Brooke: Ridge, why are you acting this way? It's just a lunch date. What's the big deal?

Ridge: The big deal is that Storm is dangerous.

Brooke: When did you start feeling like this?

Ridge: Since he shot my mother and his demented scheme to frame your father.

Brooke: He's getting help. He is committed to his therapy.

Ridge: No amount of therapy is gonna change what he did.

Brooke: Ridge, he knows what he did is wrong. He knows it was a terrible thing.

Ridge: Oh, so I'm just supposed to absolve him?

Brooke: Well, maybe if your mother's willing to.

Ridge: Mother doesn't want him working at Forrester. She sure as hell doesn't want him dating someone here. It still shakes her up thinking about the shooting.

Brooke: I'm sorry. I know it was a terrible thing what your mother went through.

Ridge: Brooke, no one wants a repeat. So tell you brother, no dating anyone at Forrester.

Brooke: My God, Ridge, you're talking like he's some kind of murderer.

Ridge: Well, if his plot hadn't failed, he would be, Brooke. I know you love him, but I'm telling you right now. There's a storm brewing, and I don't want anybody I know to get caught up in it.

Ashley: Thanks for lunch, Storm. It was a fun way to get away from the normal grind.

Storm: Ah, you're welcome. I had a good time. Sorry I got so carried away with our conversation. I didn't cover too much about the legal stuff, but, uh, we can go over it right now if you like.

Ashley: Oh, I don't have time, but we got to most of it, don't you think?

Storm: Mostly. We just haven't gotten clearance on the name, so I thought we could talk about some alternatives. Then there's the question of distribution.

Ashley: Oh, no, no, no, no. No, no, no. I can't get it out right now. The rest of this conversation is gonna have to wait.

Storm: All right. All right. But don't think you're gonna chase me away that easily. Apparently, you have a lot to learn about me.

Stephanie: Pam, I don't think switching pills like this is a very good idea. Now I know you want to help me. I understand that. I appreciate it, and I love you for it. But, sweetheart, there are moments in life when you just have to accept that it's-- it's just the best thing to walk away.

Pam: I can't believe that you are giving up this easily. So obviously, I'm the one that's gonna have to fight for you to get Eric back.

Stephanie: This is just a little too dramatic.

Pam: No, it isn't, but I'll tone it down just a little bit if it would make you happy.

Stephanie: Thank you.

Pam: Oh, um, Steph...

Stephanie: What is that?

Pam: Key to the love nest.

Stephanie: Where did you get that?

Pam: Don't ask, don't tell.

Stephanie: Oh.

Pam: I want you to go to him, be there when he wakes up and talk to him, Steph. Talk some sense into that under-stimulated libido of his.

Donna: Eric... oh, honey bear... wake up.

Eric: (Snores) Don't you want to wake up?

Eric: (Snores)

Donna: (Sighs) I love you. Do you love me?

Eric: (Snores)

Ridge: Logan, I know you have a huge soft spot for the brother who held your family together when your dad left. I admire your loyalty. But he's turned into a brooding, angry, dangerous man.

Brooke: Would you stop? You've blown this whole thing way out of proportion. Dad and Storm have resolved their issues. The root of Stormy's anger doesn't even exist anymore.

Ridge: I've blown it out of proportion? He shot my mother, Brooke. She almost died. And now you want me to just forget about it because of some conversation he and your dad had that s-somehow makes it all okay? Are you really believing what you're saying here?

Brooke: Okay, okay, I get it. You don't want Stormy working here, and you don't want him seeing anybody who works here. (Sighs) But don't you think he deserves to find some kind of happiness?

Ridge: You and I are not gonna see eye to eye on this. He's your brother. You want to believe in him. Well, I can't. He's trouble. I don't want anybody that I care about anywhere near him.

Ashley: Okay, so you have to go now. Good-bye.

Storm: I know. You're right.

Ashley: Yeah, I have work to do. See you.

Storm: I-I-I'll let you get back to work.

Ashley: Okay.

Storm: Oh, and listen, I just want you to know how important your project is to me, so if there's anything I can do to help, please, let me know.

Ashley: I will. I have nothing but utter faith in your commitment as my attorney on this project.

Storm: Well, I also hope this is the beginning of a new friendship, as well, for both of us.

Pam: Welcome back, Donna. Was lunch everything you hoped it would be? I kind of thought Eric would be with you after your inspiration session. Did somethin' come up, or is the problem that nothing came up?

Donna: Shut up, Pam.

Pam: (Gasps)

Donna: (Sighs)

Katie: Donna... what's wrong? What happened?

Donna: (Sighs) I don't know, Katie. I just-- you know, maybe Stephanie's right. What if I'm just not good enough for a man like Eric?

Katie: (Sighs)

Eric: Hey, Donna. Donna? Hey.

Stephanie: No, Eric, it's me.

Eric: Stephanie? W-w-where's Donna?

Stephanie: She's gone.

Eric: Is--is something wrong?

Stephanie: No. No, no, no, no. I just needed to talk to you. I needed to find out if this is really what you want.

Storm: Brooke... come here. Come... here. Mm. I can't even begin to thank you enough.

Brooke: Uh, w-what are you talking about?

Storm: What am I talking about? I'm talking about Ashley, remember? I just had a great time with her, and it never would have happened if it weren't for you.

Katie: Donna, w-what happened? Are you okay?

Donna: Do I look okay?

Katie: Where is Eric?

Donna: He's sleeping. He's sleeping?

Katie: What?

Donna: He's sleeping!

Katie: Okay, I just-- why are you so upset?

Donna: (Sighs) look, I-I-I planned this whole, you know, fun, sexy lunch at our getaway, and--and you know, I had a whole script for how I was gonna seduce him. And--and before I was even finished, he fell asleep on me.

Katie: Well, he is kind of old.

Donna: Katie! Okay, maybe he's a little older, or is-- or is he just bored with me? I-I mean, do you think he's lost interest already?

Katie: No, of course he hasn't lost interest. He's crazy about you. Donna, look, you've been through a lot lately, and I'm sure you've lost some of your confidence, but you can't react like this. You can't let Stephanie win.

Donna: (Sighs) yeah, but what if she's right? I mean, what if he finally decides that I'm not the right fabric to be the next Mrs. Eric Forrester? I mean, I-I don't know what I'll do if I lose him.

Katie: You won't lose him. Stop it.

Donna: (Sighs)

Katie: You won't.

Donna: (Sighs)

Katie: You can't let your insecurities get the best of you.

Pam: Excuse me, um, would it be okay if I put a file on Eric's desk?

Donna: Just do it.

Pam: Mm-hmm, a little edgy, aren't we? (Laughs)

Donna: I'm not really in the mood for chitchat today, Pammy.

Pam: Well, excuse me. (Laughs) but I-I understand why you're a little off your feed.

Donna: What?

Pam: Well, you left the door ajar. I-I couldn't help overhearing.

Donna: Oh, nice. Nice. So now you're eavesdropping?

Pam: No, but you've got to learn to keep your voice down a little, dear. It carries, you know?

Katie: Um, Pam?

Pam: Hmm?

Katie: We're kind of in the middle of something.

Pam: Oh, yeah, I know. Well, I heard. Talking about your little adventure, or should I say sex-capade-- attempted sex-capade?

Donna: Listen, you old biddy. Mind your own business.

Pam: I know why you're nervous, Donna. You're beginning to see things my way.

Katie: Pam, really, we have work to do.

Pam: Yeah, I guess you do. Gotta plan your next seduction. You feel him slipping away, don't you, Donna? You're beginning to realize what I have been trying to tell you for a very long time. It's never gonna happen, honey. You are never going to be the next Mrs. Eric Forrester.

Stephanie: Is this what you want?

Eric: Look, I don't want to fight with you.

Stephanie: I didn't come down here to fight with you. Believe me, I... (sighs) I just want to make sure you're happy. Eric, Donna's a beautiful girl, and there's a lot to be said for that. Believe me, I understand. But when the fun and games are over, where is it going to leave you?

Eric: (Sighs)

Stephanie: I didn't come here to say anything bad about Donna. There's nothing bad to say. You're enchanted with her. I can see that. But when the enchantment wears off-- and it will, honey, it always does-- what are you going to do? Start looking for a brand-new, fresh inspiration?

Stephanie: I want you to do whatever it is that's going to make you happy. But in my heart, I still believe that I can make you happy. I just-- I just need you to open your eyes and see what we've had and what we have and tell me that there's a chance that we can still save this marriage.

Storm: I mean, I have to tell you, everything you said about her was true. I mean, she's brilliant, and she's beautiful.

Brooke: Storm, it was only lunch.

Storm: Yeah, okay, party pooper, so it was only lunch. We may have dinner, and then, you know, who knows?

Brooke: Wait, wait, wait. Maybe you shouldn't move so quickly.

Storm: Why not?

Brooke: I don't know. Maybe it was a bad idea on my part. I mean, don't you think it's better if you just focus on your therapy, and then you become a better person, and then you can pursue whoever you want?

Storm: What? You practically begged me to take her out. What's with the change of mind here?

Brooke: Uh, it just seems like kind of a sticky situation. I mean, Ashley works here at Forrester, and you're doing the legal aspect of her belief formula. I don't know. It just seems like kind of a confusing situation.

Storm: Yeah, that's--that's ridiculous. What's-- what's really going on here? Come on. Come on. Spill the beans. What's up?

Brooke: Uh, okay. Um, it's Ridge. He thinks that--

Storm: Whoa. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Ridge? Ridge has a problem with me going out with Ashley? I mean, what's the problem? He's engaged to you. What, is he trying to keep Ashley available for himself? He needs two women at his beck and call? I mean, the guy is a little bit of an egomaniac, don't you think?

Brooke: Storm, stop. He doesn't know that you went out to lunch with Ashley, and he can never find out.

Storm: (Sighs)

Ashley: Hey, Ridge, could you come here for a second?

Ridge: Sure. What's up?

Ashley: Do you have a minute so we can hash out some of these legal issues with the belief fragrance? Is... hello? Are you listening?

Ridge: I'm sorry. Sorry. Hash what? What? What?

Ashley: Oh, no. You have that look on your face.

Ridge: What look?

Ashley: That look that you get on your face when something's going on with Brooke. Something's going on with Brooke, right?

Pam: Now, Donna, was your idea of inspiring Eric to put him down for a nice long nap in a cozy bed? Because it sounds like that's exactly what happened.

Donna: If I find out that you had anything to do with this, I guarantee you, Forrester creations is going to say adios to our in-house, crazy, old crone, Pam Douglas.

Pam: Looks like someone could use some sugar to counteract her sour side. How could I possibly have had anything to do with your failed playdate, Donna?

Donna: Listen, Pammy, you can take your little lemon bars and your Prozac-pumped smile and the whole Suzy homemaker freak show and get the hell out of dodge, because if you don't, a house might just fall on the wicked witch of the Midwest.

Pam: No, Donna, you're the one who's gonna be leaving town with her little tail between her legs, not me, out of Stephanie and Eric's life forever. If not, I will get you, my pretty, me and my little dog, too.

Pam: Ciao.

Katie: Okay. She's a little loony. (Sighs) Don't let her get under your skin. She's just trying to rile you up.

Donna: Yeah, well, she's not gonna get away with this anymore. She wants to play dirty, fine. It's my turn to fight back, and that's exactly what I'm gonna do.

Eric: Look, I-I'm not sure where you're going with all this, Stephanie.

Stephanie: (Laughs) well, to tell you the truth, I'm not sure where I'm going, either. When I was in the hospital, after I'd been shot, you know, surrounded with you and the children, my whole life flashed in front of me, as corny as that sounds-- all the good times, the bad times, everything. And the one constant was always you, and that's what gave me the strength at that moment. The look on your face-- you still had, um, you know, love and, uh, concern for me after all the years that we've been together. And... I just can't believe that those--those feelings have just disappeared. I-I just believe that there is still a chance for you and me. I can't let that go. I just can't let that go, Eric.

Storm: Whoa. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Ridge doesn't know that I was out with Ashley?

Brooke: No. And he'd be really, really, really upset with me if he knew that I suggested that you take her out. So please, don't say anything.

Storm: Mnh-mnh. Mnh-mnh. (Laughs) This isn't just about Ashley. You see, Ridge thinks I'm dangerous, so he's gonna try to protect every woman from me. Yeah, how noble of him.

Brooke: Storm...

Storm: No, no. Hey, you know what? If he thinks I'm dangerous, maybe I should prove him right. What do you think, huh?

Brooke: Don't say that.

Storm: Well, I am sorry, but the guy really pisses me off. I mean, let me ask you something, Brooke. How did Ridge get to where he is today? Oh, right, he inherited it from his daddy. He rode in on his coattails, literally. I mean, the guy's been given everything in his whole entire life, and now he wants to keep every woman for himself. I mean, the guy is an idiot, and I've had just about enough.

Brooke: Storm, wait. Stormy! (Sighs)

Ridge: I know you don't want to talk about anything to do with Brooke. It's, uh, it's just a family matter.

Ashley: What's going on with your family?

Ridge: Oh, it's the Logans, actually. And I don't really want to get into it. It's just something Brooke and I are never gonna see eye to eye on.

Ashley: Well, I'm sorry. The last thing you need is more tension, right?

Ridge: It's the legal questions you wanted to talk about. Can we do that later? I just have got to clear my head, okay?

Ashley: Sure. You know where to find me. Good luck.

Storm: Oh, hey, Ridge, I've got some, uh, paperwork for you. You want this now?

Ridge: I'll tell you what I want, Storm. I want you out of here. You're fired.

Storm: What?

Ridge: You may have fooled your sisters, but not me. You're a sick, petulant coward. You shot my mother, and I have no doubt whatsoever you're capable of a lot worse. I don't ever want to lay eyes on you again, Storm, not ever.
