Brooke: Is this wedding what you want? Just say so, and I'll leave.

Ridge: Logan, I asked you to stay away. I asked you to respect my decision here.

Brooke: How can I respect your decision when I don't really believe that it's yours?

Taylor: Brooke, I don't mind if you want to express your feelings, but you're not going to come in here. I'm not going to tolerate you coming in here and--and accusing me of drugging Ridge and--

Brooke: Is she what you want? Really, Ridge, if this is what you want, just tell me, and I'll just hop on my horse, and I'll ride off into the sunset.

Katie: Brooke? Brooke? Anyone home? (Sighs)

Bill: Huh. Nice place.

Katie: What are you doing here?

Bill: Following you. I smell another Forrester scandal.

Katie: (Sighs) Only someone who is lower than low would use a private wedding to sell magazines...

Bill: Hmm.

Katie: If it even happened.

Bill: Well, low is a relative term.

(Cell phone rings)

Katie: (Scoffs)

Katie: Donna, I've been trying to get a hold of you. You've had your phone turned off.

Donna: Well, of course it's been off. I thought I was at a wedding.

Katie: Well, did the wedding happen or not?

Donna: Well, I don't know if it was technically over when Brooke came galloping in or not.

Katie: What do you mean, "galloping"?

Donna: Yeah, on horseback if you can believe it. She went all the way out to Point Dume to meet Ridge, and then somehow she realized that he never got her messages.

Katie: Well, of--of course he did. He answered.

Donna: No. No, that was Steffy. Look, it's a long story. Anyway, she came here going on dirt roads, jumping fences, and--I don't know-- like a bat out of hell and looking like one, too. And somehow she got here right before the minister pronounced them husband and wife, and I don't know if they are or not technically, because right now they're locked up in a room, and, um, I don't know what the hell's gonna happen.

Katie: Uh, o-okay, I'm coming right over.

Donna: No. No. Look, I have to go. Um, you stay put, because somebody needs to be there for Brooke when this is all over.

Katie: Okay. (Sighs) Bye.

Marcus: So the minister said he'll stick around as long as we need him to.

Stephanie: Oh, don't even let him think of leaving.

Steffy: The service is over. They said "I do." They're married.

Eric: Well, no, sweetheart, not legally speaking.

Stephanie: What do you mean? The minister has the papers. All they have to do is sign them, file them, and then it's legal.

Thomas: Then they'll sign the papers?

Ridge: Logan, you are making this whole situation so much more painful than it has to be.

Brooke: It's painful, because it's wrong, and I think you know it.

Ridge: I said my vows to Taylor. I--nobody held a gun to my head.

Brooke: If Taylor hadn't asked you to marry her, do you really think you'd be here today? No, you wouldn't, because this isn't what you wanted. All you wanted was not to hurt anymore, Ridge, over the loss of your daughter and the disrespect of my son, my stubbornness. And maybe you even wanted to believe that you were really in love with Taylor, but you're not. You're in love with me.

Taylor: All right, you know what? I'm not gonna stand here like I'm not even in the room in the middle of some marital spat. I'm not doing it, Ridge, so I don't know. I-I just thought that this is what you wanted.

Ridge: Taylor, I am sorry.

Brooke: I wanted to have this conversation before today, but your children wouldn't let me.

Taylor: If Thomas and Steffy hadn't gotten involved, would we still have been getting married? It--I thought you wanted to be with me.

Ridge: Taylor, I have never not been honest with you. Never.

Taylor: (Sighs) It's just that, Ridge, this hasnít... (Sighs) this isn't the way it should be. I-I want you to be 100% committed. I don't want to go through what I went through with our marriage before. I'm not doing that. As much as I love you and I want to be with you, I'm not doing this. I'm not doing this today.

Bill: Horseback?

Katie: (Sighs) You probably should go.

Bill: Just before the "I dos"?

Katie: I only know what I've been told.

Bill: (Laughs) You Logans-- always good for a headline.

Katie: Watch it. You can say what you want about me. Don't say anything about my sister.

Bill: You're the protector of her, huh?

Katie: Yeah, you bet I am. Brooke has never done a mean or cruel thing in her life. She's a good person. Sometimes she leads with her heart and that gets her into trouble. But she would forgive you a thousand times whether you deserve it or not. She will believe in you whether you deserve it or not. I ought to know. It's the way she's always treated me, no matter how many mistakes I've made.

Bill: I see.

Katie: You see what?

Bill: You're pretty hard on yourself, that's all. Now don't tell me you're not, because I've seen it-- what happened with Nick. You told me about the situation with your brother.

Bill: You're incredibly low, but then you remember that your big sister still loves you. I imagine that's a-a good feeling to know there's somebody out there who loves you no matter what.

Katie: You don't have to go.

Bill: Don't worry. I'm not going to file the story.

Katie: I know. Thanks.

Taylor: Thank you, everybody, for coming today. I really do appreciate all of your love and support. But, uh, this isn't going to happen.

Stephanie: Taylor, no.

Steffy: Mom, don't do this.

Thomas: You're already married. The reverend was one word away from saying you were husband and wife.

Steffy: All you have to do is sign the papers the minister has.

Stephanie: Ridge, are you going to allow this?

Eric: Stephanie, donít. Let Taylor finish.

Taylor: Thank you. Um, I appreciate all of your concern. I really do. But I had wanted this day to be special, and I wanted it to be sacred, but since that got shot down...

Thomas: Are you happy now, Brooke? Are you?

Ridge: Thomas, don't do that, please. I know how much you and your sister wanted this wedding. If you need to blame someone, blame me. I happen to have two families I love very much, but there were conversations I needed to have, understandings I needed to reach before taking a step like today. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. So it's back to the drawing board. We all go back to doing our best to be honest and respectful and patient with one another, okay? There will be no wedding today. But nothing else has changed. Home is still home, and that's where we're going right now.

Steffy: Okay.

Ridge: You gonna be all right getting home?

Brooke: Yeah. I'll call the stable. I'm sure somebody will be able to pick me up. Ridge, don't be upset. I had to do something.

Ridge: Are you ready?

Taylor: I just have to get a few things.

Ridge: Well, I think Mother can help with that, right?

Stephanie: Of course.

Ridge: (Mouthing words)

Taylor: (Mouthing words)

Brooke: (Sighs)

Katie: Oh, my God.

Brooke: Oh, I know. I know what it must look like.

Katie: Did you ride through a hurricane? And Donna told me what happened.

Brooke: (Scoffs) (Sighs) Well, it's dinnertime.

Katie: Uh, don't worry about it. Rick brought the kids from the beach, and, uh, we had a little barbecue out back. (Laughs)

Brooke: Are they upstairs?

Katie: No. No. Thorne came and picked up Aly, and she wanted R.J. and Hope to go over for a sleepover, so I said yes. Well, I just figured you might need some quiet time.

Brooke: (Sighs) Katie, I love my kids. They're good company.

Katie: Well, I'm sorry.

Brooke: That's okay. Uh, it's okay. I-I can handle being alone tonight. It's only temporary.

Katie: Did you and Ridge talk?

Brooke: Well, we weren't really able to be alone.

Katie: But you seem optimistic.

Brooke: He didn't marry Taylor.

Katie: Where is he now?

Brooke: He's over at Taylorís... (Sighs) with Taylor, Thomas and Steffy. He just really needs to heal. All of this was so sudden for both of us. I think we're just shell-shocked. (Sighs)

Katie: What about Taylor?

Brooke: Oh, she doesn't understand the situation. She's trying to convince Thomas and Steffy to accept something that isn't going to happen.

Katie: Are you sure that's not what you're doing?

Brooke: No. (Laughs) Don't worry about me, Katie. I know Ridge. If he really wanted to be married to Taylor, he would be.

Thomas: Anybody want more of this beef thing?

Steffy: Why is this broccoli cold and everything else isn't?

Thomas: I can microwave your plate.

Ridge: No, thank you.

Thomas: We're never gonna eat all this.

Taylor: Look, why don't you invite some friends over tomorrow to hang out by the pool, and you can give it to everybody and say it's a big party?

Thomas: Right. Hey, guys. My parents were gonna get married, then decided not to, so let's all party down on the reception food.

Thomas: (Sighs)

Ridge: Okay, well, I'll just pack everything up and, uh, take it to the homeless shelter then.

Steffy: This is my fault.

Ridge: No, it's not, sweetheart.

Steffy: I just thought you made up your mind and that you didn't have anything left to say to Brooke, and she was just being a nuisance.

Taylor: Look, I'm all for the two of you taking responsibility for your actions, but you didn't stop the wedding.

Thomas: Brooke did.

Taylor: No. I did. Brooke just made an entrance.

Steffy: Okay. I just think this is an example of what you've been telling us-- that if you don't talk it out, it's gonna come out somehow and most likely destructive. And I'm sorry. I mean it.

Thomas: So am I.

Ridge: Thank you. But I don't think it would be fair not to point out that you guys were dealing with a problem that I created. I know that. And I'm amazed how loving and patient you and your mom have been towards me the last long while. But because of that, I think I can afford to be a little more patient with Brooke.

Brooke: He'll be back.

(Pounding on door) (Pounding on door)

Brooke: Oh, my God! How dare you?

Stephanie: You are such a selfish bitch!

Brooke: (Scoffs) Look who's talking. You're the one who shot Ridge out of a cannon into a happily ever after with Taylor, and it didn't work.

Stephanie: Oh, really? He's with her now, and here you are all alone.

Brooke: I'll be fine, Stephanie. Don't worry about me.

Stephanie: Oh, I am worried about you, because I can see where this is headed. You're getting crazy. You're getting mentally unstable again.

Brooke: You're getting crazy.

Stephanie: Who the hell knows where you're gonna show up? Fall out of the sky, ride in on a horse. You don't love him. You don't really love him, because you are incapable of being unselfish. You had to ruin that wedding. How fun for you. Well, thank God those two are adults, because you're not. You're just an adolescent. And you know what? He's gonna marry her. You know why? Because men like to marry women, not little girls. And she gives him what you are not capable of giving him-- peace and stability. And believe me, there's a lot to be said for that.

Brooke: (Sighs) Oh, Stephanie. How many times have you done this? How many times have you come to my door to claim victory and then later on have to eat your words? I don't want to do this with you. I'm not gonna fight. Pretty soon, you're gonna be my mother-in-law again, and we'll have plenty of time to squabble over potato salad and politics.

Stephanie: Potato salad? This is exactly what-- you are losing your mind again! He's living under the roof of another woman. He would have married her today. What--because he is a good man, he is going to try to help you accept this gracefully. Now you and I know you're not capable of that. So please be unselfish and just let him go for your own sake.

Brooke: (Laughs) I really don't need to listen to you. You're only the mother. Oh, but that's the problem, isn't it? You're only his mother. And you've always wanted to be so much more. You can't control Ridge, and you can't control me. Your son is coming back to me. That's why you came here today, isn't it?

Stephanie: Not if I have anything to do with it will he come back to you. Dream on, little girl.

Brooke: Oh, ho ho. I do.

Stephanie: Little girl!

Brooke: I do. I dream on.

Stephanie: That's what you are.

Brooke: I dream on, and my dreams bring me so much happiness, Stephanie, more than you'll ever have in your whole life! (Sighs)

Taylor: So you're, uh, you're really going to take all of that to the homeless shelter tonight?

Ridge: Well, there's a lot of good food here and a lot of hungry people out there. I just don't want it to all go to waste.

Taylor: You're a good man, Mr. F.

Ridge: Doc, I am so sorry for what you went through today.

Taylor: No. Don't worry about it. I'm okay. I really am. I know you think I don't mean that, but I do. I do, because I realize that, uh, I have forgotten a very important life lesson, something I learned the last time-- that if we're gonna be together, that you have to want that 100%.

Ridge: (Sighs) Doc, um--

Taylor: No. I-I am not criticizing. I am not controlling you. I'm just saying that this is something that you have to be ready to do without hesitation. That's all. You know, I-- (Sighs) I'm okay with it. If--if I wasn't, I wouldn't be letting you stay here.

Ridge: Doc, if you'd like me to stay somewhere else, it's not a problem.

Taylor: No, Ridge.

Ridge: If it's going to be too difficult for you, I understand.

Taylor: No. I'm okay with it. You know, look at this place. You've lived here before. Everything's fine. We may not be sharing the same bed, but it's okay, you know? It's--it's good, because now at least I know where we stand, and I-I think we're both very clear on what the situation is. We can just look at it as like a-a rehearsal of how life should be with us together.

Ridge: (Sighs)

Taylor: That's all. You know, there's no adjustments. There's no trying to figure things out. You--you've lived here before, and I think you'll be very comfortable knowing that this is the same old everything-- all the good things that you've had before with your family... and me.

Ridge: (Sighs)

(Cell phone rings)

Ridge: Logan.

Brooke: I know you can't talk right now, but I just wanted to say thank God that we have another chance. I know you can't call it that yet. But you didn't marry Taylor today, and I think that's going to be the best thing for everybody. I will win you back. I know that's hard for you to believe right now, but I'll believe it enough for the both of us. I love you so much, and I always will. And I know that you love me, too. Good night. Logan over but not out.
