Rick: Oh, my God.
Man: Be advised. Person on the runway.
Taylor: Ridge, stop!
Man: Throttle down immediately!
Rick: Come on. Take off.
Ridge: Stop! Steffy!
Jackie: Now you're absolutely positive that you don't want to stay in? I mean, we could get back into bed.
Owen: Well, that is exactly what we are gonna do...
Owen: Just as soon as we go out, and we get something to eat.
Jackie: We could always order in, you know.
Owen: Look, I know you want to keep whatever this is going on between the two of us private. I mean, so do I. But, come on. We can go out in public together. We work together. And besides, the night is young, and you are gonna need some food to keep your energy up.
Jackie: Oh, fine. We'll go out. But just be safe, can we take some work with us?
Owen: Absolutely. Yes! Some business, right?
Jackie: Lots of it.
Owen: Lots? Okay, lots of business.
Owen: Lots of business.
Bridget: Owen. What are you doing here?
Man: 1-8-alpha, report to A.V.O.
(Engines power down)
Rick: Damn it!
Steffy: Hey, what the heck is going on?
Rick: Hey, Steffy, come here. Sit down for a second. Listen to me. No matter what happens, okay, don't let anyone get into your head and--and tell you things that aren't true. We're gonna get married, okay? Just you and me together, and nothing's gonna stand in our way, all right?
Rick: (Breathing heavily) Uh--
Alan: Sir, I'm very sorry. I was in a very uncomfortable situation.
Steffy: Dad? Mom? What are you doing here? Oh, my God. Can someone please tell me what this is all about?
Alan: Excuse me, folks.
Ridge: Steffy, just go with your mom.
Steffy: I'm not going anywhere.
Ridge: Steffy, go now. I need to talk to Rick alone.
Ridge: Now. Now!
Taylor: Steffy, we're going outside for a minute. Come on.
Rick: Wait. Wait. Wait. Steffy, whatever is said, believe in me. Please.
Rick: (Laughs) (Inhales sharply) Oh, Daddy dearest. The hero of the hour. Pretty risky chasing a jet down the runway, don't you think?
Ridge: Steffy's gonna hear every sick word you said. Your days of manipulating my daughter are done.
Bridget: You and Owen? I--
Bridget: Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I-- well, look at the two of you. Hard at work. I mean, at this hour.
Owen: Yeah, I-- (Laughs) just working. That's what we're doing is working.
Bridget: Wow. Well, you are two of the most passionate people I know. (Laughs)
Bridget: I mean, even though the show was, you know, such a triumph, you're not resting on your laurels. I have to tell you, I'm impressed.
Jackie: (Chuckles) We are quite passionate.
Owen: Yes, uh, we're just strictly dedicated to work right now.
Bridget: I see. Well, Jackie, didn't I tell you that Owen was the right man for the job?
Jackie: Oh, yes. Yes, you most certainly did. He's a-a very hard worker. Certainly made an impression on me.
Rick: Done, Ridge? No, I don't think so. Steffy and I are just getting started.
Ridge: Wait until she hears that tape.
Rick: What, do you mean that pathetic recording you made? Pretty amateur move on your part, don't you think?
Ridge: What do you think she's gonna think when she, uh, really gets an idea of what you're really made of?
Rick: Personally, I don't think Steffy's going to listen to that garbage, 'cause she knows your favorite pastime is jerking my chain. She's not gonna give a damn about that tape.
Ridge: Do you even remember what you said? How arrogant and disrespectful you were?
Rick: Mm, Ridge, I'm shaking in my boots.
Ridge: What do you think a strong, independent woman like Steffy's gonna think when she hears you talk about her like, "I own her"?
Rick: I never said that.
Ridge: You did. I have it on a record. You've got a big mouth, Rick. You've got an even bigger ego, and it's about to get you into a whole lot of trouble when Steffy understands, finally, your so-called "love."
Steffy: So when are you gonna tell me what this is all about? And what is with the laptop?
Taylor: It concerns Rick.
Steffy: Well, of course it does, because that's all we ever talk about-- how horrible Rick is.
Taylor: If you could hear the things he said, the way he talks to your father, the way he talks about you--
Steffy: Mom, why can't you just accept my relationship with Rick? Why can't you just give him one chance? Just a single chance? A chance? Because he's wonderful to me, and he treats me with respect.
Taylor: No, he doesnít. Your father recorded a conversation that he had with Rick.
Steffy: What? Wh-why would he do that?
Taylor: We both felt that it would be the only way for you to understand how Rick really is when you're not around.
Steffy: Oh, my God. This is ridiculous.
Rick: Steffy is not your little girl anymore. I own her.
Rick: Do you hear what I'm saying to you, Ridge? I own her. And there's not a damn thing you can do to change that.
Steffy: (Scoffs) Mom, come on. This is just stupid guy talk.
Taylor: Wait. Wait. Listen.
Rick: Ridge, can you believe this? The irony in this situation? That--that Steffy has fallen madly in love with me of all people? And you hate me more than anybody else in this entire world, and I have Steffy eating out of my hands. And if you keep fighting us, if you make us miserable, I will take her the hell away from here, and you will never see her again.
Steffy: Mom, he didn't even mean that about taking me away. He just wanted to get Dad to back off, chill.
Taylor: Maybe. Maybe not, but don't you find this a little bit odd? Why would somebody want to just drag you off in the middle of the afternoon and go get on a plane? Why? Wh-why jump on a jet and just go somewhere? Please, just listen. Please listen to the rest of this.
Steffy: Mom, I really don't want--
Rick: You know, Ridge, I want to talk to you about something. See, I'm not-- I'm not really happy with the way you treat the president of this company. Like, when I walk into a room, I don't want you to say, "Oh, hey, little Ricky boy. How are you?" No, I want you to act like the president just walked into the room, 'cause you're gonna treat me with respect. When I'm married to Steffy, I'm gonna be able to make her something that you've never been able to-- a real Forrester, something that you have been pretending to be
your entire life. Isn't that right, Marone?
Steffy: So what? I can't believe Dad was that sneaky to record him, Mom.
Taylor: We wanted you to know what kind of man it is that you're planning to marry.
Taylor: Now, please, just let me play some more.
Rick: You want to punch me, don't you?
Rick: Go ahead. Hit me. Hit me! What's wrong? You chicken?
Rick: (Clucking) come on, Ridge, what's the matter with you? What, are you getting a little green in the gills? You coming down with something? You better not be. You need all the strength that you can get, 'cause you've got to be able to walk your little daughter down the aisle on our wedding day. We're gonna be one, big, happy family. You know, I can't wait to put that ring on Steffy's finger, because then we can go off to the honeymoon, and that night is gonna be the greatest night of Steffy's life... Dad.
Taylor: Do you hear how disrespectful he talks to your father? How he talks about you? He's using you, sweetheart. This is about revenge. It is not about love.
Steffy: Mom, stop saying that.
Taylor: No, you need to hear it.
Steffy: No. No, I donít.
Rick: My marriage to Steffy-- it's not about two people in love. It's about revenge. It's about revenge for the years of pain that you have inflicted upon my mother and me. So when I'm saying my vows in your little destiny-westiny spot on the beach, I'm not even gonna be looking at my bride. I'm gonna be looking at you, poncho, and the pain etched in your face as you say "bye-bye" to another daughter.
Bridget: My goodness, Jackie, this place is gorgeous. The views are incredible. (Gasps) The tub-- the tub--nice touch.
Owen: Isn't it?
Bridget: Oh, my gosh, I almost forgot. I-I brought you something.
Jackie: Oh, how thoughtful. You shouldn't have.
Bridget: No, it's just a little-- little token of my appreciation for the opportunity you've given me at Jackie M. It--it means a lot to me.
Jackie: No, I'm the one that should be thanking you, especially after the showing today. (Gasps) Oh, that is darling. My little grandson. Thank you, sweetheart.
Bridget: Well, you've been so, so supportive, especially since the last breakup between Nick and me. I don't think I could have gotten through it without you. I feel really, really blessed that you're in my life.
Jackie: Bridget, really, the pleasure is all mine. I'm so honored to call you a friend. And isn't it great that we're spending all this time together now that you're part of my company?
Bridget: It's changed my life. I mean, you really have no idea. Oh, well. I'm gonna head out.
Bridget: See you in the morning, bright and early. Oh, Owen, you were leaving when I got here. Do you want to go grab dinner?
Owen: Uh, yeah. I mean, well, I--actually, I canít. I've got, uh, I got a ton more work that I've got to do for Jackie.
Jackie: No, Owen, we've actually accomplished rather a lot this evening.
Jackie: You--you really-- you should go. You were just saying how famished you were.
Owen: You know, I-- sure then. Why not? Let's, uh, let's go.
Bridget: Great. Well, um, I just need to go get my sketchbook back at the office, and, um, and that's it.
Owen: Okay, cool. Then you just go ahead and grab that, and I'm gonna finish this work up real quick, and I'll--I'll see you in a few.
Owen: All right. What was that? Why are you encouraging me to go out to dinner with Bridget?
Steffy: I can't believe it.
Taylor: Oh, I'm so sorry, sweetheart. He isn't who you thought he was.
Steffy: I just don't know what to think.
Taylor: You do not want to marry a man who talks about you this way, who uses your love as a weapon against your father. This is not a good person. This is not who you want to spend your life with.
Rick: You think you can screw me over by letting Steffy hear what I said?
Ridge: I'm finally gonna expose you for the snake you are.
Rick: You're calling me a snake? Ridge, you set me up. What do you think my mom's gonna say about this-- you teaming up with Taylor to bring me down? You can kiss your marriage good-bye, moron.
Ridge: (Laughs) Oh, no, no, no. Your mom and I are gonna be absolutely fine.
Rick: Really? You think my mom's gonna let this one slide-- you ruining my relationship with someone my mom thinks is wonderful? That's right. My mother is a fan of Steffy and me. And you told my mom you would work things out with me. You lied.
Ridge: I never promised to accept you marrying my daughter.
Rick: Oh, my mom's not gonna see it that way, Ridge. (Cell phone rings)
Rick: Hey, where are you?
Steffy: Uh, my momís. Look, I want to see you.
Rick: Yes. Yes, of course. Right away. That was Steffy. She wants to see me. That means you failed. Just gonna have to face it, Ridge. Steffy's riding the Rick train, and she ain't ever getting off. Choo-choo! (Imitates train chugging) Choo-choo! (Imitates train chugging)
Owen: I mean, I still don't get it, Jackie. Why are you encouraging me to go out on a date with Bridget?
Jackie: It's not a date. It's dinner. What's the big deal? And you like Bridget.
Owen: Well, yeah. Yeah, I do. And, I mean, I've asked her out more than once, and all she does is just keep on shutting me down.
Jackie: Oh, you know why that is. She's still in love with Nicky.
Owen: Okay. (Knocking on door)
Jackie: Hello, Bridget. Owen was just saying how he's looking forward to having dinner with you.
Bridget: Oh, thank goodness, 'cause I'm starving. Are you ready?
Owen: Absolutely. Let's go.
Jackie: Have a fabulous time.
Bridget: Oh, thank you. I will see you tomorrow. (Door closes)
Jackie: What a stunning specimen of masculinity you are, Owen.
Jackie: Maybe just enough to get Nicky jealous and get him away from that black widow and back with Bridget where he belongs.
Taylor: What are you gonna do, sweetheart?
Steffy: I'll handle it, Mom. It's okay. (Door opens)
Rick: Hey. Could I, uh, could I have a moment with my fiancťe alone, please?
Ridge: We're not going anywhere.
Steffy: Dad, it's okay.
Steffy: I want to speak with Rick alone.
Taylor: Steffy, no.
Steffy: Mom, please. Please.
Steffy: I get it now, why you were so anxious to whisk me away.
Rick: Steffy, please. I just--I wanted to--
Steffy: You knew, didn't you, about the recording?
Rick: Yea I did. I figured it out-- that your dad set me up to push my buttons.
Steffy: (Laughs) That is so like you, Rick. It's always someone else's fault.
Rick: (Sighs) I don't know what to say.
Steffy: Well, you better think of something.
Steffy: Because you have a lot to explain.
Rick: You know, Steffy, I-I don't even remember what I said, okay? I donít. Your--your father was cornering me. He was provoking me to say things that I--
Steffy: Those were your words, Rick. It was your voice.
Rick: You know how your father gets to me. (Sighs) Wait. No. St--Steffy, just wait a second, all right? You're very confused right now. You heard some things that-- that--that don't make a lot of sense to you, and you're hurt. But they were words, Steffy. They were words. I didn't mean any of it. I was stupid. And I'm sorry. I am so sorry. Now listen, don't question how I feel about you, because you know. You know. And don't let your parents come between us. Not now. Please look at me. Please.
Rick: I would never do anything to hurt you. You know that. Please believe me.
