Brooke: (Trembling) What-- what's happening to me?
Ashley: Just think, when we get married, we get to have these every single day.
Ridge: And every single night and every single morning and afternoon.
Ashley: Mm. However, if we're gonna ever get these invitations out, we have to decide where we're going to be married, Ridge. You know, I thought of something. If all the places we like are booked, we could always get married at your parents', right?
Ridge: I thought you had your heart set on that little chapel that you and Abby go to, the one on Stone Canyon Road.
Ashley: Your mother's not even on this guest list. You can't forgive her for the custody battle?
Ridge: My mother's done a lot of unforgivable things lately.
Ashley: I'm sorry.
Ridge: It's got nothing to do with you.
Ashley: It does so if it affects my soon-to-be husband. What are you doing?
Ridge: Measuring you.
Ashley: Where's your measuring tape?
Ridge: Bing. Bing. Bing. Bing. Bing.
Ashley: (Gasps) I don't know if I should be impressed by that or very dismayed by that.
Ridge: What you need to be is honored. You are the last woman that I'm ever going to measure this way.
Ashley: Ohh, good answer.
Ridge: I got a million of 'em.
Ashley: (Laughs) I know you do. Mm. Mm.
Ashley: You, however, are so horrible for my productivity.
Ashley: I have got a half a dozen reports. I'm gonna be up all night long trying to do them if I don't get away from you.
Ridge: Oh, yeah. Yeah. I was thinking more about dinner.
Ashley: Oh, I can't. But how about if I buy you a really nice lunch tomorrow to make up for it?
Ashley: A really expensive lunch?
Ridge: Um, okay.
Ashley: Okay. Okay. Mm. I'll call you in the morning, all right?
Ridge: I miss you already.
Ashley: I know. I love you.
Ridge: I love you.
(Cell phone rings)
Ridge: Ridge Forrester.
Brooke: (Breathlessly) he was here.
Brooke: (Normal voice) he was here in the room.
Ridge: Logan, Andy's dead.
Brooke: No, I know. I know. I don't know what's happening. Ridge, I'm so scared.
Ridge: Is R.J. okay? Where are you?
Brooke: I'm in the cabin, and R.J.'s outside with his friends. And I-I just don't know what to do.
Ridge: Stay there. Stay there, Logan. I'm on my way.
Jackie: You're sure about this, Nicky? Selling Forrester Creations back to Eric? I mean, it is a very generous offer.
Nick: Taking this company over was never about money, mother.
Jackie: Oh, I know that. You wanted to make Stephanie pay for what she did to me, and you succeeded. Eric's contemplating divorce.
Nick: That's the only way this deal's gonna go down. I want a guarantee that Stephanie has nothing ever to do with Forrester Creations. (Door opens)
Donna: Eric Forrester to see you.
Eric: Jackie. Nick.
Nick: Eric, you look like a man who's made a decision.
Eric: I have.
Nick: Well, what's it gonna be? Prestige? Power? The right to make your own decision? Or Stephanie?
Eric: This is anything but a simple decision, Nick.
Nick: Not from where I stand.
Eric: Look, we all know how you feel about Stephanie. I get that.
Nick: (Scoffs) please. You're the one who's had to live with her.
Jackie: All that can change for the better starting tonight. I'm talking about your future, Eric.
Donna: I'm sure he knows what's at stake, Jackie.
Nick: For the record, I'm not conceding anything here.
Eric: No, no, of course not.
Nick: Forrester Creations hit a little rough spot, but I could turn this company around if I so choose.
Eric: Let's not debate your ability to survive in the fashion industry. An offer's been made and accepted.
Nick: On one condition-- you end your marriage to Stephanie. I never want her setting foot inside this building again. Now we got a deal, or not?
Eric: You stole my company, nick. You took advantage of a terrible accident. You blackmailed me. You blackmailed my family.
Nick: That's not how I remember it.
Eric: Well, that's the way it happened. You and I both know it.
Jackie: Please, you were just both defending women that you love, and I think that was very noble, but it all is in the past.
Donna: Jackie is right. This is a win-win for everyone. Don't let this opportunity pass us by.
Nick: Ball's in your court, Eric.
Eric: I accept. I'll buy back Forrester Creations at the same price that you paid me for it.
Nick: And end your marriage to Stephanie?
Eric: She will never have a place in this company. I promise you that.
(Car door opens and closes)
Brooke: (Whispers) it's not him. (Panicked voice) no, this isn't happening. No, you're not real. You're not real. No. No, go away! Go away!
Ridge: It's me. It's me.
Brooke: Oh. Oh, Ridge.
Ridge: You're okay. You're okay.
Ridge: (Soothingly) you're okay.
Brooke: Ridge, thank god. I saw him, Ridge. I saw him right here in this very room.
Ridge: There's nobody here. There's nobody here now.
Brooke: Yeah, he's haunting me.
Ridge: Shh. You're all right. You're all right. You're all right.
Brooke: I'm so scared. I'm so scared. He's gone. But I don't why I'm so scared.
Ridge: Shh. Shh.
Nick: Eric, either you divorce Stephanie, or there's no deal.
Eric: You know, nick, that's enough with the threats, all right? No more threats here. This is a simple business transaction. It's not an opportunity for you to interfere in my personal life.
Nick: No deal.
Jackie: Oh, Nicky, wait.
Nick: Mother, he wants this company, I want that woman out.
Jackie: Well, so do I. Oh, Eric, please, I know how much you want control of Forrester Creations. I know how much this company means to you. Don't lose it because of Stephanie. Not again.
Eric: All right. I'll end my marriage to Stephanie. You have my word.
Nick: I'll have my attorneys finalize the details. Congratulations.
Eric: Thank you.
Jackie: You won't regret this, Eric.
Brooke: Why is this happening to me?
Ridge: Do you remember what the rape counselor said? When you go through a trauma like this, it's not uncommon to have nightmares and flashbacks. You're gonna be okay, Logan. It's just gonna take some time.
Brooke: I'm stronger than this, Ridge.
Ridge: You're alive. You survived. You can get through all this, but you can't-- it's just gonna take some-- some understanding, some compassion.
Brooke: Not for him.
Ridge: No, for you. Brooke, you-- you can't expect this to just happen overnight. It will take time, and you're gonna have good days and bad days.
Brooke: Yeah, sometimes, I feel like my old self again, and I can't wait for the day when all of this is just a distant memory. But right now, I-I still see him behind every door, in every corner, and I can barely move. I can barely breathe.
Ridge: (Sighs) look, you--you go to work. You take care of your kids. You come up here. You're doing fine. You just have to keep going with it. Keep going, Brooke. Don't stop. I-I'll do whatever I can to help you.
Brooke: I'm sorry. I-I really-- I shouldn't have called you, made you come up here.
Ridge: It's okay. It's okay. I'm glad you did call me.
Brooke: (Sighs) It's just that I, uh-- I don't really know anybody out there, and it would really be hard to explain the situation. And I don't want R.J.'s friends' parents thinking that I'm crazy.
Ridge: You're not crazy, okay? You're scared, and you have every right to be.
Brooke: I'm not scared now.
Ridge: Good. Then I, uh, accomplished what I set out to do by coming up here. I'd better get going.
Brooke: Do you have to?
Eric: Ah. Oh, you're still not picking up, are you? You're not answering my messages. You're not calling me, because you know how angry I am, how disappointed I am that this could happen to Brooke because of your-- your conniving is just-- look, you have responsibilities here. You have children who wonder where you are. They have no idea where you are. This is not like you. You need to call me back. Things are happening here. You and I have a lot to talk about.
Donna: Soon Nick will be out, and you'll be back right where you belong.
Eric: And so much of it I owe to you.
Donna: For believing in you? Supporting you?
Eric: (Laughs) that's a refreshing change.
Donna: (Laughs) I am so happy for you.
Eric: Oh, thank you. Thank you. This is, uh-- this is wonderful.
Donna: Yeah, I can only imagine.
Eric: Oh, it's-- and it's not just Forrester Creations the business. It's this--it's this building.
Eric: This carpet.
Eric: It--it's the corridors and the showroom and--and the sewing room. It's all of it. Every nook and cranny is--is filled with wonderful memories, all the best things that have ever happened in my life... (sighs) till now.
Donna: And now you can start over without Stephanie.
Eric: Donna, look, about my marriage...
Donna: No. No, don't tell me. You're not gonna divorce Stephanie? You lied to Nick and Jackie?
Eric: I had to get the company back. I had to, and now I have. But to so rashly divorce Stephanie, I-- look, I don't know. I don't know what the future brings. I-I don't--I don't even know if Stephanie's coming back or not.
Donna: Oh, she'll be back and expect to be matriarch of this family again.
Nick: Maybe she will, Donna. Maybe. But that doesn't mean I will accept her. (Sighs) Look, I want you to know the truth here, and the truth is this is a very confusing time for me. I don't know. I don't know where things stand with Stephanie and me. I don't know.
Donna: (Sighs) no, I understand.
Eric: You do?
Donna: You're a good, decent man, and when you make a commitment, it means something. Do I think you should divorce Stephanie? Yes. Do I have a vested interest? Absolutely. But most important, I-I want you to finally have the-- the passionate, fulfilling life you deserve.
Eric: Bringing Forrester back to its former glory?
Donna: And sharing it with a woman who appreciates everything about you.
Eric: A woman who appreciates everything about me?
Eric: Appreciation. That's left out a lot, you know? It gets left out of the-- the daily noise of life all the time. And, you-- right here, right now in this room with you, I will always appreciate everything-- everything wonderful that you've brought to my life, Donna Logan, everything.
Donna: (Laughs) (knock on door)
Ashley: Hey, there. Hello?
Ridge: You want me to stay?
Brooke: It's a lot of driving for one night-- up and back, dark mountain roads. All the bedrooms are made up.
Ridge: Um, I don't think so.
Brooke: All right.
Ridge: Hey, sport, what's going on?
Ridge: Hey, big boy.
R.J.: You changed your mind.
Ridge: Oh, yeah. What's wrong?
R.J.: There were noises.
Ridge: What kind of noises?
R.J.: Outside noises.
Brooke: Well, do you want to stay in here with me?
R.J.: And Daddy?
Brooke: Daddy's not gonna be able to.
Ridge: Here, sport, let me tell you about those noises. When I was a kid, I was scared by 'em, too. Why do you think I had grandma and grandpa build this wonderful cabin?
R.J.: You did?
Ridge: That's right. They built it extra safe for us. There are no scary noises in here at all. Okay? Let's take off your coat here and get you lying down right by this fire. You just lie down-- gonna get you to sleep. Go ahead, lie down right here. We want you all rested so you can get up early with all your friends tomorrow, okay?
R.J.: Are you staying, too?
Ridge: Shh. Your mommy and I will be right here, okay? Everything's okay.
R.J.: I'm so glad you changed your mind. Aren't you, Mommy?
Brooke: (Laughs) yes, I am, sweetheart.
Brooke: (Whispers) thank you.
