Brooke: You're good, Bill, very persuasive. But it wouldn't do any good keeping Katie in the dark about this. What if she were to find out later? How would that look?
Bill: Who's going to tell her? You? Me? Steffy? Steffy's not going to tell Katie that she kissed me the night before our wedding.
Brooke: Well, you don't know that. Come on, Bill. She's obviously very attracted to you. What if she wanted to stir up some kind of trouble? That is if your story is true. And I certainly have my doubts.
Bill: I wouldn't have married your sister if I were vulnerable to Steffy or any other woman. I married Katie because I want to spend the rest of my life with her.
Brooke: I still think Katie should know. She trusts me. How could I not tell her?
Bill: (Sighs heavily)
Steffy: So... what do you think?
Ridge: What do you think?
Steffy: I think it's the best work you've ever done. I just wish Grandpa was here.
Ridge: Girls, thank you. That's all for today.
Woman: Thank you.
Ridge: Sweetheart, I wish he were here, too. But it's his pride-- coming to this company, working for Spencer.
Steffy: But this was your time to run Forrester. After all the years you put in, it's not fair.
Ridge: Sweetheart, you have an opportunity now. It's not the one I wanted to give you, but... (Sighs) you are doing terrific work, my dear. I'm very, very proud of you.
Katie: You should be. Your daughter is very talented.
Steffy: Thank you. Look, um, I gotta get back to work.
Katie: Your work has been pretty brilliant lately.
Ridge: Imagine how brilliant my work would be if the Forresters owned this company and not your husband.
Sandy: Nick, I think you're overreacting.
Nick: Well, if so, I'm sorry. I just get the feeling that you're trying to keep a distance.
Sandy: That's not true. Your wife is a remarkable woman. I really like her.
Nick: Yeah. I realize that you like my wife. It seems to be me you have the problem with. And that's what I'd like to talk about.
Katie: Have you seen these? They're new.
Katie: I--they're incredible. I-I mean, I am so excited about this new collection. And I think Ridge is, too. I know he would never admit it, but... then we have Steffy, our creative genius.
Brooke: Katie, there's something you need to know.
Sandy: You're a man, Nick. Of course I'm gonna be more comfortable relating to your wife.
Nick: Yeah, I-I get that. I-I just get the feeling, also, that there's something else going on here.
Sandy: There isn’t.
Nick: I want you to be comfortable, Sandy, not just with Bridget, but me, too. You know, I am the father of this child you're carrying.
Sandy: Okay, so chill out. Relax, you know. I've never been a surrogate before. It's... a little bit strange. Cut me some slack. Can you do that? It's for me.
Bill: I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness. I give you my commitment, my trust and the promise of a joyous life together. Katie, you know me. I've never broken a promise. (Sighs)
Katie: Well, what is it? This sounds serious.
Brooke: It is.
Ridge: Interrupting something? Hope not.
Katie: No. Brooke was just about to tell me something extremely important. But I think I know what it is. There's a certain man whom you think I should be concerned about, right?
Katie: Well, I think we've come to an understanding, haven't we, Ridge?
Ridge: I don't know, Katie. Have we?
Katie: I mean, let's be honest. I know you're never going to accept that Bill owns the company. Every morning, I'm sure you wake up with the same thought-- someday, somehow, you'll regain ownership and control of Forrester Creations. Am I on target?
Katie: But there's a problem. Your daughter, who's beautiful and talented, has flourished under this new regime. So you're kind of stuck between your artistic needs and your constant anger toward my husband. Ring a bell?
Ridge: Ding, ding.
Katie: Things are starting to turn around for us, Ridge. Your Glamour designs are going to be a smashing success. This company is starting to function the way it always should have. And regardless of how you feel about my husband, there is a sense of peace in the halls of Forrester these days. We are working together. We are being more productive. We respect each other, regardless of whether we see eye to eye. And I don't see that changing. Do you agree?
Ridge: We'll see, Katie.
Katie: I'm gonna take that as a yes. So this pressing matter-- have we covered it?
Brooke: Yes. Yes, I-I think we have.
Katie: Good. I'm gonna take these downstairs.
Nick: Maybe we could try to get to know each other a little better.
Sandy: Why? This is a business arrangement. You're--you're paying me, and I'm giving you a healthy child.
Nick: Well, I'd like to think of this as more than just a business arrangement. A pregnancy requires emotional support, and Bridget is here for you, and I want you to know that I'm here for you, too.
Sandy: Okay, fine. But don't just come barging into my house without calling me first.
Nick: Well, I didn't barge in. I knocked on the door like a gentleman.
Sandy: Can you see that you're upsetting me? Could you please just let this go?
Nick: But why? What have I done to make you so uncomfortable?
Sandy: I'm just a very private person, okay? And I need you to respect that.
Nick: Okay. Could I ask you one question?
Nick: Do you live here alone?
Sandy: Yes, I do.
Nick: Well, then why is all of your mail addressed to an Agnes Jones? I don't see one letter here to a Sandy Sommers.
Sandy: None of your damn business.
Nick: No, it is my business. You're having my child, and I'd like to know who I'm dealing with. So who are you really?
Brooke: Where's Katie? She still in a meeting?
Ridge: Yeah. Doing what Dad used to do.
Brooke: Are you upset with her?
Ridge: No. She's right. This whole thing could have gone south in so many ways, but it didn't, thanks to Steffy and the great work that she's been doing. And I appreciate Katie giving her this chance.
Brooke: I know how proud you are of your daughter.
Ridge: She's been given an opportunity here, Logan. That makes me very happy.
Brooke: (Chuckles) You two make a great team.
Ridge: Logan, we are gonna get this company back someday. I'm not gonna give up on that. But in the meantime, I'm glad that Steffy's happy and fulfilled in her work. And you know what else? I'm thankful there's finally some peace around here.
Bill: Hillary, cancel my afternoon meetings.
Sandy: How dare you come in here and interrogate me.
Nick: I'm not interrogating you. I just-- I'd just like to know who you are and who Agnes Jones is.
Sandy: What are you doing? What are you doing?!
Nick: Well, look at this. Cookies, chips, candy bars.
Sandy: So what? So what about it?
Nick: You're not exactly the health food nut you told my wife you were.
Sandy: I'm eating healthy now that I'm pregnant.
Nick: Well, you weren't pregnant when we met.
Sandy: Why are you doing this to me? Do you not want this baby now? Because it's a little late for that.
Nick: Yes, it is, isn't it? And yes, we want this child very badly. But you haven't been straight with us, Sandy, or whatever your name is. And I'd like to know why.
Ridge: Okay, I think it looks good in natural light. We're good to go. Tell the sewers.
Claire: Thanks, Ridge.
Ridge: Thank you, Claire. Hey, there's my little muse.
Steffy: Dad, that gown looked gorgeous.
Ridge: Thank you.
Steffy: I just wish things could be different.
Ridge: Yeah. You listen to me. They will be. We're gonna get our company back. I don't know exactly how we're gonna do that yet, but we will, okay? Until then, you just hang in there. You hang in there and do your best, okay?
Steffy: Okay. Dad, I'll do anything for you.
Katie: You will have to talk to Steffy about that. She is head of P.R. (Chuckles) Absolutely. Yeah. Whatever she says goes. Okay, great. Thank you, Daniel. Oh, this is a pleasant surprise, a visit from my husband. Mmm. More than pleasant. Stimulating.
Bill: Mm. Tell your secretary to hold your calls.
Katie: Oh. Should I lock the door, as well?
Bill: Not necessary.
Katie: Ohh. Business.
Katie: Hey, Shelly, can you hold my calls, please?
Brooke: What are you doing here?
Katie: Oh, he did?
Bill: Telling Katie what happened.
Katie: Uh, yeah. Oh, that's right.
Brooke: No. No, you can’t.
Bill: It was your idea.
Brooke: I changed my mind.
Bill: Well, you're wrong. She has to be told.
Katie: Great. All right. Thank you. Uh, Brooke, whatever you want, it's gonna have to wait. Bill needs to talk to me about something.
Brooke: Uhh, Katie, it can't wait. Ridge needs to see you.
Katie: Right now? I--
Brooke: Yeah, now. I-I don't know. It's some kind of problem. He--he needs to talk to you now.
Katie: Okay. I'll be right back.
Bill: Save your breath. I've made up my mind. I'm telling Katie what happened at the cabin.
Nick: What is it? Why the name change?
Sandy: It doesn't concern you.
Nick: Everything about you concerns me. You're carrying my child inside you.
Sandy: I want you to leave.
Nick: I'm not leaving until I get some answers. You're hiding something. What is it? What's true and not? Your profile-- what is it with the yoga and the healthy lifestyle? Is it true?
Sandy: I embellished a little.
Nick: But why?
Sandy: Because I want to be a surrogate. I wanna experience that. I-I want to know what that's like, me and--and-- with--with some great couple.
Nick: But don't you see how wrong that is? I feel as though I've been tricked here.
Sandy: You've haven't been tricked. I'm the right person. I will give you the baby that you want. I need this, Nick.
Nick: (Sighs) Come on. What's your story?
Sandy: I want to give birth. I wanna experience that. I want to know what it's like, but it's not gonna happen for me, not in a relationship, not with a man. I can't talk about it.
Nick: But you have to talk about it.
Sandy: (Sniffles) Please don't push me. Please.
Nick: You do see that we have a right to know.
Nick: It's all right. And now it's okay. You can trust me.
Sandy: Don't touch me. God. Please. Don't you dare touch me.
Nick: It's not me, is it? It's just men in general. What happened to you?
Ridge: Sweetheart, what did you mean, you'd do anything for me?
Steffy: Uh, I just-- I meant I want you to be happy, really happy. And I know you aren't having to report to Bill and Katie.
Katie: Hi. Uh, Brooke said you wanted to talk to me about something important?
Ridge: She did?
Katie: Yeah. Uh, is it about Steffy?
Ridge: Actually, maybe it is. I know Brooke’s been kind of concerned about you the last while, how hard you've been working and the pressure you've been under.
Steffy: Dad, you do not have to worry about me, okay?
Katie: Well, maybe Brooke is right. Your work has been stellar, but we don't want you pushing yourself too hard. We don't want you to burn out.
Brooke: (Sighs) Don't do this, Bill. Don't open it up to Katie.
Bill: I can't believe I'm hearing this from you.
Brooke: Everything you said in your office, you were absolutely right.
Bill: Really? Well, what changed your mind?
Brooke: Ridge, Katie and Steffy-- they're all working together.
Bill: That won't change.
Brooke: It will if you tell Katie what happened.
Bill: (Sighs) Look, I heard what you said about Katie, her honesty, my need to trust her, respect her. If she heard about this from someone else, Brooke, she would be devastated. I'm not gonna let that happen. She'll handle it. It won't have an impact on anything around here.
Brooke: I'm telling you, it will.
Bill: And I'm telling you it was a foolish kiss on Steffy’s part, and I have nothing to hide.
Brooke: You're not being realistic. This is all gonna blow up in your face. And if Ridge finds out...
Bill: If Ridge finds out, I'll handle it.
Brooke: This has been a very difficult situation for him. He's been very uncomfortable. And if he finds out that you were up at the cabin and something happened up there...
Bill: Nothing happened. Steffy got carried away. Now it's over and done with. And so is this conversation.
Brooke: Bill. Bill, don't do this, please. For the sake of our families and for the sake of this company, don't tell your wife. Once Katie finds out, she's gonna feel differently about Steffy. And then Ridge is gonna see that there's a different kind of attitude, and he'll know something's up. And it won't be good. Trust me. Don't tell Katie. If you do, you'll regret it. (Sighs)
Steffy: Everything okay?
Bill: More or less. I'm heading back to my office. Take care.
Steffy: Hey, Brooke. I got the numbers for the Hollywood campaign. We are rockin'. Brooke? You hear me? Hey, congratulations are in order for everyone, especially Katie.
Brooke: (Sighs) Don't even speak my sister's name. I know what you did. I know everything.
