Brooke: You're sorry?

Stephanie: I'm so sorry, Brooke, please.

Brooke: Oh, save it, Stephanie. You're only sorry because Eric and Ridge can't stand the sight of you, and neither can I.

Stephanie: If you'd just let me explain.

Brooke: Get out. Get out of my house! I don't want you anywhere near me.

Thorne: (Sighs)

Katie: Are you okay? Because you haven't said anything since we dropped Aly off.

Thorne: Yeah, I just-- I just can't stop thinking about my father. I mean, what could my mother possibly have done to justify him and... (Scoffs)

Katie: Donna?

Thorne: (Sighs) I-I don't get it. I really don't. I mean, I get it. Obviously, she put herself out there, but it's--it's the way that he defends her. I mean, he puts her on a pedestal. Meanwhile, years and years of marriage doesn't mean anything? And my mother-- she's gonna come back and find out that she was dumped for Donna, and what did she do to deserve that?

Katie: I guess that's really between your father and Stephanie.

Thorne: (Sighs) Has Donna said anything to you?

Katie: She doesn't really talk to me much these days, and I really shouldn't say anything anyway.

Thorne: So you do know something? Katie, tell me what it is, please. Look, I lie awake in bed at night trying to wrap my mind around the fact that Donna could be my stepmother.

Katie: Oh, God.

Thorne: So if you know something that can help me understand this mess, you gotta tell me.

Katie: (Sighs) Okay, uh, Brooke really wanted to keep this quiet.

Thorne: Brooke? What--what does this have to do with Brooke?

Katie: Well, you keep asking what was so awful that your mom could lose her marriage over it.

Thorne: And?

Katie: Thorne, Brooke was raped.

Eric: I know I insisted that you apologize to Brooke, but she's not ready. You stay the hell away from her. And call me back. I want to be sure you got this message.

Ridge: I warned Brooke that Mother was back. You don't think she went over there, do you?

Eric: Well, that was the plan last night. Look, I just got back from Brooke's, and believe me, Stephanie is the last person in the world that she wants to see right now.

Stephanie: I am not here to cause you any more pain, believe me. I had no idea what he could do to you, or what he would do to you.

Brooke: What he could do to me? It's what you did to me, Stephanie. You told him where to find the key. I'm surprised you didn't just hand it over to him yourself!

Stephanie: I can see how much pain you're in. Please, if I can help you...

Andy: Brooke, don't go. I can help you. (Echoing) I can help you. I can help you.

Brooke: Help me?

Stephanie: Yes.

Brooke: By taking my children away? You told Andy that I was vulnerable and alone. It's your fault, Stephanie, yours. That bastard never would have raped me if it weren't for you.

Katie: So this monster stalked her.

Thorne: (Sighs)

Katie: He pretended to be a messenger, brought her a gift.

Thorne: It's the same guy that spilled his drink on her at café Russe.

Katie: Yeah, same guy.

Thorne: Man, this just makes me sick to my stomach. Poor Brooke.

Katie: It's been really bad.

Thorne: (Sighs) Well, what made him decide to go after Brooke? And how did he know so much about her? And what does my mother have to do with any of this?

Katie: (Sighs) It's so ugly.

Thorne: Katie, you gotta tell me, okay? 'Cause I need to know all of it.

Katie: Your mother had his number. She called him and encouraged him to go after Brooke.

Thorne: What? What are you saying? Are you telling me that my mother is responsible for Brooke getting raped?

Stephanie: Whatever role I played in your being raped, I accept the responsibility for that. I just need you to understand it was nothing deliberate on my part.

Brooke: (Sighs) Have you ever been raped, Stephanie?

Stephanie: No, thank God.

Brooke: Well, thanks to you, I wasn't so fortunate.

Stephanie: Tell me what happened.

Brooke: And why should you care? When you heard I was raped, you probably laughed out loud. "That whore finally got what was coming to her."

Stephanie: My God, Brooke, I could never laugh at something like that.

Brooke: You have no idea-- none-- what your hatred set in motion.

Stephanie: You're right. I don't. Perhaps you need to tell me.

Ridge: Brooke needs to confide in someone, definitely not Mother.

Eric: No, absolutely not. Brooke was adamant about that. Stephanie is not to set foot on her property, now or anytime in the future.

Ridge: I spoke with Brooke's counselor. Brooke is in denial completely. She's filled with so much rage, and she refuses to acknowledge it. She won't confront it at all. She just wants to pretend it doesn't exist. When all that stuff builds up and builds up like that, it's gonna be dangerous.

Eric: For your mother, as well, because Brooke's gonna blow.

Ridge: If Mother goes over there even to apologize, God only knows how Brooke's gonna react.

Brooke: It was the night before the hearing. All I wanted to do was get some rest. I came through the front door, and my phone rang. It was Andy. He was down by the gate, and I told him to leave. Then I heard this awful chirping noise.

(Chirping)

Brooke: I thought it was the birdcage from the secret admirer, but it wasn't. It was Andy. He was there in my house. (Gasps and Pants) Andy, what are you doing here? I thought my heart was going to stop. I told him to leave, but he wouldn't. No matter how much I pleaded, he just wouldn't go. I-I don't want to think about this. I-I don't want to think about it.

Stephanie: You have to.

Brooke: Why are you doing this? Why are you making me dredge this up all over again?

Stephanie: Because I think you desperately need to talk about it.

Katie: For what it's worth, I don't think your mother ever dreamed that Brooke would be raped. I-I don't think she would ever encourage anyone to do that, but that is what happened. And it's irresponsible, at best, that she didn't check this guy out, that she didn't make sure that he was who he said he was. Now maybe you can understand why--

Thorne: Why my father's so disgusted with my mother? Oh, Brooke. I mean, I can just imagine the hell that's she's going through because of my mother. (Sighs) (Sighs heavily)

Thorne: Is there anything that I can do to help?

Katie: Brooke's in counseling, but she's struggling.

Thorne: (Laughs bitterly) Has she pressed charges?

Katie: The guy was killed in some kind of freak accident.

Thorne: (Sighs) Well, that's lucky for him 'cause I'd probably kill him myself. (Sighs)

Katie: It's lucky for my sister that she has people like you who really care about her.

Thorne: (Sighs)

Ridge: I can see this one being a real problem in the cutting room.

Eric: Yeah, the repeat's too big-- be a lot of waste.

Ridge: Great palette, though.

Eric: Well, see if they can modify the prints and keep the color balance, huh?

Ridge: All right. It doesn't seem like you like any of these lately.

Eric: I haven't. No, the f-- you know, the fabrics are fine. I just can't-- I just can't concentrate. That's all.

Ridge: I'm worried about Brooke, too.

Eric: God, I insisted that Brooke be able to confront Stephanie, and it--it never occurred to me the effect it would have on her.

Ridge: How could you have known? How could any of us have known?

Eric: Or Brooke, either, for that matter, the way it sounds.

Ridge: No, she's had her game face on for weeks. Look, Dad, even if Mother does go over there, there's no way she's gonna get in. The key's not hidden outside. She can't just keep going over there and invading Brooke's privacy anytime she wants to.

Eric: God, it's just inconceivable to me that no matter how much Stephanie despised Brooke, that she would tell a total stranger how to get in Brooke's house.

Brooke: So I finally got him out of here, and I closed the door, set the alarm and I went up to my room.

Brooke: (Screaming)

Andy: Did you miss me?

(Laughing menacingly)

Brooke: Andy. Andy. No! No.

Andy: Shh. Shh.

Brooke: (Muffled screaming)

Andy: Don't talk. Don't talk. You didn't say anything. I know you've been sitting up here just waiting for me, wearing that sexy lingerie wondering, "Where is he?" You know what they say-- anticipation is everything. (Laughs)

Brooke: Aah! Aah!

Andy: Shh.

Brooke: (Panting)

Andy: I know what you wanted. We could have had a nice night tonight.

Brooke: Andy, wait. Wait, please. Please!

Andy: No. No. No. No. I've been waiting way too long.

Brooke: Don't do it, Andy.

Andy: This is what you wanted. There's no one here.

Brooke: Aah! No!

Andy: It's just you and me, baby. It's just you and me now.

Brooke: Some--some-- somebody! Aah!

Andy: (Moans)

Brooke: (Screaming)

Andy: (Grunts)

Brooke: (Panting)

Andy: Come on.

Brooke: No, get off me. Aah! No! Somebody! Aah! (Panting) Oh. (Grunts)

Andy: (Moans)

Brooke: Oh, God. (Groans) (Panting)

Andy: You're not going anywhere.

Brooke: (Sobbing)

Andy: (Laughing)

Brooke: (Sobbing) He hurt me. He hurt me so bad. (Sobbing)

Brooke: I tried to get him to leave, and he wouldn't. He said we were just getting started. So I mustered up all the strength that I had.

(Panting)

Andy: Give it to me.

Brooke: You're sick. You are evil! You used my children to get what you wanted.

Andy: Yeah, and I'm about to do it again.

Brooke: No, you're not, Andy. You're not. I'll kill you!

Andy: That's hot. I love it.

Brooke: I will kill you.

Andy: I don't believe you will, sweetheart.

Brooke: Aah!

Andy: (Moaning) Bitch.

Brooke: You son of a bitch. Get out of my house, you son of a bitch!

Andy: (Grunts)

Brooke: Do you hear me? Aah! (Screaming) (Panting)

Brooke: (Sobbing) (Sobbing)

Brooke: (Gasps)

Katie: Look, Thorne, I'm really sorry to lay all this on you.

Thorne: There's no way you could have kept it from me. What-- what could my mother have been thinking?

Katie: I don't think she was thinking.

Thorne: I mean, this obsession with Brooke-- this has gone way too far.

Katie: I was worried that something was gonna happen, but I never, ever thought that--

Thorne: I know. I know, not in a million years. (Sighs) I-I just wonder if she's learned anything.

Katie: Even if she has, that doesn't help Brooke much.

Thorne: Now look, I'm not trying to excuse her, okay? 'Cause no one should ever, ever have to go through what Brooke has.

Katie: She's strong. She'll survive eventually. Right now, she just-- she needs to talk to someone about what she's been through. She's keeping everything inside. She hasn't been able to go there yet. I...

Thorne: Listen, I meant what I said before, okay? If there's anything that I can do...

Katie: Thank you.

Thorne: For what?

Katie: For saying that. A lot of people say they want to help, but when I hear the words come out of your mouth, you actually seem like you mean them.

Thorne: Well, I do. This, uh, conversation's getting way too depressing.

Katie: (Laughs)

Thorne: (Laughs)

Katie: I agree.

Thorne: So...

Katie: You know what they say-- there are really only three things worth talking about-- sex, politics and baseball.

Thorne: Oh, is that what they say?

Katie: There's always the weather, but we live in sunny California, so what's the point of that?

Thorne: True. So...

Katie: So how about those dodgers?

Thorne: So you're a baseball fan?

Katie: I like a good game every now and then. Besides, it's--it's un-American not to like baseball. It's in the constitution somewhere, right?

Thorne: Uh-oh, politics.

Katie: (Laughing) Uh-oh. We probably shouldn't talk about that.

Thorne: Yeah.

Katie: (Giggles)

Thorne: You know, we're trying very hard to talk about nothing.

Katie: Well, we don't have to talk at all.

Thorne: You know, you're very sweet.

Katie: (Laughs) Sweet, huh? What makes me think that you've never used that word to describe either one of my sisters?

Thorne: (Chuckles) It's not a bad word.

Katie: Not coming out of your mouth, no.

Thorne: (Laughs) Brooke is a wonderful woman, but she's--she's a handful. And Donna-- well, don't even get me started on her.

Katie: I'm surprised after what you've been through with both of them that you're not showing me the door and telling me never to come back.

Thorne: Well, what is it they say? Third time's a charm.

Katie: They have been quoted an awful lot today.

Thorne: (Chuckles)

Katie: A charm-- hmm. What do you think? Good luck or bad?

Thorne: I think you, Katie Logan, could very good luck for me.

Katie: Well, Mr. Forrester, I will try very hard to live up to that lovely prediction. (Laughs)

Thorne: Mm.

Eric: The fallout from this rape-- is it--is it just emotional?

Ridge: I'm not sure what you mean.

Eric: Well, Brooke spent the night in the hospital. Did you know that? I mean, she had a procedure last night. So she spent the night there, and now she's taking the day off work, so...

Ridge: Dad, it's not what you're thinking, and, um, it has nothing to do with what happened to her. She's fine, but that's all I can say about it right now.

Eric: All right. Look, I admire the way you've stood by Brooke through this whole thing.

Ridge: Are you wondering if Brooke and I are getting closer again?

Eric: Yes. I'm mildly curious, yes.

Ridge: Well, Ashley's more than mildly curious.

Eric: Well, is it just the loyalty to the mother of your boy, or--or are you and Brooke finding your way back to each other?

Ridge: I wish I could answer that. Um... look, never mind. I-I suggest we give Mother's cell another call 'cause I'd feel better if I knew where she was.

Brooke: He said that I wanted it.

Stephanie: Oh.

Brooke: And I didn't. I didn't. I'm not a whore.

Stephanie: Of course, you're not. Don't even say something like that. Don't even go there. That's not your fault. Don't you see? I know that. I see that now. All these years that I've been so unfair to you--I'm so sorry. All the vicious things I said-- you're none of those things, Brooke. You're a good woman.

Brooke: (Sobbing) I tried.

Stephanie: Why couldn't I just see that?

Brooke: I fought so hard to get away, and I couldn't.

Stephanie: I know you did. Of course, you did. I believe that.

Brooke: I-I did. I did.

Stephanie: Of course, and it's not your fault. You didn't deserve this. You didn't deserve this. No woman deserves something like this. It's not your fault that this happened. It's mine. It's all my fault. I brought this on with my hatred, and I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.
