Brooke: Ridge, I can't believe I just heard you say that.

Ridge: Well, what do you expect me to say, Brooke?

Brooke: Not that it's over. I knew you'd be disappointed about Steffy, but still.

Ridge: Look, I just can't take this anymore. I can't do it. This time, Brooke, you just pushed me too far.

Whip: (Sighs)

Sandy: I'm sorry that I couldn't be honest with you...

Whip: (Whispers) Oh, who cares?

Sandy: Before, you know?

Whip: Why are you sorry? I'm the one who set you up with that photo shoot.

Sandy: You were trying to help me.

Whip: Yeah.

Sandy: I thought that I was gonna get my break in fashion.

Whip: Is there anything I can do now?

Sandy: No.

Whip: Well, you seem like you've gotten some help, you know? You're able to you're able to talk about it a little bit more.

Sandy: Thanks to Nick.

Whip: Oh, he took you to the police, right.

Sandy: He's done a lot more than that for me. After that night, every time a man came near me, I just turned to stone. But now

Whip: Not so much, huh?

Sandy: I'm... I don't know. I'm…I'm healing. You know, things that used to seem impossible just don't anymore.

Whip: Like what?

Sandy: I don't know. Just maybe having a normal life, finding happiness, maybe even falling in love. (Chuckles)

Whip: Well, not with Nick, if that's what you're feeling.

Sandy: What? No. What I'm feeling is gratitude. Whip Jones, what are you thinking?

Whip: (Laughs) Nothing.

Sandy: What, because I'm carrying his baby, I must be falling for him? He is very married and very much in love with his wife. And I am just grateful to be able to give this to them.

(Door opens)

Sandy: Look, don't worry. I'm not living out some crazed fantasy.

(Indistinct conversation)

Nick: You sure about that? So you guys want to tell me what you're talking about?

Katie: Don't let it get to you what Steffy and Taylor said.

Hope: Is it true? Because if it is, I mean, if giving me this chance is just some vendetta against Steffy and the Forresters, then I don't want it. I don't want anything to do with it.

Brooke: Ridge, please, you're overreacting. I understand you're upset, but...

Ridge: Do you understand why?

Brooke: You feel that Steffy’s been slighted.

Ridge: Her campaign was great, Brooke.

Brooke: Yes, it was, but Katie liked Hope's idea better.

Ridge: So all this talk about being on the same team, forgiving and forgetting, loyalty and commitment, we've just been kidding ourselves, right? Well, it's not gonna work.

Brooke: What are you talking about? Are you just giving up? You can't do that, Ridge. We've been through too much.

Ridge: Logan, I wanted to leave when Bill first took over. I stayed to protect my children's legacy. But if Thomas and Steffy are just gonna be kicked to the sidelines here, what the hell am I doing? What the hell am I doing here? If my kids don't have a significant role in Forrester Creations, then I just don't want to be here.

Nick: So you told Whip?

Whip: Well, I wish she would have come to me sooner.

Sandy: Better late than never.

Whip: Yeah, but I understand why. Seeing me would have dredged up all those memories.

Sandy: Well, you can't solve a problem if you're afraid to look at it, right?

Whip: Yeah. Yeah, I wish I would have remembered more about that night.

Nick: Well, until we get a D.N.A. hit or some sort of link to another case, these police are at a standstill.

Whip: Yeah, but we're still gonna have to find the guy.

Sandy: And I want that. I want that so much. I want to catch him and put him away so he can't ever do this to another woman.

Hope: If I wanted to play games, I could be at home in front of my computer right now. That's not why I'm here.

Katie: You don't want to move up in the company? You don't want to help us succeed?

Hope: I am an intern. I should be making coffee.

Katie: They did get to you.

Hope: Look, I didn't see all of Steffy’s presentation, but what I saw rocked.

Katie: Yeah, it was polished. It was well put together.

Hope: But you chose mine?

Katie: And you want to know why. I told you. I explained it, but you want to know if I'm lying.

Hope: Were you?

Katie: "Hope for the Future" is a good concept. It's a message that people need to hear right now. I want the women who buy our clothes to feel like anything is possible. I did not choose this campaign out of spite or revenge. I chose it because I like what it says to our clients. I like what it says about us. But we can't do this without you. So are you on board?

Hope: Okay. Let's do it.

Katie: Good. Great. I will tell Graham that you're up for the test shoot. Go find Madison. She'll give you something to wear.

Steffy: You wanted to see me.

Katie: Yeah. We're gonna do a test shoot with Hope.

Steffy: Good luck with that.

Katie: Oh, you're still head of P.R. This campaign may not be your idea, but you still need to promote it. That's your job. Unless you don't want it.

Steffy: You'd like that, wouldn't you? That's why you're doing this. You want me to quit.

Ridge: Look, I am thrilled that Hope is showing so much initiative. Steffy brought a polished, integrated marketing proposal to the table. And if Katie just rejected it out of hand, then she's not thinking in the company's best interest. It sounds to me like she has an agenda, and I'm not gonna be a part of it.

Brooke: (Sighs) It really hurts me, Ridge, that you're reacting this way. You're like a father to Hope.

Ridge: Yes, I am. I love her, and that hasn't changed. I don't want anything to happen to her. I don't want anybody to ever hurt her. But Hope's first day on the job? I'm telling you, Logan, it's just too much. This is not gonna be good for her or the company.

Brooke: If you had just seen her presentation, I mean, how excited and glowing she was. Just take a look at the test shoot, okay? Can you do that? Give it a chance.

Taylor: (Sighs)

(Pager beeps)

Brooke: I have to go. They're starting the test shoot. We're not finished talking about this, okay?

Taylor: (Sighs)

Nick: You were at the party, Whip. You remember anything? Anybody say anything to you about wanting you to leave, not wanting a family member of Sandy's there, anything?

Whip: No, no, not that I can remember. Look, you asked Graham if he saw anything.

Sandy: Yeah, but he didn’t. He couldn't believe it when I told him. He was completely shocked.

Nick: Who's Graham?

Sandy: He was the photographer. It was his party. It was his studio.

Nick: Well, wouldn't he know who was there?

Whip: Yeah. We should get in touch with him.

Sandy: Yeah, but how? I mean, he's probably got a huge entourage around him now. How am I supposed to get through?

Nick: An entourage? Why? Is this guy some big deal?

Whip: Well, no, not back then, but he was just trying to make a name for himself. But, yes, Graham Darros is a very big deal.

Graham: (Sighs) You know, I thought I was gonna be out of a job when Steffy told me the "Afterparty" campaign was a no-go.

Katie: I just wanted something new, fresh.

Graham: Thus "Hope for the Future." I like it.

Katie: Good. Good. I'm glad. I'm really excited you're gonna be shooting with us.

Graham: Me, too.

Katie: Oh, Hope, perfect timing.

Graham: Aha, and this is the enchanting young lady we'll be focusing on.

Hope: (Laughs)

Katie: Hope Logan, meet Graham Darros.

Hope: It's good to meet you. I'm so psyched.

Graham: Oh, me, too. We're gonna have a lot of fun.

Hope: Good. I'm counting on it.

Graham: Come with me. Come on. Let's check out these lights here.

Katie: Ah, perfect timing. We were just gonna start the test shoot.

Brooke: We need to talk.

Katie: What's going on?

Brooke: Well, that's what I'd like to know. You blindsided me with Hope's campaign.

Katie: I thought you'd be thrilled.

Brooke: I was at first. But now I'm worried.

Graham: All right, let's take some pictures, huh?

Hope: (Giggles)

Graham: (Chuckles)

Katie: Graham, she's a beautiful young girl, but I want you to capture her inner beauty.

Graham: (Sighs) Well, that's the point. All right, now I just want you to relax and look gorgeous. You've been doing that your whole life.

Hope: (Giggles)

Graham: You ready? All right. Perfect. Now give me a little more profile. All right, eyes right at the camera. Nice. Nice. Beautiful. Turn back towards me. Okay, nice. Chin up a little bit. Big smile. Okay, that's a little too big.

Hope: (Giggles)

Graham: That’s perfect. That's good right there. Perfect. Love it. I love it.

Hope: (Giggles)

Graham: (Chuckles)

Katie: I don't know why you're worried.

Graham: That was it. Perfect. Perfect. I love that. Natural.

Brooke: This is all just happening so fast.

Katie: You don't think she can handle it?

Graham: You were born to do this, huh?

Brooke: She wants it. I know that.

Graham: Look at that.

Katie: I think she's going to be fabulous. Our "Hope for the Future."

Graham: Perfect. Beautiful. Okay, smile with your eyes for me now.

Taylor: It's good you took a good strong stand with Brooke.

Ridge: I just don't want Hope caught in the cross fire.

Taylor: Oh, this is about a lot more than Hope.

Steffy: Dad, you so have to do something.

Ridge: Sweetheart, I'm so sorry for all this.

Steffy: Yeah, so am I. I'm sorry I took this P.R. spot. What's the point? All I'm doing is getting pushed aside.

Taylor: No, your father knows exactly how you feel.

Steffy: Yeah, it's bad enough Katie killed my campaign. And now she wants me to help hope with hers? Forget it. I'm not teaching her how to do my job. Because that's what's happening.

Ridge: Oh, come on. Hold on now.

Steffy: Katie hates me, Dad. She wants me out.

Ridge: Now why would she hate you?

Steffy: Because I'm a Forrester. That's what this is about. It's an "in your face" to all of us. She has her sisters back on her side, and now she's using Hope. It's all about payback, Dad.

Ridge: I'm worried about it, too, honey. You have every right to be upset. What Katie did to you was unfair. We have to find some way to deal with this, because my children are not gonna be shut out. I'm not gonna allow it.

Nick: All right, this guy's a big-time photographer, and I run a fashion house. I think he'll speak to me, yes? So wait a minute, what's the name again? Graham Darros?

Whip: Yeah, yeah.

Sandy: Yeah, but it's been five years. You guys, he's not gonna remember that night any more than Whip does.

Whip: Yeah, but you said before that he felt terrible back then. He may have remembered something. Come on, it's not gonna hurt to maybe give the guy a call.

Sandy: Okay.

Nick: Here we go. Graham Darros.

(Camera shutter clicks)

Graham: Beautiful. Huh. God, you are so beautiful. All right, chin up a little bit.

Sandy: Um, you know, I don't want to be a model. I just want a head shot.

Graham: Yeah, but you could be, baby... (Echoing) baby, baby, baby...

Whip: Sandy? Honey, are you okay?

Nick: What came up for ya? You think this Graham guy, that he could be the one?

Sandy: No. I think it's just seeing his face and thinking back to that night. But... (Sniffles) no, it can't be. I just don't remember. I was drugged. I don't know. I just don't-- I don't know.

Graham: I will see you very soon.

Hope: You really think so?

Graham: Of course I do. You know, I was looking forward to shooting all the Logan ladies, but focusing all my energy on you, sweetie, all by yourself, it's gonna be really special.

Katie: You seem agitated. Didn't you like the shoot?

Brooke: (Sighs) No, I... (sighs) I thought Hope was terrific. She's a natural confident, youthful everything Bill would want in a new collection.

Katie: But...

Brooke: (Sighs) Look, I know you wouldn't do anything deliberately to harm my daughter, but I know what jealousy can do to a woman and how far a woman might go to protect her marriage.

Katie: You're questioning my motives.

Brooke: I didn't tell Ridge anything about what happened between Steffy and Bill, but he is concerned. He's concerned that Hope might be in over her head. So I have to ask you, do you have an agenda here?

Katie: Yes, I do. To look out for Forrester. You see the models in these magazines. They're young. They're beautiful, just like Hope. They're reaching out to a new generation. Bill wants to capture the youth market. Hook them young, and they will stay with you for the rest of their lives. Hope is the key. She is perfect to carry on our tradition. I'm C.E.O. I made a call. Steffy and her family may not like it, but they have to live with it. And I'm sorry if that causes problems for you and Ridge.

Brooke: (Sighs) Well, I don't want this to come between us. But unfortunately, Taylor is making this a battle about daughter versus daughter. And it's only going to make a difficult situation even worse.

Taylor: I'm not trying to belittle Hope's work, but... (Scoffs) there was no competition between those two presentations, Ridge. Katie was clearly biased. And Brooke, she doesn't see it because she's biased, too.

Ridge: Maybe she is. But then so are you. Any parent would be.

Taylor: (Sighs) So where does that leave you?

Ridge: (Sighs)

Taylor: In the middle, conflicted. You know, you're feeling badly about having to prove your commitment to Brooke and your family again.

Ridge: Hope is my family, too, though.

Taylor: It just feels all a little too familiar, doesn't it? Isn't this what happens every single time the two of you try to make a go out of it? There... (Sighs) there's always another crisis, and you end up in the middle. Except this time it's worse because it involves your children and their future, Ridge. And you heard what she said. She backs Katie up. And she's going to expect you to do the same thing. (Sighs) And you know what she'll use, Ridge. She's gonna use Hope, and she's going to use the fact that you're her stepfather and you need to prove if you really love her or not. This is not about a marketing campaign at all, Ridge. Nothing. It has more to do with Brooke and her loyalty to her family and the Logans and how they operate. This is all this is-- loyalty. I don't think that Brooke is trying to hurt you. I think she's just she's just doing what she does, you know? It's a kind of selfish love. She's always going to put her family first, herself and then her sisters, and now, of course, it's her daughter. (Sighs) You know, what it meant to you, what it's doing to you, that isn't even a thought in her head. And when she forces you to question whether or not you're capable of loving Hope more than your own daughter, that is gonna break your heart because then you'll feel guilty. You're in a no-win situation. There's nothing you can do. And I'm sorry--I'm sorry that I'm seeing you go through this again. You just don't deserve it, Ridge. You don’t. I'm so sorry.
