Brooke: Please, don't go to Stephanie. Do you hear me? I didn't want you to know.
Nick: It's okay. It's okay.
Brooke: It's over, Nick.
Nick: No, Brooke, it's not over. She will be held accountable for what she did. I promise you that.
Eric: I cannot remember when I've been this excited about a fashion show.
Thorne: It's going to be great.
Felicia: This new ad campaign should really pack 'em in.
Eric: Well, I'm glad you liked it. Your mother laughed at it. She called it "idiotic."
Felicia: Her taste can't be that bad. With all the men in the world, she chose you.
Eric: Well, I can see I shouldn't have brought up your mother.
Felicia: Unh-unh. If you hadn't, we would have.
Eric: All right, let's just focus on work, all right?
Thorne: I agree. This is gonna be a great moment for our family. Don't bring Donna into it.
Stephanie: My husband would never jeopardize the reputation of this company by walking down our runway with a little tart like you on his arm.
Donna: A fashion designer with a beautiful woman on his side. Ha! Imagine the outrage.
Stephanie: (Chuckles) he'd be the laughingstock of this town, and he knows it.
Donna: No, Eric's days of being laughed at stopped when he tossed you aside.
Stephanie: So you honestly think that I'm out of his life?
Donna: Well, if he doesn't divorce you, Nick will reclaim the company.
Stephanie: Honey, Nick doesn't want this company, and he has never really wanted to be in the fashion industry, so I'm not the least bit concerned about Nick.
Donna: Yeah, don't be so sure, bitch. (Gasps) did I say that?
Brooke: Please, just come back in here, and let's talk about this rationally. (Sighs) I don't even know why Donna told you what happened.
Nick: Because she wants Stephanie held accountable, and so do I.
Brooke: And she is. She admitted to telling Andy Johnson where to find me, and she said that she was responsible. She even came over here to beg for my forgiveness.
Nick: She came here?
Nick: This is getting nuttier by the minute. Tell me, you two kissed and made up.
Brooke: No, but I do understand how difficult it would be for her to ask.
Nick: Well, I don't understand. In fact, I don't understand a lot of things.
Brooke: Nick, please, I just want to put this behind me. I have my children back, and she is not going to oppose my relationship with Ridge.
Nick: So it's just a perfect little world again, isn't it? Your children, Ridge... she convinces you everything's okay by telling you she's sorry.
Brooke: Honestly, I don't even want to think about it anymore. So please, just let it go.
Eric: If it weren't for Donna, there wouldn't even be a showing. Listen, you two, when I found out what your mother did, it changed my relationship with her forever. It pulled the rug right out from under me, and I would still be in a heap someplace if it weren't for Donna, if she hadn't picked me up and helped me look forward.
Felicia: I don't have to ask looking forward to what?
Thorne: Okay, let me tell you what I'm thinking about the fashion show, okay? Then we can discuss Donna's involvement.
Thorne: All right, at the end of the runway, I see a riser. After the finale, you come down, surrounded by the models. You pause, then you reach your hand out for mother.
Eric: No, Thorne.
Felicia: Wh--it's the message we want to send.
Eric: (Exhales deeply) your mother cannot be involved, all right, under the deal I made to get this company back. This place is off-limits to her.
Thorne: Tell me you're joking.
Felicia: Was Donna involved in this deal, too? Why am I asking? Of course she was. Daddy, come on. You know what she did to Thorne. Don't let her make a fool of you, too.
Stephanie: Donna, Donna, Donna, I think you're delusional. You believe that Eric is indebted to you and that nick is going to do your every bidding? Is that what you really think?
Donna: There are a lot of people who'd like to see you get what you deserve.
Stephanie: Well, you're not gonna be the one that serves it up. And this company will be returned to me.
Donna: Not this time. Eric's changed.
Stephanie: Oh, I see. Because of you?
Donna: He's himself again.
Stephanie: Donna... (sighs heavily) you haven't a clue as to what and who Eric Forrester really is.
Donna: I know he's happy.
Stephanie: There's no doubt in my mind you can put a smile on any man's face. But beyond that, darling, just tell him I stopped by.
Donna: I'm not his secretary. I'm his lover.
Stephanie: Ahh! Well, too bad the former rather than the latter has much more job security.
Donna: He's not coming back to you, Stephanie.
Stephanie: Stay away from my husband, Donna.
Donna: Or what? You'll send someone after me, too? Some people may be intimidated by you, Stephanie, but not me.
Donna: And not Nick Marone. I can't wait till he gets his hands on you.
Nick: Brooke, there have to be consequences for this.
Brooke: She was trying to keep me away from Ridge, but she failed. And now look. We're together, stronger than ever.
Nick: So that makes all of this okay?
Brooke: No, but it is a place to start. Going after Stephanie-- that is not the answer.
Nick: Well, it would make me feel better. Does that count for anything?
Brooke: Yes. But what counts more is that you're a great father to jack and a wonderful husband to Taylor. I can take of myself.
Nick: And so you've proven. And while we're on the topic of husbands and father, I have a question. Where's Forrester in all this?
Brooke: He's not gonna let Stephanie hurt me.
Nick: And how many times have I heard that before? (Inhales sharply) I know you want to get this out of your mind, but I can't do that. You say she's sorry. I'd just like to see that with my own eyes. And if you're right, I'll drop it. I just want to talk to her, that's all.
Brooke: (Sighs) are you sure?
Nick: I'm sure.
Brooke: Okay, if that's what you feel you need to do.
Nick: Thanks. Don't keep things from me. You can tell me anything. And there's nothing-- nothing I wouldn't do for you. . .
Felicia: Daddy, come on.
Eric: Look, I'm not gonna stay in this room and be called a fool by my own children. I wanted this company back. And the deal I made, the terms to which I agreed, I did it. Donna did not twist my arm.
Felicia: What'd she twist?
Eric: Oh, come on, Felicia.
Thorne: Look, Dad, no one understands what you're going through better than I do.
Eric: No, you don't.
Felicia: What do you mean? Donna was all set to marry Thorne just to get revenge on mom.
Eric: How is it that the two of you know better what's going on in my life than I do?
Felicia: Daddy, come on, this is just wrong. You and mom-- I mean, look at your history...
Eric: (Sighs heavily)
Felicia: The memories. How can you turn your back on that? How can you throw that away?
Thorne: Please tell us you haven't made that decision?
Eric: I haven't, Thorne. I haven't.
Felicia: So then... there's hope for our family then?
Eric: Felicia, this-- this isn't easy for me.
Thorne: It shouldn't be. How many years of marriage? To give it up for--
Eric: Oh, for Donna? You can't believe that Donna would actually care for me?
Felicia: (Scoffs) what's not to care for? You're rich and handsome and powerful and rich. So do I think she loves you from the depths of her heart and soul?
Eric: Do you think your mother has those kinds of feelings for me?
Thorne: You're talking about apples and oranges.
Eric: Yeah, not exactly, Thorne.
Thorne: You know what I mean.
Felicia: (Sighs) how can you not see what Donna's doing?
Eric: Look, how can you not see what Donna is doing for me? Look, I'm a happy man these days. Do you see that? I whistle while I work. I've got a smile on my face from--from day to night. I feel wonderful. I feel like a brilliant designer.
Felicia: You are a brilliant designer.
Eric: Well, then why haven't I felt like one for the last 20 years or so? You know, now I feel like somebody that other people would like to know. I feel like somebody who's worth knowing. I feel like somebody who's worth loving. And you know what else? I'm actually happy. Now look, I know the two of you don't approve of my relationship with Donna. I get that. I even accept it. I can't expect you to. But if you can't see the benefits that she has brought to me, if you can't see how wonderful it is to have a father who's his own man, then we don't have anything else to talk about.
Thorne: (Sighs heavily) Dad, the thing is Forrester Creations is our family business, and this is our triumphant return. It--it doesn't seem right without mother, dad.
Eric: Well, it's different now. This is my company now. I bought this company back.
Thorne: Okay, then. Then you take all the glory. If you don't to share the--the spotlight with mother, then don't share it with anyone.
Eric: Thorne, I owe Donna a huge amount of gratitude. If it hadn't been for her, I'd just be holed up someplace not doing anything. But because of her, I'm energized. I'm so excited about this. I'm--it's--it's the most-- it's the most exciting fashion show we've had in years.
Felicia: I love your confidence, Daddy. You do seem like a different man.
Thorne: And that's who you want to show to the world, Dad-- the new-and-improved Eric Forrester.
Eric: Look, I have never been one to--to take the spotlight on my own.
Felicia: You know what? You're right. This is your show. It's your decision. But if you bring Donna Logan up on that runway, nobody is gonna be talking about your designs the next day.
Eric: I-I-it hadn't even occurred to me to bring Donna up on the runway. I hadn't thought of that at all.
Felicia: Oh, Daddy, come on, you know what I mean? Just please, god, keep her under wraps.
Eric: Well, maybe I can't. Maybe I don't want to.
Thorne: Look, if you want to keep mom away from the fashion show, fine. But why do you have to show the world Donna? I mean, what is the rush? If you think this relationship is going to last...
Eric: Listen, both of you, there will always be an enormous connection between your mother and me. It's never gonna go away. She is unique in all the world. But I have lived my life for decades for her and for--and for our family and--and for our business and for the reputation of Forrester Creations. Do you know how exhausting it is to live like that?
Felicia: Please, don't rush into anything, Daddy.
Eric: This fashion show is gonna be a reemergence for me. When that happens, I'll make a decision about who I'm gonna spend the rest of my life with.
Brooke: How could you?
Brooke: Telling Nick that Stephanie was Andy's accomplice. Why would you do that?
Donna: I did it for you.
Brooke: Donna, I just want to get over this.
Donna: Seeing Stephanie pay should help.
Brooke: Well, you got Nick all riled up.
Donna: Where is he?
Brooke: He was just here.
Donna: Did he say where he was going?
Brooke: You know damn well where he was going. Dammit, Donna. You got nick all riled up so he would go after Stephanie.
Donna: Oh, please, he's not gonna hurt her.
Brooke: How do you know that? I mean, I want to believe that he could control himself, but what if he can't? What if things get out of hand? I mean, god only knows what could happen.
Stephanie: Oh, my god!
Nick: Scare ya?
Stephanie: What the-- how the hell did you get in my room?
Nick: I found your key under the flowerpot.
Stephanie: (Sighs heavily)
Donna: You're overreacting.
Brooke: (Sighs) you had no right to tell nick things that I didn't want him to know.
Donna: Ridge knows. Eric knows.
Brooke: Donna, I didn't tell them. I didn't even tell my children. I wasn't going to tell Nick.
Donna: But he cares about you, Brooke.
Brooke: And I care about him, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna drag him into this.
Donna: But he's the only one who's been able to hold Stephanie's feet to the fire.
Brooke: Stop it. No more violence.
Donna: I wasn't being literal.
Brooke: But you were being vindictive. You wanted Stephanie to get hers, so you sent Nick after her.
Donna: Yes, I want Stephanie to pay for what she did to you, and I-I want her to suffer. But mostly, I just want her out of our lives.
Brooke: What does that mean?
Donna: Look, in a condo in Palm Springs or a-a-a cruise around the world, anywhere but here. It's the only way we're ever gonna get any peace.
Brooke: For you and Eric?
Donna: And you and Ridge.
Brooke: Well, Stephanie's already accepted our relationship.
Donna: Yeah, yeah, she's dangling that moldy old carrot again. She ended the last cease-fire by--by trying to take your kids away. And she didn't pay for that either, Brooke. I mean, Stephanie does these horrible things. She apologizes, and all's forgotten. Well, not this time. Something's gonna be done.
Brooke: Nick went to talk to her. (Sighs heavily) I asked him to leave her alone, and he just couldn't.
Donna: You let him go?
Brooke: He wouldn't drop it. And all I want to do is just forget about it. I-I want to forget about what Stephanie did. I want to forget about what she deserves. I just don't want to think about it, Donna.
Donna: Brooke, your family is gonna help you through this.
Brooke: If I ask for their help.
Brooke: I appreciate that you're trying to protect me, but this is my life, and I don't want to be a part of your vendetta against Stephanie. So just... leave me out of it.
Donna: (Sighs) (cell phone rings)
Donna: Daddy, it's me.
Stephen: Donna. What a nice surprise. How are you?
Donna: Well, I've been better. (Sighs)
Stephen: What's going on?
Donna: (Scoffs) Oh, boy, I mean, so much has happened since I've seen you. (Exhales deeply)
Stephen: Are you in some kind of trouble?
Donna: No, it's not me. It's Brooke. (Sighs)
Stephen: Well, what about her?
Donna: Well... (sighs heavily) something really terrible happened.
Stephen: She's hurt? An accident? What?
Donna: Look, it's a long story. I don't really want to get into on the phone, but she needs a lot of support right now. Is there any way you could come to L.A.?
Stephen: Well, of course.
Donna: Really? Okay. That's wonderful.
Stephen: I'll be on the next plane.
Donna: It'll be nice to have the Logans together again.
Stephen: Yes. I've missed my family, honey.
Donna: I knew I could count on you.
Stephen: I'll be there as soon as I can.
Donna: Oh, please, don't be upset, Brooke. Somebody has to protect you from Stephanie.
Nick: I thought maybe we'd have a little talk. I have a few questions for ya.
Stephanie: I'd appreciate it if you'd just leave, Nick.
Nick: Want to sit down?
Stephanie: No. Now don't make me call hotel security.
Nick: I'd rather you call the cops. I'd love to tell 'em why I'm here.
Stephanie: Are you sure? I think that breaking and entering is still a felony.
Nick: So is conspiracy to commit rape.
Stephanie: I see. (Sighs) so Brooke's told you everything?
Nick: She wants to put it out of her mind. She wants to move on. That's what she needs to do. I, on the other hand, have other plans.
Stephanie: I'm sure. (Chuckles) so you've decided to ride to her rescue again. You know, that's part of the problem. You and Ridge and Eric have treated her like a victim for so long. She doesn't know how to react any other way.
Nick: She is a victim... of rape at your hands.
Stephanie: That was never my intention. Brooke knows that. I have apolog -- what the hell? I don't owe you any kind of an explanation. I thought you were still a married man with a brand-new baby. Don't you think it's time for you to go home to your family?
Nick: You know, I've been very patient with you, but if you ever hurt Brooke again, I'll kill you.
