Stephen: I said get your hands off my daughter. First, you seduce my wife, and then Brooke, and now Donna. I will not let you do this, Forrester. I will not let you do this to my little girl!

Nick: Thank you.

Brooke: Thanks for coming. You know, I-I thought it'd be easier to meet here instead of at my house.

Nick: I'm sure it has to do with the dressmaker. He made it very clear he doesn't want me showing up uninvited.

Brooke: You know why.

Nick: What? Does he have an issue with my kid being your kid still?

Brooke: I'm Jack's biological mother. That's where it ends.

Nick: Okay, Brooke, let's be real about this, shall we? You're always gonna have a place in his heart. He's always gonna have a place in your heart.

Brooke: Well, I just wanted to know now that he's home, how is he doing? I mean, I-I know he's not really out of the woods yet, but I just wanted to know if Taylor was able to bond with him. Nick, Taylor's not having a problem being a mother to Jack, is she?

Katie: (Sighs) can I sign that yet?

Storm: Not until I finish reviewing the final paragraph.

Katie: Oh, you lawyers are so... wonderful and generous and handsome. Thank you for helping me out.

Storm: Well, contracts are serious stuff, though this one seems pretty standard.

Katie: Katie Logan working for Forrester Creations, in P.R., no less. Not too shabby, huh?

Storm: And you're sure this is what you really want?

Katie: I'm sure. I'd like you to be happy for me.

Storm: I am. Mm... so when do you start?

Katie: Uh, that reminds me, uh, I need my birth certificate for some paperwork, and it's in Brooke's safe. Do you know the combination?

Storm: It's, uh, 67 left, 24 right, 19 left.

Katie: Oh, my God. There's a gun in here. Why does Brooke have a gun in her safe?

Storm: Well, since Stephanie brought it over, suggested that Brooke do everyone a favor and kill herself with it.

Katie: Are you kidding?

Storm: Trust me, you don't want to know.

Katie: Still, I can't believe that she would keep a gun in the house with children. I know it's in a safe, but--

Storm: I know. She really should have her assistant return it to Stephanie. Actually, go ahead and give it to me, will you?

Katie: I'm not touching that thing. I hate guns.

Storm: All right, fine. I'm supposed to touch base with Brooke today anyway. I'll bring it in.

Katie: (Sighs) "Katherine Elizabeth Logan." Katherine. Kate-- do you think Kate sounds more professional? Like I'd ever be able to get anyone to stop calling me Katie... especially Dad. I can't wait to see the look on his face when he finds out I'm working for Forrester Creations.

Storm: Well, there's no reason why Dad should have to find out about it.

Katie: Oh, he'll find out. He's in town, by the way.

Storm: What?

Katie: Donna called him, asked him to come.

Storm: Why would she do that?

Storm: Damn it! God. Why in the hell would she do that? Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It's just... (sighs) I've always taken care of you guys. I will continue to do that. We don't need Dad here. He just-- he shouldn't be here.

Stephen: I can't believe this is happening again. Haven't you taken enough from me already?

Donna: Daddy, please, you don't understand.

Stephen: No, honey, do not attempt to defend this man. He's just using you.

Donna: No, Daddy, stop it. You don't understand. I'm in love with Eric. (Voice cracking) I love him, Daddy.

Eric: Donna...

Donna: (Sighs)

Eric: Talk to your dad. I've gotta go. I'll get dressed. I'll be right back.

(Door closes)

Stephen: Oh, honey, you may think that you feel something, but--but love, no. Baby, that's not possible.

Donna: (Sobs)

Nick: If you're asking is it still tough for Taylor and the baby, that answer would be yes.

Brooke: How about the breast-feeding? How is that going?

Nick: Well, it's-- she's trying. At least, she's-- she's holding him.

Brooke: That's good for both of them.

Nick: Absolutely.

Brooke: But... is there still a problem?

Nick: I'll watch her sometimes when she doesn't know I'm looking. She has an expression on her face, Brooke. Uh... I'm not quite sure if she's concerned about the boy's health or if she can't let go of the thought that you'll always be connected to this child's life. And I don't know if she'll ever be able to look at that boy and not think that.

Katie: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you.

Storm: Ah, it's not your fault. It's just hearing the old man's back in town, um...

Katie: When was the last time you two spoke?

Storm: Spoke to him? (Scoffs) What's there to say? The man deserted us years ago. Nothing can change that.

Katie: Well, I'm just glad we always had you to take care of us.

Storm: Thanks... which is why I don't understand why Donna would call him instead of coming to me. It's just...

Katie: Listen, um, if you want to catch Brooke, you probably should get going.

Storm: Yeah. Yeah. (Sighs) Listen, uh, do me a favor, will you? Call Dad. Tell him to go back to Paris, or wherever the hell he lives now. I don't trust what I might do if I run into him. (Door closes)

Donna: I'm sorry that you had to find out like this, Daddy.

Stephen: Why didn't you tell me you were sleeping with him?

Donna: It's not like that, Daddy. It's so much more. (Voice cracking) I love him, Daddy. What I feel for him is real. For the first time in--in so long, I'm--I'm happy. After years of going out with losers, trying to find somebody I could love who could love me back, I'd almost given up hope. But now I-I wake up every morning pinching myself because this smart, beautiful, talented man has brought me into his life and changed my world like I only dreamed about.

Stephen: But, baby, if it were any other man...

Donna: (Normal voice) but it's not, Daddy, because Eric isn't just any other man. He treats me like a precious jewel. He shares his world with me. I want a future with him, Daddy. I want to spend my life loving a man who-- who fills my heart with joy. (Sobbing) Oh, why can't you be happy for me, Daddy? Please, just-- just be happy for me.

Donna: (Sobbing) (sobs)

Eric: Stephen, if you think I don't know what you're feeling, you're wrong. I do. I have daughters. If the situation were reversed, I wouldn't be any happier than you are, or any less concerned, really, given our history. But this is not some meaningless fling. Donna is a beautiful, intelligent, full-of-life woman, and she brought something to my life that's been missing for a very long time.

Stephen: And what about Stephanie?

Eric: Stephanie and I are separated. Stephen, I'm in love with your daughter. It's not something I was looking for, and I-I'm not even sure when it happened. But I can promise you, I'll do everything in my power to make her as happy as she's made me. (Door closes)

Donna: (Sobbing)

Storm: Hey, sis, do you have a minute for-- (sighs)

Stephen: Hello, son. It's good to see you.

Storm: Listen, um, tell Brooke I'll catch her later, okay?

Stephen: No, Storm, wait.

Storm: Please, Dad, take your hands off of me.

Stephen: Could we please not do this? I know you hate me for things that happened years ago, but there must be some way that I can--

Storm: For what? What? What do you want to do, Dad? Do you want to atone for deserting your wife and your four kids?

Stephen: I didn't desert my family. I left-- never mind.

Storm: No, go ahead. Say it. You left because... say it, damn it! You left because...

Stephen: Because my hotheaded son made it impossible for me to stay.

Storm: That's a bunch of crap, and you know it.

Stephen: What I know is you were always telling me everything was my fault, and a lot of it was, a lot of it. But did you ever once think what it was like for me to be living with your mother knowing how she felt about Eric? Do you know what that's like for a man? It's like a slow death, to be so in love with Beth, knowing that she would never love me.

Storm: That's a cop-out. You could have made that marriage work if that's what you truly wanted.

Stephen: How would you know what I wanted? You were always ordering me to leave.

Storm: Well, because I had hoped it might force you to act like a father for once, or a husband, fight to keep your family together. But no, you just-- you just left.

Stephen: I thought I was doing more harm than good by staying, because that's what you kept telling me.

Storm: (Laughs) oh, God. Oh, that's good. You know, I'm just curious, Dad. If I told you to jump off a cliff, would you do that, too? The truth is we don't need you here. We never have. I'll take care of my sisters, just like I always have.

Stephen: Oh, really? Really? You think you're doing such a terrific job, do you? Okay, so tell me, where were you when Donna started sleeping with Eric Forrester?

Storm: (Scoffs)

Stephen: Or no, no. Where were you when Brooke was raped? For somebody who's doing such a terrific job of taking care of your sisters, where were you when they really needed you, big man?

Storm: Raped? I would've known about that.

Stephen: You think I'm lying?

Storm: Brooke would have said something to me. Okay, who told you this, anyway?

Stephen: Brooke, but not about Stephanie's involvement. Donna--

Storm: What do you mean? What do you mean, "Stephanie's involvement"?

Stephen: (Sighs) The animal who violated your sister-- Stephanie told him where the key to her house was, and on top of that, I just found out that Eric Forrester has been seducing Donna for weeks. So for somebody who's taking great care of his sisters, you seem to be falling a bit short.

Storm: You know what? Brooke would have told me that when she was ready. Donna, too. Now why don't you just get the hell out of my sight?

Stephen: Oh, you would love that, wouldn't you? And then you could run back to your sisters and say, "Look, he's done it to you again," except I didn't abandon my family in the first place. It was you who told me to leave, except they don't know that because I let them believe it was my decision so they wouldn't hate their brother for ripping this family apart.

Storm: Oh, I didn't rip this family apart, Dad. You didn't want it badly enough to fight for it.

Stephen: You're wrong. You are so wrong, but I'll be damned if I'm gonna let you chase me away again, not as long as Stephanie Forrester is still around.

Storm: Yeah, well, you've gone after her before. We all know how that turned out.

Stephen: Well, I'm a different man than I was then.

Storm: (Scoffs)

Stephen: And whatever it takes to protect my girls, I'll do it.

Storm: Well, let me help you with that. Go ahead and use this.

Stephen: What are you doing with that?

Storm: Oh, Stephanie gave it to Brooke a while back, told her to shoot herself with it.

Stephen: What kind of sick mind would give a gun to somebody and urge them to commit suicide? And what are you doing with it? This thing should be locked up, or Stephanie should be locked up. She is the enemy here, storm, not me. And for all your talk about protecting your sisters, she is still out there terrorizing our family. I would like to use this on Stephanie Forrester.

Katie: Brooke, I-- what the hell is going on in here? Have you two lost your minds? Put that away. Waving a gun in front of my-- God, put it away. Put it in here. (Sighs) Okay, what is going on?

Storm: Well, let's see. Where should I start? We were just arguing about the fact that this man has no place in our lives and that I'd wish to hell he'd leave and never come back.

Eric: You're trembling.

Donna: (Sighs) (trembles) The things you said to my father...

Eric: They weren't said for effect, you know. I'll say 'em to you right now. I'm so in love with you.

Donna: (Sobs)

Donna: (Whimpers)

Eric: Now... no more. Hmm?

Eric: I designed this for you.

Donna: (Gasps) It's breathtaking.

Eric: Well, this is the showstopper, and you were my inspiration, which everybody is going to know when they see you in it tomorrow.

Donna: You-- you want me to wear it?

Eric: Yes. I want to have you on my arm at the end of the runway tomorrow. I want us to be hand in hand, and I want to look in your eyes, and I want to see what I see now-- that you love me.

Donna: (Sobs)

Eric: And I want everyone to see what a man who has finally found happiness actually looks like. I have lived without real happiness for a very long time, and I'm not gonna do it anymore, and you've given that to me. And there is no more wonderful gift...

Donna: (Sighs)

Eric: That anyone could give anyone else.
