Katie: Are you gonna answer me?

Donna: You ran into Stephanie. That's where this is coming from.

Katie: No, it's coming from you. I just heard what you said-- that you can't wait to make Stephanie miserable. And what I want to know, is that the real reason why you're marrying Thorne?

Thorne: Um, I'd like to get this started as soon as possible.

Minister: That's what I like, a groom excited to meet his fate at the altar.

Bridget: Hey.

Rick: Hey, how you doin'? Um, what's goin' on with Aly?

Bridget: Oh, she's better. Her fever came down, but...

Rick: Oh, good.

Bridget: She's upstairs asleep.

Thorne: (Indistinct)

Eric: Oh, I think so, too.

Rick: Thorne.

Thorne: Hey, Rick. Thanks for comin'.

Rick: Hey, I just wanted to wish you and Donna the best of luck, man.

Felicia: That's good. They're gonna need it.

Eric: Stephanie's fit to be tied.

Thorne: If you guys don't mind, I'm gonna head into the den and collect my thoughts.

Eric: Good. We'll handle things out here.

Felicia: Maybe I should go find mother, lock her in her closet till the ceremony's over.

Eric: Maybe that's not such a bad idea. Now you know, I mean it. If she can't be supportive about all this, maybe she should just sit it out. The rest of the family will come together for Thorne.

Jackie: Are you leaving? Good. Donna and Thorne will be so relieved.

Stephanie: Oh, I see that my son's taste in wedding guests is as bad as his choice of a bride.

Jackie: Do you really think this is a pleasure for me, being here?

Stephanie: Oh, oh... yes of course. Still trying to justify stealing the company. I have a news flash. When our next collection comes out, there'll only be one Forrester brand standing, and it will be ours. Logan girls.

Donna: What you heard. What--what I said to Jackie, I was joking.

Katie: No, Donna, you weren't.

Donna: Thorne doesn't have any doubts about me. You're judging me... just like Stephanie. I can see it in your eyes. Suspicion and--and disapproval. I knew I would get it from their family, but I didn't think I'd get it from my own.

Katie: I don't disapprove of your marriage if you're doing this for the right reasons.

Donna: I tried to bring the families together, Katie. I asked Stephanie to be my matron of honor, but if she doesn't put her sword down, I can't put down mine. I mean, Brooke did, and-- and she got stabbed in the back every single time.

Katie: So this is about Brooke?

Donna: It's about all of us. Stephanie deserves to pay for what she's done. And if my marriage to Thorne makes her miserable, well, then I say good.

Katie: Stephanie doesn't believe that you love her son. Is that true? It's a simple question, Donna. Yes or no? Do you love Thorne?

Donna: Do you know how that makes me feel? My own sister having as much faith in me as Stephanie Forrester.

Katie: Oh, don't turn this around on me. Just tell me why you're marrying Thorne.

Donna: (Scoffs) why am I marrying Thorne? Why am I giving up a life of-- of waking up alone and eating alone and going to bed alone? I don't know, maybe-- maybe I'm just crazy that way-- crazy to want to be loved by a man who's never gonna hurt me, always appreciate me and treat me with respect. No, Thorne is not my type. He's better than my type. He's the best person I've ever met. (Sighs) but you know what? He says that he's the lucky one, because I have given him so much companionship and--and passion, the strength to stand up to his mother.

Katie: Love?

Donna: This isn't a romance novel. You don't have to be head over heels for someone to make them happy.

Katie: So you don't love him?

Donna: You know what? I am tired of this conversation, and I'm not gonna have your little naive girl ways get in the way of the most important day of my life.

Katie: Why? Why is it so important, Donna? Is it important because you can't wait to marry Thorne and live happily ever after? Or is important because you can't wait to make Stephanie suck lemons?

Donna: Stephanie took Brooke's children from her. She is the enemy, okay? It's the Logans versus the Forresters. It always has been, and it always will be.

Katie: You're about to become a Forrester.

Donna: Good. We finally have someone on the inside. Look, you-- you don't have to approve, but you will stand up for me. You're a Logan. Remember that. And us Logans-- we stick together... no matter what.

Thorne: (Whispering)

Stephanie: You know, you were the best baby I ever had. You were the one that, um-- you were the most fun. (Laughing) and I should have paid more attention, and I should have set the bar higher, I know. And it's my fault that you don't expect more.

Thorne: Or maybe it just looks that way to you, mother, because you expect too much from people.

Stephanie: Maybe. But you deserve better than Donna Logan. I know I've said that to you every which way I can, so I'm gonna stop. You're going to get married. I'm not happy about it, but I'm going to support it.

Thorne: Really?

Stephanie: Really. You're a smart guy. You're going to figure this out eventually. It's just that it breaks my heart to think you're gonna go through a lot of pain and unhappiness, but this is your lesson to learn.

Thorne: (Scoffs) this support doesn't sound too supportive, mother.

Stephanie: Maybe I should've saved the support line for now. I love you. You know that. I am not happy about the choice that you're making, but I'm going to support it. And don't ever forget that I will always, always be there for you. Okay?

Thorne: (Sniffs) (Shakily) Thank you. I love you, Mother.

Eric: It is.

Ashley: Hello. Have I missed anything?

Rick: Hey. No, not yet.

Ashley: Really? Nothing's happened? I'd heard that these Forrester weddings could be very exciting.

Eric: We're--we're hoping this one won't be.

Ashley: Okay.

Bridget: Although I don't know. The mood Stephanie's in...

Eric: Oh, boy. Ashley, I'm so glad you're here, in spite of the fact that Ridge isn't.

Ashley: Thank you. Yeah.

Bridget: Yeah, you know, I think those kids really needed to be with Brooke and Ridge right now.

Ashley: Yeah, well, Ridge certainly felt so.

Stephanie: I don't. I honestly don't. I-I think it's very selfish of Brooke to keep his brother away from the wedding. I-I think Ridge is probably the only one that could've talked him out of this fiasco. Well, it's true, and he should be here. And Brooke should just leave him alone.

Jackie: Katie's gone.

Donna: Just... give me the jewelry and let's get over to the house.

Jackie: You didn't even think about what I said.

Donna: Look, this--this wedding is happening, Jackie, and I don't want to hear any more negativity from you or anybody else.

 (Knock on door)

Katie: Hey.

Thorne: Hey, Katie.

Katie: Um...

Katie: I hope I'm not interrupting anything.

Thorne: No, no. I was just, uh, counting my blessings. I'm a, uh, very, very lucky man.

Rick: So big bear, huh?

Ashley: It's okay.

Rick: Just a weekend alone with my mom and the kids?

Ashley: Yup. They needed some time, and Ridge hasn't given me any reason not to trust him.

Rick: He's missing his brother's wedding, Ashley. This is not just some simple family getaway. Something else is going on.

Ashley: If it concerned me, Ridge-- he would have told me.

Rick: He tried to take my mom's kids away from her, and she forgave him. That should tell you more than Ridge ever could.

(Indistinct conversation)

Eric: (Laughing) all right. You stuck around. Should I be happy about that?

Stephanie: Well, I changed my clothes, didn't I? Don't worry about me. I haven't been able to accept this. I really would like to have stopped the wedding. (Sighs) It is what it is. I wish there was somebody here, though, that could.

Jackie: So how did you handle things with your sister?

Donna: Katie doesn't understand.

Jackie: Hm.

Donna: I mean, she's always had these grand ideas about love and marriage, just like you. Except I don't know where she gets hers from, because our parents aren't together. And--and Brooke has had how many husbands? But no--no, I have to be madly in love to-- to walk down the aisle. Anything else would be a lie.

Jackie: She's your family, Donna. She just wants what's best for you.

Donna: Thorne is best for me, okay? So why don't you just, like, help me get this dress on and-- and get this wedding started?

Katie: Pretty significant pieces of jewelry.

Thorne: (Chuckles) except for a crown, I'd probably put 'em at the top of the list.

Katie: It's a little daunting, isn't it?

Thorne: It can be, if you take it seriously. Some people don't. Some people see getting married as something to cross off the list of life's experiences.

Katie: But that's not true for you?

Thorne: I've been married to some incredible women. I know what this commitment means.

Katie: Does it worry you that Donna might not?

Thorne: Oh, she knows. It's just actually different when you've done it.

Katie: You don't have as many romantic notions?

Thorne: You'd think so, but no. It's even more romantic, because you really understand what you're getting into. When I say "I do," I'm saying to Donna that I will be there on the last day of our lives together. And I will be holding her hand through every single significant event that she goes through.

Katie: That's beautiful.

Thorne: (Scoffs) that's marriage.

Katie: You really love my sister a lot, don't you?

Thorne: I realize that this happened fast, but sometimes love just catches you off guard.

Katie: Yeah, Donna can do that.

Thorne: (Chuckles) well, that's not all she's done for me. She reached out to me when really needed help, when no one else noticed. You know, people-- they don't give Donna the credit that she deserves. I know my mother doesn't. I mean, she has watched everyone else's dreams come true. Well, not anymore, because starting tonight, Donna is going to get everything that she has ever wanted, including the respect of my family and support.

Katie: That's an awful lot to ask of your mother

Thorne: Well, I'm not asking, and Donna will not be treated the way that she's been treated. My mother is going to have to accept that your sister and I love each other, period. However, this is not just about me. It's about Aly, too... (Sighs) my daughter. She's just been through so much. I wouldn't be marrying your sister if I didn't think that her intentions were entirely pure.

Katie: But they're not, Thorne. They're not.

Eric: I'm so glad you're here. Thanks for coming. This is what Thorne wants.

Stephanie: (Sighs) he wanted a go-kart when he was 12, and we didn't give it to him, because he was too...

Eric: He is not 12 anymore.

Stephanie: I know that. I just wish-- look, I can't help it. I wish there was someone who could talk him out of this. That would be a miracle.

Donna: White might raise a few eyebrows, but it will definitely make Stephanie sick.

Jackie: White isn't what it used to be.

Donna: Well, today it signifies Stephanie's surrender. She had a million chances to accept my sister, and she didn't. Now she's got me.

(Telephone buzzes)

Donna: Hello? Okay. It's Storm. It's time.

Jackie: You're really gonna go through with this?

Donna: Nobody is gonna stop me.

Thorne: Look, I'm not saying that Donna's trying to make my mother her best friend.

Katie: This isn't easy for me to say. And I'm sure it's not gonna be easy for you to hear, but you need to know what's going on. Donna doesn't love you the way you think she does.

Thorne: Yes, she does, Katie. You don't see it, but there is a connection.

Katie: Where? In the bedroom?

Thorne: (Scoffs) ye--yeah, there is a physical side to it, yes.

Katie: Is it just sex, or is there something more?

Thorne: Do you think that's all I see in your sister?

Katie: No, I think you see so much more. The way you talk about her-- it's beautiful. I only hope that somebody thinks of me that way someday. But Donna doesn't love you. She's just doing this to make Stephanie insane.

Thorne: (Scoffs) Oh, did my mother put you up to this?

Katie: Donna wants Stephanie to pay for every indignity that our family has endured.

Thorne: Donna wants to bring our families together.

Katie: No, she doesn't. That's a lie. She doesn't even think it's possible.

Thorne: She told you that?

Katie: I overheard her talking to Jackie.

Thorne: Oh, please. Jackie hates my mother.

Katie: So does Donna, so much that she's willing to marry a man that she doesn't love for revenge.

Thorne: No, Katie. No.

Katie: You haven't ever had any doubts? This has never even crossed your mind?

Thorne: Why are you doing this?

Katie: Because I have to. Look, my sister will probably never talk to me again. You might not either, but I cannot let you stand up and make a commitment based on a lie.

Thorne: Are you asking me not to marry your sister?

Katie: I can't tell you what to do. I just think you need to know the truth. What you do with that is up to you. I believe marriage is a sacred union. I don't believe that it's just a legal document, that it's just a piece of paper. I believe that it's the melding of two people-- their hearts, their bodies, their souls... forever. And the only thing-- the only bond that lasts that long is love.

Thorne: How do you know that Donna doesn't love me, Katie?

(Door opening)

Eric: Thorne? Minister is ready to start now.

Thorne: Okay. Okay.

Eric: You coming?

Thorne: (Breathing hard)

(Playing instrumental music)

(Indistinct conversation)

Ashley: Rick, why don't you go sit next to Stephanie?

Rick: What?!

Ashley: Come on. No. Forget about that.

Felicia: Come on, somebody has to restrain her at the "Speak now or forever hold your peace" bit. You're a big, strapping guy. You might stand half a chance.

Rick: Half a chance? (Scoffs)

(Playing instrumental music)

Storm: Donna's getting pretty nervous. Where the hell you been?

Katie: Donna should be nervous.

Phoebe: How does Thorne look to you?

Felicia: A little green.

Phoebe: Yeah, I thought so, too.

(Indistinct conversation)

Eric: Thorne? Are you all right?

Thorne: I just need a minute.

(Playing Wagner's "Bridal Chorus from 'Lohengrin'")

Phoebe: Katie doesn't look that great, either.

Donna: (Sighs) (Whispering) Katie's here.

Storm: Where else would she be?

Donna: (Mouths words)
