Graham: I own you.
Brooke: Hope. Hope, sweetheart, can you hear me? It's your mother. Hope?
Woman: That's her name, "Hope"?
Doctor: She's your daughter?
Ridge: Our daughter, yes.
Doctor: How long has she been like this?
Brooke: We donít know. We got a call, and we rushed over. The paramedics were already there.
Ridge: She's gonna be okay, alright?
Doctor: Get me a blood and urine tox screen with chem-7 and update her vitals every ten minutes.
Brooke: She's so still.
Doctor: These types of drugs can stay in their system for up to seven hours.
Ridge: Are you saying she might not come to for a while?
Brooke: But she will come to.
Doctor: I know you're both very worried, but we're gonna take really good care of your daughter.
Ridge: So what happens now?
Doctor: We're gonna put her on an E.K.G. If we're dealing with the drug we suspect, it can suppress respiration and heartbeat, so we'll want to monitor it closely. Is she on any kind of medication?
Ridge: Other than what that bastard gave her, no.
Brooke: No, she's really a very healthy young girl-- very sweet, very innocent, and she still is. He didn't take that from her. I just pray she didn't go through what I went through.
Charlie: How's Hope?
Ridge: The doctor's still examining her.
Charlie: She'll be okay, man.
Ridge: No thanks to me. If I hadn't said what I said, if she hadn't overheard me--
Charlie: Look, whatever else happened tonight, one thing's obvious-- you love your daughter.
Ridge: Have you heard from your dad? Have they caught that S.O.B. yet?
Charlie: We'll get him.
Whip: What is that, about a dozen now?
Whip: Well, texts to Nick.
Bridget: Oh, well, I'm gonna keep sending them until I hear from him.
Graham: Shut up!
Sandy: That's what it's all about for men like you, isn't it, Graham? Power and control.
Graham: Shut up.
Sandy: I know I wasn't the first.
Graham: Shut up!
Sandy: Do we even have names?
Graham: I said--
Sandy: I mean, are we even people, Graham?
Graham: Aah! I said shut up!
Sandy: You don't even remember us. Oh, you like it quiet, right? You like your women drugged and comatose?
Graham: You talk too damn much.
Sandy: The police are gonna be here any minute, Graham.
Graham: You are not doing this to me. Aah! (Grunts)
Sandy: (Breathing heavily)
Lt. Baker: All right, that won't be necessary. I'll take it over from here.
Graham: Man, I didn't-- I didn't--I didn't do anything. Man, I swear.
Lt. Baker: Graham Darros, I'm placing you under arrest.
Graham: No, look, she's lying. I swear to God, man.
Lt. Baker: I've got evidence that says otherwise.
Graham: No, you don't! I didn't do anything, man.
Lt. Baker: You're under arrest for the sexual assault of Agnes Jones. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford one, one will be provided for you. Do you understand these rights as I've outlined them to you?
Graham: I want my lawyer.
Lt. Baker: You'll get your lawyer. Let's go. Come on.
Brooke: She wasnít. He didnít. (Sighs)
Charlie: I've got news. Darros is in custody.
Ridge: (Sighs) They better lock that bastard up for good.
Oliver: I guess you're not the only one. My sister's not answering her cell, either.
Bridget: Really? Huh. Oh, I bet Sandy is so excited to have you back in town with her.
Oliver: We've been apart too long-- way too long.
Oliver: A lot's happened in her life.
Whip: Like becoming Nick and Bridgetís surrogate, you mean?
Bridget: See, my husband and I lost a baby girl a few years back, and we were just devastated. But thanks to Sandy... (Laughs) well, you know I just wish that we could do something for her that would mean as much.
Sandy: (Sighs) It's over, Nick. (Laughs) It's finally over. (Sniffles)
Nick: Yes, it is.
Sandy: You know that I thank God you came into my life when you did, because he was-- he was still out there, Nick, and I couldn't get to him. You changed that. You believed in me.
Sandy: Aah! Aah!
Nick: What's wrong?
Sandy: I don't know. My stomach.
Nick: What--what--what is it?
Sandy: Aah! Aah!
Nick: O-Okay. Okay. Hang on. Hang on. All right, okay. Come on, let's--we'll get you to the hospital. Real slow.
Nick: Come on. Come on.
Oliver: My sister has a good heart, but I never pictured her doing the surrogacy thing.
Bridget: Oh, really? Yeah, I--you know, actually, I think she was a little bit overwhelmed at first, but once she got to know us and realized just how excited we were that she was gonna be carrying our baby...
Oliver: But you-- you met through an agency, though, right?
Bridget: Yeah. I read her profile, and I have to say, it was weird. I felt an instant connection. It sounds odd, doesn't it? Because, I mean, we're--we're total strangers, but we have a lot in common. She's a very private person. But I also believe she's very honest. You know, that's something I value above all else. There's been times in my past when things have been kept from me, and, well, you know, I get hurt. But I trust Sandy. I mean, I'm trusting her with my baby's life.
(Elevator bell dings)
Nick: Could you page Dr. Caspary, please?
Woman: What happened?
Nick: She's pregnant. She fell. She's having cramps.
Woman: What's your wife's name?
Nick: This isn't my wife. Her name's Sandy Sommers. I'm Nick Marone. Could you just get the doctor, please?
Woman: Dr. Davis, telephone, please. Dr. Davis, telephone.
Ridge: My head's just spinning--all this stuff with Nick and Sandy.
Brooke: Nick wanted to help her. (Sighs) That's why he came to me, because, well, he realized that she was traumatized like me in the past, and she hadn't dealt with it.
Ridge: She opened up to you?
Brooke: Yes. It was terrible what happened-- the same as what happened to Hope. She was drugged.
Ridge: Strange that as it turns out, Sandy's attacker is the same guy.
Brooke: They found a match on the D.N.A. from a rape kit somehow.
Ridge: I guess Nick's been doing some investigating.
Brooke: (Sighs) Thank God. Thank God they went to Graham's loft tonight.
Ridge: Who would have guessed that big-name photographer turns out to be the lowlife he is? They just better keep that guy locked up.
Brooke: We were so lucky. Hope is safe thanks to Nick and Sandy. You know, Sandy-- (Sighs) given everything that happened to her and her name change and everything from her past, she didn't want Bridget to know. And she begged Nick not to say anything to her. She just didn't want to complicate the pregnancy.
Ridge: Well, it's complicated now, isn't it?
Nick: Where's the doctor?
Woman: She's on her way.
Nick: You said that five minutes ago.
Sandy: It's okay, Nick. You know what? It's easing. The cramping's easing up a little. (Sighs)
Dr. Caspary: That's what I like to hear.
Dr. Caspary: How did this happen?
Nick: She fell, hit the floor.
Sandy: And I was okay, you know? And then a few minutes later, I felt this really sharp pain in my stomach.
Dr. Caspary: We need to do some tests. How severe is your pain? Medication might suppress the baby's heartbeat, which is the last thing we want.
Sandy: No, I'm fine--I don't want any medication. I'm fine.
Dr. Caspary: All right, let's get her on an I.V. I'll do a quick exam. Nick?
Sandy: Wait. Bridget-- she's gonna be so scared. Maybe we shouldn't say anything until we know.
Nick: No. Listen, I've kept too much from her already. I got to tell her everything. God help me find the words.
Whip: Bridget, staring at it is not gonna make it ring.
Bridget: I know. I'm just getting worried. That's all.
(Cell phone rings)
Whip: There you go.
Bridget: Oh, my God. Nick, where are you?
Nick: I'm at University Hospital. I need you to get over here as soon as you can.
Bridget: W-why? What happened?
Nick: It's Sandy.
Bridget: Oh, my God, what about--what about Sandy? Is she--is she-- what--what-- is it--is it the baby?
Nick: Don't panic. We're good so far. I just need you to get here.
Brooke: I remember another time being at your bedside like this, praying that you would wake up, that you would be okay. You were just a little girl. Nick saved you then, too. Please open your eyes. Hope, open your eyes. There's just so much I want to-- I want to say to you. (Sighs) Thank you.
Brooke: Hope? Sweetheart? It's your mom. Your mom and dad are right here. Everything's gonna be just fine. (Sighs)
Ridge: Hey, kiddo.
Hope: Where--where am I?
Brooke: You're in the hospital, and you've been unconscious for quite a while.
Hope: What happened?
Ridge: You don't remember?
Brooke: Uh, well--
Hope: I-I drove to Graham's, and--and he gave me wine. Oh.
Brooke: Maybe we should talk about this a little later when the drug wears off.
Ridge: Graham put a drug in your wine. He planned to take advantage of you, sweetheart. Luckily, help got there before that happened.
Brooke: He is a very evil man. But he is behind bars now.
Ridge: We're just, uh, very sorry that you were so upset with us.
Brooke: We feel responsible for what you overheard. But, Hope, it's not what we meant. We are not ashamed of you. And no matter what you think, you are not a mistake. You are a blessing. I thank God every single day for you. And you have to believe that. I love you so much. And you are wanted and so very loved.
Brooke: (Sighs) (Sniffles) (Sighs)
(Elevator bell dings)
Bridget: Nick! Where is she? Where is Sandy? Is the baby okay?
Nick: I don't know anything right now. They're running tests. Nobody's told me anything.
Bridget: Is she with Dr. Caspary?
Nick: No, she got called away. There was some other expectant mother in crisis.
Bridget: Crisis? Oh, my God, Nick. Is this a crisis? Sandy, hi.
Sandy: I am so sorry.
Bridget: You're sorry? Honey, what happened? Everything was fine. You and the baby were doing so well. You would have told me if something was wrong, wouldn't you? You didn't keep anything from me, did you?
Bridget: (Sniffles) Oh, Dr. Caspary. (Sniffles, Sighs) What are you seeing? Is there any sign of fetal distress?
Dr. Caspary: Not so far.
Sandy: Thank God.
Bridget: What about Sandyís ultrasound?
Dr. Caspary: It was clear.
Nick: Well, this is all good news then.
Dr. Caspary: It's certainly positive, yes, but I want to caution everyone. We're not out of the woods yet. Sandy took a hard fall. There was serious cramping. There's still a fetal heartbeat, so the baby is viable. The next few hours are critical. Nurse, can I speak to you a moment? (Mouths words)
Bridget: You fell? (Sighs) H-How? Honey, w-when did this happen? Nick? What happened? Well, what happened? W-why won't you answer me? Please. Sandy, obviously, I need to know why you're here. Just tell me. Nick, please. I need to know.
