Bridget: Jackie is the woman you were telling me about?
Jackie: Telling her what?
Bridget: Well--well, I-- I mean, I had to admit to him that I was still into Nick, and he told me he was actually hung up on someone else, too.
Nick: Wh-Why is this the first I'm hearing about this?
Jackie: Well, you said that I had to find another interest rather than you.
Nick: Well, couldn't you have taken up knitting or cards, something grandmothers do?
Bill: Want to get comfortable, Katie? Hmm? I'll take that as a yes.
Nick: So you were seeing my mother at the same time you were seeing Bridget.
Owen: Hey, I wasn't engaged to anyone, Nick. I mean, all the secrecy and all the close calls, I kind of just figured that Jackie would get sick of me pretty quickly.
Jackie: Really? I thought it was gonna be the other way around. I did tell you that there was unfinished business between the two of them, didn't I?
Bridget: Well, I'm sorry, Owen.
Nick: Company car, promotion-- nice deal you got.
Jackie: Well, it didn't go to waste, and nobody took anything away from you. And you're the one who keeps letting what they value the most just slip through their fingers. Will you take her home, please? Say what you have to say to her before you do it again.
Donna: Aren't you gonna come to bed?
Eric: No. No, I have some stuff I want to think about. I'll stay down here in the den. I'm too angry to sleep anyway.
Donna: Eric, don't-- don't let him get to you.
Eric: (Scoffs) Yeah. Too late. Bill Spencer got to me. He--he got to me.
Donna: That phone call that, um, that you got when he was here-- it wasn't good news?
Eric: No, you know, it wasn’t. The phone call was to let me know that two of the largest boutiques in New York will not be carrying our fall line.
Bill: (Sighs) (Knocking on door)
Woman: Mr. Spencer?
Bill: Things are lookin' up.
Woman: Excuse me?
Bill: Nothing. What can I do for you?
Woman: The Café Russe bartender saw the woman you were with left this behind.
Bill: Oh, well, she's still here. Thank you.
Woman: Okay. Thank you.
Bill: Katie-- Katie Logan? The little sister. (Chuckles)
Nick: She must be upstairs.
Bridget: Yeah, I'm gonna go. I just--
Nick: No, no.
Nick: Now, Jack's over at Brooke’s tonight. She might be over there, but I'm still gonna check upstairs. You stay here.
(Cell phone rings) (Ring)
Bill: Hi, little barracuda.
Donna: How did you get this number?
Bill: I'm in my penthouse suite at the Bellmore. How soon can you be here?
Donna: Look, this harassment. If you don't think I'm gonna call the police, you're crazy.
Bill: Katie would have called herself if she could have.
Donna: What did you just say?
Bill: Check the caller I.D.
Bill: We'll be expecting you.
Donna: Oh, my God.
Nick: She's not in the house.
Katie's voice: Dear Nick, this is the hardest letter I've ever had to write. When I think back over the past months since I first met you, I ask myself how I can ever thank you for being by my side through the worst and happiest moments of my life. And I know the answer-- by doing for you and for Bridget what the two of you did for me-- giving you your lives back. Thank you for letting me live my dream for a time. Love always, Katie.
Nick: She's not coming back.
Nick: She knows that being married to you is the life that I wanted, and I'd never stop wanting that back.
Eric: Good, and you showed up.
Stephanie: Well, I hope it's not an ambush. Your charming wife has been giving me so many pieces of her mind lately, I shudder to think if she has any left.
Eric: Let's not make this about Donna.
Stephanie: Okay. I'm here because you missed me.
Eric: I might even miss you if you weren't constantly in my face the way you are.
Stephanie: Oh, dear. I had no idea that, uh, having some success on my own terms would upset you so much.
Eric: You can't be that naive.
Stephanie: Eric, if your company is floundering, permit me a very brief "I told you so."
Eric: Your so-called success is allowing Bill Spencer to drive nails into this company's coffin.
Donna: Where is my sister?
Donna: Katie? Oh, my God, Katie. What happened? Katie? What did you do? Did you drug her?
Bill: She tied one on. Ask the bartender upstairs.
Donna: Katie? Honey? Honey, I'm here. I'm here. Are you okay? Are you okay?
Katie: Donna? Where am I?
Bill: Sorry about the rude awakening.
Donna: Katie, look at me. What--what happ--
Katie: Donna, I'm so glad you're here.
Donna: Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
Donna: You bastard. You got her drunk and dragged her to your bed.
Katie: Oh, we didn't do anything...
Bill: Put a blanket over you, used your phone.
Katie: See? He was a total gentleman. Oh, what a disaster.
Donna: Oh, Katie, I-I don’t understand. This isn't like you.
Katie: Nick and I are over.
Donna: What? No! My God, how? Why?
Katie: I was selfish, and I broke up his marriage, and I can't stand making him miserable for the rest of his life.
Donna: Oh, my God, sweetheart, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Oh, my God.
Katie: (Sobs) Oh! Oh, God!
Donna: Oh God, are you okay?
Katie: Oh. Oh.
Donna: Are-can I-- can I get you something?
Katie: (Groans) (Retching)
Bill: I have a way with women.
Bridget: Wait. Nick, I don't--I-- I don't know that I can do this. I'm gonna be really honest here. I don't know.
Nick: Well, I'll be honest. If I were you, I'd run screaming in the other direction.
Bridget: Look, the love is easy. Love you. I could tell you that every day for the rest of my life.
Nick: Trusting's a little tough, isn't it?
Bridget: Well, yeah. I don't know that I can put this back together again. And wanting to is just not enough.
Nick: But we had it goin' on, didn't we? I had the woman I wanted to be with, the woman I loved. Lost a child, and it, uh, was replaced with a beautiful little boy that we both love. And then I screwed up. (Sighs) Can you forgive me?
Bridget: I have.
Nick: No, you haven't, you see? You really haven’t. Because we wouldn't be standing here having this conversation about you telling me that there's no way back for us, because that's what I'm hearing. That's what I'm hearing you tell me.
Stephanie: You're spending too much time with your wife. I've never known you to be quite so melodramatic.
Eric: You think you’re in the driver's seat with Bill Spencer, but you’re not. You're not, Stephanie. He's using you.
Stephanie: I'm looking at the one and only man who made his fortune on my back.
Eric: You know, hating me, justified or not, is blinding you to what's really happening here.
Stephanie: I don't hate you, Eric.
Eric: We just lost 35% of our Manhattan area retail space, because your orders are boycotting three of our stores. If Bill Spencer has his way, they will blockade those stores all together by the end of the week.
Stephanie: It ain't Bill. I think it's called karma.
Eric: (Sighs) Karma did not offer me $100 million for our company flat out just now. Karma did not warn me at if it wasn't accepted, the next offer would be smaller if you and your "Eye on Fashion" readers have your way, knocking out more of our customers. You know, this internet business of yours, these gossip-filled blogs, you're embarrassing yourself, and Bill Spencer is disenfranchising your children. He's stealing from your grandchild their legacy. Is that the way you really want your success on your terms to be?
Donna: Um, is it okay if she takes a shower?
Bill: That bad, huh?
Donna: Yeah, I, uh, washed her shirt out in the sink. Um, do you have a plastic bag?
Bill: Here you go.
Bill: What's she gonna wear home?
Donna: Mine. I'll just, uh, wear her jacket. Do you think you could turn around? I, you know, got to change.
Bill: Are you kidding me? (Laughs) Your sister comes in here, passes out on my bed, pukes in my bathroom. You blow in all but accusing me of rape, and now you're about to undress and demand that I not look? The hell with that. (Sighs) Any time you're ready.
Donna: Okay, I will change in the bathroom. (Pulling at door)
Bill: Have Katie wear this.
Donna: Thank you. (Sighs)
Bill: Why did you marry Eric?
Donna: Because I love him.
Bill: I love the "Mona Lisa." Ever seen it?
Bill: It's old. So is Eric.
Donna: Why are you doing this-- deliberately being ugly when you're--you're actually doing something nice?
Bill: Am I? Tell me. I'll stop.
Donna: Taking care of my sister.
Bill: Oh, that.
Donna: I mean, she means the world to me, and I-- (Sighs) I-I just want to thank you for taking care of her and--and calling me.
Donna: O-okay what? (Cackles)
Bill: You said you wanted to thank me. So do.
Bridget: (Sighs) I don't know that I can get there from here. I-I don't know.
Nick: I'm so sorry. I'm sorry I broke that thing inside of you called hope. And I am so sorry that I hurt you so badly. But I know what I'm going to do. I am gonna be the man that I promised you that I'm gonna be, the man that I can be. And I'm gonna raise my son, and I'm going to be an example for him, and I'm gonna show you that I can be true and that I can be faithful, because I can.
Bridget: Oh, Nick. Nick--
Nick: Bridget, I know. I know that you want to believe that, because I know deep down you know that no one loves you the way I do, and you know no one gets you the way that I get you.
Nick: Tell me you know.
Bridget: I should run right now. (Sniffles) You know, it's not-- it's not gonna come back all at once.
Nick: I know. I-I understand. I know that.
Bridget: And there's gonna be days where I'm going to need proof.
Nick: And that's all right. That's all right. Everything's all right. I will do whatever it takes. I will give you whatever you need.
Bridget: Just being faithful will put me back home again.
Nick: (Sighs) You already are home.
Bridget: (Whispering) Don't break my heart again.
