Ridge: (Sighs)

Taylor: Ridge, I know this is making you feel badly, and I'm not-- I'm not trying to do that.

Ridge: Doc, I just really can't talk about this.

Taylor: You have to. You have to.

Ridge: (Sighs)

Taylor: Okay. Look, I'm sorry. I'm not trying to push you. I just-- I don't like seeing you in this state. I don’t. I mean... (sighs) you know, we were both much happier when we were together. I'm just saying that all of these problems could just go away if you were with me instead of Brooke.

Brooke: Make no mistake. The contribution of the Logans is the main reason why Forrester is one of the leaders in the fashion world today.

Stephanie: (Chuckles) She put her foot in her mouth this time.

Rick: No, she's just defending our family and telling the truth. You and your children don't dominate this company anymore.

Thomas: Grandpa, quick you have to--

Rick: Thomas. Come to tattle on my mother, have you?

Stephanie: Hi, Tom.

Thomas: Did you see this?

Stephanie: I certainly did.

Thomas: They want to take over.

Rick: Look around, squirt. We already have.

Brooke: (Sighs) That went well.

Bill: You certainly looked good.

Brooke: (Chuckles) Thank you... (sighs) for giving me a chance to respond to Stephanie’s attacks, although I'm not quite sure why you did that. It's only going to hurt your attempt to devalue our company.

Bill: Only if what you said has the affect you expect.

Brooke: You don't think it will?

Bill: A good businessman's prepared for anything.

Brooke: Are you prepared to lose? Because there's no way you're going to get your hands on Forrester Creations.

Bill: Let's just wait and see. You never know how things will play out.

Jack: (Coos)

Bridget: Jack. Oo (chuckles) Do you want your dad?

Nick: Whoa, look at the two of you.

Bridget: Oh! Whoo! Yes.

Nick: It's like you never missed a week.

Bridget: You want another-- I know. Okay, maybe like, two weeks.

Jack: (Coos)

Nick: Hey, buddy.  I know. What's up there? Hey.

Bridget: Ready? Here we go. Did your mom seriously never tell you?

Nick: Tell me what?

Jack: (Coos)

Bridget: Really? Well, I--

Nick: All right, me here.

Bridget: I missed him a lot.

Nick: Yeah.

Bridget: And there were a couple of times I couldn't stand it...

Nick: Come here.

Bridget: So your mom was an angel and would bring him to see me. I told her not to tell you. I didn't want you to be upset. And I never wanted to make it a big deal.

Jack: (Coos)

Nick: Well, it is a big deal, 'cause there's one thing that you could never forget or leave...

Jack: (Coos)

Nick: And that's him.

Taylor: Brooke is always going to put her son in front of you. And Rick knows that, and he loves holding that over you. This is always going to be a problem. It is never going to stop. You know, I'm not saying that Brooke doesn't love you, or she doesn't want to make you happy. It’s just that she can’t. You two have grown into two different kinds of people. And when you and I were together, we stayed happy because we grew together. We grew with our children and with our family.

Ridge: Those were great times.

Taylor: When was the last time you were truly happy about everything? You know why I can ask you these questions? Because I'm not afraid of the answers. But I think you are. That's why you haven't said anything to Brooke about the marriage not being valid. Because you know when you do, it's gonna turn your life upside down.

(Cell phone vibrates)

Ridge: I'm sorry. Forrester.

Stephanie: Are you still with Taylor?

Ridge: Yeah.

Stephanie: Then I think you should come back here to the office right away. Brooke's just done a webcast and I think you should see it.

Bill: Over a thousand hits since Brooke’s interview. What do you know? Look at these comments. "Good for you, Brooke. Tell Stephanie what for." "How dare you claim Forrester for the Logans." (Laughs) Oh, baby.

Thomas: The Forresters built this business. Your family just married into it.

Rick: Whoa, whoa. You're gonna make this about blood, Thomas? You're a Forrester in name alone, pal. I am Eric's son.

Thomas: Oh, he just must be so proud after all the stuff you've pulled.

Rick: If it weren't for me, you would be in jail right now for attempted murder.

Stephanie: Oh, stop it, both of you. Especially you, Rick. Knock it off.

Rick: Would you tell this felon to get the hell off his soapbox, please?

Stephanie: "Felon"? No one is dead because of him.

Thomas: No one will ever forget what you did to my sisters, just like no one will ever forgive your family for what they did to this company. Logans don't run this business. Your family's a joke.

Ridge: Hey! Hey! Don't you even think about hitting him.

Nick: Finally. (Chuckles) Jack doesn't nap for long.

Bridget: Oh. Um, w-wait. Wait. No, wait. Not so fast, sailor. I thought we could talk.

Nick: All right.

Bridget: Well, you know.

Nick: All right. Yeah, yeah. Let's--yeah, let's talk.

Bridget: Okay. You used to be good at that.

Nick: Yeah, well, I used to be good at a lot of things.

Bridget: Well, I would say that-- that you still are. (Chuckles) Oh, I think this is Jack's.

Nick: Um, technically, it's not.

Bridget: Oh. Oh.

Nick: But it is now.

Bridget: Good.

Nick: Have we talked enough?

Bridget: Right. Yeah.

Nick: Okay.

Taylor: Did Rick threaten you Thomas?

Rick: My family is the one being threatened here.

Thomas: Your mom is taking credit for everything my family ever did.

Ridge: This is about Brooke?

Stephanie: She just did an "Eye on Fashion" webcast.

Thomas: Made it sound like the Logans are running the business.

Rick: Just calling it like it is.

Thomas: Like the Forresters don't matter, Dad.

Rick: Stephanie attacked my mother in those stupid "Logan Chronicles."

Brooke: What's going on?

Stephanie: Oh, come in, Brooke. We're just about to watch your handiwork.

Brooke: Rick?

Ridge: You did some kind of interview?

Brooke: I was defending my family.

Taylor: What did you say?

Brooke: I wanted Stephanie’s audience to know that there's more to the story.

Ridge: Brooke, I ought we agreed to leave this alone.

Rick: That would be just like you, wouldn't it?

Brooke: (Sighs) Ridge, I showed your mother a lot more respect than she showed me.

Stephanie: Oh, I'm sorry. Did I hurt your feelings? Gosh. But you certainly had a hell of a lot to say about the Logans. I think you should watch this.

Rick: My mother stuck her neck out for this company. Bill Spencer is using those "Logan Chronicles" to devalue our business, and you are helping him, Stephanie. And you, Ridge, are not doing a damn thing about it. What kind of leadership is that? My mom had no choice. She had to speak up.

Stephanie: Well, why don't we just let Ridge judge for himself? Go ahead, honey. Look.

Brooke: This is a Logan company run by the Logan women and my son, and that is how it will remain. It will not fail. Under our leadership, Forrester Creations will rise to greater heights than ever before.

Thomas: Dad, is this company ours or not?

Ridge: Of course, it is.

Brooke: (Sighs) I didn't say it wasn't.

Taylor: It sounded that way to me.

Thomas: Who's in charge here, Dad? Did you know she was doing this interview?

Brooke: Look, it s a spur-of-the-moment decision. I went over there to confront Bill Spencer about Stephanie’s articles, and he gave me the opportunity to respond to her attacks. Really, that's all it was, Thomas. I wasn't trying to shut you out or anything like that. It's just that I was very angry with Stephanie about commenting on my son or Donna, you know, saying the things she did about my family.

Taylor: No, you were thinking out yourself. You didn't for one minute consider how this would affect Thomas, my children, Stephanie’s children, Ridge's children for that matter.

Stephanie: Well, no surprise there.

Ridge: All right, that's enough. Look, Brooke and I need to discuss this alone now.

Stephanie: Okay, Tom, let's go. Let your father handle this.

Ridge: Doc.

(Door closes)

Taylor: This is a pattern.

Brooke: Taylor, this has nothing to do with you. Please.

Taylor: You just announced to the entire world that my children have no place in this company, like none of their contributions mean anything.

Brooke: I was responding to Stephanie’s lies about my family.

Taylor: Oh, okay. Well, then where does your family with Ridge fit into this? Really, how-- how does that factor into all of this? Is this really how you reward this man he--for all of his patience and all of his understanding? Everybody knows that you will always put your family a-ahead of everything else. (Sighs) You know what? The way you treat Ridge is absolutely-- it's insulting. Do you really think that this is the only option he's got in his life? Ridge has a lot of other options. He also has a family with me, and I never tread him like this. Ridge deserves much better than this, and he knows where to come find it.

Bridget: Mm. Basketball. So basketball. That was your thing with Katie, right? Right.

Nick: Um--

Bridget: You know, it's okay. We don't need to pretend like it didn't happen. It's...

Nick: Well, if it makes you feel better, I can give up hoops.

Bridget: Really?

Nick: If it makes you feel better.

Bridget: You would do that for me?

Nick: For you, no sacrifice is too great.

Bridget: Wow.

Nick: Yeah.

Bridget: You are going to so eat those words, starting right now. (Chuckles)

Stephanie: Outraged? Oh, how wonderful. (Chuckles) How many hits? No, no, Pam, that's okay. I'm--I'm going to the web site--I'm gonna go to the web site right now and watch. Thanks, sweetheart. I'll talk to you later.

Taylor: Stephanie. Stephanie, listen. You've gotta do something. I don't care what you do. You need to talk to Bill Spencer. You need to get on the web site, and you need to respond to all of that stuff that--that Brooke just said.

Stephanie: It's okay. She's put her foot in her mouth royally. She's teetering, and Eric is teetering... (laughs) right on the edge next to her. Honey, I think that we're one step closer to getting control of the company, and I think that you and Ridge are one step closer to being together.

Brooke: Your mother's accusations had to be addressed for family and for the company.

Ridge: Brooke, you don't make decisions for the company on the spur of the moment.

Brooke: Like I said, I saw an opportunity.

Ridge: No, you did exactly what Bill and my mother wanted you to do. You turned her bitter rant into a tug-of-war. You gave that web site more publicity than they could possibly buy.

Brooke: Rick thought that somebody should do something to defend the Logans.

Ridge: Yeah, Rick, Rick, Rick. It has to be Rick. If he thought a statement should be made, why didn't he do it himself? I'll tell you why. Because he's using you to cause problems between us...

Brooke: Ridge...

Ridge: Again.

Brooke: Please. Don't make this about my son. If you disagree with what I did, then just tell me.

Ridge: Brooke, you did what you've been doing for months. God, I keep thinking we're back on the same page, but I can't help this feeling that there are three people in our relationship.

Brooke: If there is a third person in this relationship, it's not Rick. It's Taylor.

Nick: Ok, let the sacrifice begin.

Bridget: Really?

Nick: Uh-huh.

Bridget: All right, well, first and fore most uh, those little cigars of yours-- gotta go.

Nick: Really?

Bridget: You'll live longer and spare Jack a lifetime of asthma.

Nick: But I love my cigars.

Bridget: But you said anything.

Nick: Well, I was hoping for something a little more interesting and maybe naughty.

Bridget: Oh, really? Hmm. In the trash.

Bridget: Thank you.

Nick: I have a request of my own.

Bridget: Okay.

Nick: You know that little lab coat you got, the white one? Why don't we put that on and play a little doctor? Or how about that, um, at Madame X wig? That whole getup. Now that'll work for me.

Bridget: Sorry, pal. They took the night off. (Clicks tongue) I think they're holding out on you.

Nick: What are you talking about--"holding out"?

Bridget: I don't know. Maybe it's one of your sacrifices.

Nick: You know, this isn't sacrifice--no, no, no. This is--see, this is more torture now. This is more like a game, and you know what? Two can play at that game.

Bridget: No, don't! Don't! Don't! Please don't tickle me.

Nick: Two can torture and two can sacrifice. How about hat? That spot.

Bridget: Don't--no--

Nick: I remember that spot. Remember that spot?

Bridget: Please stop—

Taylor: Ridge can't even bring himself to--to tell Brooke that they're not even married.

Stephanie: Well, that's a good thing.

Taylor: I guess, yeah, in a lot of ways, but... (sighs) it doesn't mean he's going to leave her.

Stephanie: Oh, honey, god help men. They just have a terrible time making decisions.

Taylor: Yeah. He was already overwhelmed, and then you threw that offer at him.

Stephanie: Is he considering it?

Taylor: Stephanie, this goes way beyond just getting the company back. You know, if--if Ridge is going to leave Brooke, I would rather him do it because he's tired of what he's dealing with with her.

Stephanie: (Sighs)

Taylor: He's not happy and would rather be with me.

Stephanie: Taylor, he belongs with you, and I don't care how it happens. Honey, you know what the problem is? It's very difficult for him to admit he's made a terrible mistake. But each day that he hides the truth from her about their marriage, and each day that she chooses Rick over him, the gap grows wider.

Brooke: So what was Taylor doing here anyway? Did she follow Stephanie over here so they could put their little spin on my webcast?

Ridge: Taylor is not the issue here.

Brooke: And neither is Rick. It's Stephanie and her vendetta. I took care of that.

Ridge: You think it's over? Come on, Logan. This situation is hurting everyone. Your putting that spin on it just made it worse. Look at Rick and Thomas, the way they got into it with each other.

Brooke: I know. I know, and I don't feel good about that, but Stephanie was saying despicable things about my family, and I had to do something. I never meant to disrespect your children. I wouldn't do that. I know how much you love them. And I also understand that you and Taylor have a strong bond because of the tragedy that you experienced.

Ridge: Well maybe I, uh, overreacted.

Brooke: Well, everybody’s stressed out. And Stephanie making her attacks on the family just has everybody scrambling.

Ridge: (Sighs)

Brooke: But we shouldn't let it affect our marriage and the commitment that we have for each other.

Brooke: What? Did I say something?

Ridge: No. No. I, uh... I agree with you.

Brooke: Okay. But something seems to be bothering you. What is it? We're supposed to be able to be open and honest with each other, so tell me.

Ridge: (Sighs)

Brooke: Come on. That's what our marriage is about.

Ridge: Yeah, our marriage.

Brooke: Yeah, our marriage. You know, you, me, us. Together. Sharing things. Come on, Ridge, what? What is it? You can talk to me. What's going on?

Ridge: (Sighs)

Ridge: (Exhales deeply)
