Thorne: (Sighs) Sorry I'm late. I got held up in shipping.

Donna: (Clears throat)

Brooke: (Sighs)

Katie: Thank you all for coming. My first order of business as C.E.O. is to assemble the strongest team possible. This team will help lead Forrester Creations into the future and help to rebuild the company. And I really want to retain all of the experience in this room. So that being said, Thorne, I would like you to resume your position as vice president.

Thorne: I'm not interested.

Katie: We could really use you.

Thorne: I'm fine where I am now. I'm working closely with the employees who are all upset with the, uh, changes going on.

Katie: Okay. Well, I'm disappointed, but, um, I understand. Donna, you know the company inside and out. You would be my second choice.

Donna: Oh, gosh. Uh, I'm honored, Katie, but, um, I'm kind of stuck in the middle. My--my husband was forced out.

Katie: I understand that, but you would be the perfect V.P.

Donna: Okay. All right. Somehow I'll finesse it with Eric. I'll--I'll do it to support you and the company.

Katie: Thank you. As some of you know, I have asked Rick to take over International. He's going to be doing that from his home base here in Los Angeles. And the next order of business would be to name a president. And really, there's only one person in this room who could fill that position, and that's you, Ridge.

Ridge: Well... (Sighs) I can't do it. I'll fulfill my commitment as lead designer, but I can't be an executive for you, Katie. I'm having a hard enough time accepting that Forrester’s a subsidiary of Spencer Publications. I'm sorry. I can't be any more honest than that.

Katie: I really wish you would reconsider. We need someone to reassure our clientele that they should expect the same level of quality that they always have.

Ridge: My designs will provide that.

Katie: All right, well, thank you for heading up our design team. Uh, my second choice would be Eric, but I don't think that's gonna happen, is it?

Donna: Oh, Katie, he would never accept that. Not under the circumstances.

Katie: I really want someone with a proven track record, so, Brooke, would you like to be president?

Brooke: Uh, honey, I don't want to upset you.

Ridge: Look, I-I want this company to stay afloat. I certainly can't do this, so you may as well.

Brooke: Okay. I'll do it.

Katie: Thank you. That's all I can ask. All right then. We have our executive team. Ridge, Thorne, you will report to Donna, Brooke and me. We will all report to Bill. I'm very excited about our future. I wish you could share my enthusiasm.

Justin: You can't just quit, Emerson. "The Catwalk" is important to Spencer Publications. We've got a live audience waiting outside--

Emerson: Look, Spencer Publications now owns L.A.'s premier fashion house. This show is gonna become an infomercial for Forrester. I will not compromise my journalistic integrity.

Justin: Yeah, well, you better reconsider, Emerson.

Emerson: I have. I'm done. (Chuckles) And if you think Donatella or Giordana are gonna set foot on the stage today without me...

Justin: (Sighs)

Emerson: Well, you better think again. You have nothing and no one to air. Good luck, mate.

Justin: Come on, Emerson. I'm live in three hours. Jeez. Oh, man. (Sighs) Who am I gonna get? Uh... of course.

Katie: Thank you so much for supporting me.

Donna: Yeah.

Katie: I just wish that Thorne and Ridge had accepted an executive position.

Donna: Well, they're having a hard time accepting all the changes, Katie.

Bill: You handled the situation extremely well.

(Cell phone rings)

Bill: What is it?

Justin: Bill, we've got a problem, but I think I have a solution.

Bill: All right. I like it. Donna.

Donna: Yeah?

Bill: Go over to Spencer right now. Someone will meet you at the main entrance.

Donna: Oh. Why? What's going on?

Bill: Just head over there and, uh, grab yourself a beautiful Forrester dress and go.

Donna: O-okay.

Bill: Now.

Donna: Okay.

Katie: What was that all about?

Bill: Let's just say it's a good thing you can count on your sisters.

Katie: Huh.

Ridge: I couldn't do it, Logan. I can't be president of Forrester Creations, not with things like this.

Brooke: So you really don't mind me accepting that position?

Ridge: Under the circumstances, you're the best person for the job. I certainly couldn't do it.

Brooke: No, it's too much for you right now. I can see the toll it's taking on you.

Ridge: (Sighs)

Katie: You have something up your sleeve.

Bill: Me?

Katie: Yes, you. Why did you send Donna to Spencer? And as your C.E.O., I demand you tell me.

Bill: Well, my demanding C.E.O., it is a surprise.

Katie: Oh.

Bill: And I don't want to spoil it.

Katie: We Logan girls love surprises.

Bill: Well, you're gonna love this one and so is Donna. Trust me. It's going to help her embrace Spencer Publications.

Katie: Hmm.

(Indistinct conversations)

Donna: Oh, this-- this is the set of "The Catwalk." Oh, my--it-it looks so different from here. (Laughs)

Justin: That it is. Now that I'm gonna be in L.A. permanently, Bill asked me to be the producer.

Donna: You? Oh, my God. That--I mean, "The Catwalk" is, like, the best talk show in fashion and-- wow. (Chuckles) I just love the television business.

Justin: Well, the camera loves you right back. You know, I remember seeing you a while ago on that episode of "The Rich Ginger" show. Oh, you were beautiful.

Donna: You--you saw that?

Justin: Yeah.

Donna: (Laughs)

Justin: (Chuckles) Yeah, I did. You had them eating out of the palm of your hand.

Donna: Oh, yeah, thanks. That's really sweet, but what-- why are we here exactly?

Justin: We had our host walk out on us today, and we have a live show this afternoon.

Donna: Oh, my God. Are--are you have to cancel your show or--

Justin: No.

Donna: Oh, so you're-- you're gonna get a new host.

Justin: You bet. You. (Chuckles) Yeah.

Katie: (Sighs) Thank you so much, Brooke. I know this can't be easy for you.

Brooke: No, it's not. But I support Ridge just like he supports me.

Katie: Well, I really wish he would come around. It would make working together around here a whole lot easier.

Brooke: Don't hold your breath, Katie. That day may never come, no matter what Bill wants.

Bill: You're acting like a child.

Ridge: No, I'm being true to myself.

Bill: Oh, come on. First, you skip media day, sit in your office and pout. And then you reject Katie’s offer of the presidency.

Ridge: I couldn't accept it, Bill, not in good conscience.

Bill: You threw it back in her face, Ridge. Listen, I thought it was a bad idea to begin with, but Katie wanted to do something to get you involved.

Ridge: I'm here, aren't I?

Bill: Because you're obligated to be here. I understand the loyalty issue, but we made a deal.

Ridge: Bill, I will honor the contract by making the best line possible. Beyond that, I owe you nothing.

Bill: You're a designer, Ridge, and a good one. So I am going to give you your first assignment under the new regime.

Ridge: I'm listening.

Bill: My fiancée’s wedding gown. I want you to design it.

Donna: I-I don't know the first thing about being a talk show host.

Justin: When Emerson walked out, you were my first choice. Bill agrees. You'll be perfect, Donna.

Donna: Oh. Oh, come on. I-I cannot believe that. (Sighs) What? I mean, it-it's something I've always wanted to do. I-- I mean, I love the stage. I-I did plays in high school.

Justin: I remember. And a few months ago, you were on "The Price is Right," and everyone said you were a natural, so...

Donna: (Sighs)

Justin: What do you think? Will you do it?

Justin: Come on.

Donna: Yeah. Yeah, I would love to.

Justin: Great. Great. You are really helping us out, Donna. Thank you.

Donna: Oh, God. I'm really nervous. I-I-I mean--

Justin: Um--

Donna: You're crushing my dress. I have my dress, but, uh, what about my hair and makeup?

Justin: No, no, no, no. Donna. Donna, don't-- don't worry about it. Donna, don't worry about it. Ryan, could you take Donna to her dressing room, please? Thank you.

Donna: Oh, dressing room? (Chuckles) Okay.

Justin: And I'll be there in a minute. I have to make a call first.

Donna: All right. Okay, let's go.

Justin: Yes. (Sighs)

Pam: Serge, you are such a hoot.

Serge: (Chuckles) Oh. Oh, thanks for lunch, Pammy.

Pam: (Chuckles)

Serge: Nothing like a little raw fish to head right to the snapper. (Laughs)

Pam: (Laughs)

(Telephone rings)

Pam: It's a beautiful day at Jackie M. This is Pam. How may I help you?

Justin: Pam, this is Justin Barber from "The Catwalk."

Pam: (Gasps) That's my second favorite show.

Justin: Good. Good. We'd like Stephanie to be a guest. We'd like to interview her about Jackie M.

Pam: (Squeals) I think that sounds wonderful.

Justin: I know this is last-minute, but do you think she could come down now? We're shooting live this afternoon.

Pam: Um, I don't foresee that being a problem at all, Mr. Barber. Um, we'll be over in a jiff. (Gasps)

Serge: What?

Pam: That was "The Catwalk."

Serge: (Gasps)

Pam: They want Stephanie to be a guest on the show today!

Serge: That show with the delicious host Emerson?

Pam: Yes.

Serge: (Gasps) Oh, my goodness. I've had a crush on him since '98.

Pam: (Chuckles)

Serge: Oh. Oh, Stephanie will be inches away from him. Oh, the injustice of it all.

Pam: Can you believe this? She's gonna be so fabulous. I can't wait to tell her.

Serge: Oh, my God!

Jackie: Well, with Spencer Publications behind them, Forrester is going to be a force to be reckoned with.

Stephanie: I know. They're gonna have unlimited financial resources, and Bill will put all that media support behind--

Pam: Steph! Steph! I have great news.

Stephanie: What?

Pam: "The Catwalk" wants you to be a guest. You're gonna be on TV.

Stephanie: Oh.

Ridge: You want me to design Katie’s wedding gown?

Bill: I want something beautiful, classic, sexy-- something you do so well, and the reason I paid all that money to keep you around here. Design the perfect wedding gown for Katie, Ridge.

Ridge: I'm hoping it'll never come to that, Bill, that eventually Katie will see you for you really are and call it off, because marrying you would be the biggest mistake of her life.

Katie: Hey. What's going on?

Ridge: Bill wants me to design your wedding gown. Evidently, it's an order.

Brooke: What? That's ridiculous. Stop taunting him, Bill. I'm sure you have better things to do than come in here and throw your power in Ridge's face.

Bill: I thought he would be flattered. I just asked the man to design his sister-in-law's wedding gown. If I knew it would be such an issue, I wouldn't have asked.

Ridge: Oh, come on, Bill. You saw this as a chance to stick it to me again.

Katie: Okay, um, why don't we let Brooke and Ridge have a little time alone, all right?

Ridge: Can you believe the nerve of that guy?

Brooke: No. I can't believe he did that. He had no right.

Ridge: No. Evidently he has every right. He owns me, Logan. He owns all of us. Everything we've worked so hard for-- it's his now.

Brooke: No, Ridge. This is still our company.

Ridge: No, it's not. No, it's not. We've lost everything, and how am I supposed to deal with that, huh?

Brooke: (Sighs)

Stephanie: Mm-hmm.

Pam: "The Catwalk" wants you.

Stephanie: Me? Oh, well, I think it would be more appropriate if Jackie went and did an interview like that.

Jackie: Oh, don't be ridiculous. You garnered a huge success for Spencer with "The Logan Chronicles." Of course they're gonna want you on the show.

Stephanie: Well, I'm not about to do anything that would benefit Spencer, believe me.

Pam: Oh, no, but Steph, you gotta.

Stephanie: Huh?

Pam: You gotta. This is once in a lifetime.

Stephanie: Sweetheart, listen, he's just taken over Forrester Creations, and he wants to interview me? Don't you think that sounds like a setup?

Jackie: Well, if it is, you'll beat them at their own game. If anyone can take a situation and turn it around to our advantage, it's you.

Pam: And you'll be on TV! Don't you want to hear him say, (Foreign accent) "Stephanie Forrester, come on down the catwalk!" (Laughs) (Normal voice) Come on, Steph, we gotta get over there right away.

Stephanie: We? Qu'est-ce que c'est "we"?

Pam: Well, I'm gonna go with you, you know, for moral support.

Stephanie: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.

Jackie: Get on down.

Stephanie: Ri-- (Laughs) Okay. I'll do it.

Pam: (Chuckles)

Stephanie: Go on. Go, go, go.

Pam: (Squeals) Come on. We've gotta go. Come on.

Jackie: Bye.

Justin: Don't be nervous. Be excited. You're the host. Donna, you're gonna be fabulous. You have a whole slew of people at your disposal. Your own wardrobe, hair and makeup--anything you need, just say the word.

Donna: Okay.

Justin: I'll make sure you have it.

Donna: Okay. (Laughs)

Justin: Yeah.

Donna: I can't-- I can't believe this. I mean, I-I'm-- I'm a talk show host. Me, Donna Logan, the--the host of the hottest talk show in fashion. (Giggles) Oh, my God, thank you.

Justin: You're welcome.

Donna: Thank you so much. (Sighs)

Ridge: I'm surrounded by all things Spencer now-- Spencer stationary, pencils I design with-- Spencer.

Ridge: It's like everything in this place reminds me this company is no longer ours. I feel trapped here, Logan. I can't quit. Bill made it very clear he'll get an injunction to keep me working here for years. (Sighs) I just don't know if I can keep going. I should have fought Spencer with my last breath, my last dollar.

Brooke: (Sighs) And we still almost certainly would have lost the company.

Ridge: Maybe I should have-- should have fought harder. I shouldn't have given in so easily.

Brooke: Ridge, we did fight. We fought for months on our own to try to make it work, but we couldn’t.

Ridge: I'm telling you, Logan, something has got to give, because I can't work this way. I can't design this way. I don't care about the money, the stock options, none of it. I can't bear to walk by Dad's office and see your sister sitting in there. How am I supposed to do this, huh? I can’t. This was supposed to be our time to run Forrester together. All of our plans and hopes for the future--

Brooke: We have to keep going, Ridge.

Ridge: Well, I'm not giving up. Somehow, some way, I'm getting this company back. I don't care what I have to do, but I'm gonna get Forrester Creations back, Logan. We have to. (Groans) I need to get out of here.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Brooke: Hi. Yes, this is Brooke Logan. Uh, yeah, I-I just need to speak to him right away. That's fine. I'll hold. (Sighs) I'm only doing this for you, Ridge. Nobody else but you.

Brooke: Hi. (Sighs) Yes, it's me. We--please, don't ask any questions. I just need you to do exactly as I say.
