Jackie: Owen! Owen, I'm up here! Look up here! Can you see the banner?

Owen: Oh, that crazy woman.

Jackie: Look at the banner, darling, look.

Owen: (Laughs)

Jackie: I love you, darling.

Owen: I don't believe this.

Jackie: I love you.

Ridge: Oh, Logan, I'm so sorry.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: How long has the family known about this?

Brooke: Dad's known for a while, but he's probably kept it from us hoping that it wasn't Alzheimerís.

Ridge: (Sighs)

Brooke: Mom has been deteriorating. She's been getting worse, Ridge. She can't do her basic arithmetic. She's forgetting people's names. She forgets what she says. She repeats herself all the time. So then, of course, she gets upset, and she gets frustrated. She's compulsive and neurotic and volatile. You don't know what she's gonna do or say.

Ridge: How have Donna and Katie taken this?

Brooke: (Sighs) My dad's only told me. He's going to find my sisters right now. We're gonna tell them together.

Ridge: Oh, Logan, is there anything I can do?

Beth: How dare you come in here and accuse me of anything after everything that you have done over the years, the way you've treated the Logans, always lording it over us as though you're so much better than we are. Well, you're not, Stephanie. Oh, I know you pretend to be all virtuous and moral, but it's a lie. You're whole life is filled with lies and dark secrets and--

Stephanie: Okay, calm down, Beth. Just calm down.

Beth: I-I don't want to calm down! I have things to say to you, and I am at last going to say them.

Stephanie: Well, okay, but there's no reason to get all upset. I can see you're angry, and so am I.

Beth: Oh, you're angry? Really? What are you angry about? What do you have to be angry about? I didn't try to ruin your kids' marriage, but you have done your level best to do that to Brookeís.

Stephanie: And you didn't have a hand in ruining mine?

Beth: (Scoffs) Eric belonged to me, Stephanie, not you.

Stephanie: (Scoffs)

Beth: Northwestern University--you remember that? Or is that one of the ugly little truths you don't like to think about up in your Beverly Hills mansion? The way you got pregnant and tried to steal Eric away from me, and it worked. Oh, yes, it worked, and the love of my life married you instead of me.

Stephanie: My God, this--this--this is a lifetime ago. What--what--let's just stay focused here for the moment, okay? I'm simply asking you not to interfere in my son's life.

Beth: (Scoffs)

Stephanie: Stop pushing Brooke onto him the way you did ten minutes ago, please.

Beth: I did not push Brooke-- do you--what are you talking about? Brooke isn't even here.

Bridget: So you actually went to bat for your mother and Owen.

Nick: I went out to the beach house. He was licking his wounds. (Muttering indistinctly)

Bridget: Hmm. What did you say to him?

Nick: Oh, I just tried to bring a little perspective.

Bridget: I am still amazed at your 180.

Nick: I think I was wrong about the guy. He doesn't want anything. I mean, he'll walk right away-- no severance package, nothing. He just wants the pain to stop.

Bridget: Well, it wonít. Do you actually think that they are over?

Nick: He needs time.

Bridget: Well, he's obviously still in love with your mom.

Nick: You know, he's hurting. The guy just can't believe that she didn't have any faith in him.

Bridget: Well, it takes a lot of trust to get-- keep a marriage together. I don't know if they can just get that back.

Nick: Yeah. Well, I did what I could.

Bridget: Hey. I'm really proud of you.

Nick: (Laughs) Yeah. Time will tell.

Pam: (Gasps) Oh, good.

Nick: Hi.

Pam: You're both here.

Nick: Yeah. We're in the middle of something here, Pam.

Pam: About your mom, right? Yeah, I know. I know. She's a mess. That--that's what I wanted to talk to you about. I-I just want you to know that everything's gonna be okay. I took care of everything.

Nick: How?

Pam: Well, they don't call me "the company matchmaker" for nothing, kids. (Laughs) I came up with a plan that's gonna get rid of this whole nasty mess.

Nick: Wh-what did you do? Where's my mother?

Pam: Well, you could say that she's higher than a kite right about now. (Laughs)

Jackie: Owen! Owen, I'm up here! Look up here!

Owen: Jackie, what are you doing?

Jackie: Look at the banner above me. Look! I love you, darling! I love you! Can you see it?

Owen: Oh, my God. What am I gonna do with this woman?

Jackie: The banner! Look at the banner!

Nick: My mother's higher than a kite-- what exactly do you mean?

Bridget: You didn't give her one of your special lemon bars, did you?

Pam: (Scoffs) Of course not. (Laughs)

Nick: So what did you do?

Pam: I helped her win Owen back. (Laughs)

Nick: How?

Pam: Well, at first, you know, I suggested that she apologize with something romantic, you know, like flowers or a home-cooked meal, but of course that wasn't good enough for your mother.

Nick: (Laughs)

Pam: No, she has to do everything with flair and style, you know?

Nick: Right. Yeah.

Pam: Something big and adventurous.

Nick: Right.

Pam: So I came up with a plan that your mother absolutely loved.

Nick: Oh.

Pam: She actually called me a genius.

Nick: (Laughs)

Pam: (Laughs)

Nick: What was it?

Pam: Well, have--have you ever seen one of those, uh, those parachute doohickey things out in the ocean, you know, like, behind a boat, though, and up in the air.

Bridget: A-a para--parasail?

Pam: That's it. (Laughs)

Bridget: What?

Nick: My mother's in a parasail rig?

Pam: Yes, at this very moment. She's flying high over Owen's beach house with a big sign behind her saying "I heart you, Owen."

Bridget: (Laughs)

Pam: (Laughing)

Nick: Tell me you're joking.

Pam: I wouldn't joke about something like that, Nick. Your mother loves that boy, and at this moment, she is reeling him back in.

Nick: My mother's flying over the ocean right now with a sign attached to her back?

Pam: You gotcha. Like a giant lovebird.

Ridge: Does Beth have a doctor in town?

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: If not, I'll find her one.

Brooke: Oh, no. She has-- she has very good doctors.

Ridge: What about some of these treatments you've been reading about, though?

Brooke: (Sighs) Oh, Dad's all over that.

Ridge: You said she's been erratic?

Brooke: Yeah. Something will set her off, I mean, even the smallest thing, and she'll just become so volatile. She's never had a temper before. (Sighs) I hate this. I hate what is happening to her. I don't want to lose her, Ridge. I don't want to lose her. (Sniffles) (Sobs)

Stephanie: What do you mean? You were just in here not ten minutes ago touting your daughter like she was some kind of--

Beth: Which daughter-- which daughter?

Stephanie: Brooke. Brooke.

Beth: What are you talking--

Stephanie: We're speaking of Brooke.

Beth: Brooke is a-a wonderful and a sensitive woman, and you have always treated her like trash. You always have.

Stephanie: All right, Beth. Okay, Brooke is wonderful, and she's sensitive. I would just like it if she would let Ridge make his own decisions about what he wants to do with his life.

Beth: Oh, like you let Eric make his decisions in college?

Stephanie: Eric isn't the issue here.

Beth: And then you got pregnant, and he married you instead of me.

Stephanie: You just said that.

Beth: And it was a lie. It was all a lie. I mean, it wasn't Ericís child. It was--it was Massimo's baby, but that didn't bother you at all...

Stephanie: Oh, God, this conversation is going nowhere.

Beth: Just as long as you kept Eric away from me. And then even after you got everything that you wanted, all those years you made our lives miserable--Ericís and my daughters' and mine and Storm--and you were ugly. You were ugly and hateful and you were always siding with that... (Inhales sharply) God, that--that--that woman-- the--the--the psychiatrist.

Stephanie: Taylor?

Beth: You are a spiteful person who hates her life. But Brooke does not hate her life, not when Ridge is in it. She has never done anything to you...

Stephanie: (Scoffs)

Beth: And I want you to back the hell away from her!

Stephanie: Are you serious? Brooke's never done anything to me? What, have you had a stroke or are you just forgetting everything on purpose?

Beth: I am not forgetting. I remember every horrible thing you ever did to us. And not--not to mention the disgusting things that you said on the--on the--the machine-- the--the computer about Eric.

Stephanie: Oh, my God. You're like a dog with a bone.

Beth: I want you away from us. I want you away. You are a spiteful person who hates her life.

Stephanie: Something's wrong with you.

Beth: You are what's wrong with me!

Owen: What are you doing up there?

Jackie: Can you see the banner? Look at the banner above me! Look! I love you! (Seagulls squawking)

Jackie: Oh!

Owen: Jackie, watch out for the birds!

Jackie: Get the birds away from me! Get the birds aw--get-- get away! Oh!

Nick: I can't reach her.

Pam: Nick, she can't answer the phone up there in the sky. Don't worry. Trust me. She is having a ball.

Jackie: Get away! Get away from us! Get away! Get away from me! Get away!

Owen: Oh, my God. She's falling.

Beth: You! You're what's wrong with me!

Stephanie: Stop it! Stop it! Beth, would you stop it?

Marcus: What's going on? What's--Stephanie!

Brooke: Mom! Mom!

Stephanie: Would you help me get her under control?

Beth: Let go of me!

Ridge: What the hell happened here?

Marcus: I don't know. I heard Grandma yelling outside, and I came in and Stephanie had her pinned by the arms.

Stephanie: Oh, I did not.

Brooke: You attacked her?

Stephanie: No, I did not attack your mother. She shoved me. That's what happened.

Nick: If she doesn't return my message in five minutes, I'm going to that beach house, and I'm gonna kill anybody I see.

Bridget: What is your mother thinking?

Nick: At this point, I have no idea. Parasailing into this guy's living room to win him back? I mean, it's insane.

Bridget: It actually does sound like Jackie-- flamboyant, crazy, loveable.

Nick: Let's just hope that he feels the same way.

Bridget: Would you go parasailing for me?

Nick: I would hang glide one-handed over the grand canyon for you.

Bridget: Look at you, trying to outdo your mother.

Nick: Mm-hmm. I just want her to be happy. That's all. I mean, parasailing-- can you believe this? I mean, how can the guy not take her back?

Jackie: (Sighs)

Owen: We've got to get you to the hospital, Jackie.

Jackie: No, no, no. Don't be silly. Don't be silly.

Owen: No, we've got to get you there, and we got to get you--at least get you a checkup, okay?

Jackie: I'm fine, really. I'm just--just chill-chilled. That's all.

Owen: Here. Here.

Jackie: And--and you're taking care of that. Thank you.

Owen: ...What were you thinking? You could have been killed.

Jackie: Oh, please. People go parasailing all the ti-time.

Owen: Look, they don't go parasailing with a big sign on their back that they want the whole world to see or--or me at least.

Jackie: (Sighs) It was, um, oh, Pamís idea.

Owen: Uh-huh. So that's--that's all that you have to tell me. That's it.

Jackie: Actually, I think it worked out quite well.

(Door closes)

Owen: Look, Jackie, you fell into the ocean.

Jackie: Uh-huh. (Laughs) And you rescued me.

Owen: Look, all right. All right. We got to--we got to get you into something warm, something dry. I know you're cold.

Jackie: It didn't have the intended effect, did it?

Owen: Well, if you intended on--on scaring me half to death by seeing you up there doing battle with seagulls and then plunging into the water...

Jackie: No.

Owen: Then, yeah, you succeeded royally.

Jackie: No, that's not what I meant.

Owen: Listen, what-- what were you thinking-- come on-- you risking your life like that?

Jackie: I needed to send you a message, something that was really unique and really irresistible. (Laughs)

Owen: (Scoffs) Listen--

Jackie: Got the unique bit right, didn't I? (Laughs)

Owen: Look, I told Nick that I just-- I needed a little bit of time, all right?

Jackie: I can't lose you, Owen. I can't lose you. I... (Laughs) I love you. I can't lose you. I need you. I miss you. I miss you.

Marcus: My grandmother is the most peaceful person I know. She didn't shove you. She wouldn't do that.

Stephanie: Well, I'm sorry, Marcus, but that's what happened.

Ridge: You didn't provoke her?

Stephanie: No, I--

Brooke: What were you arguing about or do I even need to ask?

Stephanie: I-I simply asked her to stop touting you onto him as though you were some kind--

Ridge: So what, it just got out of hand?

Stephanie: Yes, and I tried to calm her down, believe it or not.

Beth: (Scoffs)

Stephanie: Now I think I'm owed an apology.

Beth: An apology? Well, that is priceless.

Stephanie: Okay, fine. We won't go down that road. Look, I'm as upset as you are and have every right to be. You and I both know what exactly happened in this room. You shoved me.

Beth: What? I did not. I did nothing--I did not. I didn't--

Stephanie: Okay, fine. Fine, Beth. You know what? You're just out of control.

Beth: Well, you would know about being out of control, wouldn't you, Stephanie, over all these years?

Stephanie: I'm leaving.

Beth: Fine, you leave. You leave with the life that you stole from me.

Stephanie: This is ancient history. What--what the hell are you talking about?

Beth: You are gonna pay for this, Stephanie, you are!

Stephanie: Stop it!

Brooke: Mom! Let go of her!

Nick: Seagulls? Really? No, no, I-I'm sure that doesn't happen very often. Well, thank you very much for that information.

Bridget: What in the world?

Nick: Oh, no big deal. My mother was attacked by seagulls while she was parasailing.

Bridget: Seagulls?

Nick: Yeah. That's what the guy at the parasailing outfit just told me--seagulls.

Bridget: Well, uh, where is she? Is she okay?

Nick: I don't know. She took a dip into the ocean. Apparently she's fine. Some guy on a surfboard come out and rescued her.

Bridget: Owen?

Nick: Oh, I don't know. It seems as though he got her and took her back into his beach house.

Bridget: Well, then, maybe they'll kiss and make up.

Nick: Yeah. Kiss and make up. I wonder what I would do if some woman was flying across the sky professing her love. I guess I would have to think twice about that.

Bridget: Well, I'll remember that.

Nick: Okay.

Owen: Here. I got you a robe. You take that wet suit off and put this on.

Jackie: Okay. Um... maybe you could help me. You know, my suit's, uh...

Owen: Yeah. Here.

Jackie: Kind of difficult.

Owen: Here. (Zipping noise)

Owen: (Sighs) There. You can do the rest, right?

Jackie: Yeah.

Jackie: (Sighs)

Jackie: You're not ready to forgive me, are you?

Owen: I-I don't want to talk about it right now, okay?

Jackie: Owen, we have to talk about it. If Whip meant anything to me--

Owen: Look, I don't-- please, God, don't mention his name. Please.

Jackie: I never fathomed how deeply you felt about me.

Owen: So, what, you thought that that was true, what my brother said on TV?

Jackie: No.

Owen: That I was just-- what--what using you...

Jackie: No, no, no, no.

Owen: And for your money and, what, the good times?

Jackie: Oh, no. I didn't think that. (Sighs) I didn't think that, but let's face it--these April- September relationships-- they rarely work out, do they?

Owen: (Scoffs) Well, then you never knew me. You didn't even know me when you married me.

Jackie: I guess I didnít. I mean, I did know that you were sweet and thoughtful and fun and crazy and so attentive and gentle. But until this happened with your brother... I didn't realize how much you loved me. I didn't realize how vulnerable you were. And I certainly didn't realize that I could hurt you.

Jackie: (Sighs) You know, when I planned that dinner to tell you about the kiss, I wasn't at all prepared for your reaction. I knew you'd be angry, I mean, but a man like you who could have any woman that he wanted-- I thought you'd just-- (scoffs) get over it. I really wasn't prepared for the pain and the hurt that I saw in your eyes. And it was right then that I realized just how much you love me. And at that moment, I loved you so much, I would have died for you. Owen, I'm begging you. I can't lose you. You're the best part of my life. You are my life. I can't lose you. Please. I'll do anything to get you back-- absolutely anything. (Sighs) Obviously.

Owen: (Laughs) You know, you are completely... and totally off your rocker, woman.

Jackie: (Laughs)

Owen: Oh, my God, do I love you. I love you so much.

Jackie: Baby, I love you, too. I love you, too, so much. (Sighs) (Sighs)
