Brooke: Ridge, you have to listen to me. (Sighs) Taylor is seducing Rick. That is sick and deranged. I mean, can you imagine? Pretending to have feelings for my son just to get back at me. Has she no shame?

Ridge: Logan, what you're inferring here is kind of laughable.

Brooke: Ridge, I know what I saw. They kissed. Are you gonna help me do something about this or not?

Ridge: Like what? What? I mean, do-- look, I think the best thing we can do is just let it play out.

Brooke: (Sighs) have you even thought what this is going to do to Phoebe when she finds out about Rick and her mother? How can you possibly let this happen?

Ridge: (Sighs) Logan, I-- okay, I'll go talk to Taylor.

Brooke: Thank you. I'd just hate to see Rick mixed up in all of this.

Ridge: I'll find out what's going on here, all right?

Ridge: I'll see you later.

Brooke: Okay.

Taylor: Yes, I could sense you were making some real progress at our last session. Mm-hmm. (Doorbell rings)

Taylor: I think that's a great goal. All right, you keep working at it, okay? I'll see you at our next meeting. Very good. Okay. All right. Okay. Okay, thank you. Bye.

Rick: Mm.

Taylor: (Laughs) Well, hello to you, too.

Rick: (Laughs) You okay?

Taylor: Uh, I'm just feeling a little swept off my feet, a little breathless.

Rick: That's kind of how I like my women. (Laughs)

Taylor: I'm serious. Um... no, I'm--I'm thanking you for last night. You were-- you were really a gentleman.

Rick: Well, I-I do have one regret about last night. Um, just that I didn't stay the night, actually. But seriously, I, uh-- I meant everything that I said. You're just so special to me, Taylor. So I have an idea. Um, uh, do you have any plans later? Can I--can I come back and-- a little bit later on, maybe this evening?

Taylor: Um, I don't-- I don't think I have any plans, no. No.

Rick: Well, I was gonna go to Cafe Russe and get some takeout-- your favorite, of course. And then I thought that I could bring it back here and we could light a fire in the fireplace, light some candles, listen to some music and then...

Taylor: Then... then... I'm listening.

Rick: Well, then hopefully, it will be a very memorable, unforgettable evening.

Pam: You fold in your 2 cups of flour. Well, of course, the flour's gotta be sifted. Otherwise, it's not gonna bake properly. Then you mix all the ingredients together real good and-- oh, I gotta call you back, Dottie. Uh, head honcho's here. Eric, I wasn't expecting you back at the office today. Chocolate pecan fudge? It's yummy.

Eric: No, no thank you, Pam. Not right now. Thank you.

Pam: Somethin' wrong?

Eric: I want to talk to you about this incident with Donna, this popgun thing that you pulled.

Pam: Oh, Eric, a girl's gotta have a little fun, don't you think?

Eric: Well, there's nothing fun about that, all right? I know what you're doing. You're trying to get under Donna's skin, and I want it to stop. Now look, I'm very glad to have you working here. You know that's how I feel about I family, but I'm not gonna let you if this continues.

Pam: You're right. You're right, Eric. I'm sorry. I should have known better. Donna's clearly not someone to joke with. Kind of a shame that she's so superficial, though. That girl has no sense of humor at all.

Katie: So we've scheduled the "Eye on fashion" piece. They've promised to do an exclusive on the wedding, and Jarrett Maxwell is going to do the interview tomorrow.

Donna: Oh, my God. Are there gonna be photographers?

Katie: Uh, yeah, probably.

Donna: Really? Seriously? Oh, my God. I-I'm like--I'm so pale. I'm like--I'm like a ghost. (Sighs) Luckily, I scheduled an appointment at a tanning salon then.

Katie: Oh, okay, whatever. Anyway, you are gonna be very busy. You have personal appearances. You have the premiere of the new line and the meet and greet at the rodeo boutique. And you're not listening to me. Why aren't you listening to me?

Donna: Oh, Katie, Katie, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm just--I'm so frazzled. All this talk about a wedding, I just... (sighs) I want to look beautiful for Eric.

Katie: Honey, you are beautiful. You've never had any trouble being beautiful.

Donna: Thank you. Thank you. I just-- I want everything to be perfect for the big day, you know? Perfect for my honey bear. (Sighs)

Pam: I apologize, Eric. I wouldn't want to do anything to jeopardize my position here. You have been so generous to me. I guess I'm guilty of one thing. I'm too committed to you and my sister. You had such a wonderful marriage. The thought of that all ending-- it breaks my heart, especially at the hands of someone like Donna ho-gan. Come on, Eric, isn't it a little bit of a cliché at this point in your life to fall for the ditzy blond? I mean, Brooke had brains. But Donna? Nothing but air.

Eric: Now look, Pam, listen to me.

Pam: No, Eric, a-all I'm trying to say is, I just wish you could see you deserve so much better.

Eric: You know, it really surprises me that this is so difficult for you. But you're gonna have to respect my decision, all right? And for your information, yes, I think Donna's beautiful, but she's not an airhead. She's not some ditzy blond. She's very intelligent, and she's certainly not superficial. I'll be down in the cutting room.

Pam: Okey-dokey. Not superficial? (Scoffs) we shall see about that, Mr. Forrester. Oh, ho ho ho ho! Yes. "Golden glow salon." (Laughs) Ooh, we'll see about that.

Donna: I mean, don't you see, Katie? This wedding is the biggest event of my life. Eric is introducing me as his bride to the whole world. That's why everything has to be perfect. I mean, nothing-- nothing less will do. Oh, my God. I have got to get to the gym.

Katie: Oh, I was just thinking the same thing. Your butt looks huge!

Donna: No, no, I have no butt. Look, it's flat!

Katie: Donna, stop. I'm worried about you. You've never looked better. You're obsessed.

Donna: No, I'm not obsessed. I'm not obsessed. I just--I want to look good. I mean, Eric-- Eric is an aesthetic man. He has spent his whole life appreciating beauty. That's why every second I have between now and the wedding I'm gonna spend in the salon, the gym or the spa, just so I can look my best walking down the aisle.

Katie: Fair enough. Just remember, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Brooke: I see you. Rick, we need to talk.

Rick: Look, Mom, I know how you feel about Taylor and me. You disapprove. I get it.

Brooke: I-I know you want to believe that this is some grand love affair.

Rick: Can't we just agree to disagree, please? I don't want to fight with you anymore.

Brooke: I don't want to fight with you either, honey, but this is just--

Rick: Mom, there's nothing that you can say that's gonna change the way I feel about her.

Brooke: (Sighs) I want you to trust me as your mother. Whatever is going on between you and Taylor-- it has to stop. It's wrong for so many reasons. I want it to end.

Taylor: Okay, okay, I know exactly why you're here. I'm sure Brooke came running to you all hysterical, tears flowing, the whole works.

Ridge: Brooke's very concerned about her son.

Taylor: There's nothing to be concerned about.

Ridge: That's what I told her.

Taylor: Well, what's with you? I'm surprised you're not more upset.

Ridge: Look, Taylor, I know you're upset with Brooke, but come on. You and Rick? You're acting out here. This is kind of ridiculous.

Taylor: Wait. Wait, wait, wait. Who said that I was out there putting on some kind of show or something? No, Rick isn't pretending. There really is something between us. There really is a bond there. And you can either choose to accept it, or you can get out of my house. I found it! .

Woman: So this lotion is great for smoothing out any streaks, and your golden tone will start to fade in about seven to ten days.

Woman: Thanks.

Woman: Okay, bye. (Laughs) Hello. Welcome to the golden glow tanning salon.

Pam: (Gasps)

Woman: Can I help you?

Pam: Maybe. I've never done anything like this before.

Woman: Aw. We have a special today-- buy one, get one free.

Pam: Oh. Um, how exactly does this spray tan thingy work?

Woman: Oh, super simple. (Laughs) first, you read the pamphlet, followed by a quick shower to get all the pollutants off your body.

Pam: Mm-hmm.

Woman: And then you hop right into the misting booth.

Pam: You're in there naked?

Woman: (Laughs) Yeah, but don't worry. It's completely private. And then when you are ready, I flip the switch, and presto--instant tan.

Pam: Ah.

Woman: You want to try it?

Pam: Well, I'm waiting for a friend to show up, but... yeah, okay. I'll do it.

Rick: Mom, I'm an adult. I'm a grown man, okay? This is something you're just gonna have to accept or get used to. I don't know.

Brooke: You and Taylor? I'm sorry, Rick, but I'm never gonna be able to get used to that. I won't accept the two of you.

Rick: (Drops object)

Brooke: Taylor's only doing this to get back at me. And I'd be over there right now, except it would only make matters worse.

Rick: You just don't-- you--you really don't understand, do you?

Brooke: I do understand, and so does Ridge. That's why I asked him to help me talk some sense into her. He's over there with her right now.

Rick: What? Mom, why won't you just leave Taylor alone?

Brooke: Because you're my son, and I care about you.

Rick: If you cared about me, you would just back off.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Rick: I believe in what Taylor and I share. Otherwise, I wouldn't feel this way, all right? In fact, I'm planning a romantic dinner as we speak.

Brooke: Are you serious?

Rick: Yes.

Brooke: Why would you do that?

Rick: Well, not that it's any of your business whatsoever, but I'm hoping that after tonight, Taylor and I can... be together in every way possible.

Brooke: Oh, my God. Rick, no!

Rick: Look, I-I'm not-- I'm not trying to upset you. That's not what I'm trying to do here, all right? Like I said, I'm just a grown man who knows what he wants, and I want Taylor. And I'm hoping, I believe, that she wants me.

Ridge: Taylor, you don't want Rick. I know you've been going through a difficult and confusing time the last while, but to reach out to Rick, Phoebe's first love? Phoebe would be devastated if she found out.

Taylor: There isn't anything to find out.

Ridge: How can you be certain she wouldn't, though, hmm? Rick is a kid. He could be your son.

Taylor: Okay.

Ridge: He's your daughter's first love. How many reasons do you need to know that you've got to stop this?

Taylor: I know that Brooke sent you here because she thought you might have a better shot at getting to me than she did. But guess what? I am not listening. You have no right to come here and tell me who I can and cannot be with.

Ridge: You've got to realize how wrong this is.

Taylor: Wrong? You want to know what's wrong? I come home every night, and you know what I face? This empty house with memories of good relationships gone bad. In the meantime, everybody else goes on with their life. Like, "oh, Taylor will be all right." Rick is the only person who has given a damn about how I'm doing and stops by to see me. (Scoffs) and you-- you dare come to my house, and you tell me that it's wrong for me to have somebody on my side for a change? (Scoffs)

Ridge: What about Phoebe?

Taylor: What about her? She hasn't even been with Rick for months.

Ridge: You can't believe she's gonna be okay with this.

Taylor: Ridge, you act like there's something sick and sordid going on.

Ridge: Taylor, in so many ways, that's true.

Taylor: Okay, fine. You know what? I know you don't like him, but Rick has been nothing but kind and gentle and caring and comforting to me. I mean, really, that is very selfish of you. Brooke's already taken away every support system I have. She took you. She took Nick. (Scoffs) I guess I have her checkmated there now, though, don't I? Rick's the one man in this world she can't seduce away from me.

Woman: Hi.

Donna: Hi.

Woman: Can I help you?

Donna: Yeah. Yeah. I'm Donna Logan. I have an appointment.

Woman: Yes, ms. Logan. Great. Um, have you tanned with us before?

Donna: No, no. First time. Actually, I've never really been to a tanning salon, but, um...

Woman: (Gasps)

Donna: I'm getting married.

Woman: (Laughs)

Donna: So I just want to look perfect for my husband.

Woman: Of course you do. Well, you have come to the right place, and there's a first time for everything.

Donna: Yeah.

Woman: I should know. I'm kidding. Of course, I'm kidding.

Woman: Oh, uh, how dark would you like to be?

Donna: Um, you know, very light, just barely, barely detectable. I just, uh, want a healthy glow, you know?

Woman: Absolutely. That is a number one. Okay, now when you get inside, I want you to close your eyes for me.

Donna: Uh-huh.

Woman: Keep the palms of your hands facing down. And once the machine has started, be sure to hold your breath.

Donna: Oh. Oh, how long does that last?

Woman: About 30 seconds.

Donna: Oh. Good, 'cause I kind of get claustrophobic sometimes.

Woman: Stop it. It's super simple and easy.

Donna: Okay, okay.

Woman: Go on. Now I'll take your towel and hang it right up out here. All right. Now when you are done, I'm gonna ask that you please pat yourself dry, okay? All right.

Pam: Um, excuse me. I hate to bother you.

Woman: Oh, I'll be with you in just a minute. Are you ready?

Donna: I'm all set.

Woman: All right. Remember to hold your breath. (Laughs) Here you go.

Woman: Now what can I help you with?

Pam: I think the shower back there is broken. It doesn't seem to want to spit out any hot water.

Woman: Oh, dear. Well, that is not good. I'm gonna just take a look. I'll be right back.

Donna: (Exhales) hmm. Well, that wasn't so bad, not so bad at all. Uh... uh, hello. It--it's coming on again. Is that supposed-- supposed to happen? Help! Uh... hello? Hello? The machine's coming on. Oh, my God, the door's locked. (Crying) hello? Hello? Somebody, help me! (Gasps) oh, my God. (Screams) (wailing) come on! My God, help me! Whoa! Help! Help! Oh, my God, it's happening again. Help! Let me out of here! (Sobbing) help! Help... help... (sobs)

Taylor: I am not going to let you people paint this into something ugly. Rick just kissed me in front of his mother to make a point. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it. But that's not what is going on between us, okay? This is about two people being there for each other and supporting each other. It's about me needing some support for a change, people to be on my side, someone to be my friend.

Ridge: Okay, so a friend? That's what Rick is to you?

Taylor: Yes, he's-- he's a-a very wonderful, loving, compassionate friend. That's it.

Ridge: Okay.

Taylor: I'm not in love with him if that's what you're trying to ask me. Is that what you're saying? Because I would never let that happen. I am not going to fall in love with him. My God, he's Brooke's son. Like, she's gonna be my mother-in-law?

Ridge: Taylor, promise me you're not gonna let this go any further then.

Taylor: (Groans)

Ridge: Come on. I want to hear you say it.

Taylor: (Laughs)

Ridge: Taylor, this is wrong, and you know it is. Rick has gotten way ahead of himself, and you know better.

Taylor: Okay, fine, fine. Whatever, whatever. I-I'll give you that. I-I'm--I'm not going to do anything. I'm not letting this get out of hand. Will it become intimate? Will I let it go beyond friendship? The answer is, no, I will not, okay? So now you've heard what you needed to hear, and you can go home and report that to sergeant Brooke. Go on. I am not in love with Rick! There is no way I am ever going to let anything like that happen. I am not going to cross that line ever.

Rick: (Sighs)
