Rick: I never thought I'd be saying this, but I really am getting a lot out of therapy.

Brooke: That's great. It's good to hear.

Rick: Yeah, I mean, I'm-- I'm learning so much about myself, and it's about time, huh? (Laughs)

Brooke: Well, it's a long process for all of us.

Rick: Yeah. So I won't get into the details then...

Brooke: Mm.

Rick: Because there's something else I want to talk to you about. I'm still very much in love with Steffy, and I want her back.

Brooke: Oh, Rick. (Sighs)

Rick: Just hear me out, please, all right? I--like I said, I'm really working hard on myself and changing, getting past my anger, getting rid of my anger towards Ridge, and I-I don't want to be that person anymore.

Brooke: What if Steffy won't take you back?

Rick: No, I believe she will.

Brooke: What about Ridge?

Rick: Well, I can only change myself, Mom. I can't change him, but I think that if he sees me working hard on myself and--and changing that he will accept me. There's still something else.

Brooke: (Chuckles) What's that?

Rick: (Chuckles) I need your support.

Brooke: (Groans)

Rick: Listen, I-I mean it this time when I tell you that I don't want to come between you and your husband. I really don’t. But you and Dad are kind of my only support system around here nowadays, and Dad is always busy at the office, so I-I really need to know if I can count on you. Will you be there for me?

Brooke: I will always be there for you. You know that.

Rick: I do. Thank you. (Sighs)

Eric: Good. Good. You're both here. I wanted to talk a little bit about possible title changes before we get started this morning.

Felicia: Daddy, you're not going to jail.

Eric: This has to be done, Felicia. (Intercom buzzes)

Eric: Yeah? All right. Send him in. He's here.

Bill: Well, well, the family trust and then some.

Felicia: What the hell do you think you're doing?

Bill: You must be Felicia.

Felicia: You must be the rat.

Bill: I take offense to that. I'm a fine, upstanding American safeguarding our borders. So, Eric, what's it gonna be?

Eric: I'm not selling you Forrester Creations. Not today. Not tomorrow. Not in your lifetime.

Bill: So let me get this straight. You would prefer to spend the rest of your lifetime behind bars.

Eric: My attorneys will fight you.

Bill: They'll lose. I've got something here to show you. You will see this on the newsstand in the next couple of days. Nice graphics, don't you think? Sign the contract, Eric, and you'll spend the rest of your life on a golf course, as opposed to in a prison yard.

Eric: I wouldn't sell you the company if you offered me a billion dollars. I won't do it, Spencer.

Steffy: Oh, no, thank you. (Sighs) God, what am I doing here?

Steffy: Why did I agree to this? Why? I gotta get out of here. (Sighs)

Ridge: Mm.

Brooke: Mm. (Chuckles) Maybe we should take this up to the bedroom.

Ridge: Oh, you're just full of great ideas this morning.

Brooke: Mm. Maybe we'll just hop in the car and go to the desert for a second honeymoon.

Ridge: Ooh.

Brooke: What, sweetheart?

Ridge: You just reminded me of something I need to tell you.

Brooke: Okay, well, I'm listening.

Ridge: It's about our marriage license. There's just a bit of a problem.

Brooke: What is it?

Ridge: It seems Aunt Pammy messed up the paperwork.

Brooke: Aunt Pammy?

Ridge: Mm.

Brooke: What? What are you talking about?

Ridge: Oh, it's just a clerical-- stupid clerical error. We'll get a new one.

Brooke: Are you telling me that we're not really married?

Brooke: H-how can this be? Pam messed up our marriage license?

Ridge: Honestly, I don't know why Dad even keeps that woman on.

Brooke: (Scoffs) Because she is Stephanie’s sister, that's why. Oh, my God. Stephanie's gonna have a heyday with this one. Pam told her, right?

Ridge: Yeah, Mother knows.

Brooke: Oh, great. And I guess you just found out.

Ridge: Actually, I've known for a while.

Brooke: And you said nothing to me?

Ridge: I didn't think there was any reason to upset you.

Brooke: Ridge, how long were you going to keep me in the dark?

Ridge: Until we got it fixed. Logan, listen to me.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: Think of it this way. It's just an excuse to do it all over again. The wedding, the honeymoon, everything.

Brooke: So we are going to have a second honeymoon?

Ridge: You listen to me. Our honeymoon is never gonna end. You and I, we are in it for the long haul.

Brooke: The long haul.

Ridge: Mm-hmm.

Brooke: (Chuckles) I like the sound of that. Tell me more.

Ridge: Oh, this feels so good-- coming home, having you in my arms, knowing I don't have to worry anymore about Rick and Steffy. That is all done and gone, completely and totally over. It feels so good.

Rick: I've missed you.

Steffy: I missed you, too. I almost didn't come here when I got your message.

Rick: I've been trying to stay away from you, Steffy.

Steffy: I know.

Rick: I don't want to do that anymore. I want a second chance. But the reason why I want a second chance is that-- it has nothing to do with your father. It's about you and how much I appreciate you, how much I respect you as a woman. But these are just words. I don't expect you to believe them. I-- all I'm asking for is a chance, an opportunity to prove it to you, if that's what you want. Is it?

Steffy: I think you know the answer to that.

Bill: Are you all hearing what I'm hearing from your father? It's called denial. He will lose his company, whether or not he sells it to me. It's really a question of whether or not he walks away with $50 million or a prison sentence.

Felicia: He hasn't done anything wrong.

Bill: He hasn't done anything wrong? He has hired illegal immigrants and given them false identities, and he's been doing it for years. Do you have any idea how many federal laws he's broken? What kind of time he's looking at?

Stephanie: You want him to sell you Forrester Creations. And if Eric doesn't do that at a fraction of what it's worth...

Bill: (Clears throat)

Stephanie: You're gonna call the I.N.S., you're gonna turn him in, and you think he'll go to jail?

Bill: Bingo.

Stephanie: Isn't that called, uh, blackmail and extortion?

Bill: You can call it blackmail. You can call it whatever you want. The bottom line is, either Eric signs the company over to me right now, or I will use the full force and weight of my publishing empire to send him away for a long, long time. Then I'll buy the company for less.

Felicia: Daddy, do it. Just sign it. We'll figure out a way to carry on.

Thorne: I agree, Dad. It's not worth going to prison over, okay? We don't want to lose you.

Eric: I will not cave in to extortion.

Bill: Oh, I think you will.

Bill: Sign it.

Bill: All right, Eric, have it your way. I'm gonna call my printer and tell them to go to press right now.

Stephanie: Pam, send them in. I wouldn't do that if I were you.

Bill: Why is that?

Stephanie: Bill, I'd like you to meet someone.

Bill: And who's this?

Stephanie: Oh, these are our attorneys. I thought it might be a good idea if they had a recording of everything that you said.

Stephanie: You didn't really think you were smarter than me?

Steffy: I was hoping in time, my dad would come around and give us another chance.

Rick: He will.

Steffy: When? It feels like we've been apart for so long.

Rick: We're not gonna be apart anymore. I've talked to my mom. She gets it.

Steffy: Because she follows her heart. She always has.

Rick: I know. And you know what's funny? I never understood that. I never got it until now. I mean, if you don't follow your heart, you live with regrets, and I don't want that. Not for you. Not for us. So let's go talk to your dad.

Steffy: I hope my dad's gonna be ready for this.

Rick: Oh, he's never gonna be ready for it.

Steffy: (Chuckles)

Rick: That's why we have to show him that we are different this time around, that I'm different. It's the only way. We have to be completely and totally up front with him.

Stephanie: You want him to sell you Forrester Creations, and if Eric doesn't do that at a fraction of what it's worth...

Gloria: I think we've heard enough. You carry through with your threat, and we've got everything on you, Mr. Spencer.

Bill: It's leverage. It happens in business all the time.

Stephanie: Mm, not like this. I mean, go ahead and play your hand, but if you expose Eric, I'll expose you, and that recording will be all over the media and the internet just like that.

Bill: It's not gonna keep him from going to prison.

Stephanie: Maybe not, Bill, but it'll put you in a cell right next to him.

Gloria: She's right. Feds get wind of this, expect an indictment.

Stephanie: You know, L.A. seems like such a vast space, but it's really just a small town, especially to the people that have lived here for a long time. You blow in from the east coast like some hot air balloon, and you think that you are going to bamboozle a family that this town loves? (Laughs) Extortion? Blackmail? Amateur tactics. Did you really think you'd get away with it? Because that's not the way it works here. I suggest that you pack up your tent and slink off into the night.

Bill: The man humiliated you, practically eviscerated you from his company, from his life. And yet you still defend him.

Stephanie: Family squabble. Happens all the time. And we always get through it, because we are a family. And you know what we do to arrogant sons of bitches like you? We bury 'em alive. Good-bye, Bill.

Bill: Stephanie, come on now. Deep down inside, you know you'd miss me if I was gone.

Stephanie: (Chuckles)

Bill: You know, I think it's important that you and your family understand something about me. I view business-- in fact, I view life-- as a no-holds-barred cage fight, one in which the winner isn't declared until one contestant quits or dies. Everybody gettin' the picture? We're just getting started.

Donna: (Laughs)

Eric: (Applauds)

Felicia: Nice work, mother. I take back everything I said.

Eric: (Chuckles)

Stephanie: You'd better. (Chuckles)

Eric: (Speaking indistinctly)

Thorne: (Sighs)

(Elevator bell dings)

Donna: The good guys won.

Bill: This isn't over.

Donna: I think it is.

Bill: I'm not giving up on Forrester or you. We'll be talking, pussycat.

Donna: Don't hold your breath.

Bill: You know where to find me.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: Hey, I didn't mean to come home and go on about all this stuff about Rick and Steffy, especially when it's all just water over the dam.

Brooke: Well, it's true. What Rick said on that tape was unconscionable. And I believe he knows that now.

Ridge: Well, you may be the only one that does. Logan, I do love you. And I can only imagine what stratosphere we'd be on if we didn't have to think about all this stuff with Rick and all the--

Brooke: Shh. Enough of that.

Eric: Words cannot express how impressed I am with what you just did.

Stephanie: (Chuckles) Well, we may have our differences, but I certainly wasn't going to leave you out there swinging on a limb.

Eric: You are the most complicated, frustrating, fascinating woman I have ever met.

Stephanie: Oh, Eric, and you are still a louse, a cheat and a philanderer.

Eric: And I still love you, too.

Eric: Come back to me.

Jarrett: How'd it go, boss? Are you the proud new owner of Forrester Creations?

Bill: Not quite yet, Jarrett. I assume you're happy to hear that.

Jarrett: Well, it has always been a family-owned business.

Bill: Well, not for long. I may have lost the battle, but I will win the war. Forrester Creations will be mine. Mine.

Rick: I'm sorry if we're interrupting.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: What's going on here?

Rick: We would like to talk to you both, um, but especially you, Ridge.

Ridge: There's nothing to talk about.

Steffy: Yes, there is, Dad.

Ridge: What the hell are you up to now?

Rick: Nothing. I'm just here to state my case.

Ridge: What case?

Rick: The case for Steffy and I getting back together again.

Ridge: No. No! No!

Steffy: Dad, will you just please let him finish, please?

Ridge: He's already finished. This is not gonna happen. Under no circumstance will I allow this.

Steffy: Look, Dad, we have done what you've asked. We've kept apart, and we're miserable. He has changed in the last few weeks.

Ridge: I'm sure he'd love you to believe that.

Rick: I don't expect her to believe that any more than I expect you to believe that. But the fact of the matter is, I have been working hard on myself. I am changing. And I just want a chance, Ridge, an opportunity to prove to you that I have changed, that I am not the man that you recorded that day.

Ridge: How many times do I have to tell you to stay away from Steffy? This is not gonna happen. This discussion is over.

Rick: Mom, do you have anything to say about this? Anything at all?

Ridge: Tell him, Brooke. Tell him this is not acceptable. Logan?

Brooke: (Sighs) Ridge, I hear what everybody's saying, but--

Ridge: Brooke, I don't want your son anywhere near my daughter. I can't go through another round of this.

Brooke: (Sighs) I know. I realize that.

Ridge: Then tell them it's not gonna happen. We'll get a restraining order if we have to.

Rick: What?

Steffy: A restraining order?

Brooke: Ridge, I don't think that's necessary.

Ridge: Then tell your son he can't do this. I need you to do this, Brooke. I need to hear you say the words. Tell him that you forbid it, that you absolutely and totally forbid it. Tell them! Tell them.
