yeah, well, it's Hope's night. It's her chance to shine in the limelight.

Pam: Yeah. Think she can handle it? (Chuckles)

Thorne: I don't know. It's a lot of pressure.

Pam: Yeah. Maybe too much pressure? You think so, Thorne? You think? (Chuckles)

Steffy: You know, uncle-- Uncle Thorne, let me just talk to Pam for a minute. Thanks.

Thorne: Yes.

Steffy: Will you knock it off, okay? You're gonna blow it.

Pam: Okay, I'm sorry. You're right. You're right.

Steffy: Yeah.

Pam: (Exhales) I won't do anything. I'll be cool. Hi.

Steffy: Oh, God.

Brooke: You and I are going to have to have a little chat after this is over. I know you were behind what happened to Donna.

Pam: When? The--the exterminator was just doing his job, gettin' rid of pests.

Steffy: (Chuckles)

Brooke: You think this is funny? This is your grandfather's wife we're talking about.

Steffy: Was his wife.

Brooke: Oh, is that it? And then there were two? Hope and me-- we're all that are remaining.

Steffy: Your words, not mine.

Brooke: I am warning both of you. If anything goes wrong at this press conference today, anything at all, I'm on you two so fast. This is Hope's opportunity to shine. And if you're messing with her, you are messing with me. And you really don't want to do that.

Katie: Dad, I-I wouldn't waste your energy on the Forresters. Let's just move past this.

Stephen: Sweetheart, may--may--maybe you can forget everything that that family has done to us, but I-I canít. And your mother would be here right now if it wasn't for Stephanie.

Donna: He's right about that.

Stephen: I mean, for her to argue with a woman who has Alzheimerís, and--and take her keepsake and throw it into a swimming pool-- how irresponsible can you be? Un--unless... unless that's what she intended. Maybe she intended to get rid of Beth and--and have Eric defend her and ignore his own wife who was suffering from the death of her mother. I mean, how am I supposed to ignore all that?

Katie: Uh...

Oliver: Okay, okay. Take a deep breath.

Hope: (Exhales deeply)

Oliver: One more. (Inhales sharply)

Hope: (Exhales deeply)

Oliver: Now who's out there?

Hope: Friends and family.

Oliver: Right. And who else?

Hope: Reporters... a bunch of 'em.

Oliver: Right again. And a lot of those reporters are...

Hope: Young.

Oliver: Young. And many of those reporters are guys. And what are they gonna do when they first lay eyes on you?

Hope: I don't know.

Oliver: The same thing I did when I first laid eyes on you. And then you'll have them right in the palm of your hand.

Hope: Do you promise?

Oliver: I swear. It's a lock. Now go out there and work your magic.

Hope: (Sighs)

Oliver: And they'll love you before you even open your mouth.

Hope: (Sighs) Mm.

(Indistinct conversations)

Ridge: Ladies and gentlemen of the press... we welcome you to our newest Forrester preview. Thank you all for joining us this evening. This is an event that's particularly exciting to all of us at Forrester Creations. Not only are you gonna meet one of our newest rising stars, you're gonna get an advance look at our first collection. Well, it's not actually our first collection, but we've all met in this room many times before over the years, haven't we? The fashion press has been with us in, uh, Lake Como and Portofino-- pretty much all over the world. But in recent times, Forrester Creations, the company my mother and father founded and built was in other hands. Well, I'm very pleased to say that those times are behind us.

Audience: (Cheering)

Ridge: We're very excited about that, too. The collection you'll preview today is the brainchild of our next generation, a talented young group who will follow in the footsteps of my mother and father and brother and sisters and our spouses. This group is lead by my lovely and very creative daughter Steffy, our head of public relations, and by my other beautiful daughter, whose name appears behind me. Ladies and gentlemen, the family at Forrester proudly presents... Hope for the Future.

(Cheers and applause)

Oliver: Yeah!

(Synthesized music playing)

Steffy: All right, so you're on after the video.

Hope: How do I look? (Clears throat)

Steffy: You should have taken my suggestion on the dress.

Hope: (Sighs) Steffy, I told you. It just wasn't me.

Steffy: Isn't that what I said all along? This isn't you. But too late for that now. It all goes down to this performance, so don't blow it. Read the teleprompter, but with some feeling, okay? And try not to look as scared as you do right now. If you want to be a professional, go out there and be one.

(Synthesized music playing)

[ Wind blowing ]

Katie: Look, Dad, I am not about to defend Stephanie or any of the Forresters, but I am worried about you.

Stephen: Honey... I miss your mother, and I'm angry. Stephanie and her family has terrorized us for too long. Donna has lost her marriage, and you all have lost your mother.

Donna: Dad, you're right. It's horrible. It's horrible, but for you to get worked up like this, it's not good for you.

Stephen: Eric and Stephanie are over there right now running that company without a thought in the world about what they did to you, and then you tell me they sent you packing in the back of a pest control van? How much humiliation are we supposed to take?

Donna: (Sobs) I miss Mom.

Stephen: Oh, sweetheart.

Donna: I miss Mom so much.

Stephen: I know. I know. I know. We all do. I'm sorry.

Donna: (Sobs) I just feel so empty. I... (Sighs)

Katie: Now is the time for us to band together and support each other as a family. Let my husband deal with the Forresters. He will.

Donna: (Sighs)

Stephen: So much loss-- my son, my wife.

Stephen: It wasn't supposed to be like this. We should have been able to say good-bye and let her go gently. But Stephanie and Eric have robbed us of that.

Donna: (Sighs)

Stephen: And so I owe it to Beth to seek retribution and protect her girls.

(Bear roars)

Donna: Help! Aah!

Stephen: I'm sorry, sweetie.

Donna: (Sniffles)

Stephen: I'm sorry for everything that man did to you. I should have been there to protect you, and I wasnít. I was weak. But not anymore. I am going to protect my family.

Donna: (Sighs)

Stephen: And the Forresters will never hurt the Logans again... not ever.

(Synthesized music playing)

Steffy: This is it. You're on. Break a leg.

Hope: (Sighs) Okay. Just talk to the audience. It's all on the teleprompter. And... just breathe.

Steffy: Yeah.

Hope: Okay.

Steffy: Yeah, you got it. You got it. Ladies and gentlemen, the spokesperson for Hope for the Future, Miss Hope Logan.

Audience: (Cheering)

Hope: Thank you. Thank you very much.

Audience: (Murmuring)

(Electricity crackling)

Audience: (Murmuring)

Man: "Ho Logan."

Audience: (Laughing)

Man: Ho!

Audience: (Murmuring)
