Brooke: I hope you get this message in time. But don't tell the police anything. Don't tell them that you shot Stephanie. She's on her way over here, and I think she wants to make a deal.
Charlie: Counselor, what's up?
Storm: I, um, I have some information that will exonerate my father.
Charlie: Information or more theories?
Charlie: Baker. All right, I'm on my way.
Storm: Whoa, whoa, whoa, this is important.
Charlie: So is this. Be right back.
Storm: I guess we wait.
Donna: So why did you want to meet me here in the showroom?
Eric: Well, since we've been under so much stress lately, I thought it might be a nice break for us. Uh, lights, please. Right this way.
Donna: (Giggles) Oh, we're having dinner here?
Eric: Yes, we are. And we're also having a very special private showing. Right this way.
Donna: Sounds intriguing.
Eric: That's exactly the plan.
Donna: Thank you.
Eric: You're welcome.
Man: Good evening, Eric.
Man: May I serve the champagne?
Eric: Yes, please, if you will. (Cork pops)
Donna: (Laughs) Champagne?
Eric: Yes, champagne.
Donna: (Laughs) thank you.
Man: Let me know when you'd like your first course.
Eric: So I will. Thank you. (Clears throat)
Eric: Cheers. (Glasses clink)
Donna: So what exactly, um, are you gonna be showing me?
Eric: A collection inspired by the woman I love and for the woman I love and for no one else.
Donna: Are you serious?
Eric: I'm absolutely serious. We're going on a trip-- you and I-- to a wonderful island.
Donna: What island?
Eric: Oh, it's an island so private it doesn't even have a name. And this is what you're gonna be wearing on the first leg of our journey.
Woman: Cast adrift on an open sea
Eric: Very sophisticated, but like you, also very, very comfortable.
Donna: Oh, Eric, I love it. I love it.
Eric: And as you can see, it's very easy to get out of if you should choose to take a nap...
Eric: On the plane.
Donna: Well, only if you're next to me, of course... in case of turbulence.
Eric: Oh, the only turbulence on this trip will be caused by me.
Eric: In any case, it's gonna be a flight that you and I will never forget. (Glasses clink)
Brooke: Katie, when you get this message, call me, please. And tell Storm to keep his mouth shut, because his future depends on it. (Doorbell rings)
Stephanie: Did you reach your brother? Has he spoken to the police, or not?
Brooke: I don't know. He literally walked out the door when you called, Stephanie. So I left him a message.
Stephanie: Well, it's absolutely imperative whether he's spoken to them or not.
Brooke: Why? Are you going to reconsider? You're not gonna make Storm turn himself in?
Stephanie: I have an offer.
Brooke: What kind of offer?
Stephanie: You want your father set free, and you do not want your brother charged. In return, I have one condition.
Brooke: Which is?
Stephanie: I want my husband back. I want to save my marriage.
Brooke: What are you saying?
Stephanie: That I am prepared to go to the police and make a statement that your father and your brother were not involved in this. In return, Donna has to walk away from Eric.
(Caribbean music playing)
Eric: After our trip, I thought maybe you might want to, uh, take a dip-- our villas right on the beach, or if you prefer, to relax--relax by the pool.
Donna: Well, I'll--I'll have some interesting tan lines.
Eric: Yeah. Or not.
Donna: Swimwear optional?
Eric: Entirely up to you.
Eric: Thank you, Trina.
Eric: After our swim, I thought we might have dinner on the veranda.
Donna: Eric, it--it's exquisite.
Eric: I imagined a dress in which your whole body would glow so that you could feel the, uh, tropical breezes on your shoulder.
Donna: You know, I can't help notice that your, uh, creative vision doesn't really require much fabric.
Eric: Yes, and I'm thinking now that I see it, um, even this has too much fabric.
Katie: Storm, are you sure about this?
Storm: (Exhales deeply) I have one option, Katie. I have to turn myself in. And then I hope that I don't pull a judge with an ax to grind at sentencing.
Katie: (Sighs) you're giving up so much. But then again, that's what you've always done-- sacrifice, put your own needs aside for the family.
Charlie: Sorry I took so long.
Storm: Okay, as I was saying, the reason I'm here is that--
Charlie: Let me guess. Your father was framed?
Storm: Once you hear what I have to say, detective, you'll release him immediately.
Charlie: Fine. Talk, counselor. But I warn you. This better be worth my time.
Storm: (Chuckles) (sighs)
Brooke: You want Eric back, and you've convinced yourself that if you just get rid of the competition, it will happen.
Stephanie: This relationship is not going to last.
Brooke: Stephanie, think this through. Even if Donna walks away from Eric, is he going to take you back? And what if he doesn't? Is the arrangement null and void?
Stephanie: No. You worry about Donna, and let me worry about Eric.
Brooke: (Sighs heavily) He left you. He's living in a hotel.
Stephanie: You saw him Christmas day.
Brooke: That was one day.
Stephanie: He was happy. We were happy. I just--I believe in my heart that Eric and I-- all we need is a clear path.
Brooke: You didn't answer my question. What if Eric doesn't take you back? What if things don't work out the way that you want? I mean, are you gonna still stick to the arrangement?
Stephanie: Yes, absolutely. I'm prepared to go to the police. I'll make a statement. I'll see to it that your father is set free. Your brother never has to even be mentioned in this.
Brooke: And then what about Donna? What does she do?
Stephanie: Honey, Donna's young. She's beautiful. She'll find another man eventually. It's just not gonna be my husband.
Stephanie: Do we have a deal?
Storm: Look, as I've said from the beginning, my father was set up. The real shooter went out of his way to make it look like my father pulled that trigger. But he didn't. Stephen Logan did not try to kill Stephanie Forrester, and I can prove it.
Charlie: We have evidence that proves otherwise.
Storm: Evidence can be manipulated, detective. Or, uh, don't they teach you that at the academy these days?
Charlie: Have I shown you the slug they pulled out of Mrs. Forrester? She's the victim here, not your client.
Storm: You're wrong. The person who did this hated my father even more than my father hated Stephanie Forrester.
Charlie: You know that for a fact, do you?
Storm: I do, because it was-- (phone rings)
Storm: Come on.
Brooke: Hi, this is Brooke Logan. My brother Storm was on his way down there.
Charlie: Hold on. For you.
Brooke: Stormy, just tell me you didn't say anything yet.
Storm: Brooke, we've been through this already.
Brooke: Did you or didn't you?
Storm: No, I didn't, but I will.
Brooke: Don't. You have to listen to me.
Storm: Look, I'm hanging up now, okay?
Brooke: No, don't you dare. Look, Stephanie's here, and she wants to make a compromise.
Storm: Brooke, no more. We've been through this, okay?
Brooke: No! Put Katie on.
Storm: (Sighs heavily)
Katie: (Sighs) Brooke, what's going on?
Brooke: Katie, just don't let Storm say anything. I think there's another way that we can handle this. I need you to come home now.
Katie: Okay. Um, we've gotta go.
Katie: We've gotta go. You're--you're finished for today. Uh, there's an emergency at home. I'm sorry about that.
Charlie: There usually is.
(Caribbean music playing)
Donna: Now this is by far the best fashion show I have ever seen.
Eric: Oh, it isn't finished yet.
Donna: Now how could you possibly-- (cell phone rings)
Donna: (Sighs heavily) you know, I don't know who it could be. (Rings)
Donna: I don't want to talk to anyone right now. It's Brooke. (Rings)
Eric: It could be important.
Donna: I'm sure it can wait.
Stephanie: Perhaps I should talk to Donna myself.
Brooke: No. (Scoffs) Stephanie, this isn't some minor request. What you're asking her to do-- I-I don't even know if she would even agree to it.
Stephanie: She will if she loves her brother.
Brooke: But she also loves Eric, and far more deeply than you give her credit for. I could see her reacting to your proposal by telling you to go straight to hell.
Donna: To your brilliant itinerary.
Eric: That's only the first day.
Donna: What could you possibly have in mind after that?
Eric: Well, the next morning we will, uh-- we'll slip away to a wonderful spot right on the bay-- beautiful, beautiful view of the bay.
Donna: Mm, it sounds lovely.
Donna: Just the two of us?
Eric: Well, no, actually, someone is gonna join us later, but that's right after you slip into this. (Wedding march playing)
Eric: What is it? Is it too short? It's too long?
Donna: No, it's--it's--it's perfect.
Eric: No, you're perfect. You're absolutely perfect... for me. And I'm the only one who knows it.
Donna: (Laughs) (sniffling)
Eric: What you have brought to my life-- you've made me so happy. And you've made me the man I want to be. And you got my company back, and I owe you so much.
Eric: I love you. Marry me. Marry me.
Donna: (Crying) (giggles)
Eric: Donna, will you? Come here.
Eric: Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?
Donna: (Sobbing) Oh, my God, yes. (Laughs) yes.
Eric: (Laughs) you will? You will?
Donna: Oh, my God. (Laughs) when we first got together, I-I never dreamed that-- okay, okay, fine, maybe--maybe I dreamed that we would-- but I-I forced myself not to expect anything. I-I just-- (laughs) (cell phone rings)
Donna: You've got to be kidding me. No. (Rings)
Donna: What--what--what could possibly be so urgent?
Donna: It's--it's Brooke.
Eric: Answer it. Go on. (Rings)
Eric: It's okay.
Eric: It's okay. Go ahead. (Rings)
Donna: You know, sis, um, sometimes people don't want to be interrupted.
Brooke: This is an emergency, Donna. I need you to come home right away.
Donna: What kind of emergency? Is someone hurt or something?
Brooke: I'll explain when you get here. But it's urgent. Donna?
Donna: I'm here.
Brooke: Are you coming? Can I count on you?
Donna: Fine. Fine. I'll be there.
Eric: Is everything okay? It sounds serious.
Donna: I-I don't know. She wouldn't get into it on the phone. (Sighs)
Eric: It sounds like she needs you, though.
Donna: I don't want to leave.
Eric: I don't want you to leave either. But maybe you should-- maybe you should go.
Donna: But we haven't even had dinner. And--and you worked so hard to make sure that this was just perfect.
Eric: It is perfect. You said "yes." We have a lifetime of magical moments ahead of us. I'm not going anywhere.
Donna: I love you so much.
Eric: I love you. I love you, Donna Logan, now and forever.
Donna: (Crying) (sobbing)
Brooke: The best thing for you to do to help your own cause would be to leave now.
Stephanie: You don't think you'll need my help convincing Donna?
Brooke: Oh, trust me, that would only make things worse. (Door opens)
Storm: (Sighs) I know what you're thinking.
Stephanie: Oh, you couldn't possibly know what I'm thinking.
Storm: (Sighs heavily) I was lost, and I'm so ashamed of what I did. Look, I realize that, uh, "I'm sorry" doesn't begin to cut it. What happened was because of some old wounds between my father and me that never healed. And you took the brunt of that. You didn't deserve that, Stephanie. And all I can do now is offer you my sincere apology, although I doubt... (laughs nervously) very much that my words mean any-- anything to you right now.
Stephanie: I could be dead, Storm. And I'm still in a lot of pain. But it's apparent to me that you are, too.
Stephanie: Do you honestly realize that you need help?
Storm: I do. I do. And I-I hope to get that while I'm behind bars.
Brooke: (Sighs) Storm, we need to talk.
Storm: You know, I, um--
Donna: You know, I was in the middle of something extremely important. So this better-- what the hell are you doing here?
Storm: Look, look, just hold on a second. Stephanie, I was at the police station... (sighs) when Brooke called me, and I was ready to confess. Now I need to get my father out of custody. One of us has to serve the time. So--
Stephanie: This is exactly what your sister and I have been discussing. I am prepared to go to the police and make a statement that will keep you and your father clear of all of this.
Storm: (Sniffling) What is it you want?
Stephanie: This is a limited-time offer.
Storm: What in the hell does that mean?
Katie: What is she talking about? What other way?
Donna: Look, if we can resolve this without anyone going to prison--
Brooke: (Sighs) look, I need to speak to Donna alone.
Katie: Oh, come on, you can't shut us out now.
Brooke: Katie, please, don't argue about this. This isn't easy for any of us.
Storm: Okay. Come on. Katie, let's go to the kitchen.
Donna: Brooke, what's going on? I mean, is this offer for real, or is this just another one of her stunts?
Brooke: No, I-I think that it's genuine. It's just kind of complicated.
Donna: Complicated? Why? I-I thought she wanted your forgiveness.
Brooke: (Sighs) She wants Eric even more. And that's the deal, Donna. She goes to the police, and she tells them she saw who shot her, and it's not our father, it's not our brother. But she wants you to walk away from Eric.
Donna: Oh, my God. Is there anything that woman wouldn't do?
Brooke: I'm sorry. Our brother's freedom is in your hands. If you don't want Stormy to go to jail, you're gonna have to make the sacrifice of a lifetime.
Brooke: I'm sorry, Donna. (Sighs) but the decision is all yours.
