Katie: You didn't run this by legal? Steffy, this is our first campaign since the merger. All eyes are on us. That wasn't very smart.
Steffy: No, I-I know. I messed up, okay? I made a mistake. Iíve--just been doing a lot of that lately.
Katie: It's okay. You'll know better next time.
Steffy: No, there won't be a next time. I swear on my life.
Katie: Are you okay?
Steffy: I just feel bad about everything.
Katie: Well, relax. It's all right. You've been on edge since you walked in here. Something on your mind?
Brooke: I wanna know everything that happened, Bill. I want to know how your necklace got stuck in the sofa at the Big Bear cabin. I want to know everything that happened between you and Steffy that night. Obviously, it wasn't just an inappropriate kiss or a conversation to clear the air. There is more going on here, and I want answers. And if you don't give them to me, I am going to talk to Steffy.
Bill: All right. I'll tell you.
Nick: Feels like it's taking a long time for a simple test.
Sandy: Sometimes in vitro takes a couple of tries, right?
Bridget: Mm-hmm. Doctor.
Dr. Caspary: It's confirmed. Sandy's pregnant with your child.
Bridget: (Gasps) Oh, God! (Laughs)
Bridget: (Laughs) (Sighs)
Steffy: Um, have you ever done the wrong thing even though you didn't mean to?
Rick: Oh, so sorry. Um, I don't mean to interrupt, but, Katie, this needs your signature at the bottom.
Katie: All right. Oh, that's such a nice photo of you and Bill.
Katie: Oh, thank you. Steffy gave that to us for our wedding.
Rick: How thoughtful.
Rick: That's Steffy for ya.
Katie: (Chuckles) Thank you.
Rick: Thanks, boss.
Katie: Um, this thing that you did-- does it have anything to do with Rick? I mean, are you having guy trouble?
Steffy: (Sighs) Look, just everyone thinks I'm a saint. And I'm really not.
Bill: Katie's the best thing that ever happened to me. I would never willingly hurt her.
Brooke: You lied to my face before. What else are you going to lie about?
Bill: Not about my feelings for Katie.
Brooke: You were with Steffy the night before your wedding.
Bill: It's not what you think.
Brooke: Katie was with Donna and me, and she was telling us how much she loves you and how excited she is to be marrying you and how much she trusted you. How could you do this, Bill? How could you betray my sister?
Katie: You shouldn't be so hard on yourself.
Steffy: It's just that everyone thinks I'm so perfect and I don't do anything wrong. But it's not true.
Katie: You know what? I should have seen this coming. I-I guess maybe I've just been in denial.
Katie: (Sighs) You're working so hard, and I'm pushing you, and I know that it must be tough. You--you're loyal to your father, but you want to impress Bill, which you have, by the way.
Steffy: I never want to let you down.
Katie: You wonít. But you can't work 24/7. You dating anyone?
Steffy: (Stammers) No. No.
Katie: Well, don't worry. You'll find someone when you least expect it. I mean, look at Bill and me. Trust me. You will find your Bill Spencer.
Bill: I haven't betrayed Katie, and I didn't lie to you.
Brooke: You lied about Big Bear. Something happened up there, more than you're admitting, and you just keep dancing around the truth.
Bill: The truth is nothing happened.
Bill: I went up there to clear the air. We had our talk. I was about to leave...
Steffy: Katie's such a lucky woman. Have a long and happy marriage, Bill.
Bill: I will. No more worries, all right?
Steffy: No, no. We're good. I'm good. I'll see you back at the office after your honeymoon.
Steffy: I can't wait for you to see the new Glamour photos.
Bill: I look forward to it.
Steffy: Actually, um, I think I-I have them in my phone. Here, you-- you gotta see these.
They're really, really cool. Come check 'em out.
Bill: Wow. These are really, really beautiful, Steffy.
Steffy: You really think so?
Bill: Yeah, I do. You should be very proud. You've outdone yourself.
Bill: Steffy. Steffy!
Steffy: I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Steffy: Bill, wait. I'm sorry.
Brooke: So that's how the necklace came off? You and Steffy were going over Glamour photos on the couch, and she couldn't resist you. It was all her initiative.
Brooke: Just one kiss. That's all that happened. And you really expect me to believe that?
Bill: I can't control what you believe or don't believe, Brooke. But it's the truth.
Katie: I just want you to know that if you ever have a problem, my door is open.
Steffy: Thank you. Thank you, really, but I don't think that's gonna change anything.
Katie: Might make you feel better if you talk about it. Try it.
Steffy: Okay. Um, I guess I just always thought everything was black and white, right and wrong, and I had no tolerance for anything in between. And I just think how judgmental I was and that I would never slip up.
Katie: Whatever is bothering you, you will work it out.
Steffy: How do you know that?
Katie: Because you're a good person. And whatever you've done, the people who love you will understand. Trust me. I speak from experience.
Bridget: I can't believe it. I can't believe we're pregnant.
Nick: We should do something, right? We should celebrate somehow.
Dr. Caspary: Good idea.
Dr. Caspary: But no champagne for you, Mama.
Dr. Caspary: I'll see you all in a week.
Nick: Thank you, Doc. Thank you so much.
Dr. Caspary: Congratulations.
Bridget: (Gasps) My goodness, we did it. And on the first try! Come here. Oh!
Sandy: Beginner's luck. (Chuckles)
Bridget: You are our little angel. You're our miracle.
Nick: Thank you, Sandy. Thank you so much.
Bridget: Oh, we finally have the little miracle we've been dreaming of
Nick: We are gonna hold that little Marone in our arms in nine months. (Chuckles)
Bridget: We're so blessed.
Bridget: Oh, I don't think I have ever, ever been this happy. (Laughs)
Nick: It's strange, but Sandy never really looks at me. You know, it's as though she wishes I weren't here. That's how I feel.
Bridget: I think Dads often feel kind of left out during pregnancy.
Nick: Well, you guys were hugging down here, and I went to hug her. I moved towards her, and she just stepped the other way. I--
Bridget: I know at you're saying. I hear you. But can we not put too much on that right now? Because we just got the most incredible news. Can we focus on that?
Nick: I will. But I do want to talk to her about this to see if there's a problem, because we're in this together, Bridget. And I want to make sure that she understands that, okay?
Steffy: Thank you for the talk, but I can handle my problems.
Katie: (Sighs) Listen, I know how you must feel about Bill.
Steffy: You do?
Katie: Of course. It's obvious. I mean, you're not alone. A lot of people don't like him. They think he's a ruthless businessman, but really, he wants his employees to be happy. He does. And he's taken an interest in you. I know that must be a lot of pressure.
Rick: I'm so sorry. I'm--am I interrupting anything?
Steffy: No, no. We're done.
Rick: Uh, Katie, it must nice being the C.E.O. Somebody left these for you. They're primo Laker tickets, courtside seats.
Katie: Nice. Take them. Have a good time. You deserve it. See you later.
Steffy: Here. Bring a date.
Rick: I have no one to take.
Rick: What I mean is, ever since you and I broke up, I' been kind of living my life like a monk. (Chuckles) I mean, I work all day, and I volunteer in my spare time, and I sleep alone at night, and I've had plenty of time to reflect on how poorly I treated you and how badly our relationship ended, and...
Steffy: I don't-- I don't know why you keep beatin' yourself up. My dad has completely calmed down about you.
Rick: (Sighs) Thank God. So there is such thing as redemption.
Steffy: Is there?
Rick: All right, you know what? I'm just gonna say it. Cards on the table. Steffy, I miss you. And I'm tired of living my life like a monk. Would you make my day and go to the game with me?
Brooke: If it was all so innocent, why didn't you tell Katie?
Bill: Well, how about because next time I saw her, she was walking down the aisle? Probably not the best time. Then we were on our honeymoon. Again, not a great opportunity.
Brooke: So your hands are clean.
Bill: (Sighs) I was totally surprised when she kissed me again. I'm sure she didn't mean for it to happen.
Brooke: Yes, but it happened twice. And she didn't mean for it to happen the first time. So what are you saying? That she succumbs to your overwhelming charm, not once but twice?
Bill: I'm married now. Steffy respects that. It won't be a problem.
Brooke: Oh, I think there is a big problem here, because Katieís the trusted head of P.R. and she as the hots for her new husband.
Bill: She'll respect my marriage.
Brooke: Just like she respected your engagement. If I go to Steffy, she'll have the same story?
Bill: She will, but I'd rather you didnít.
Bill: Because I don't want it to change anything, Brooke. Look at all we've accomplished at Forrester Creations. Even Ridge is more or less on board. Now Steffy behaved inappropriately. She knows that. I'm sure it won't happen again. Just leave it alone.
Brooke: I don't like to keep secrets.
Bill: Well, maybe you donít. But I suspect you have kept one or two in your life. So you go to Steffy, and you tell her you know. She goes to Katie. Eventually Ridge finds out. And everything that we have worked so hard to create blows up. Steffy made a mistake. I'm sure she learned from it now and nothing of any significance happened, Brooke. We're talking about Ridge's daughter. I am telling you to let it go.
(Knock on door)
Nick: Hey. These are from me and Bridget.
Nick: Can I come in?
Sandy: Is everything okay?
Nick: Well, I was hoping maybe you could tell me.
Sandy: What does that mean?
Nick: I like to think of myself as a likeable guy, you know, pretty friendly and easy to talk to. But I get this sort of a strange vibe from you that you would like to have me out of the way somehow.
Sandy: I barely know you.
Nick: Well, in the upcoming months, we're gonna face something that's very intense and intimate. You're carrying our child, which means youíre very important to me, and I have to know if we can get along.
Sandy: We're cool. (Chuckles)
Nick: When we were at the doctor's, I reached for your hand, and you pulled away.
Sandy: I just--you-- y-you surprised me.
Nick: I see. Look, I'm not trying to pressure you. I just want to make this better for all of us. So if there's anything bothering you, whatever it is, now's the time to get it out.
Steffy: I can't go to the game with you.
Rick: Even as old friends
Steffy: No, it's not because of our past. It's--I don't think I should be enjoying myself right now.
Rick: Why not?
Steffy: (Sighs) What if I told you I did something worse than you ever did?
Rick: Did you park in somebody else's space? Wait. Wait. No, no, no. Did you step on a crack? Did you litter? (Chuckles)
Steffy: How could you stand me?
Rick: Gee, I have no idea. I mean, how can I stand you when you have the most beautiful body and face that I've ever seen in my entire life?
Steffy: I'm serious. I was always going so moral on you, always judging you and getting offended if you made a mistake. I was just--I was so naive. But this time, I-I royally screwed up. And I just don't know how to fix it.
Katie: Oh, Hillary, hi. Uh, is my husband available? He's still with Brooke? That's a long meeting. Okay, uh, just tell him I called. Thanks. Hmm.
Brooke: My sister should be told.
Bill: In a black and white world, I would agree. But there is a lot of gray area in life, Brooke. And this would cause more harm than good. Believe me. I have thought about this over and over. If Katie was told, she would obviously be very upset with Steffy.
Brooke: She has every right to know.
Bill: Okay. So you tell Katie, and she goes after Steffy. Ridge finds out. He goes after me. And the harmony that we have created at Forrester Creations, this delicate balance we have worked so hard for, is lost. For what? An impulsive young girl who made a mistake.
Brooke: Two mistakes. And what's going to happen next, Bill?
Brooke: The two of you are gonna be working so closely. She's the head of P.R. And I'm sure there's many opportunities in the work place. She's gonna do her best to flirt with you and to flaunt, and she's a-a pretty young lady.
Bill: I'm not interested in Steffy. I'm committed to your sister. Look, Katie would be very hurt if she found out what Steffy did, and she has taken an interest in the girl. I'm not worried about my relationship with Katie. She trusts me, and she should. But we're talking about Ridge's daughter. Now you can open this whole thing up, blow it out of proportion, and it will be the Forresters versus the Logans all over again. Katie is happy. We are all getting along very well. Everything is working out for us. Do you want to destroy that, Brooke? It's up to you. It's all in your hands. What are you going to do?
