Woman: Let's do it.
Woman: Do it now. I like it.
Woman: Yeah, I like it, too.
Woman: Do you need some help?
Woman: I love this, but it's a size 10. It's is gonna be too big.
Jackie: Nicky, the gowns-- they're being finished as we speak. It's terrific, honey, and amazing really, considering what, we've only had 24 hours to complete the line. Oh!
Nick: From designs that aren't even ours. This whole thing stinks.
Jackie: (Sighs) Someone at Forrester e-mailed us those designs. Think of it as a gift from above.
Nick: Or a gift from below, Mother. Even if we pull this thing off, we are handing over the presidency of our company to some Benedict Arnold at Forrester, someone we don't even know.
Jackie: You know what? I don't even care, because whoever he is saving us from complete disaster.
Nick: Or causing us to make a decision we'll regret the rest of our lives. And there will be a price to pay when Eric sees his designs on our runway.
Katie: Hi! Surprise!
Katie: Hi--mm. Mm!
Nick: Mm. (Whispers) I love you. I love you.
Katie: Mm. (Laughs)
Felicia: I think it's fine, Daddy.
Eric: You can't rush a masterpiece.
Felicia: It's a dress.
Eric: Stephanie, any thoughts?
Stephanie: Oh, you want my opinion?
Eric: Yes, your opinion is very important to me, always has been.
Stephanie: Well, it's beautiful.
Eric: Good. We'll send it downstairs for some final alterations and, uh, it'll be ready for the showing in a couple of days.
Felicia: Don't you think you're going a little overboard with this whole secrecy thing?
Eric: No. No. Absolutely not. There--there can be no leaks. In fact, how's that going? You're encrypting everything, right?
Thorne: It's taken care of, Dad. Only those with the access codes can open the file with the designs.
Eric: All right, then, uh, will you do me a favor? Will you take this downstairs for me, Felicia?
Felicia: I'm not your gopher.
Eric: Is there anything I can do to put a smile on that face?
Felicia: No. Well, you could divorce Donna.
Brooke: Oh, my God. This isn't time for infighting. Whether you're a Logan or you're a Forrester, we need to pull together!
Felicia: Easy to say if you're a Logan.
Eric: Look, Logan or Forrester, this is a team effort. It has to be. This has to be a team.
Felicia: Then take me off the bench, coach.
Eric: All right, fine. Will you take this downstairs for me?
Rick: I'll tell you what, Dad. I'll just do it myself, all right?
Eric: Yeah. Good. Thank you.
Woman: Let's look at it.
Katie: I know you're crazy busy, but I just-- I can't stop thinking about you.
Nick: Well, don't worry about me. I'll--I'm fine.
Katie: Now how can I not be worried? This is a life-changing day. I mean, this is about Jackie M.'s future and our future. It's so important, and I want to be a part of it.
Nick: Well, I appreciate that, honey, but I think I've got things on track now. Like my mother says, "All is fair in love and war and fashion." Besides, you work at Forrester, so maybe you shouldn't be here today, okay, dear?
Katie: You're my fiancÚ, and they understand that. You know, I've been thinking. I don't think I should work at Forrester anymore. I think I should resign and come here and help you out.
Nick: Well, we can talk about that at home, and I'll tell you all about my day, but just remember, it's a crazy business, and crazy things happen, okay?
Clarke: All the gowns hot off the sewing machine.
Nick: Not now, Clarke. Thank you very much. Not now.
Katie: Oh, I would--
Clarke: Oh, hi, Katie.
Katie: Hi! I would love to see what you've got in there--
Nick: Sweetie, we're very busy today if you don't mind.
Katie: Well, baby, I really want to be here. This is so important, and I want to be here to cheer you on.
Nick: You can't be here right now!
Woman: Absolutely a 6.
Jackie: No, go with the big ones. (Laughs) When in doubt, I'd go with the big one.
Clarke: (Clears throat) We've got trouble.
Jackie: Katie? I know. I-I-I saw her come in.
Clarke: Yeah. It's really dangerous for her to be around here. She can't have the slightest idea of what we're up to.
Jackie: Poor girl. Little does she know that she's walked into a minefield.
Clarke: Which is about to explode with Forrester designs. We've got to get this show on the road. We have to debut that line as ours before anyone at Forrester suspects what's up.
Nick: I'm sorry. I'm just a little bit on edge.
Katie: No, that's--that's okay. I understand. You're obviously more stressed out than what you're letting on, and that's okay. I get it. It's okay to be worried. I just want you to know I'm proud of you for the way you're pulling yourself together and you're fighting back. It just shows what kind of man you are.
Nick: Just know that what I'm doing is because of you and my mother and Jack-- my family. Know that.
Katie: I know. Are you sure you don't want me to stay and help? I mean, I can wield a steamer like nobody's business.
Nick: No, no, no. No. I appreciate that.
Katie: Okay. I'll just keep my fingers crossed then.
Nick: You might want to cross those toes, too.
Katie: Toes are crossed.
Katie: I love you. I just want what's best for you, even though you are my competition. Good luck, Captain.
Nick: Thank you, sailor.
Nick: I love you, too. Don't forget that.
Woman: Okay. Well, take this one. Okay.
Katie: I'll see you at home.
Eric: You always know what to say, exactly the right thing to, uh, pull everyone together.
Brooke: I am a Logan and a Forrester.
Eric: Yeah, so you are, and you're the best of both worlds.
Brooke: You know as well as I do how difficult it is to be in the middle.
Eric: (Clears throat)
Brooke: But if there were ever a time for this company and this family to be united, it would be now.
Eric: Mm-hmm. I have to believe everybody wants the same thing, and that's for this company to succeed, and I just--I just wish that my kids were happier.
Brooke: Rick is. I'm just glad we didn't send him off to Europe.
Eric: So am I. It would have been a big mistake. He's doing a good job as president, you know?
Brooke: Mm-hmm, although it's really difficult for ridge to have him around.
Eric: Well, Rick is a constant reminder of Phoebe's death, so there's still a lot of tension there, but R-Ridge has agreed to work with him. And eventually, I think their relationship will heal.
Steffy: Oh, I wish it didn't have to be like this-- God--hiding what we feel for each other.
Rick: I know. I talked to your dad yesterday.
Steffy: You did?
Rick: Mm-hmm. I asked him if there was any chance that he would ever be able to accept me.
Steffy: Well, then what did he say?
Rick: He said there was no way in hell that was ever going to happen. (Laughs) and that he is doing everything in his power to just tolerate my existence. (Laughs) look, I tried to reach out to him. I don't want to keep our relationship a secret forever.
Steffy: Yeah, but my dad's not willing to forgive you.
Rick: No. I don't think he ever will.
Brooke: Katie, what--what are you doing? I thought you went to the Jackie M. preview.
Katie: Oh, Nick doesn't want me there.
Brooke: Why not?
Katie: Clarke Garrison is designing the collection, and I think Nick is afraid that the debut is going to be a bomb. He can't afford that. You have no idea how much is riding on this.
Clarke: Now this would make a great opener. I think we should put it at the top.
Jackie: Yeah. Sounds good.
Jackie: Nicky, where's Katie?
Nick: She's gone.
Clarke: Well, that was a close call.
Nick: I don't like doing this to her.
Clarke: Well, there's no turning back now. She's gonna find out sooner or later.
Nick: Everybody at Forrester is gonna know those designs are theirs.
Clarke: Well, it's--it's-- it's showtime. The press will be clamoring for champagne.
Jackie: Make sure there's plenty flowing.
Clarke: You got it.
Jackie: (Sighs) Nicky, I know you're troubled by this, but we have to do it. We've worked so hard to build this company, a company we can both be proud of. Look, whether or not we pull this off and we manage to save Jackie M. or not, we will get through this... together.
Nick: (Sighs) Mom, where's my truck?
Steffy: (Sighs) God, I-I wish... I wish it didn't have to be like this, that everyone could know how much we love each other.
Steffy: But it can't happen. Maybe we just need to give up on this. What's the point? What's the point of clinging on to something that can never happen?
Rick: Do you really-- you really want that?
Steffy: You know I don't.
Rick: Then why even say it? Listen to me, if something is worth fighting for, then we are. There always has to be a way.
Stephanie: This is some of your very best work, Eric. There isn't a designer in the business that wouldn't give their right arm for this collection.
Eric: I just hope this showing is a-a real triumph for Forrester Creations. I really do.
Stephanie: What are you so apprehensive about?
Eric: It's not just the showing. It's--it's--it's that, and it's this attitude that--that Thorne and Felicia have been giving me, you know?
Stephanie: Well, honey, they feel slighted. They feel they've been overlooked by their father.
Eric: Every one of my children have had complete opportunity here at the company, and they know it. There's room enough for everyone.
Stephanie: Eric, Eric, why don't you try looking at it from their perspective, hmm? Maybe you could be a little more sensitive... (inhales deeply) as to why they feel what they feel.
Jackie: Oh, my. You need some more champagne. Did I thank you for coming? Because really, both of you-- do you need more? A little bit? You've got it. I think you're going to have an absolutely fantastic time. I know you will. Just relax. You guys don't have glasses. I'm going to get you one. Thank you, everybody, for coming. Thank you. I need some more champagne, please. Thank you very much. Please, all, just be seated and have a good time.
Jarrett: You know, I just hope that they can pull it off, 'cause--
Jackie: Jarrett, champagne?
Jarrett: Uh, I try not to drink on the job.
Jackie: Oh, how boring.
Jarrett: Well, yeah. Yeah. Actually, I-I was wanting to ask about that, because how is it that you're able to hold a champagne reception and debut a new signature line when economic times are so bad? Rumor has it that Jackie M. is struggling to make its loan payments, and the company could go under.
Jackie: (Laughs) The new Jackie M. signature line is going to turn all that around.
Jarrett: Uh, well, with all due respect, Miss Marone, if Clarke Garrison is your designer, we've all seen over the years what he has to offer, and it's nothing to--
Jackie: (Laughs) I have every confidence in our season designer.
Jarrett: Well, uh, yeah, but Mr. Garrison's good, but if you're pinning all your hopes on him...
Jackie: Might I remind you that Mr. Garrison was schooled by one of fashion's finest icons--Eric Forrester? And under my direction, he's blossomed. I guarantee you that these designs will--
Jarrett: Will be on the level of Forrester Creations?
Jackie: Yes. I personally guarantee you that these designs will have the quality and the flair of a Forrester Original.
Katie: Okay, the press releases for the fashion show are at the copiers. I've got to go over the schedule with Eric. Wait a second. Did I already do that? Oh, my God. I can't think.
Brooke: Your mind is a million miles away.
Katie: Yeah. Is it that obvious?
Brooke: I'm your sister. I know that faraway look.
Katie: I'm just worried about Nick. You have no idea how much he needs this debut to be a success.
Brooke: You both do. You have a future with Nick now, so you both have a tremendous amount at stake.
Katie: I know. That's why I wish I could be there.
Brooke: I know Nick. He's a very proud person. And you're right. He's probably nervous that the show is going to be a failure. But in his heart, he wants you there.
Katie: You think so?
Brooke: Yeah. I think you should go be with him. He'd really appreciate it.
Katie: Really? Okay. Okay.
Brooke: (Laughs) Sure. Why not?
Katie: All right. Thank you for the good advice.
Brooke: Just let me know how it goes, okay?
Katie: All right. See you later.
(Voices speaking indistinctly)
Nick: Mother, it is going to get ugly when the Forresters see this.
Jackie: But Jackie M. Designs will be saved, and that's all that matters.
Rick: (Sighs) Steffy, this is such a mess, but we're gonna find a way through this. I mean, think about it. We never said that this was gonna be easy.
Steffy: Try impossible.
Rick: Steffy, I do not believe in the word "Impossible," okay?
Steffy: You just said my dad wouldn't accept us.
Rick: I did. Yeah. That is a humongous problem.
Steffy: Hey, he can never know how we feel about each other.
Rick: No, I know that, but it can't keep us apart. No one, nothing can keep us apart. Do you hear me when I say that to you? Do you understand?
Steffy: Yeah, I hear you. I-I hear you. I want to believe you.
Rick: But you don't believe me. You don't trust me.
Steffy: No. Rick... I love you.
Rick: Do you?
Steffy: Yeah. I-I love you. I love you, Rick. (Sighs) But my dad means so much to me. He does. And I can't--I can't cause him any more pain. I can't. I won't.
Rick: No, I know. L-listen, I understand that. Look, I know your dad means the world to you. I'm very, very sensitive to that. But suppose, just--just suppose, that we--we wouldn't have to deal with him anymore. (Voices speaking indistinctly)
Jackie: Thank you. Good evening, everybody. My, my, what a handsome crowd we've gathered here today. Thank you very much for coming to the debut of the new Jackie M. Signature line. May I tell you, you're going to be very surprised and very impressed with our collection, because it's like nothing that Jackie M. Has ever done before? Today, you are going to witness fashion history, so be prepared to tell the world that Jackie M. Is here to stay! And without further ado, may I present to you the new Jackie M. Signature line.
Eric: This is perfect.
Brooke: Another Forester Original.
Stephanie: I'd almost say it's a work of art.
Thorne: It's a nice job, Dad. You've outdone yourself.
Eric: I couldn't have done it without all of you.
Eric: I think it's terrific. It's beautiful. Forrester Creations is back. We're got another hit on our hands. There's nothing like this new collection out there on the market, nothing.
Jackie: Oh! (Applause)
Jackie: Nicky, do you hear that? Do you hear the applause? They love it. They absolutely love it! Thank you. Thank you.
Jarrett: Here to support your fiancÚ, Miss Logan?
Katie: Ah, yes.
Jarrett: It must be awkward working for the competition.
Katie: I don't want to miss the show. Excuse me.
Katie: That looks familiar. (Applause)
Katie: That looks like a Forrester Original.
Katie: Oh, my God. What is this? (Applause)
Katie: What-- what's going on here? They're Forrester Originals.
