Nick: I've been calling you.

Jackie: Please. I don't want to talk.

Nick: Just tell me-- are you all right?

Jackie: No. No, I'm not. He's gone, Nicky. He's gone. Owen--he left me. He left me.

Beth: (Sighs)

Brooke: Don't worry, Mom. We'll get through this.

Beth: I wish I had your bravery.

Brooke: Where do you think I learned it? (Sighs)

Beth: Oh.

Brooke: (Sniffles) It's a sad fact, but if there's one thing that the Logans can handle well...

Beth: (Sighs)

Brooke: It's adversity.

Beth: Oh. (Laughs)

(footsteps approaching)

Beth: Speaking of which...

Ridge: Hello, Beth.

Beth: Ridge.

Ridge: I was just dropping these proofs off to dad.

Beth: Oh. Oh, look at my beautiful daughters.

Ridge: Do you like the campaign?

Beth: (Laughs) Seeing my girls dressed up like queens? You bet I do. I'd like to see them treated that way, too.

Nick: Damn it. I knew this might happen. (Sighs) (sighs) Well, maybe it's for the best.

Jackie: Really, Nicky? Oh.

Nick: I'm sorry that it happened, Mother, but maybe it's better that it happened now while this guy is still low on the totem pole. He can walk away with his car, a severance package. You don't have to deal with him at the office anymore.

Jackie: Oh, he's not going to be at the office. He's taken his things out of the loft. He's given me back the car. He doesn't want the severance pay. He doesn't want my money. He doesn't want my apologies. He's gone. Owen Knight is completely out of my life.

Nick: Mother, Owen may not want anything now, but when those lawyers start talking, his ear--

Jackie: Oh, Nicky. Nicky, please. (Sighs) He doesn't want anything to do with me. There aren't going to be any lawyers.

Nick: So he wants nothing? Nothing at all?

Jackie: I destroyed the one thing that really mattered to him. He's devastated, and absolutely nothing I said made any difference.

Nick: Maybe he really did love you.

Jackie: You didn't believe it? I guess, on some level, I wasn't sure either, but, God-- oh, God, to turn so quickly to Whip-- I mean...

Nick: Owen never mentioned that he had a twin brother. You thought Owen was the one spouting off about your marriage being a joke.

Jackie: Yeah, but I should have known that Owen would never do anything like that.

Nick: Did you try to explain that to him?

Jackie: Yes, of course I tried, but he... (sighs) and I thought he would understand. I-I thought I could make him understand, but I couldn’t.

Nick: Well, maybe I can try.

Jackie: You would talk to him?

Nick: Well, I'm not guaranteeing it'll do any good, but I...

Jackie: Oh, Nicky, thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Oh, thank you.

Beth: They say patience is a virtue. Well, if that's true, Brooke must be the most virtuous woman on earth. I, on the other hand, am not. When are you coming home, Ridge? What's keeping you away? Huh? Brooke wants you back. Your children miss you. Was her show of devotion not enough for you-- galloping down the beach to stop your wedding? She's proven her love. It's time for you to prove yours.

Pam: Lemon bar?

Jackie: Oh, no, thank you, Pam.

Pam: Jackie, I-I'm so sorry about what happened with you and Owen, but whatever this big mistake was, I'm sure it's not unfixable.

Jackie: Pam, don't want to talk about my private life.

Pam: Look, you know, I was one of the first people to meet Owen when he first came to Forrester, and, okay, honestly, I didn't trust him all that much. But hand to my heart, Jackie, I am telling you that boy has changed all because of you, which is why I'm gonna help you get him back.

Jackie: (Sighs) Nicky's going to talk to him.

Pam: Yeah, but talking goes just so far. If you really want to let him know how you feel, you've got to do something, Jackie-- something romantic, like, uh, flowers. No. Okay. How about, like, an amazing home-cooked meal?

Jackie: (Sighs)

Pam: Can you cook? Okay, no. That's not gonna work either, then.

Jackie: Yeah, I-I...

Pam: I--

Jackie: Just don't think that flowers and--and dinner I-is really the answer, okay?

Pam: Yeah. It's got to be something bigger, right? See, I-I was thinking the same thing, actually. (Sighs)

Jackie: I need to remind him of--of what we had, of what made us special. I need to do something that is big, epic. I need to put myself out there, up there.

Pam: (Gasps) Up in the sky! Jackie, does--does Owen still live in that beach house that he used to live in? Do you think that's where he is now?

Jackie: Yes, I think so.

Pam: Then I have got the perfect idea, Jackie. I've got the epic idea-- adventurous, completely unexpected, even a little bit risky. You say you want to really put yourself out there? Well, if you are willing to do this, then you will literally be soaring back into Owen's life. (Laughs)

Nick: I rang the bell. I guess you didn't hear it.

Owen: I didn't feel like being disturbed. You couldn't help yourself, could you? Had to come all the way out here just to do your little victory dance. Well, I'm finally out of your mother's life.

Nick: Well, I'm not here to celebrate.

Owen: Then what? You want to gloat? Is that what you want? Just say what you got to say and get out, all right?

Nick: I want you to take my mother back. I want you to give her another chance.

Pam: You know what I'm talking about-- the--those--those guys on the beach, you know, with those things up in the sky.

Jackie: Kites?

Pam: No. But--you know, behind a boat, like--like waterskiing with a--with a parachute.

Jackie: Oh, parasailing.

Pam: Yes!

Jackie: Oh.

Pam: Except with a sign behind it. You could do that, Jackie-- flying over Owen's house. How on earth could he ignore an apology like that?

Jackie: (Sighs) Well, it would certainly get his attention.

Pam: Yeah. I mean, you'd have to be nuts about him to try a stunt like that.

Jackie: Well, I need to do something that is big, that--that is... epic.

Pam: Yes.

Jackie: Let's do it.

Pam: Okay. You know what? I'll hop on the internet, and I'll get everything taken care of, but you have to think about what you want to say on the sign.

Beth: You love this woman, Ridge. You always have.

Ridge: Beth, you know as well as anyone-- sometimes love isn't enough.

Beth: Maybe not for most people, but you and Brooke are different. She's your--your destiny.

Brooke: Mom, uh, can I talk to Ridge a moment, please?

Beth: Of course. (Laughs)

Brooke: Uh, we'll be right back. We're just going to Rick’s office, so please stay right here. Promise me?

Beth: All right. Of course. Yes, I promise.

Brooke: Okay.

(Door closes)

Stephanie: Why am I not surprised? (Sighs) Would you please leave my son alone and stop pressuring him to get back with Brooke?

Beth: (Scoffs)

Owen: You're pleading your mother's case? Well, did she tell you what happened?

Nick: I'm not here to talk about that.

Owen: Well, then, what are you here to talk about?

Nick: The truth.

Owen: The truth? Well, by all means, Nick, please, tell me what the truth is.

Nick: The truth is you love her. You're probably scared to death, aren't you, because it's the first time in your life you felt something like that? I understand. We're men. We don't like to feel vulnerable because we think we're gonna be made a fool of. That's what you feel, isn't it? You feel like a fool. But... I know you love each other. So take it from someone who knows-- it's just not something you want to let slip away.

Pam: Oh, great. Thank you so much, Larry. Yeah, no, but--but it's-- it--it can't be one of your guys. It's really important that she do it herself. Yeah, she'll sign a waiver. (Whispers) You'll sign?

Jackie: (Mouthing words)

Pam: (Normal voice) Okay. All right, great. Um, so... all he needs to know is what you want to say on the sign.

Jackie: Um... I... love you, Owen.

Pam: (Whispers) Got it. (Normal voice) "I heart you, Owen," but, you know, the shape, not the word.   You can do that? Okay, thank you, Captain.  We're all set.  Here.  These are the directions that Larry wrote down.  And, um, what you do is you go to the Slip 14 and you look for the captain, then his assistant will get you in the rig, and you sign that waiver.

Jackie: [Laughs]

Pam: And next thing you know, you'll be flying high and into the heart of Owen.

Jackie: Parasailing.

Pam: Now, come on. You said you wanted to do something big.

Jackie: Yeah.  Owen said he fell in love with me because I wasn't afraid to take risks, but.. life with me was an adventure.  Well, he's about to find out just how adventurous I can be. Oh, Pam, thank you, thank you, you're a genius.  Really, you're a genius.

Pam: [Laughs] Thanks.

Stephanie: Stay out of my son's life.  Stop interfering.

Beth: Stop interfering? Oh, that is rich coming from you, Stephanie. Since that's all you have ever done in Ridge's life, and in Brooke's, and in mine.

Stephanie: Oh, God. [Sighs]

Jackie: Nice to meet you, Captain. [Laughs]

Captain: Hmm-mm.

Jackie: Uh, where do we start?

Captain: Got some safety regulations to go over. We have wet suits on board if you want one.

Jackie: Oh, wet suit. Good idea. Um, we don't take off from the dock?

Captain: Bad for the boat. You're supposed to land there, too, but they get caught in traffic, have to slow up, and you might take a dip.

Jackie: Oh.  Um, if you could just keep me up there as long as you can.  There's somebody that needs to see something and that's what this is all about.

Owen: I'm a little surprised by your visit, your attitude.  It doesn't seem like you, man.

Nick: Ahem.  Seems like I might have been wrong about you.  She's my mother. I want her to be happy. Right now she's not.

Owen: Well, I'm sorry about that.

Nick: I know you still care about her. If you didn't, it wouldn't hurt.  Listen, you're not the pool boy, okay? You're in a marriage.  If you want to be in a marriage, step up and do the right thing.

Owen: What, like she did? She saw my brother in an interview pretending to be me.  Did she confront me? Did she even question a single word that came out of his mouth?

Nick: She didn't know you had a twin. She thought it was you.

Owen: Well, she should have realized that there was something wrong, but she didn't.  She believed every single word of it, and that mean she thinks that I'm capable of-- You know, man, I just came out to be alone, all right?

Nick: My mother wants to make this right, which means that's what I want, too. So if you need time, I'll make sure you get it.

Man: That should do it.  Now, when we take off, let the line out.  Don't jump, push off. Let the parachute life you up.

Jackie: What about the sign?

Man: Now, don't worry about that.

Jackie: No, no, no, I have to worry about it because that's what this is all about.

Captain: All set?

Man: Okay, let's get out there.

Jackie: It has to work.  It has to work.

Ridge: If you're worried about what you mom said, don't be. She just doesn't like seeing you unhappy. Neither do I.  Logan?

Brooke: I have to explain something to you, Ridge. That's why I brought you in here. It's about my mom.  She's not herself right now, and she may not be herself for very much longer.

Ridge: What does that mean?

Brooke: Remember when she came to stay with us last summer?  When she was having some problems? She was-- She was really depressed and...some dementia?

Ridge: What's going on? What's up?

Brooke: It's Alzheimer's.

Ridge: No. Oh, Logan. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Brooke: [Sobs]

Jackie: [Screams] Oh! [Laughs]

Brooke: It's bad, Ridge. She's already stage 5.

Ridge: What does that mean?

Brooke: Well, it means she's going to need a lot of help from a lot of people very soon.  Her memory's failing, it.... She loses track of time. She just forgets what she's doing. One minute she's okay, and the next minute she'll be in a complete fog.  And this is just the beginning.

Ridge: Isn't there some sort of medication for this now?

Brooke: There is something that they can do to help slow the progress of the disease, but in Mom's case, it just-- it just isn't working. We're losing her, bit by bit.

Beth: I know you, Stephanie, and all your tricks and your strategies.  They're not going to work this time.

Stephanie: Don't you think that if my son wanted to be with your daughter, he would be?

Beth:  Well, if Brooke isn't the one, why hasn't he married Taylor? What's he waiting for.

Stephanie: Brooke had her chance with him.  He left

Beth:  Not because he wanted to. He didn’t know what to do.  He was confused. Eric had no choice--

Stephanie: You mean Ridge.

Beth:  Yes... Ridge.  That's what I-- Look, this is what you do, you twist things and you manipulate them, and I won't stand for it any more, Stephanie, and neither will my children.  The Logans are not simply going to be shoved aside.

Jackie: I'm okay! I'm okay! [Laughs] Oh, my word. What a view!  [Laughs]  Owen’s house.  Which one is it?  Darling! Darling, I'm up here! Look at me! I'm here!

Owen: Jackie?

Jackie: Can you see me? Here! Can you see the banner? Can you see the banner? Darling? The banner behind me.

Owen: I love you, Owen?  My God!  [Laughs]  That's outrageous.

Jackie: I love you! I love you is my message to you and to tell the whole world, I love you! I love you, darling!

Owen: Jackie, I-- Couldn't I --

Jackie: Look at the banner!  I love you!

Owen: Crazy.
