Steffy: No, no. Don't stop. Don't ever stop.
Katie: Who knew picking a wedding planner could be so much work? And they all had really good ideas, especially Patrice. Although I think six strolling violinists might be a bit much. What do you think? Honey?
Nick: Hmm? Uh, I think that I love when you're happy.
Nick: And I think you should have exactly what you want and the wedding that you want no matter how grandiose or how much it costs. It's your day, and I want it to be a day that you'll remember the rest of your life.
Katie: Well, how could it not be? I'm marrying my prince charming. And, yes, I did just say that, because I'm hopelessly in love.
Nick: I just don't want to let you or Jack down.
Katie: You couldn't. You never could.
Bridget: (Sighs) Hey, Marcus, you're already back?
Marcus: Oh, hey, Bridget. I'm sorry about that. I didn't see you there.
Bridget: No, it's okay. I just thought you were in Big Bear with Steffy. Um, look, I don't mean to pry, but is everything okay? 'Cause you don't really seem like yourself.
Marcus: Yeah, probably 'cause I'm not. Look, it's Steffy. She did something I never expected.
Bridget: Really? Um, what did she do?
Marcus: Turned me down. That's why I asked her to go to Big Bear with me in the first place-- to ask her to marry me.
Marcus: You know I love that girl so damn much, Bridget. I thought that's what she would want. Well, there's more to Steffy than, um, than I ever realized.
Steffy: I didn't think this was possible.
Steffy: (Sighs) I just-- I don't want this moment to end.
Katie: These brides look so happy. (Scoffs) all right, I know it's silly. They're just models projecting an image, but I guess this is what we want to believe that marriage is all about, right? White lace and promises and happily ever after. That's what I've always fantasized about, even when my parents' marriage was falling apart. But look what happened. Things are working out for them. Things are working out for me. There's not a day that goes by that I don't give thanks for what I have. I will never take you or this life for granted. This is my dream come true. You're my dream come true.
Bridget: Wow, Marcus. I am so sorry. I can see how much you're hurting.
Marcus: Yeah. You know, I just want to give her something wonderful in her life because she's been through so much. You know, but, hey, I-- I guess I should have realized, you know. I mean, marriage is a big step. But I just thought that it would make-- yeah, look, it doesn't matter what I think, right? It's not gonna happen. She said no.
Bridget: I bet she said no because she's still dealing with everything that's happened to her.
Marcus: Yeah, well, there's more to it than that, Bridget.
Bridget: Well, what do you mean?
Marcus: Well, I asked her was there another guy. She didn't deny it.
Bridget: And where is-- is Steffy right now?
Marcus: Oh, well, she's up in Big Bear. She said she wanted to clear her head.
Marcus: Look, um, I better get back to work.
Bridget: Marcus, I am so sorry. More than you know.
Rick: (Grunts) Oh, man. It is so coming down out there. It's ridiculous. But we might get snowed in up here.
Rick: What do you think about that?
Steffy: Snowed in?
Steffy: That would be nice. You and me cut off from the rest of the world. (Laughs)
Rick: (Laughs) I like the sound of that.
Rick: It is so amazing being here with you. I'm serious. I don't care what anybody else thinks about us. This feels so right and feels so real. I've been doing some thinking. I don't care if I get cut off from the company. Hell, I don't even care if I get cut off from my own family.
Rick: If it means that you and I stay together, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I mean that.
Rick: Look, you and I are gonna stay here together no matter what, okay?
Rick: Is that selfish?
Steffy: No. Well, I guess I'm selfish, too, because I can't stop seeing you. But...
Steffy: We gotta be careful when we go back to L.A.
Rick: I know. Totally. I-I don't want to think about that at all right now. I just-- I want to be here with you, and I want to think about what kind of wild and crazy things I can do to you.
Steffy: Mm. I'm almost afraid to ask.
Rick: You should be. You should be frightened out of your mind because...
Rick: You ever seen these things before? (Laughs) now I've heard that you're a very talented skateboarder. I really hope it translates to the slopes, because I really don't want to embarrass you.
Steffy: Oh, embarrass me, huh? We'll just see about that.
Rick: (Laughs) You're gonna need that. Let's go.
Rick: (Sighs) After you.
Steffy: All right. Great.
Rick: (Laughs) (cell phone rings) Come on, Mom!
Bridget: Voicemail. Damn it, Rick, answer your phone. You better not be up there in the cabin with Steffy. (Sighs) I pray to God that you're not with Steffy.
Rick: You're great with your feet. Excellent. You're so talented. I gotta tell you, I am so impressed. You did awesome out there today.
Steffy: I had so much fun on the slopes. I just-- it's what I really needed. (Giggles)
Rick: I have an idea.
Rick: How about I go make us some tea and warm us up?
Rick: Sound good?
Rick: Mwah. Oh, my God!
Rick: You should see this. (Grunts) look what I just found. Now I know where my dad got his nickname.
Steffy: What? Let me see that.
Rick: Look at this. Seriously.
Steffy: Oh, my God. "Honey bear"?
Steffy: Oh, my God, this is dis-- okay, put it back. I don't even want it. I don't even want it.
Rick: No, no, no, no. It is kind of gross when you think about it. (Laughs)
Steffy: (Laughs) My God.
Rick: Oh, Steffy, I gotta tell you, it feels so good to laugh.
Rick: Here, take one. Especially with everything that's been going on back home. Come here. I am so lucky to have you in my life, even if nobody can know about it right now.
Nick: (Quietly) I don't want to hear any excuses. No, I need to make this thing happen, and if you can't do it, I'll be damn sure to find somebody that will. We clear on that? Good.
Katie: What's so interesting?
Nick: (Normal voice) Hi. I didn't hear you come in. How's the main man?
Katie: False alarm.
Nick: Is he still sleepin'?
Nick: Good. Good.
Katie: I told you you're hearing things.
Katie: But maybe you just wanted to get me out of the room.
Nick: Now why would I want to do that?
Katie: I don't know. Your shoulders are in knots. You're so tense.
Katie: What's going on? What happened?
Nick: What makes you think something happened? (Chuckles) actually, something has. I have to make a call.
Katie: Right now?
Nick: Right now.
Katie: Well, maybe nothing's happened. But maybe something has. (Computer plays startup music)
Katie: Oh, my God.
Katie: Oh, my God. This can't be. (Computer shuts down)
Nick: Sorry about that.
Katie: Did you make your phone call? Everything okay?
Nick: It's just I am sorry that I left the way I did.
Rick: Are you warm enough?
Steffy: You know, I was just thinking about Phoebe and how we used to sit by the fire and talk for hours about boys and-- and school and what we'd do with our lives if we ever made it through Calculus. (Chuckles)
Steffy: We even planned our weddings-- what we'd wear, how we'd do our hair. (Sighs) we even planned out our husbands. Oh, God. (Chuckles)
Steffy: She was gonna marry a rock star...
Rick: (Chuckles) Of course.
Steffy: Or-- or a world-famous brain surgeon. Mm-hmm.
Rick: Oh, I can see that. Yeah. What about you?
Steffy: I didn't care... as long as he had piercing blue eyes. (Sighs) so, um, what were your dreams and hopes?
Rick: Oh, it's my turn.
Rick: Okay. Well... (sighs) I wanted to be like my father. I wanted to emulate my father, run a fashion house. I don't really know what my chances of actually doing that are, seeing as how people are viewing me at the company right now and how Stephanie is gunning for me, and it's just a mess. Oh, I don't wanna-- I'm sorry. (Laughs) I'm such a downer. I don't want to think about that right now. All I want to do is think about you and how beautiful you are and how much I admire you, the way you handled yourself, the strength that you showed in the face of a horrible tragedy. Look, I know that you and Phoebe were as close as two people could possibly be, and then one night, one senseless accident...
Rick: (Sighs) I told you this before. You will never know how much it meant to me when you came to me that night and you told me that you didn't blame me. God knows I blame myself. You were a lifeline for me, one that I desperately needed.
Steffy: I needed one, too.
Steffy: I needed what I found in you.
Steffy: No, I-I don't pretend to understand any of it. I don't think I ever will or if we're ever meant to.
Steffy: But what I do know-- that something so tragic... became so beautiful, something that needs to be cherished and protected. Do I wish we could just say what we felt? Yeah. Do I wish we could be honest with our families? Of course. But if this is how it has to be, then this is how it has to be. Because without you...
Steffy: I love you. I love you. And I don't know why this has happened, but... I thank to God it has. Because ever since that awful night, I'm able to feel again. I'm able to feel love, to know happiness and to feel alive because of you.
Bridget: What the hell do you think you're doing? What are you thinking, Rick? How many times have we already talked about this? You and Steffy cannot be together. It's absolutely impossible.
