Justin: It's true, isn't it, Donna? Marcus -- he's my son. Please, you have to tell me.

Bridget: Yes, just a few, like, one or two elegant platters. Yes, champagne for sure. Um, no, I want French. I want the real deal. Yeah, it's kind of a little special celebration. Um, one or two bottles will--will be fine. Okay. Oh, wow. That feels fabulous. No, I mean-- I-I--no, I said it sounds fabulous. Okay, well, the main thing I'm concerned about is just getting it here on time.

Nick: (Whispers) Hang up the phone.

Bridget: Okay.

Nick: Hang up the phone.

Bridget: Um, great. Okay, I--thanks, Stella. I gotta go.

Nick: Bye, Stella.

Bridget: Honey.

Nick: (Normal voice) Hi, Stella.

Bridget: (Laughs) Mm. Mm.

Brooke: Uh, hello. (Giggles)

Bridget: (Laughs) Mom.

Nick: Hi.

Brooke: So this is how you inspire my daughter's creative juices, huh?

Bridget: Hi.

Brooke: Hi, honey. Hi, Nick.

Nick: Hello.

Brooke: (Sighs) Wow, this is Stephanie’s office. It's--it's quite impressive.

Nick: Mm.

Bridget: Yeah. Yeah, we like it. Uh, so what are you doing here?

Nick: Yeah, what are you doing here?

Brooke: Oh, I was in the area. I just thought I'd stop by.

Nick: Oh.

Brooke: What's goin' on over here in these parts?

Nick: We're actually putting a little celebration party together for Stephanie.

Brooke: Uh-oh, did I miss her birthday or something?

Nick: Birthday? When is her birthday? I don't think so.

Bridget: No, no, no, no, no. We, um, it's just for celebrating some of her...accomplishments.

Nick: Right.

Brooke: Really?

Nick: Yeah, she has gotten us into five new chains in the last two weeks. Wasn't that the number?

Bridget: Well, not to brag, but--

Nick: We don't brag.

Brooke: What? Wow.

Bridget: I know. I don't know--really know exactly what the motivation's been, but she has definitely delivered.

Brooke: Oh, I can't believe that. It's great. I mean, I guess Jackie’s really happy, right? Owen, too.

Nick: Mm-hmm. Uh, actually we all are.

Brooke: Oh, of course.

(Knock on door)

Jackie: Um... (Clears throat) come in.

Whip: Okay, it's all set.

Owen: What is?

Pam: The whole soiree we're throwing together for Steph.

Jackie: Oh, well, it's not exactly a soiree. I-it's a little party to celebrate her successes.

Whip: Yes, and there have been a lot of them lately.

Pam: So we're all gonna gather in Stephanie’s office.

Stephanie: What for?

Whip: Um, a staff meeting.

Stephanie: Whose idea was that?

Jackie: Mine.

Stephanie: Oh. Oh.

Jackie: (Chuckles) Um, do you need something?

Stephanie: Uh, yes, actually, I do. Uh, I-I do you have any aspirin?

Jackie: Uh, yeah, darling, would you mind? Top drawer.

Owen: Yeah.

Jackie: Are you feeling under the weather?

Stephanie: I just have a headache.

Owen: Oh.

Stephanie: I think-- I guess it's from working late.

Jackie: Uh, maybe you should get some rest.

Stephanie: No. What? No, don't be silly. Listen, I've got a meeting later that I think I'm going to sew up about another thousand units for the month.

Jackie: Stephanie, it is so late.

Pam: We could postpone those meetings till tomorrow, Steph.

Stephanie: Honey, never put off-- oh, thank you so much.

Owen: You're welcome.

Stephanie: Tomorrow morning what you can do by midnight tonight.

Owen: Wait a minute. Haven't you ever heard of sleep?

Stephanie: Oh, it's vastly overrated in life. Don't you know that?

Whip: True.

Stephanie: I believe we just keep moving forward constantly.

Jackie: You know, there's moving forward, and there's running on empty, and you have been going full tilt for a week and a half.

Stephanie: I'm fine. Thank you very much for your concern. I'm going down to shipping because they're behind on the orders. I'll see you later.

Pam: Hmm.

Justin: Say it. Say it, Donna. Marcus--he is my son. We were lovers in high school. Now I learn you have a son, a boy whose age, it puts him in the same time frame when we were together. Look at me. Look at him. He's mine, isn't he, Donna?

Marcus: Mom, no. Look, I don't need you to tell me about my biological father. I don't need to go trying to find him. Hey, Mom, look at me. I've never been happier. I have everything I need, everything I want right here with you and Eric, my father-to-be.

Justin: Why won't you answer me? It's because I'm right, isn't it? Marcus is my flesh and blood, my son.

Donna: No. Marcus is not your son.

Ridge: (Sighs)

Brooke: (Sighs) On the phone you said there's something you wanted to tell me.

Ridge: Oh, right, right, right.

Brooke: Mm-hmm.

Ridge: It's Dad. He is adopting Marcus.

Brooke: Really?

Ridge: Yeah, he's already had the paperwork drawn up.

Brooke: How do you feel about that?

Ridge: Uh, well, I think Marcus is a good guy. I think he's earned his place at Forrester, and in my opinion, he's earned his place in this family.

Donna: I'm sorry.

Justin: I don't believe it.

Marcus: Oh, sorry about that. I thought you guys were done.

Donna: Oh, um, well, Justin was just leaving.

Marcus: Oh, well, these just came in for Eric. He was looking for these, so...

Donna: Okay. Um, I'll make sure he gets 'em.

Marcus: Everything okay?

Donna: Yeah. Yeah, every-- everything is just fine, sweetie.

Marcus: Oh. Okay. Hey, will I get the chance to see you before you head back to New York?

Donna: Oh, you know, I don't think so, 'cause, um--

Marcus: Wait, wait, wait. You owe me that game now.

Justin: Right, one-on-one. Yeah, we'll get it in.

Marcus: Cool. Oh, that's what's up.

Justin: All right.

Marcus: All right, man, well, I'll catch you later.

Justin: All right, cool.

Marcus: Bye, Mom.

Donna: Bye.

Justin: It's the one thing I've wanted for so many years-- a child of my own. It's the only thing that's missing in my life.

Donna: Justin, you'll have that. I mean, look at you. You're young. You're available, and some very lucky woman is gonna make you her husband and--and give you children.

Justin: That woman could have been you.

Donna: It isn’t.

Justin: Is that why you won't tell me about Marcus? Because you're afraid it will complicate your marriage?

Donna: No, my-- my marriage to Eric is completely solid.

Justin: It seems so. Then why, Donna? Why won't you admit it?

Donna: Look, don't you think I know who the father of my son is? It's not you, Justin, and you're just gonna have to accept that.

Bridget: Got it?

Nick: Yep. (Cork pops)

Brooke: Yay! Whoo!

Nick: How about that?

Bridget: Nice.

Nick: I didn't break anything.

Jackie: Okay, are we ready for the meeting?

Nick: Yes, we're ready for the meeting. (Glasses clink)

Jackie: Come on in.

Stephanie: Wait a minute. We're having a staff meeting with champagne?

Bridget: Yes.

Jackie: (Laughs) Well, actually, that was a little white lie. We are here to celebrate.

Stephanie: What?

Nick: We're gonna celebrate you.

Stephanie: Oh, well, that isn't necessary. (Chuckles) Thank you, but it's not necessary.

Owen: Oh, come on. We wouldn't be where we are if it wasn't for you, Stephanie.

Stephanie: Uh, no, if you-- no, what we should be celebrating are Bridget’s designs.

Nick: Yes.

Stephanie: They are fabulous, and Whip's P.R. has been just glorious.

Whip: Well, that is true, but, you know, we-- we wouldn't be going forward if it weren't for you.

Stephanie: Well, I'm just, you know, working my connections.

Jackie: (Chuckles) Really, very successfully. I mean, we've already topped our sales again, and it's because of your efforts.

Owen: Mm-hmm.

Nick: So we raise our glasses to Stephanie...

Whip: Hear, hear.

Pam: Hear, hear.

Nick: Our woman of the year. (Glasses clink)

Stephanie: Well. Golly--golly gee whiz.

Nick: (Chuckles)

Stephanie: Thank you. Um, but you know, anything that I've-- well, anything that I've been able to accomplish is only because of you all. Well, that's true, and as long as I'm gonna say "golly gee whiz thank you"...

Jackie: (Laughs)

Stephanie: Then I should tell you a little bit of truth. You've made me happier than I've ever been in my life. Each one of you, I-- a special thank-you. (Glasses clink) (Glasses clink) Thank you. (Glasses clink)

Stephanie: Drink, drink.

Ridge: So, Mrs. Forrester, tell me about your day.

Brooke: (Clears throat) I saw Bridget over at Jackie M.

Ridge: Mm-hmm.

Brooke: She and Nick are getting ready to throw Stephanie a party.

Ridge: For what?

Brooke: Apparently, she's made quite a mark over there.

Ridge: Well, it doesn't surprise me. I kind of wish we had her back at Forrester.

Brooke: Yeah, but she's made a life for herself now, and that would have been close to impossible to do at Forrester.

Ridge: Yeah, I guess so.

Brooke: Now where were we before we started talking about all of this? I was describing those luscious lips of yours.

Ridge: And I was telling you that I needed more.

Brooke: Mm.

Brooke: (Sighs) You want me to give you one of those special massages?

Ridge: How about if I give you one this time?

Brooke: Twist my arm.

Stephanie: What about those, uh, back orders?

Owen: Well, we've doubled the dayshift, and we're gonna be about ahead of the game in, say, a week or so.

Stephanie: Oh.

Nick: Not if she has anything to say about it.

Stephanie: (Chuckles) Owen, I think you should double the nightshift, too.

Owen: Serious?

Whip: Uh...

Stephanie: Honestly, we're gonna push product like you can't imagine.

Whip: Excuse me. Where do you get your energy?

Stephanie: Wha--

Bridget: Seriously. We can barely keep up with you.

Stephanie: What are you talking about, Miss number one designer, wife, mother?

Whip: Yeah.

Stephanie: You've got more energy than anybody.

Bridget: Are you kidding me? At the end of the day, you should see me. I'm completely exhausted and worn out, while you, my dear, are still here at the office working.

Jackie: Stephanie, is that headache still bothering you?

Stephanie: No, no.

Pam: Maybe you should have a little more champagne, Steph.

Stephanie: No, thank you. I have--still have some work to do.

Jackie: I really think that you should call it a day and get some rest.

Whip: Yeah.

Stephanie: Would you stop henpecking me?

Owen: Oh, come on. We're just concerned. We want to make sure that our number one asset is in good working order.

Stephanie: There is nothing wrong with me. I'm fine, thank you.

Jackie: Nobody said there was anything wrong with you--

Stephanie: Okay, okay. I--look, I appreciate your concern. Honestly, I do. It's--it's, uh... (Chuckles) it's very sweet. You want to know where I get my energy? I get it from you, you, you, you, you. You've all become my family, and you know how important family is to me. (Sighs) Honestly, together, I think we can take on the world.

Pam: You go, girl.

Stephanie: Well, look, we're the number one fashion house in L.A., aren't we? Isn't that incredible?

Bridget: Uh-huh.

Whip: True.

Stephanie: Jackie, Bridget, we're going to Milan. We're going to Paris. We're going to New York.

Owen: Whoo! Yeah.

Stephanie: We are going to be number in the city.

Whip: Yeah!

Stephanie: When I want something, I get it, and I am determined at this point in my life. I'm telling you, Stephanie Forrester says we are going to be the number one fashion house in the world.

Whip: All right.

Jackie: I like it.

Stephanie: We're going to do it.

Stephanie: (Clears throat)

Justin: If I didn't father Marcus, who did? Tell me, Donna. You can't, because there is no other explanation.

Donna: Yes, there is. Look, the reason I broke up with you so abruptly when you went to college, Justin, was because there was someone else.

Justin: Another guy?

Donna: Yes. Look, I did-- I didn't want to have to tell you this, Justin. I'm sorry. I didn't want to have to hurt your feelings. God, can--can you see how--how this hurts? Can we just-- just drop this? Drop this!

Justin: Who was it? I want a name, Donna. If Marcus isn't mine, I want to know who his father is.

Justin: So who is Marcus' biological father? Look, I want to believe you wouldn't lie to me about this--

Donna: Would you just stop pressing me on this, okay? It's a--it's a time in my life that I want to forget. I have to forget. (Sighs)

Justin: All right. I'll let it be. (Sighs) It's just that there's something so special about that boy. (Sighs) Probably because he has you as a mother. I wish he had me as a father. I really wish he were mine.

Justin: (Sighs) Take care, Donna. I'm sorry if I caused you any pain.

Bridget: Whew.

Nick: Some party, huh?

Bridget: Yeah. Stephanie--my goodness, I have never seen her like that before.

Nick: Mm, she was pretty charged up, wasn't she?

Bridget: Yeah. Just some of the stuff she said.

Nick: Like what?

Bridget: Like she's never been happier. Honestly, how could she say that? Nothing in her life is going the way that she wants it to go. Mom is with Ridge. Donna's with Dad. She's basically lost a son and her husband. Do you think she's just forgotten all of those things?

Nick: Well, maybe she's overcompensating a little bit.

Bridget: Yeah, I don't know. She called us her family, honey. What about Ridge and Thorne and Felicia? I mean, that's her family, right?

Nick: Well, first of all, she has a vision for this company, and she's enthusiastic.

Bridget: Well, yeah, that-- that she definitely is. I don't know. Maybe you're right. It just all seemed a little strange to me. That's all.

Pam: That was quite a speech you gave, Steph. I couldn't hardly believe it was coming out of your mouth. Did you mean all that? (Chuckles) Steph?

Stephanie: Hmm?

Pam: Hey!

Stephanie: What? What?

Pam: Are you okay?

Stephanie: I'm fine. I wish everyone would just stop asking me that.

Pam: Well, you had that headache you said, so--

Stephanie: Well, people get headaches all the time, don't they?

Pam: Well, yeah, but you okay? You--you've been through a lot recently, Steph-- Ridge going back to Brooke and Eric still with that trophy wife of his in your home, running your company.

Stephanie: (Sighs)

Pam: It's a lot.

Stephanie: It--it's history, Pam. I have a whole new life here. (Slurring) And nothing's gonna slop me. Believe me.

Pam: What? What'd you just say?

Stephanie: (Normal voice) Uh, I thought I asked you to go home, didn't I? I said, uh, I've got a lot of work to do.

Pam: Are you--you sure that you're okay, Steph?

Stephanie: I am fine. Go. Please. They'll clean everything up in the morning, okay?

Pam: Okay.

Stephanie: Don't-- don't worry. Don't worry. Go.

Pam: Don't work too hard. I'll see you, uh, mañana.

Stephanie: Mm-hmm.

Stephanie: (Sighs) (Whispers) I'm fine. I'm fine. I know that. I'm fine. (Sighs) I'm fine.
