Owen: Is there something wrong?

Jackie: (Sighs) Forgive me. I know you will.

Jackie: Aloha. (Laughs)

Owen: Oh, my goodness. You have been hard at work.

Jackie: (Giggles)

Owen: Wow. This looks great.

Jackie: (Sighs) I'm glad you like it. I-I knew you would.

Owen: But wait a second. Is this what you wanted to tell me back at the office? This? Huh? Maybe you want to go back to Hawaii?

Jackie: Oh, darling, I would love to.

Owen: Well, you didn't have to do all of this here. I mean, come on. If it's Hawaii that you want, Hawaii you will get. Come on. I'll make the plans right now, hmm?

Jackie: Okay, but first, there's something that I need to tell you.

Bill: The surprise is in my office?

Katie: Yep. I hope so. Yep, there it is. Surprise!

Bill: What is that?

Katie: Well, I like to call it a stress reliever. Um, when one of these little guys pops his cute little head out of the hole...

(machine beeps)

Katie: You give him a whack. It's "Whack-A-Mole." (Laughs)

Bill: It's supposed to be therapeutic?

Katie: Yes, exactly. See? That's why I got it for you. Because then whenever you feel like insulting someone or ruining a reputation, or taking over a company, you just whack a mole instead.

Bill: Well, I guess I'll be wearing this thing out.

Katie: My thought exactly. Give it a try.

Bill: You want me to do this?

Katie: Yes, of course. You'll like it.

Bill: Okay.

(Whacks mallet)

Katie: Gosh, you're slow. (Laughs)

Bill: Uh, there's something else new in this office.

Katie: Oh, yeah?

Bill: Mm-hmm. You don't see it?

Katie: Uh, want to give me a hint?

Bill: It's a picture.

Katie: A picture?

Bill: Mm-hmm.

Katie: A picture. Picture... am I warmer? Am I--oh. (Chuckles)

Bill: Do you like it?

Katie: Yeah, I like it.

Bill: So do I.

Katie: (Chuckles) (laughs)

Whip: (Knocks on window) Uh, I'm on my way out. Anything I can help you with before I leave? Okay, so, uh, good night then.

Nick: Hang on.

Whip: Yeah?

Nick: Step in. Close the door.

Nick: Anything we need to talk about?

Whip: Fine. I can tell that you already know. Look, Nick, I didn't plan this. Your--your mother didn't plan it, either. You gotta believe me. All--all I was doing was trying to comfort her. She was--she was hurting. I mean, come on. After everything that Owen had said? Or so we thought. (Sighs) Look, all I wanted to do was be there for her. I care about her. Unfortunately for me, your mother is in love with Owen.

Owen: Okay, so this must be important, because it's not very often that I get a luau. Oh, my God. Something smells good. Who taught you how to cook Hawaiian food, huh?

Jackie: Oh, for goodness sake. Don't be silly. Me cook? I called a caterer.

Owen: Ooh. (Laughs) Okay, so...

Jackie: So tonight... is about us. It's about celebrating our marriage and our life together, because I want you to know just how important you are to me.

(Glasses clink)

Nick: So you care about my mother, and you were only comforting her, and you realize that she cares for this other guy. You know what really bugs me?

Whip: Do I want to know?

Nick: (Sighs) I don't like him.

Whip: Yeah, but your mother does.

Nick: Exactly. She's made it very clear how much she cares for him. And what really bothers me is that I'm actually starting to see how much he loves her. Ugh!

Jackie: I love you. I know I don't tell you enough. It's just--it's harder for me to express than you, I think. Oh, how did we get here? How did we get here? I mean, when I think where we came from-- that initial immediate attraction, who thought it would last? But you know what? (Laughs) I thought it was just gonna be fun.

Owen: Mm, what are you saying? That it isn't anymore? Hmm? Hmm?

Jackie: (Chuckles) I guess I'm shocked that it still is fun. I marvel at us. It started off as such a lark, really. I mean, it's-- it's ended up as so much more, hasn't it? I mean, everyone was against us, and you won them over, no one more than me. We're an unlikely pair. But it works.

Owen: Yes. It definitely does. You and me. And nothing's ever gonna change that.

Jackie: Oh, God, I'm glad you feel that way, because I do, too.

Owen: (Sighs)

Jackie: I do, too.

Bill: Ha!

Katie: Yeah, very good. (Laughs) See, now doesn't that make you feel better?

Bill: Yeah, it's a freakish gift, but a--

Katie: (Laughs)

Woman: Mr. Spencer, I'm sorry. I thought you had left for the evening.

Bill: Well, I'm back.

Woman: I'm sorry. Please excuse me. I had to-- well, these are the files that you need for tomorrow, and the contracts you were supposed to-- (sighs) I'll just put these on your desk.

(Mug clatters on floor)

Woman: Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, my gosh. I am so, so, so sorry.

Bill: Hillary.

Hillary: Oh, I shouldn't have been so clumsy. I can't believe that I did this.

Bill: Hillary. Please, get--get--get up. Get up. Don't, uh, don't worry about the carpet.

Hillary: But-- but it will stain.

Bill: Well, I will, uh, have it cleaned.

Hillary: Oh.

Bill: And if it doesn't come out, I will buy a new one.

Hillary: Okay.

Bill: Don't give it a thought.

Hillary: Okay.

Bill: What are you doing here so late anyway?

Hillary: I-I still have a lot of work yet to wrap up.

Bill: Um, well, you should, uh, you should go home.

Hillary: Oh.

Bill: I'm sure you've already missed dinner with your family.

Hillary: Um, I-I still have to organize your--

Bill: Don't you have a, uh, a-a daughter who plays soccer?

Hillary: Yes.

Bill: And I-I believe that, um, she has a playoff game in-- in Ojai. Isn't that right?

Hillary: Mm-hmm.

Bill: Well, you should, uh, you should go tomorrow and, uh, take the day off. Watch--watch her play.

Hillary: That's, um, thank you, but my husband's already made arrangements, and Amelia knows that with my work schedule, it's just not po--

Bill: Take the day off.

Hillary: But it's company policy to finish all assignments--

Bill: I make the policy.

Hillary: Right.

Bill: Hillary, I can change the policy. You work hard for me. I appreciate it. And you, uh, deserve the day off.

Hillary: (Laughs) Thank you. Thank you so much, Mr. Spencer.

Bill: No, no. Uh, don't worry about it.

Hillary: Okay.

Katie: Hmm. Someone was listening.

Bill: I always listen. I just don't always hear.

Katie: You took the time to learn something about your employees. I'm impressed.

Bill: Look, um, I know that now she's just going to work even harder for me, so I was just being selfish.

Katie: No, you werenít. Stop that. I think you're changing just a little bit. You know what?

Bill: (Sighs)

Katie: I like the new Bill Spencer. I like him a lot.

Bill: I think what you like is that you're seeing something that nobody has seen before in me.

Katie: A heart? Really?

Bill: (Chuckles)

Katie: You don't think anyone else has ever suspected its existence?

Bill: Doubtful.

Katie: Actually, I-- I kind of enjoy watching you fumble around with your newfound heart, trying to figure out how to use it. I have some experience with that.

Bill: Your brother.

Katie: Yeah. You know, I-I-I used to try and cover up my scar all the time. And then one day, I just figured, why? It's--it's part of me. It's who I am. No point in trying to cover it up.

Bill: No, it's the scars we have that make us who we are.

Katie: I guess if you can figure out how to overcome them.

Bill: It's not always so easy.

Katie: No, it's not easy-- anything but easy. I-I didn't even want to live after I found out what Storm had done, and I was so angry at him. I was so angry at the thought of having to wake up every day with my brother's heart beating inside my body.

Bill: It's a tremendous responsibility.

Katie: Yeah, it is. You get that, don't you? My--my sisters never did. Not really. I mean, they--they would-- they lectured me for weeks about how I should be grateful and--and how storm gave me this beautiful gift, and I should shout my thanks from the rooftops, and they just-- they couldn't understand that it's so scary and so horrifying to have to actually do something with your life, and now I have this other person's legacy that I'm responsible for. I mean, the minute I woke up, and I had Storm's heart in-inside me, I-it's not just me anymore. I have to take him into consideration with--with everything I do. I have to hope that I'm living up to his expectations.

Bill: You feel an obligation to do something special with your life.

Katie: Yeah, I guess so.

Bill: How about you let me help you find out what that is?

Whip: I'm not gonna deny it, Nick. Jackie's charming. She's smart. She's gorgeous. I would definitely be knocking on her door if she were available.

Nick: Well, she's not. So please, no more dramas.

Whip: Thanks.

Nick: Huh? Look, obviously, Owen cares about her. I'm her son. That's all that matters to me. Actually, I don't think I've ever seen her happy in her life, so let's just hope she holds onto that.

(Glasses clink)

Owen: You know, my brother is one idiot, but there is one good thing that came out of all this.

Jackie: What? What?

Owen: He showed us what we're made of. And I know how hurt you were and angry, but, um, come on. Look at us now. We're closer than we've ever been.

Jackie: Owen?

Owen: Jackie, what's wrong? What is--what is it?

Jackie: (Clears throat) I made a mistake.

Owen: Okay.

Jackie: I messed up. I'm really scared to tell you.

Owen: Listen to me. Jackie, come on. Come on, you can tell me anything. Go ahead, tell me. What is it? What--what happened? What's wrong?

Jackie: Okay. Mm, you're right. When--when I saw that interview, I... I was really heartbroken.

Owen: Yeah, I mean, of course you were. I can imagine everything that you were going through, I mean, here alone, thinking that I was the one--

Jackie: I wasn't alone.

Owen: Well, yeah, I mean, well, Nick was with you, which I can imagine he probably had some choice things to say about me.

Jackie: I was with Whip. He, um, he knew how devastated I was, and he held me.

Owen: Come on, don't you-- don't--don't tell me that that jerk came on to you.

Jackie: Look, I was in a horrible state, and he saw that, and he reached out to me, and... I was grateful.

Owen: I mean, Jackie, what is it that you're trying to tell me?

Bill: You've experienced life and death in a way that nobody else has, Katie. And I believe that you were brought back for great things.

Katie: I hope so. I really want to do something significant. I mean, there--there's gotta be some reason why I'm here and my brother's not. There's gotta be some purpose to this, something that only I can do. Otherwise, what's the point?

Bill: I want to help you find it, and I want to be there with you when you realize what it is you're meant to do.

Katie: Bill Spencer and Katie Logan conquer the world. I like the sound of that. I can't believe we're talking about this. I can't believe you understand.

Bill: (Sighs)

Katie: Most people donít. They--they don't understand the impact. They think, well, Katie has Storm's heart, and that's the end of the story, but it's not. It's just the beginning. I've gotta do something with his heart, something big.

Bill: Storm's heart is strong. I can feel it. And I can see the way you're looking at me. It's going to be an exciting ride for us, Katie Logan.

Katie: (Sighs)

Whip: Your mother's never been happier, but she's about to ruin everything.

Nick: You don't think it's a good idea if she tells Owen the truth?

Whip: I just don't think that honesty is always the best policy, Nick. I mean, come on. Technically, she didn't cheat on him. I know she feels guilty, but she has this overwhelming need to confess. I don't see how that's going to accomplish anything. I just don't want her to be hurt.

Owen: Jackie?

Jackie: Please, you have to understand. I was in such pain.

Owen: Oh, I'm sure, and Whip didn't mind swooping in, right?

Jackie: No, it wasn't like that. I was reeling. I mean, I trusted you. I believed in you, and then bam! In an instant, he--

Owen: Okay, what does this have to do with Whip?

Jackie: He was there, Owen. He was there. He saw my pain. I mean, I had just heard you tell the whole world that you didn't love me. I was so low. I was so demeaned by you.

Owen: Listen to me. But it was not me, Jackie.

Jackie: But I didn't know that.

Owen: Look, but I tried to explain. If you would have just answered the phone, we could have went through this, all right?

Jackie: I thought you'd betrayed me, all right? My whole world was shattered by you. And then I ended up in Whip's arms, and-- (clears throat) there was a kiss, all right? I know I crossed the line. I'm sorry. Please, Owen. Please, I'm begging you. Say you forgive me. Please.
