Brooke: Andy, what are you doing here?
Andy: Custody case.
Brooke: I told you to leave it in the mailbox. How did you get in here?
Andy: The terrace. The other night when I delivered the bird, I noticed that you leave it open. That's not a good idea for a beautiful woman living alone.
Rick: All right, let's just take it from the top again please -- Phoebe? Please, we have to rehearse this. If the song is going to get better, we have to practice it.
Phoebe: It's not about practice, Rick. It's me.
Rick: Well, yes, you're a little tense right now. But we can improve that.
Phoebe: We can't.
Rick: We can't. Yes, we can. We can do this, Phoebe. Come on.
Phoebe: "I want to spend my lifetime loving you?" I don't feel it. And if I can't feel it, then I can't sing it.
Stephanie: I thought you'd never get home.
Felicia: Why? Is everything okay?
Stephanie: Oh, everything's fine. Why? What happened?
Felicia: Mother, he totally won me over. Would you believe if I told you that he is donating all the money from the boldface challenge to the hospital that cured my cancer?
Stephanie: Oh. No, I want to know about Brooke.
Felicia: You want to know about Brooke's date?
Felicia: Nice. Some things never change. So, this is about Ridge? About if he's keeping his kids?
Stephanie: Look, she is going to court tomorrow to ask for custody of those children. I want to know where she was tonight.
Felicia: Out enjoying herself.
Stephanie: With a man?
Felicia: Yes, Mother, with a man. So was I. Does that make me a bad mother, too?
Stephanie: No, of course not. But with Brooke, it's never just one man. And I don't want those two children hanging around while she goes through another string of men.
Felicia: She left alone, Mother.
Stephanie: Ridge is the only one who can raise those children properly --
Felicia: Did you hear what I said? Brooke didn't leave the restaurant with her date. She left the restaurant by herself.
Brooke: Thank you for the papers, Andy.
Andy: You know, you should read that.
Brooke: Oh, I will. Tomorrow.
Andy: Oh, I don't think there's going to be enough time. There's some really important great stuff in there. What the judge might expect, the most persuasive arguments -- it will help you in the hearing.
Brooke: Yeah, yeah, I'll definitely read it. It's just that right now, I need to get some rest.
Andy: Oh, you can't go to bed yet. Come on. You're going to get your kids back tomorrow.
Brooke: I hope so.
Andy: Of course you will. You should celebrate. Enjoy your last night of freedom. Have a little grown up fun.
Brooke: Andy, Cafe Russe was a wonderful evening. And you were a perfect gentleman, but I -- I really do need to call it an evening.
Andy: What you need to do is relax. The perfect thing to relax before bed -- a nightcap. Here we go. Oh, this is the good stuff.
Brooke: You know, I'm not really in the mood for a drink.
Andy: Oh, come on now, Brooke. You know, I swore off drinking alone the first night I met you. Join me. I won't take no for an answer.
Rick: You can't sing it because you don't feel it?
Phoebe: Not with you.
Rick: But you feel it with Constantine.
Phoebe: Because that's what it is with Constantine. It's singing.
Rick: It's singing?
Phoebe: Yes, it's -- with us, it's different. Singing was our connection. It's how we fell in love.
Rick: You're afraid that might happen again.
Phoebe: That's not what I'm saying.
Rick: It's not what you're saying, but it's what you're feeling.
Phoebe: You don't --
Rick: Look, listen to me. You say you can't sing it because you don't feel it. I think you do feel it and you're so tense because you don't want to feel that way.
Phoebe: You know what? It doesn't matter why I can't do it, I just can't.
Rick: It matters to me. Because I believe there's still something there.
Phoebe: It's not the same.
Rick: But it's something and you're fighting the hell out of it --
Phoebe: It's not what we had! I think about the way things were. And it's sad because I know we can't get that back. The way I felt about you and the way I trusted you. I won't have that again. Because now I know all the promises and "I love yous" in the world can't keep you from getting hurt.
Rick: I messed up. Big time. Phoebe, I wish that I could go back and erase what I did. But I can't do that. But I can promise you that I would never betray you --
Phoebe: Rick, it's not enough. Okay? I can't believe you anymore. And I don't think I'll be able to believe you again.
Andy: Come on. Come on. One little drink.
Brooke: Having a drink before a hearing is probably not a wise idea.
Andy: Are you asking me to leave?
Brooke: Yes. I need to be alone.
Andy: No, you don't. See, that's the problem. You're all alone in this big house. No man in your life. You miss your kids. It's a very sad story, but it could be a happy ending.
Brooke: Yes, it will be, tomorrow in court. If I make a good showing, but I can't do that if I'm exhausted.
Andy: Oh. So, you're worried that I'm going to wear you out? Keep you up too late?
Brooke: Look, I don't mean to be rude, it's just we really need to call it a night.
Andy: One more thing. Brooke, you can't let child protective services scare you. Barging into your house, taking advantage of you. It's such a violation.
Brooke: Right. If you don't mind --
Andy: Don't open that door. You forgot to turn off the alarm.
Andy: Are you sure you want me to go? Last chance.
Brooke: Good night, Andy.
Andy: All right. See you soon.
When all I said and done you are the moon and sun my world is darker when you're gone so baby, shine shine on all my life, all my life I've been waiting for a girl like you said all my life, all my life I've been waiting for a girl, waiting for a girl like you
Felicia: The door was open, so --
Constantine: My mind must have been somewhere else when I came in.
Felicia: I know the feeling.
Talk to me.
Stephanie: Andy, it's Stephanie Forrester. I hear your evening didn't go very well.
Andy: What, you got somebody tailing me?
Stephanie: No, of course not. You're going to see Brooke again, aren't you?
Andy: Well, I'm standing right outside her door right now.
Stephanie: Oh, she did invite you over?
Andy: No. More like I invited myself. I tried to get her to have a drink with me. She turned me down.
Stephanie: Well, look, Andy, you're a charming fellow. Don't give up.
Stephanie's voice: She's just a regular gal. A girl from the valley. You know, eats oatmeal for breakfast, runs in the park for exercise. Hides her key under the flowerpot just like the rest of us.
Brooke: I'm just being silly. I locked the door. I'm fine.
Constantine: I guess you can't keep me off your mind, huh?
Felicia: Well, you know what you did is pretty hard to forget.
Constantine: Just a little research, that's all.
Felicia: Uh-huh. Did that research also tell you that, well in the past, I've been a sucker for bad boys?
Constantine: Is that what I am, a bad boy?
Felicia: Well, I thought so. When I first met you, but now, I'm not so sure.
Constantine: Well, maybe you should do a little research on me.
Felicia: I don't need to. Because that gesture -- donating all the proceeds to cancer research -- that's everything I need to know. And the way you've treated Phoebe, that says something, too.
Constantine: I guess I'm falling out of the bad boy category.
Felicia: Afraid so.
Constantine: I could bust up a guitar -- you know, trash the place or something, if you like.
Felicia: No, please don't. You don't have to. No, you've already done enough. And that's kind of why I'm here. Because I wanted to thank you. And I thought about chocolate, champagne -- but what I really wanted to give you is this.
Rick: Can you please tell me what I can do to make this right?
Phoebe: I don't know. Do you not think I've been trying? Trying to justify what you did and making up excuses and reasons why you'll never do this again.
Rick: I won't.
Phoebe: Maybe that's not even the problem. I mean, even if we could get past this -- even if that's possible -- I'm not sure I want to.
Rick: You don't want to be with me?
Phoebe: Not if we end up with something that's broken, but stuck back together with promises and maybes.
Rick: No, Phoebe, I am so sure about us.
Phoebe: What us? Rick, the us that we were? Because that us doesn't exist anymore.
Rick: It doesn't mean we're left with nothing. Look, we can't go back. We both know that. But maybe we can go forward.
Phoebe: Just start over?
Rick: Yeah. Mm-hmm. Right here, right now. I'm not saying clean slate. I'm not saying let's forget about what's happened. My mom's tried that a thousand times. Trust me, it doesn't work.
Phoebe: Everything a mess.
Rick: Yes, it's a mess. It's an absolute disaster area. It's a train wreck, Phoebe. But think about it. In a real disaster, do they rebuild everything exactly the way it was? No. It wasn't good enough. That's why it fell apart in the first place. So you take what you learned and you build it stronger. You build it better. I want to be up on that stage with you. Because I want the entire world to see how much I love you. And now I'm going to love you forever. I believe those words. But you got to give me a chance, okay? You have to give me a chance to help you believe them, too.
Andy: Did you miss me?
Andy: Shh, shh. No, no. You don't have to say anything. I know you've been sitting up here just waiting for me. Wearing sexy lingerie wondering, where is he? You know what they say -- anticipation is everything.
Andy: Shh, shh. We could have had a nice night tonight.
Brooke: Andy, wait. Wait.
Andy: No, no, I've waiting way too long. There's nobody here. It's just you and me, baby.
Brooke: Get off. No, no, no. Please. No, leave me alone. Stop!
Andy: You're not going anywhere.
