Owen: So you took money from men for--
Jackie: Well, they were men that I knew. They understood how desperate I was. I mean, I was alone-- no job, no money, trying to raise my child. They were kind to me. It was later that the story got twisted and-- and words were used calling me names that... I never believed that I was. Nevertheless, it was a terrible mistake, one that I have paid for, Owen, and one that I will regret forever, but please, please, darling, can you understand? Can you tell me that you forgive me? Please?
Bill: Thank you.
Bill: (Chuckles) There he is. Justin Barber, how you doin', man?
Justin: Good to see you, man. Good to see you.
Bill: Yeah, you, too. You've been doing a good job holding down the fort for me in New York.
Justin: Office has been a little crazy since you moved out here, but I'm getting -- keeping it covered.
Bill: (Chuckles) Have a seat.
Justin: Thank you. (Sighs)
Bill: Listen, you might be an old friend, but I wouldn't have made you executive vice president of my company if I wasn't confident you could handle it.
Justin: So tell me, are the rumors true? New York is buzzing about Bill Spencer finding himself a very hot lady. So who is she? And does she know what she's getting herself into?
Bill: Her name is Katie. And, yeah, she knows all about me, and so far, she likes me anyway.
Donna: So my little sister's falling in love.
Katie: Maybe just a little bit.
Donna: Well, I was concerned that you were getting hooked on Bill Spencer, of all people, but, you know, now that I see that you're happy, I guess I'm kind of warming up to the idea.
Katie: Good. Yeah, I think he proved himself when he rejected your little seduction routine.
Donna: (Chuckles) Okay, you do have an impact on him, Katie. And I hope that your relationship can blossom into something as beautiful as Eric and I have.
Katie: Me, too. You know, speaking of Eric, wouldn't it be great if somehow Bill and Eric could clear the air? I mean, I know this sounds ambitious. But what if they could just bury the hatchet? I mean, that way we could all hang out. We could travel together. I have a plan. I'm on my way to meet Bill at Café Russe. Why don't you and Eric join us for dinner?
Thomas: So you really think Owen's marriage to Jackie is for real?
Steffy: Absolutely. I know it is.
Thomas: Because he told you? Come on, Steffy. That marriage is a total publicity stunt.
Steffy: I told you, it's not like that. He is crazy about her. He says that she's elegant and classy. And he feels lucky to spend the rest of his life with her.
Jackie: Okay, maybe it's too much to ask for your forgiveness, but could you at least just try to understand? I had a little boy. I had to put food on the table. I did what I did for him.
Jackie: When Stephanie found out and she revealed it, the fashion world, they were definitely in shock, and Nicky was devastated, actually. But he came to my defense, and I pulled myself together, and then the shock value finally wore off.
Owen: So I'm pretty much the last person to know about this.
Jackie: Oh, darling, no one cares anymore. It hasn't been an issue for years.
Owen: Okay, you didn't even tell me. You didn't even give me a hint.
Jackie: Well, I'm telling you now.
Owen: Why? Why now? Why are you telling me now, huh?
Jackie: Because of the video. It's on the internet. I didn't mean to keep it from you. I just never-- I knew you'd be devastated, but we had said that there would be no more secrets between us ever.
Owen: Okay, so, I mean, you were-- you were young, and, you know, you had Nick, and you were struggling, so I mean it--
Jackie: Yes, I was. I was very young. I was very scared, and yes, I was a little stupid. But, Owen, please say you understand and forgive me. Please tell me this doesn't change anything between us.
Owen: But it does, Jackie. This--this changes everything.
Steffy: Owen and Jackie have something really special.
Thomas: If you say so.
Steffy: If you saw Owen's face when he talks about Jackie, his--his face lights up. I think it's sweet.
Thomas: Oh, spare-- are you reading those novels again?
Steffy: Oh, don't be such a cynic. All I'm saying is that he loves her unconditionally. It's rare. I think it's beautiful.
Jackie: You're angry, and you're confused.
Owen: No. No, I mean, this makes perfect sense. I mean, maybe that's why it was so easy for you just to hop into Whip's arms.
Jackie: Oh, how can you say that?
Owen: Look, you just dropped a huge bomb on me, Jackie.
Jackie: I know.
Owen: I don't know what to say. I don't even know what to think.
Jackie: I know. I know. I know. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
Owen: Look, I just-- I need some time to--to think, I mean, to put this together and just-- I just need some time, all right? I just--
Jackie: Owen, stop.
Jackie: Don't forget what we have together. Never forget that I love you.
Justin: I've seen you with a lot of women. I've never seen that look in your eye. This Katie must be quite a lady.
Bill: She's a good girl with a lot of potential, personally and professionally. I think she can be good for me in more ways than one.
Justin: I'm happy for you, Bill. It's about time you found yourself a good woman. I heard she works at Forrester Creations, the company you've been trying to get your hands on for years. That creating any problems?
Bill: Maybe a complication or two.
Justin: (Chuckles) Look, "Dollar Bill," you made me head of mergers and acquisitions for a reason. I think this company is ripe for a takeover. All we have to decide is when to make our move. No matter what's going on in your personal life, you have to go get it.
Donna: You want Bill and Eric to have dinner together?
Katie: Sure. Why not?
Donna: (Scoffs) Where do I start?
Katie: If Eric just gave Bill a chance, he would see that he's not just this ruthless business tycoon.
Donna: Yes, okay, I would like them to bury the hatchet, too, but it's just not gonna be easy like that for Eric.
Katie: When Bill came to the Royalty shoot at the pool, they were civil to each other. You know, they had a conversation without wanting to kill each other. Maybe that was a first step. This could be a second.
Donna: Does Bill know you're planning this?
Katie: No, I didn't think I should mention it.
Katie: He's having drinks with an associate, and I'm gonna meet him when they're through, and I'll just--I'll just tell him when I see him. All you have to do...
Katie: Is get Eric to come.
Donna: I'll ask, okay? But that's all I can promise.
Katie: Okay. Okay. Thank you. You're the best.
Donna: Now you owe me big-time.
Donna: Well, should be an interesting evening.
Nick: You spoke with Owen.
Nick: Obviously, it didn't go very well.
Nick: I'm sorry.
Jackie: Well, you did tell me not to tell him, didn't you? Perhaps I should have listened.
Nick: As hard as it was, you did the right thing.
Nick: He'd have found out eventually.
Jackie: Yeah. Yeah, I had to tell him. But I just wasn't prepared for his reaction.
Nick: It'll take some time.
Jackie: Oh, Nicky, the way he looked at me-- (Sobs)
Owen: Hey, man, can I just get a coffee, please?
Steffy: Owen, hey. What's wrong?
Owen: Look, Steffy, trust me, you don't want to be around me right now, okay?
Steffy: Hey, Owen, what happened? You look terrible. Wh--what's going on?
Owen: I found out something about Jackie tonight, something that might totally change the way that I see my wife.
Bill: Hey, beautiful.
Bill: (Chuckles) Uh, Justin, this is Katie Logan.
Katie: Hi. It's a pleasure.
Justin: Katie Logan. I remember you from the Royalty campaign and "The Logan Chronicles." Justin Barber. Nice to meet you, indeed.
Katie: Nice to meet you, as well. I-I'm not interrupting anything, am I?
Justin: Oh, no, no, no, no. It's my pleasure. I'm a big fan of your work.
Katie: Great. Thank you.
Bill: Justin works for me at Spencer Publications in New York.
Katie: Oh, you're not one of those New Yorkers who hates L.A., are you?
Justin: I went to school in the valley, but the college on the east coast came calling, and I've been away from L.A. ever since.
Katie: Welcome back.
Justin: Thank you.
Katie: Before I forget, um, Donna and Eric are going to join us for dinner.
Bill: Donna and Eric are coming to dinner?
Katie: Yes. Donna and I are determined to have Eric and Bill make peace. We're working on it. Oh, great. Thank you.
Nick: You want to tell me what he said?
Jackie: (Sighs) It really wasn't what he said. It was the look in his eyes, the hurt.
Nick: It was a long time ago, Mother. You had a kid to feed. You did what you had to do to survive, and eventually, he'll see that.
Jackie: He doesn't, at least not now. (Sighs)
Nick: Where is he?
Jackie: Um, he needed some time alone.
Nick: Give him some time. Once he realizes it's not about him and it's not about the relationship, he'll come around.
Jackie: I don't know. I really don't think he's ever gonna see me in the same way again.
Steffy: I just-- I can't believe it. I was in Europe. I never even heard about the scandal.
Owen: Well, she thought the whole thing was behind her. Then it popped back up on the internet.
Steffy: So what are you gonna do?
Owen: I don't know. I mean, I love her to death, and we've been through so much, and now this? It's like, God, I don't want this to change the way that I see her, but it's just not that easy. God, I just want to get past this, you know, and I want to move on. But it's just not that simple. I guess it's just kind of bringing up some-- some feelings in me and--
Steffy: Owen, you know you can talk to me.
Owen: There were times that Jackie made me feel like a--like piece of meat, like I was her--her boy toy, and--
Steffy: Yeah, the, um, Indulge campaign?
Owen: And Whip comes along, and he--he takes advantage of my feelings for her. I mean, he knows that I would do anything for her. And he uses that against me, and he uses it to make me look like an idiot. Then Jackie kisses him, and I forgive her, and I allow him to keep his job, and--what, am I a fool? Am I just, like, a complete idiot right now? It's--
Steffy: Hey, no, you-- no, you are not a fool. You are a kind, caring man.
Owen: I don't know. Maybe I'm--maybe I'm just kind of overreacting. You know, maybe I'm just too sensitive or something.
Steffy: I don't blame you for feeling that way. I admire you for trying to understand and forgive Jackie. That speaks to your character. You're the kind of man any woman would be lucky to have.
Katie: Thank you.
Justin: You and your sisters are a good team. Congratulations on the success of the Royalty campaign. Quite an accomplishment.
Katie: Thank you. Although I think my biggest accomplishment is winning over this guy here.
Justin: You're right about that one. He's... (chuckles) he's a tough one.
Katie: We just want Eric and Bill and everyone to just get along. No more battles between Forrester Creations and Spencer Publications. That's what Donna and I are really working on. Oh, and there's Donna. Oh, hi.
Katie: (Chuckles) Oh, you're beautiful.
Donna: Oh, thank you. You, too.
Katie: Where's Eric?
Donna: Oh, he had a late meeting, but he might try to join us later, so--
Nick: Mother, he's asked for some time. He probably needs to wrap his head around this whole deal, so give him a little time.
Jackie: Okay. I hope you're right.
Nick: He loves you. He wants some space, okay? So--so let him have it. He'll come around.
Jackie: Well, that's all I can do, isn't it, is have faith? Because I actually don't know what I'd do without him. He means everything to me. I don't want to lose him. (Sniffles) I won’t. I won’t. You're right. I'm gonna give him some space, and then he'll understand, then he'll forgive me, and, you know, the shock'll wear off, and then he'll be that same sweet, understanding man with his huge heart. I love him. (Sobs) Oh, I'm not gonna lose him, Nicky. I'm just not. (Sobs) I can’t. (Sobs)
Owen: Sometimes I just kind of feel like maybe I was born in the wrong decade or something.
Steffy: You're a modern man with old-fashioned values. I think it's sweet.
Owen: Come on, am I the only guy who still believes in sanctity of marriage and morality and monogamy?
Steffy: I do. I do. I'm--I'm one of those people, and I completely understand.
Owen: It's like you do. You understand exactly what I'm going through. I mean, I don't know. I just--I thought that she was so--so sweet and so pure and-- does that even exist anymore?
Owen: You know what? I guess it does.
Bill: Justin, this is Donna Logan.
Justin: Good to see you again, Donna.
Donna: Good to see you, too.
Katie: You two know each other?
Justin: We went to the same high school. I've been on the east coast since graduating. I work for Bill in New York now.
Bill: Justin's my right-hand man.
Justin: I heard about your marriage to Eric Forrester. Congratulations.
Donna: Thank you.
Justin: Mm. Any little Forresters yet?
Donna: No, uh, no. We're not planning a family, no.
Katie: Should we order appetizers?
Justin: Um, actually, I can't stay for dinner.
Bill: You taking off?
Justin: Just a little tired. I'm on New York time.
Bill: All right, well, listen, I've got this, uh, great new trainer. Why don't we do some sparring while you're out here?
Justin: Sounds good. It's been a pleasure, Katie.
Katie: Oh, yeah. Same here.
Justin: Good to see you, as well. See you again, Donna.
Katie: Hmm, well...
Bill: Well, here.
Katie: I am starving.
Bill: These are so good.
