Taylor: Mm. (Sighs)
Whip: (Sighs) I still can't believe you actually said yes. You did say yes, right?
Taylor: Would I be wearing this gorgeous engagement ring if I hadn't?
Whip: No, I don't think so.
Whip: Oh, look at this. I--You're changing your mind already, aren't you?
Taylor: No, no, no. I'm talking about the wedding. That's what--I-I'm trying to plan this thing in a day, and I don't-- I don't know. I've gotta get flowers. I've gotta get a lot of things ordered. I've gotta have the perfect dress.
Whip: Oh, come on. Come on. You could wear a burlap sack, sweetheart, and you'd still look-- be the most beautiful bride.
Taylor: (Sighs) Yeah. We also have to tell everyone, or no one will be there...
Taylor: Starting with Steffy and Thomas.
Whip: All right. (Clears throat) So, um, you think they'll cut me any slack? I mean, after all, I am pretty much the guy who's putting the kibosh on their parents ever getting back together again.
Taylor: No, they know that you're the man who has changed my life and made me happy again. I think they'll be very excited. Almost as excited as Brooke, who will finally be happy to know that I won't be holding out for Ridge anymore, because you're the lucky man.
Whip: Yes, I am.
(Cell phone rings)
Steffy: Hi, Oliver. I'm all by myself, and I just couldn't help but thinking about you.
Oliver: Uh, sounds like trouble.
Steffy: (Chuckles) I'm the kind of trouble you want to get into. You know, why don't you come over and keep me company?
Oliver: Sorry. I got some business to take care of.
Steffy: Oh, you know, that's too bad. You sure you don't want to come over and take care of me?
Oliver: Not a good idea.
Steffy: Oh, I think it's a good idea. You know, don't say you're not tempted, 'cause I know you are. You're just not ready to admit it yet.
Oliver: Listen, I got-- I gotta run.
Steffy: (Chuckles) It won't be fast enough.
Oliver: For what?
Steffy: To get away from me. Don't worry. I'm the kind of woman who likes a chase. So start runnin'. I'll catch ya later.
Hope: Here are the top three submissions for the commercial. Now all we have to do is selec-
Ridge: All we he to do is select the best of the best.
Hope: Yes. Now since the Hope line is gonna be cool and edgy, I really think the music should be, too. And we only have submissions for the first commercial, but...
Brooke: That will give us a good idea who we want to hire.
(Knock on door)
Oliver: Sorry. Someone said Hope would be in here.
Hope: Oliver, oh, my gosh. I can't believe your timing.
Ridge: So you're Oliver?
Oliver: And you're Hope's dad. We meet at last. Sorry for interrupting. I didn't realize that--
Hope: Oh, no, no. We were just getting started. Right?
Brooke: Right. We're about ready to listen to the music for the new Hope for the Future commercial, and we're gonna play the top three finalists.
Ridge: Which is probably right up your alley, seeing as you're a musician, right?
Oliver: Hope told you.
Ridge: Yeah. Why don't you stick around, give us your input? Sweetheart, go ahead.
Brooke: I'm surprised Steffy and Taylor aren't here. It's odd they wouldn't want to weigh in with their opinions.
Taylor: (Sighs) I have, like, one million details to work out.
Whip: Thanks. Well, don't worry about the details of the honeymoon. I'll take care of those things myself.
Taylor: Well, I was thinking more about where we're going to live after we get married.
Whip: Well, I was thinking maybe you'd move in with me.
Taylor: That's-- it's like a tin-- it's like a studio, you know--
Whip: I know, but I was thinking, you know, it's better for close contact.
Taylor: (Scoffs) I was thinking more that you could move in here... with me.
Whip: Yeah, and the kids and Stephanie.
Taylor: Well... (Sighs) I realize that Stephanie is my ex-mother-in-law...
Taylor: But she's also my best friend. And, well, I don't want anybody to feel uncomfortable.
Whip: Oh, well, uncomfortable? Please, Stephanieís never given up hope that you and Ridge would find yourselves back to one another again. (Sighs) Would it-- look, sweetheart, I mean, I'd do almost anything for you, but... you're yankin' my chain, aren't you?
Whip: Oh, you're bad. You're--you're bad.
Whip: All right, so listen. So if-if I do move in, it's sayonara, Stephanie? Yes?
Taylor: I'll talk to her.
Whip: Okay. Thank you.
Taylor: I-I'll work it out. Believe me. I always get these things done with her. She's awesome. I'll--I'll work it out.
Whip: All right.
Taylor: Don't worry.
Whip: Well, what about Thomas and Steffy? You think they're gonna be okay with me hanging around?
Thomas: Have you hanging around for what?
Taylor: Oh, you guys, could you please sit down?
Steffy: Nope, canít. Running late.
Taylor: Just for a second.
Steffy: No, running late.
Whip: You know what? Maybe I should go, too.
Taylor: No, you stop and answer Thomas' question.
Whip: No, no, no, no, I mean, obviously they have things to do, and after all, maybe you want to tell them yourself.
Taylor: Yeah, see, he asked a question, did you not? Did you not ask a question?
Steffy: Tell us what? (Gasps) Oh, my--Mom, oh, my God!
Taylor: (Laughs) Whip gave it to me last night.
Whip: Yeah. Yeah. We're getting married. I mean, unless, of course, you guys are gonna throw some kind of big hissy fit and say that there's no other man in the world for your mother but Ridge, in which case, I'm just gonna have to take her away and elope. So you're gonna have to be real careful about what you say here, except for, "Mom, we're really happy for you, and, Whip, welcome to the family."
Steffy: (Chuckles) I don't know.
Hope: So what do you guys think?
Ridge: It's definitely more in line with what we had in mind. Uh, you know...
Brooke: Yeah, looks like we may have our winner.
Hope: Uh, well, there's-- there's still one more.
Ridge: Well, I think it's only fair that we hear it.
Ridge: Okay, well, that's nice.
Ridge: That's really nice. That's more along the lines of what I'm thinking.
Hope: Yeah? Yeah? You really like it?
Ridge: I do. Very much, actually.
Brooke: Uh, I think we should get in touch with the composer and make a trial deal right now.
Ridge: Do you have a number on him?
Hope: Oh, no need to call, Dad. He's standing right here.
Whip: Guys, guys, guys, look, it's--it's a joke, all right? Admittedly, it's a lame one, but anyway, it's true. I-I asked this-- this beautiful woman to marry me, and miracle of miracles, she said yes.
Taylor: Would you two say something?
Thomas: Well, we... (Chuckles) would, if we knew what to say.
Whip: Well, how about "congratulations"? That usually works best in these situations.
Whip: Unless you can't bring yourselves to because of how much you wish your parents were back together.
Taylor: Is that what you're feeling?
Whip: Guy because if it is, I understand, all right? Look, I know that you spent a lot of wonderful years in this house sharing a lot of memories as a family, which is probably why I feel like such an interloper, you know? Like I don't have the right to-- to intrude, but... the reality is, that was then, and this is now. Look, you can still have those memories that you had here in this house, but I personally think that we could be a pretty cool family, too. I mean, I'm not pushing you into anything. And--I just love your mother so very much, and all I want is-- is her happiness, and I know that's what both of you want, too.
Taylor: Do you see why I'm so fortunate to be marrying this man?
Steffy: Yeah. Yeah, we both see it.
Thomas: It's obvious how much he cares about you.
Steffy: And I can see it in your eyes how much you care about him. Itís...
Whip: So do we have your blessing?
Steffy: Get over here. (Chuckles) (Speaking indistinctly)
Steffy: Oh, Mom.
Whip: Thank you.
Steffy: Do you know what you're getting yourself and us into?
Taylor: I don't know. I think so. But just in case, I will be needing a maid of honor to help me keep my groom in line.
Steffy: No, you-- you're asking--
Taylor: I would be honored. Yes, I want you to be my maid of honor. Would you? Could you?
Steffy: Oh, of course.
Steffy: Oh, my gosh. Thank you. (Sighs) So who's standing up for you?
Whip: I was going to ask my cousin Oliver.
Steffy: Oh. Huh. So, um, when's the wedding?
Thomas: Oh, that-- that soon, huh?
Whip: Look, I-I know this seems a little bit rushed, but believe me, I think it's really the start of something very, very special.
Taylor: I think this does it for the guest list. Can you think of anybody else?
Whip: Mm, let me see. Well, what about Ridge? I don't see his name on that list.
Taylor: No, for obvious reasons.
Whip: Why? Because you think it's unfair to me?
Taylor: He's my ex-husband, sweetheart.
Whip: Yes, sweetheart, I understand that, but he's also the father of your children, both of whom are gonna be at this wedding. You know, you're both still family. I don't think there's any reason why their dad can't be there, as well. Plus, I think it's a good idea for Ridge to see a man fully commit himself to you in way that he never could, in the way that Stephanie had always hoped that he would. Oh, gosh, Stephanie?
Taylor: Are you worried about how she's going to react when she finds out that--
Whip: (Scoffs) You think we should hide all the butcher knives?
Stephanie: Taylor? You still here? Why didn't somebody wake me up? God, I hate sleeping in late.
Whip: (Quietly) Here goes nothing. (Normal voice) Stephanie, hi. Good morning. Good morning. Here, have a--have a seat.
Taylor: Good morning.
Whip: Like some coffee? (Clears throat) Look, I know it's-- it's a little odd to see me here so early this morning, but, um, the thing of it is, I, um, I asked Taylor last night to marry me, and she said yes. Now we've-- we've told the children, and they're very, very happy about it. Not as happy, of course, as they would be if their parents were remarrying, but I think they're okay. And she's actually asked Steffy to be her maid of honor, and I'm gonna ask my, uh, my c--my cousin Oliver to be my best man, which, from what I understand, I think they got a thing for each other, so it might work out really well. So the whole thing here is that, um, I'm hoping that you'll-- you'll help Taylor with the wedding arrangements and, um, well, I just--I just want you to know that I intend to do everything in my power to give Taylor the kind of love that she deservers.
Stephanie: I didn't realize that Steffy was interested in Oliver.
Hope: Isn't he awesome? I-I knew they would love your music. I knew it.
Ridge: That's exactly what we've been looking for.
Oliver: You're offering me the job?
Ridge: Can you start right away?
Ridge: Then I'm offering you the job.
Oliver: Thank you, sir. Thank you both. Wow.
Ridge: I'm gonna start some paperwork here.
Hope: (Squeals) I can't wait to celebrate.
Oliver: Thank you so much.
Whip: Stephanie, y-you did hear what I said, didn't you? I said that I proposed to Taylor, and she--
Stephanie: She said yes. I heard.
Taylor: She does this sometimes.
Stephanie: Well, it's just-
Taylor: Is this your way of saying--
Stephanie: It's really just that it's all so--
Taylor: I-It's sudden. I know. I know.
Stephanie: Are you absolutely sure this is what you want?
Taylor: Yes, and I want to move on with my life, yes.
Stephanie: With him?
Taylor: Yes. Yes, with Whip. I want--I want to move on with him because he makes me happy, and he makes me smile. He makes me laugh. I can't think of anything more I could ask for from a husband. I know-- I know you had other hopes. And--and...
Taylor: Dreams for--
Stephanie: Shh. I don't want you to think I'm not happy for you. I love you. I . And you've got a glow about you that you haven't had for a long time.
Stephanie: I'm grateful for that. I have to guess that this is the guy responsible for it, so that makes me happy, too. I'm also happy that the, uh, the children are okay with this. We're gonna have to make some adjustments, though, some, you know, something about the living arrangements.
Taylor: Whip's moving in here at the house. Y-You can stay if you-- if you want. I just didn't want you to feel like you might be rude by saying you want to move out.
Stephanie: That's so sweet of you.
Taylor: And nobody should be--
Stephanie: That's so sweet of you to ask me to stay. There isn't any place I'd rather be. Unless, of course, Whip has some objections.
Whip: Me? No, no. Hey, why--why--why would I? No, if you-- you want to stay, Stephanie, I mean, we can-- we'll make it work.
Stephanie: You must be absolutely bonkers over this girl that you would ask me to stay and live here. Of course I'm gonna move out.
Whip: God bless you.
Stephanie: I mean, you have to have your privacy. (Chuckles) However, Mr. Whipple Jones, I'm putting you on notice. This woman is very precious to me, so you'd better treat her that way.
Whip: Yes, ma'am.
Stephanie: I have a reputation for eliminating people. You don't want that to happen, do you?
Whip: No, I donít.
Whip: (Sighs) You are the greatest blessing I have ever had in my entire life. And I am never, ever gonna take you for granted.
Taylor: Never, ever?
Taylor: Never, ever.
Hope: So, you, how does it feel to be Forresterís new music guru?
Oliver: I still can't believe it.
Hope: Well, I can, especially with your talent.
Oliver: I think it had less to do with that and more to do with you.
Hope: No, it wasn't me. Your music track sold itself.
Oliver: But you made sure it got heard. I owe you big time.
Hope: Look, I'm just glad it worked out, and not for purely unselfish reasons.
Oliver: Sweet Hope Logan? An ulterior motive?
Hope: Well, I mean, I do want the best music for the commercial, but with you working on the campaign, we'll get to see each other every day.
Oliver: So diabolical.
Hope: I know.
Oliver: I guess I am also, since that's the best part of this gig for me, too.
Thomas: (Whispers) Who you spying on?
Steffy: (Quietly) It's not what you think.
Thomas: (Normal voice) Oh, uh, what do you think I think?
Steffy: That I want to cause trouble for Hope, 'cause I donít.
Thomas: Oh, come on, sis. I saw how you lit up when you heard Oliver was gonna be at the wedding. You've got a thing for this guy.
Steffy: So what if I do?
Thomas: Well, what about Hope? She likes him, too. Oh, maybe that's the big attraction.
Steffy: Okay, okay. Hope is a nice enough kid, but that's about it. She's just a girl. And the guy in there-- he is like... (Chuckles) he's--he's hot, okay? She may have her eye on him for the moment, but it's not gonna last. He needs a woman, not a teenager.
Thomas: A woman like you?
Steffy: Whip and Mom are getting married. I am the maid of honor, and Oliver is the best man. You know what happens at weddings. Romance is in the air, okay? And that's when I'll make my move.
