Katie: (Sighs) We're not quite back to normal yet, are we? Are you still upset with me for leaving you last night?
Bill: I just really wish you hadn't done that, more than you realize.
Katie: (Sighs) Look, we had our first fight, and it was a big one. (Chuckles) But it's over, and we've forgiven each other. And I told you before, you will never, ever spend the night alone again... okay? I promise.
Thomas: Well, I'm glad you're not gonna do anything crazy with Spencer, because whatever twisted feelings you have for the jerk--
Steffy: I don't have feelings for him.
Thomas: But you said that--
Steffy: I think he's fascinating. That's all. I-- it doesn't mean I care for him or I like him. I-I don’t.
Thomas: Hey. Hey, Dad.
Ridge: Seen your granddad?
Steffy: No, not yet.
Brooke: He'll be here.
Ridge: We need to present a united front at this meeting. Whatever problems we've had, whatever hurt feelings, things getting in the way, we gotta let go of all that stuff, okay? We're all Forresters.
Eric: Hear, hear.
Ridge: Bill Spencer kicked us around a bit yesterday.
Donna: Yes, well, he wasn't the only one.
Ridge: Well, that's not gonna happen again today. He caught us at a disadvantage. Look, our plan failed. We have to regroup.
Rick: How? Bill and Katie are on to us. We can't fool them again.
Brooke: Let's not lump them together.
Thorne: But they are together, aren't they?
Donna: They weren't together last night.
Brooke: They had a fight, a big one, and Katie ended up sleeping on our couch.
Rick: What? What happened?
Brooke: I guess she didn't like some of the things that Bill said.
Donna: Yeah, he can't be too happy that she sided with us.
Ridge: Look, Bill still owns this company. Their marriage could go up in smoke, but that doesn't change that fact.
Rick: All right, look, whatever. We have plan "B," right? Don't we?
(Knock on door)
Nick: Hey. Hi.
Sandy: Where's Bridget?
Nick: Uh, you know, she just ran into a friend down the hall, but she'll be here soon. What's up?
Sandy: I just, um, I've been thinking, you know, I-I want to-- I want to make sure we're on the same page here. I really don't want Bridget to know about me, about the attack, about Lt. Baker, about the kits, about any of it.
Nick: I've heard you.
Sandy: And you haven't told her?
Sandy: Good. I-I really don't want her to find out, Nick, ever.
Nick: Maybe you can help me understand here, because if this is about safety in any way, we can find--
Sandy: It's not about safety, my safety. It's not about him. This isn't even about me. This is about Bridget I'm thinking about.
Nick: Bridget will understand.
Nick: No, I know. She'll understand. She'll be totally understanding and--and compassionate and totally devastated. I don't want you to take this the wrong way, okay, because you have been so great, but you're a guy. You don't know. You know, w-when a woman thinks about what could happen... that kind of violation, it's ugly. Things are going really well-- my pregnancy, our friendship, my job at Jackie M. I don't want that ugliness to taint this experience.
Nick: Do you think it might be wiser, though, if--
Sandy: Nick! Come on. What do you think she sees when she looks at me? What does she feel? I'm carrying her child. I don't want anything to taint this experience for her, and I know that you don't either.
Bridget: Oh, hi, Sandy.
Sandy: How are you?
Bridget: Oh, my goodness. Isn't this exciting?
Ridge: If Bill were the kind of guy to put his marriage first, Katie’s loyalty could be an asset to us. But unfortunately, we're talking about "dollar" Bill Spencer here.
Rick: Yeah, he's not really committed to her, is he?
Ridge: She asked him to give the company back at Christmas. He refused. And that's when things were good between them.
Bill: Ah, well, well, gang's all here. Good morning, class.
Ridge: I thought we were meeting in Katie’s office.
Bill: Well, now we're meeting in this office. We didn't walk in on a planning session for another coup attempt, did we? Come on, people, where are your senses of humor? Well, everyone is obviously a little bit grumpy, so I will, uh, keep this brief. Playtime is over. I hope you enjoyed your little game. Now it's time to get back to work. I want to see first sketches on a real collection by the end of the week.
Eric: So you're absolutely sure you're not gonna fire us?
Bill: Well, what would be the fun in that?
Donna: But you can't trust us.
Bill: I don't have to trust you. I don't even have to like you. But Katie has convinced me it's in everyone's best interest to put this unfortunate incident behind us. So that's what we're going to do.
Rick: So what are you saying, Bill? You want to move on? You want to forget it, like it never happened?
Katie: As much as I wish that were possible, I would be naive to think that we could just go back to normal.
Donna: Whatever normal means.
Bill: It means that Katie isn't going to punish you for your mutiny.
Eric: So you're just gonna hold us hostage?
Ridge: What'd you say to us yesterday? You own us?
Bill: Well, that was a heated moment. I may have overreacted.
Ridge: This is an impossible situation, Bill. Why don't you do us all a favor and cut your losses?
Bill: Quit? (Laughs) No. Never. That's not even in my vocabulary. I bought this company to make it a success, to help all of you. You're the ones who plotted to bring it down.
Ridge: Because we don't want to work for you.
Bill: But you do work for me. You signed contracts. I pay you a ridiculous amount of money. And you should all be very grateful.
Katie: Okay, listen, there are no angels in this room. We've all done things that we shouldn't have. We can either stay ticked off at each other and this company can come to a screeching halt, or we can forgive and forget and hopefully put Forrester Creations back on top.
Eric: That's your solution for all of this? Forgiveness?
Katie: Can you think of a better one, Eric?
Bill: You know what? I'm willing to do it. What about all of you? Okay, you want to hate me, hate me, but I will never fire any of you. And this company will never, ever be back in your hands.
Dr. Caspary: Feeling nauseous?
Sandy: No, not yet. Should I be?
Dr. Caspary: No. Every pregnancy is different.
Bridget: I mean, some women go through their entire pregnancy, and they never have any morning sickness at all.
Nick: You might be one of the lucky ones.
Dr. Caspary: What about cramping? Dizziness?
Bridget: And, uh, any spotting at all?
Sandy: No. I'm healthy, happy. Everything's good.
Dr. Caspary: Let's see how the baby's doing, huh?
Rick: I can't believe it. She has got to be kidding me!
Ridge: Forgive and forget, that's Katie’s solution here.
Eric: That's not gonna happen. I mean, we used the same tactics against Bill that he used against us.
Brooke: We need a new plan, one that doesn't involve deceiving our sister.
Bill: I hope you weren't expecting a chorus of "Kumbaya."
Katie: From them or from you?
Bill: Hey, come on. I think I was pretty respectful for me, considering. Hey, if you're gonna want everybody to play nice, uh, you're gonna need a referee.
Thomas: I saw you and Bill looking at each other during the meeting.
Thomas: You are lucky dad didn't catch it, or Katie.
Steffy: I told you, you don't have to worry. Nothing happened between me and Bill last night. It was just a kiss.
Steffy: That's all. Nothing happened between us.
Thomas: You keep saying that. You keep saying that, but you run to the guy, and he keeps letting it happen. So I've gotta ask, are you sure there's nothing going on between you two?
Rick: Forrester Creations, a division of Spencer Publications.
Brooke: You have every right to be frustrated, Rick.
Eric: We all are, son. But our hands are tied.
Ridge: Well, I can't accept that.
Thorne: Well, I think we have to, at least for now.
Rick: Thorne's right, guys. We're under contract here. We have clients and press that are expecting a new collection.
Ridge: Bill's got us all exactly where he wants us.
Thomas: What do you think is really going on with Spencer and Katie?
Steffy: I think they hit a rough patch, but now they're solid.
Thomas: Ah, the duplicitous duo.
Steffy: It's not exactly we've been open and above board, Thomas.
Thomas: Well, fight fire with fire.
Steffy: What are you thinking?
Thomas: Come here. You're the only one of us who has any pull with Spencer.
Steffy: (Sighs) Well, he thinks I betrayed him.
Thomas: Not so much, though.
Steffy: He trusted me, gave me a big shot, and I blew it.
Thomas: Do you regret that, sticking with family, trying to pull off the coup with the Dare line?
Steffy: Of course not. I'll always back my family.
Thomas: Well, Spencer still let you into his house while Katie was gone...
Thomas: Still kissed you.
Steffy: Katie's back there now.
Thomas: I wonder if he told her.
Steffy: About me? No, no, probably not.
Thomas: So you've got something on him.
Steffy: Thomas, you're delving into some dangerous water, you know that?
Thomas: Yeah, but you see, I don't think dad can go on much longer the way things are.
Steffy: God, I told you, I have no intention of making another move on Bill. I'm not a Logan. It's not my style.
Thomas: I'm not suggesting that.
Steffy: Really? Kind of sounds like it.
Thomas: Look, Steff, you and Spencer have something. I'm not sure what exactly, but it's there, and you can't deny it. I'm just saying don't close that door.
Bridget: She said this procedure is gonna be very similar to the one we did before with you. Dr. Caspary's gonna sweep the wand over your abdomen, and, um, we'll get to see the baby, hopefully. There's not gonna be very much to see because it's so small right now, but we'll take some measurements and... and I will let Dr. Caspary finish explaining everything. (Laughs)
Dr. Caspary: (Laughs) The baby's developing very rapidly at this point, as you probably can feel? The fatigue?
Sandy: Oh, yes, that.
Dr. Caspary: It's actually a very good sign. Now are you taking your folic acid, as I suggested?
Sandy: Every day.
Dr. Caspary: Excellent.
(Baby's heart beating)
Dr. Caspary: Okay, here we are.
Sandy: Is that our baby? That's the baby?
Bridget: (Whispers) Yeah. (Normal voice) Yeah, that's our baby.
Nick: You see that tiny flashing light?
Sandy: Yeah. What is it?
Bridget: It's the heartbeat.
Bridget: (Sniffles) (mouths words)
Sandy: Thank you. It's such a joy to give you guys this life, because life is exactly what you've given me.
Bill: Katie's not here. I'm not sure, but I will give her the message that you...
Bill: Oh, wait. Hang on a second. I think she's right... never mind.
Steffy: The way you handled things.
Bill: Well, you know, sometimes it's wise to move on, put things in the past.
Steffy: Well, I wish you all the best. What, are you surprised? How many times do I have to tell you? I'm cool.
Bill: I know.
Nick: It's so small, like a little raisin.
Bridget: (Chuckles) Our perfect, healthy little raisin.
Nick: Well, you weren't worried, were you?
Bridget: Oh, yeah, a little. Weren't you?
Bridget: Oh, come on, not at all?
Nick: Bridget, name one bad thing that's happened to us since we got married.
Bridget: Oh, please, Nick, don't say that. Don't--no, knock on wood or something.
Nick: No, no, really. Serious. I'm serious.
Bridget: I don't want us--
Nick: No, I don't need to knock on wood.
Bridget: I'm serious, too.
Nick: Hey, hey, Bridget, I'm a sailor. I'm more superstitious about things than anybody. But this, I mean, please. We have been through our pain and our disappointments, and we've learned from our mistakes. This I see as our reward. And nobody deserves it more than you do. I mean, you should have something good happen to you, having to put up with me the rest of your life.
Katie: Bill really does just want all of us to move on.
Donna: He and Eric just have different ideas about what that means.
Katie: (Sighs) He can't let everyone go. You are Forrester Creations.
Donna: A division of Spencer Publications.
Katie: He'll tone down the rhetoric. I-I-I'm trying to help.
Brooke: We know that. We also know how difficult this is for you defending us after what we did.
Donna: Katie, look, if there was any other way...
Katie: We don't have to talk about it. I mean, I-is it that bad working for Bill? You know, I-I wanted this so badly, you know, all of us working together, my two sisters. W-when I took over the C.E.O. position, I-I-I thought that we could make this happen, and I'm not giving up hope. Deceit, betrayal-- those are things that I never, ever want to feel again, not from my sisters... and not from my husband.
Donna: Oh, um, I'll let you guys go, okay?
Ridge: Things with Katie are...
Brooke: I think we'll be okay.
Ridge: We will, too, Logan. We're gonna get this company back. And when that day comes, Bill Spencer will not touch my family again.
Steffy: So is everything good?
Bill: Katie and I are fine.
Steffy: Good. I'm--I'm glad to hear that.
Bill: Are you?
Steffy: Yes, absolutely. And I see you have your-- your necklace back again.
Bill: Yeah. If I'm, uh, gonna be working in a war zone, I thought I should dress for it.
Steffy: Mmm. "If I have to fight, I fight." What else did you tell me about it? It's not just symbolic. It's who you are. "Never give up. Never surrender." If you set a goal...
Bill: I reach it.
Steffy: Maybe I should get one. I got a tiny sword, and then we could have a sword fight. Huh? En garde.
Bill: Cute. And a little crazy.
Steffy: That I am. I do some crazy things sometimes. Don't worry. I'm a big girl. You and Katie made it through the storm. (Chuckles) Well, I hope you have a wonderful life together.
