Donna: Sis, don't leave me hanging. So you gave Ridge the special photo album you made him, and...

Brooke: And how could he not help but get caught up in all of the wonderful memories that we've shared?

Donna: Oh, my God. Are you telling me Ridge didn't go home last night?

Brooke: No, that's not what I'm saying, but...

Donna: But he could barely tear himself away, which hardly sounds like a man on the verge of marrying another woman.

Brooke: He is committed to Ashley. I just can't help believing that somehow there could be another chance for us.

Donna: Well, for your sake, your family's sake, I hope you get that chance.

Brooke: Thanks. We'd better go to Taylor's baby shower. Do you want to drive together?

Donna: Oh, you know, um, I have to talk to Katie first. She left me a message, and it sounded like she had a bee in her bonnet.

Brooke: Oh.

Donna: Yeah, like that's anything new. So I'll meet you there, okay?

Brooke: Yeah, sounds great.

Donna: Okay.

Brooke: Mwah. Love you.

Donna: Love you.

Brooke: Okay.

Donna: (Laughs) Oh, and, sis?

Brooke: Hmm?

Donna: The photo album-- nice touch. (Laughs)

Ridge: Oh, I can't believe I slept this late.

Ashley: What's this?

Ridge: Oh, Brooke gave that to me.

Ashley: Of course she did. So you went there to resolve things, and you ended up reminiscing?

Ridge: I think that album was Brooke's way of saying good-bye.

Ashley: Right. Please don't insult my intelligence.

Ridge: You think that was inappropriate?

Ashley: Yeah, Ridge, I think it was inappropriate to accept this, given the fact that you're marrying me, and I think it was really insensitive of you. I mean, I've been more than understanding, but this? Uh, I got you something, too. (Sniffles) I mean, it's just one little photo that doesn't begin to compare with an entire album.

Ridge: (Sighs)

Ashley: I've had it. Enough is enough.

Nick: Careful.

Taylor: Oh, come on. Are you sure I can't persuade you just to come in for a little bit?

Nick: No. No. No. No. No, I, uh-- I don't want to have anything to do with what you wild women do at these showers or whatever you do.

Taylor: Oh... (scoffs) what, a bunch of silly games and watercress sandwiches?

Nick: Mm-hmm. Love you. Love you, too, slugger. Okay, have fun.

Taylor: Okay. Bye.

Bridget: Hey.

Nick: Bridget, listen, uh, I need to talk to you in private...

Bridget: Um, okay.

Nick: Please.

Taylor: Wow. What... this place looks beautiful.

Jackie: Oh, thank you. Welcome, Taylor. Welcome.

Felicia: I'm so glad you like it.

Taylor: Felicia, when you told me you were giving me a baby shower, I didn't imagine you would go through this kind of trouble. I mean...

Felicia: Yeah, I can't take all the credit. Jackie helped, too.

Jackie: Oh, there's nothing that I wouldn't do for the woman that's going to give my son the child that he's always wanted. Thank you. Thank you, Taylor.

Nick: I want to talk about this new procedure.

Bridget: Did you change your mind? Do you want to find out who the mother is before the baby's born?

Nick: All I want to know is if this procedure can be done without Taylor knowing what it's for.

Bridget: No.

Nick: Well, then it's a nonissue. That kid is mine and Taylor's, no matter who the donor egg is from. Case closed.

Katie: (Sighs)

Donna: Hey, sis?

Katie: I can't even look at you. What you're doing is disgusting. You're disgusting.

Ridge: I'm very sorry. You're right. You're absolutely right. It was very insensitive of me to accept that album, much less bring it here. But, Ashley, nothing happened. We looked at some old pictures. We reminisced.

Ashley: But you didn't go there to relive your romance with Brooke through a lot of old photos. (Sighs) look, I can't go through with this wedding if you are drawn to Brooke in any way for whatever reason. I'm not gonna do that to myself, and I'm damn sure not gonna do that to my little girl. She's been through so much already. (Voice breaking) so have I. (Normal voice) I want this marriage to be my last, but you have to want that, too.

Ridge: Sounds like this is leading to an ultimatum.

Ashley: (Sighs) you know that I'm going to Paris after Taylor's shower, right? On business? (Sniffles) I really need you to take the time to think about what you want-- about who you want.

Ridge: I want you, Ashley.

Ashley: If you really want to share your life with me, then you have to tell Brooke once and for all. I mean, I thought that's what last night was all about, but you know, here we are again. Look, um, I love you, and I don't want to lose you. But I would be such a fool if I walked down that aisle thinking that Brooke was no longer a factor, just to find out the next day or the next week... (voice cracking) that she is, and she always will be. (Normal voice) I can't stand that kind of pain anymore in my life. I-I don't want it for you, and I certainly don't want it for me.

Ridge: Ashley, I love you. You. I will deal with Brooke once and for all, okay?

Katie: (Sighs) are you still here?

Donna: Katie, why are you upset this time?

Katie: What could you possibly be thinking? Seducing Eric Forrester?

Donna: Oh, that is not what I'm doing.

Katie: First, the son, then the father? I mean, God, the man's marriage is in crisis, and you're taking advantage.

Donna: Yeah, but that's not what I'm doing. I care for him.

Katie: Oh, please! You're sleeping with him, aren't you?

Donna: (Scoffs)

Katie: Well, I guess that's a stupid question. God, Donna, what's happened to you? How can you think so little of yourself?

Donna: (Scoffs)

Bridget: Nick, I-I know that you're resolved to loving this child no matter who the mother is. Of course you are. But have you thought about-- what--what about my mom? Have you thought about how this would impact her? What if she found out that she was the mother of your child, Nick? Or what about you, how this would affect you if you found out that your-- your baby's mom is Brooke?

Nick: Taylor's the mother of this child. That's what I believe, and that's how it's gonna be.

Felicia: So you still don't know if it's a boy or a girl?

Taylor: Uh, no, we want to be surprised when the baby comes, but Nick is pretty sure that it's a boy. That's all we hear about.

Phoebe: Well, I'm pretty sure it's a girl, so there.

Jackie: Well, we're going to find out soon enough, aren't we? The baby's due in three weeks.

Ashley: Hi. I'm so sorry I'm late. I am late, right?

Felicia: Hey, bet my big brother had something to do with that, right?

Ashley: Felicia.

Brooke: I saw Ashley driving away. I thought it would be okay.

Ridge: Brooke, what the hell are you doing here?

Brooke: Oh, Ridge, I'm sorry. Don't be upset. I just wanted to come over and thank you for last night. I slept better than I have since the rape, and that's because of you, all because of you. .

(Acoustic guitar playing)

Donna: Don't you dare judge me, little sis.

Katie: I am trying not to, but you're leaving yourself wide open. This can't bring anything but heartache to everyone involved. Thorne is beside himself.

Donna: And that's who you're really worried about, huh?

Katie: Excuse me?

Donna: Oh, my God. How did I not see this? You have-- you have a crush on him. That's why you broke up my wedding.

Katie: I was honest with Thorne when you wouldn't be.

Donna: Yeah. You were honest. Fine. I'll be honest now, too. I'm not using Eric. What we have is real.

Katie: Oh, my God. You really think he's going to marry you. Could you be more delusional?

Phoebe: Where's grandma? I thought she'd definitely be here for mom's shower.

(Door closes)

Bridget: Hello, everyone. Wow, these presents!

Taylor: Bridget, I'm so glad you made it. I thought you might get held up at the hospital.

Bridget: No! Are you kidding me? And miss your reaction when you open my fabulous gift? I don't think so.

Taylor: Oh, let me have that.

Bridget: You guys, Jackie, Felicia, this is-- look at the balloons! You guys have outdone yourselves.

Felicia: I know! Hell, I'm so good at the shower thing maybe I'll throw this one a wedding shower. How about it, ash?

Jackie: What a brilliant idea--we should set a date.

Brooke: Since when did you get so modest?

Ridge: Logan, you shouldn't be here. Come on, let's go downstairs.

Brooke: The photo album. You were looking at it?

Ridge: Ashley was. She thinks I should return it.

Brooke: She's upset that I gave it to you?

Ridge: Those pictures aren't exactly of us as a family, Logan.

Brooke: Which I should have been more sensitive to, knowing how it might appear to Ashley.

Ridge: Are you sure you didn't do this on purpose, just to kinda cause a little friction here?

Brooke: Is that what you think? Because if it is, no, I didn't do that on purpose. I mean, making this photo album wasn't some sort of ploy. If anything, it was kind of therapy, making me look at the things that are very important in my life, a life that I want back, that I need back after what happened.

Ridge: Brooke, listen to me. Going back to something safe and familiar is totally understandable given what you've been through. And if things hadn't turned out the way they did-- if Ashley hadn't come into my life... but she did. We fell in love. We're getting married. What you and I have can never be the way it was again.

Brooke: Ashley gave you an ultimatum, didn't she?

Ridge: This is her life, too, and her little girl's. I think they have a right to know that I'm committed to a future with them and that what you and I shared is completely and totally behind me forever.

Brooke: Can you really do that?

Ridge: Yes.

Brooke: Even though there's still feelings between us.

Ridge: Brooke, will you stop? Will you just stop with this? Look, I love Ashley. I think we can have a wonderful life together. But if you just keep holding on like this-- Logan, you've got to let go. For everybody's sake, here, let me go.

Donna: Delusional? Look, this is my life, Katie, and I will live it how I damn well please.

Katie: Yeah, that's right. That's right. There it is--the Logan mantra. "I will live my life however I damn well please. It doesn't matter who gets in the way. It doesn't matter who gets hurt." Do you have any idea what it's like growing up with you and Brooke? Having to constantly make excuses for you? Having to slap a smile on my face while people whisper behind my back and judge me for your stupid and selfish actions? I have lived with it my entire life, and I am sick of it.

Donna: So Brooke and I embarrass you? Let me give you a little piece of advice, sis. You stop being so holier-than-thou and maybe you might have some fun for a change. You do remember what that's like, right? And as for Eric and me, I have no intentions of backing away. Yeah, he's older. And, yeah, you know what? It's unconventional. But when we're together, it feels so right.

Katie: And that just makes everything okay.

Donna: You know, I am through with being lectured to. I wasn't exactly looking forward to Taylor's baby shower, but it's a hell of a lot better than being scolded by you, miss saint-in-training.

Katie: You're actually going to that? Do you really think that Felicia would have invited you if she'd known that you're sleeping with her father?

Donna: Oh, come on. Felicia Forrester is no nun. I mean, she has done things that make even me blush. But you know what? I'm not about to judge, 'cause someday she could be my stepdaughter.

Jackie: Just as long as the name doesn't sound sort of too foreign, because then nobody can ever pronounce them.

Taylor: Oh, my God.

Bridget: Well, that's true.

Felicia: So you're off to Paris, eh?

Ashley: Yup. Right after the shower.

Felicia: On business, you said.

Ashley: Yeah.

Felicia: Alone?

Ashley: Ridge isn't coming, if that's what you're asking me, Felicia.

Felicia: You sure? You sure you two aren't gonna sneak off and elope?

Ashley: Gee, it's getting kinda late. I wonder when Taylor's gonna open the rest of her presents.

Felicia: Well, I... I thought I should wait till all the guests arrive.

Ashley: You mean they haven't?

Felicia: No, I invited, uh, Donna and Brooke.

Ashley: You invited Brooke?

Felicia: Yeah. I-I don't even know where she could be.

Ashley: Well, I know where she better not be.

Brooke: I can't keep complicating your life this way. I see what it's doing to you, and I have to stop. But how can I do that when I believe with every breath that I take that it's not over for us.

Ridge: No, Logan. It's not over. That's what I keep trying to get through to you. We're always gonna have a relationship-- as R.J.'s parents, after everything we've shared all these years.

Brooke: But that's all that it will be. I mean, anything else--

Ridge: I'm committed to Ashley. She and I are good together. And don't tell me again, "So are we."

Ridge: Logan, I want you to be happy, too. You've been through hell and back the last few weeks.

Brooke: But I've survived it, Ridge, because of you-- because you helped me. Now I really believe that you're the only man I will ever want, but if you say that Ashley is that special, and she's the one for you, well, then, I... (sighs)

Ridge: You'll give us your blessing?

Brooke: (Laughs) uh, I was gonna say something different. I was gonna say I will be the good ex-wife, and I will put a smile on my face, even though you'll probably see right through it. But if that's the role that you need me to play, then that's what I'll do. I'll be the former wife who doesn't cause any trouble. Because I don't want to give you one more moment of heartache.

Ridge: (Sighs) oh, Logan. Logan, Logan, Logan.
