Ridge: Tell them, Brooke. Tell them that you absolutely forbid this relationship. I need to hear you say those words. Tell your son that he's finished with my daughter!
Brooke: (Sighs) I can't do it, Ridge. I-I can't stand in the way of Rick and Steffy's relationship any longer. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, but I just can't do it.
Thomas: Phoebe's favorite roses.
Taylor: Your father must've left those. He comes here all the time.
Thomas: (Sighs) I just wish he would come back to our family.
Taylor: So do I, Thomas. But he's with Brooke.
Thomas: How can he stay with her knowing that her son is responsible for this? I just don't get how Dad deals with Rick. Phoebe would still be here if it weren't for him. But Dad has to deal with him day in and day out. It's gonna cause him a lifetime of hell.
Ridge: You're agreeing to this knowing how I feel?
Brooke: Yes, and I understand why you feel the way you do. But, Ridge, they have repeatedly tried to respect your wishes to stay apart, and they can't, because their feelings for each other are just too strong. Now they've made their intentions very clear. They are determined to be together.
Ridge: So I'm supposed to just drop it and move on? Is that what you're telling me?
Brooke: Ridge, they're adults. They're going to do what they want to do regardless of if we approve or not. Really, I think they can make each other very, very happy. (Sighs) I'm sorry if you don't understand where I'm coming from. I just can't stand in the way of this any longer.
Steffy: Dad, I know this is hard for you, but can't you just try to accept us? Brooke is willing to.
Ridge: How can you even ask that of me, Steffy?
Brooke: Please, Ridge, let's just give them a chance.
Ridge: I told you this couldn't happen. After everything he's done, you should be supporting me. I can't even believe this, Brooke.
Ridge: Go. Somewhere, anywhere. Just--I can't stand to look at this. Go!
Ridge: No. I knew Rick wouldn't stay away from Steffy. I would have been so stupid to think that he would give her or me one moment of peace. But I never-- I never thought that you would betray me.
Brooke: I'm not betraying you.
Ridge: He is a threat to my remaining daughter, and you're condoning their relationship, Brooke.
Brooke: My son is not a threat to Steffy.
Ridge: Oh, come on, Brooke. How can you possibly believe that? You're so unwilling to see your son for who he really is. I can't take this anymore. I've had it. God! You knew that Rick was the only thing that could break us up, and now he has.
Brooke: Ridge, please don't say that. (Sighs) We can get through this. We have been through so much lately, and we have managed to stay together.
Ridge: We're not together, Brooke. We should be, but we're not. You're on your side with your son, and I'm on my side alone. I can't take this anymore. I'm done. I've had it.
Brooke: Ridge, don't say that!
Ridge: I love you. I love you, and I will always love you. But I will not tolerate this. I canít. Your son is a threat to my daughter, and I will not tolerate it anymore. And he's a threat to me. He's a threat to my sanity, Brooke, but you just don't seem to give a damn about that at all. I'm done! Done, that's it!
Brooke: Ridge. Ridge, wait. Come back here! Ridge! (Car door slams) (Engine starts) (Tires squeal)
Eric: Come back, Stephanie. Please. I'll give you an office. You're missed here.
Stephanie: You miss me like a toothache. What you miss are the sales and the distributors and my relationships with the clients and the contractors. And that's all gone because you fired me. Remember?
Eric: That may have been a mistake.
Stephanie: You bet it was.
Eric: I'd like to rectify it.
Stephanie: And how? (Chuckles) By--By bringing me back here to work with Rick and Donna and Brooke? Why would I do that?
Taylor: Ridge? Did something happen? Are you okay?
Ridge: I didn't know where to go. I, um, I just knew I couldn't stay there. Not with him there.
Taylor: Don't tell me--
Ridge: He's gone after Steffy again.
Taylor: No, no. (Sighs)
Ridge: I had to get out of there. I had to leave. I-I-- I didn't know what the hell I would do, what I would say.
Taylor: To Rick?
Ridge: To Brooke. She's supporting Rick and Steffy. How could she do this?
Ridge: She knows how much I need her support. She just doesn't give a damn. It's over, Taylor. I-I'm done. I'm done. I-I've left Brooke.
Taylor: (Sighs) Ridge, it's going to be okay. We're going to get through this.
Ridge: What are we gonna do about Steffy?
Taylor: We are going to keep Rick away from her. I don't want him anywhere near her.
Ridge: God, thank God someone finally agrees with me. Brooke just doesn't get it. I've already lost one daughter to her son. Now he's going after Steffy again. After everything he's done to you, to Phoebe-- I can't take it anymore, Doc. I just can't take it.
Ridge: Oh, Phoebe. Our sweet little girl. He took you away from us. I want you back. If there was only some way to have you back.
Ridge: Rick is going after Steffy again. God, if the same thing happens to Steffy--
Taylor: Ridge, please. Ridge, stop. Listen to what I say. That is not going to happen. Ridge, we are going to protect her. She is going to be fine.
Ridge: She's gonna date him. I can't stop her. If I try, they--they're just gonna do it behind my back. It's-- she's gonna be in a car with him somewhere. Something's gonna-- Brooke isn't stopping it, Taylor. She's not doing a damn thing to stop it.
Taylor: Hey. Here. Take one of these. It's a prescription that Dr. Kibe gave me after we lost Phoebe. It--it's for anxiety. It'll just take it-- take the edge off.
Taylor: Ridge, I don't want you to be alone. Let me take you back to the house.
Ridge: No. No, no, no, Doc. I don't want to see anyone. I don't want to see Rick. I don't want to see Brooke. No one.
Taylor: Well, then I'll take you away. I really think you just need a little time so you can level out.
Taylor: Ridge, everything is going to be okay. I'm here for you. I'm gonna help you.
Eric: You belong at this company, Stephanie.
Stephanie: No, not anymore.
Eric: You created at least 50% of it.
Stephanie: Thank you. You made your choice. You picked your young trophy wife, and it has consequences.
Eric: Donna brings a great deal of joy to my life. I miss my family, though.
Stephanie: (Chuckles) You always wanted to have your cake and eat it, too. What does this-- what is this sudden nostalgia all about? Is the sex getting old? Honey, you walked out of our marriage, and you threw me out of the company, okay?
Eric: And you put this company and me through one hell of a bad time recently. You know that.
Stephanie: Yes, I did, but I came through for you when Spencer wanted to take control, and I went out on a limb big time to keep you from going to jail, so let's just say we're even.
Eric: I disagree. I think I still owe you. There's still a place for you here at Forrester, you know?
Stephanie: Why would I do that to myself? Come here and work side by side with Donna and--and watch her outrageous behavior? Oh, Eric. And--and in her defense, it's not just her. You have to own part of that. Eric, I think that you have to-- I think you have to step back a bit, honey, and-- and look at this through other people's eyes. Think about how this affects our children, the employees, you know, when they hear all this moaning, groaning, grunting, blah, blah, blah, coming out of the office. It's-- it makes them uncomfortable. And for me to be here, well, that would just be intolerable. Come on. We had something extraordinary once. You chose to walk away from it. Fine. But a cautionary moment here. Your behavior has an effect on the company and on your reputation. I don't want to be a part of that. I deserve better. And you know what? I found something better. I have. You know, I've got a new life, a new company. I no longer have a place here at Forrester. I don't want to be here.
Donna: Oh, honey?
Eric: Donna, give us, uh, give us another moment, will you?
Stephanie: No. Come on in, honey.
Stephanie: We're finished.
Ridge: I just want to be away from all of it. I don't want to feel like this anymore. Where are we going?
Taylor: Big Bear.
Ridge: Oh, Doc, no.
Taylor: Look, nobody will know where you are. Nobody will be able to find you. It'll just be you and me, okay?
Taylor: We're going to deal with this, Ridge. I'm going to take care of you, okay? Don't worry.
Taylor: Hey. Uh, you need anything? Want me to make you anything?
Taylor: Has the pill started to work yet?
Ridge: My mind's still racing, thinking about Steffy and what could happen to her. I'm scared, Doc. Am I overreacting?
Taylor: No, you-- you definitely are not. Ridge, how many times have we made it clear to everyone that we do not want this relationship to happen? Rick I would expect to try to break the rules, because he's proven over and over that he can't be trusted. But none of this would even be happening if--if Brooke had just put her foot down in the first place. I-I can't believe she's even condoning this relationship. It is absolutely unacceptable.
Ridge: I have told her how I feel. She knows how against it I am, and she just still goes ahead and supports it.
Taylor: Well... (Sighs) where is her compassion and--and her empathy for you? It's like she can't even put herself in your position to--to understand what kind of pain you've been going through. I mean, you just lost your daughter. I really think that you haven't even been able to get past your first stage of grieving, because you haven't really had this person in your life that's supporting you and giving you the understanding and the validation of what-- what you've been dealing with-- the greatest loss in your life. You can't heal if you're holding all of that stuff in.
Ridge: You understand.
Taylor: (Sighs) I understand probably more than anybody.
Taylor: Would you let me help you? Let me help you heal.
(Cell phone rings)
Brooke: Where are you, Ridge?
Brooke: Where are you?
(Cell phone vibrates)
Taylor: (Thinking) No, Brooke, you've done enough damage already.
Taylor: Come here.
Taylor: I'm here for you, Ridge. I'm here for you always.
